President Trump is scheduled to deliver remarks tonight in Warren, Michigan to commemorate his first 100 days in office. 

The rally, meant to celebrate his successes, likely comes in anticipation of the midterm election in Michigan, where Democratic Senator Gary Peters has said that he will not run for reelection.

It also comes amid speculation over Trump running for a third term in 2028 after winning the state last November.

As The Gateway Pundit reported on Thursday, Trump’s middle son, Eric Trump, showcased new Trump 2028 merchandise, hinting that the campaign is already in motion.

However, in a recent interview with Time Magazine, Trump said he's not interested in using loopholes to go around the Constitution. Still, Republicans in Congress are currently weighing the option of amending the 22nd Amendment, which limits the presidency to two terms, to allow President Trump to seek a third term.

Trump is expected to tout his massive success in securing the southern border and saving the American economy from Joe Biden's destructive four years.

February 2025 saw a 94% decrease from the 140,641 illegals encountered at the Border under Biden and Harris last February. In March 2025, there was another 94% decrease from the 137,000 illegals that entered in March 2024. At the same time, President Trump is actually deporting massive numbers of illegals from the interior of the United States.

The Trump administration has also made significant strides in balancing the budget through tariff revenues, cutting waste, fraud, and abuse in spending, and bringing an American energy and manufacturing boom to the United States.

The White House announced on Friday that President Trump has secured $5.2 trillion in private and foreign investments in American manufacturing, data centers, AI, and energy production.

President Trump began an address to the Michigan National Guard at Selfridge Air National Guard Base at approximately 4:30 pm ET. He promised to build a brand new base amid concerns of a potential base closure.

The President concluded his speech at approximately 4:50 pm and is en route to the Macomb County Community College Sports Expo Center for his big rally.

Germany’s spiraling welfare costs have reached a historic record, with newly released government data revealing the country spent €46.7 billion ($53.2 billion) on so-called “citizens’ money” in 2024—a staggering 10 percent increase over the previous year. The primary driver? Mass immigration and a growing welfare-dependent migrant underclass.

Perplexingly, more than half of all recipients of “citizens’ money” are not German passport holders, according to figures from the Federal Employment Agency (BA). In the 15 to 25-year age group, the share of foreign welfare recipients rises to a shocking 71.3 percent.

Since Angela Merkel’s disastrous open-border policy in 2015-2016, which saw over a million migrants admitted, the long-term burden on the German taxpayer has only deepened.

Payments to foreigners have more than tripled, skyrocketing from €6.9 billion ($7.8 billion) in 2015 to €22.2 billion ($25.3 billion) in 2024. Now, the once sturdy German welfare state appears close to buckling under the weight of its own policy excesses.

“These numbers are the result of importing mass poverty,” Alternative for Germany (AfD) Member of European Parliament (MEP) René Springer declared, slamming the establishment’s willful negligence. “We’re not just talking about cultural disintegration, we’re talking about economic suicide.”

Even the center-right, establishment CDU, which has played an outsized role in creating the problem, is now sounding alarm bells. CDU Secretary General Carsten Linnemann admitted the current model is unsustainable: “Once again it shows how urgently this citizen’s allowance must be abolished,” he told the German newspaper Bild. “The new government will tackle this quickly.”

However, many view the CDU’s newfound ‘concern’ as little more than political theater, designed to siphon off conservative votes from the AfD.

Across the board, costs have exploded. The standard rates and social contributions alone climbed by €2.5 billion ($2.8 billion) to €22.1 billion ($25.1 billion). Housing and heating allowances rose by €1 billion ($1.1 billion), bringing the total to €17.7 billion ($20.1 billion). Local municipalities were also forced to shoulder €6.9 billion ($7.8 billion) in accommodation costs—€400 million ($455 million) more than the year prior.

The federal budget is approaching a breaking point. Nearly 50 percent of Germany’s total budget is now consumed by social benefits such as pensions, long-term care, and so-called “citizen’s money.” This marks the highest share since reunification and far exceeds the long-term average, according to the Federal Statistical Office.

To put things into perspective, migration-related expenses alone now rival Germany’s entire defense budget, with the federal government shelling out €28.6 billion ($32.5 billion) this year and another €19.6 billion ($22.3 billion) covered by the federal states and municipalities. Major costs include refugee accommodation, registration, and educational support—all funded by the hardworking German taxpayer.

Social Democrat Minister of Labor Hubertus Heil (SPD) attempted to contain the fallout with his so-called “job turbo” program aimed at integrating welfare recipients into the workforce. The initiative has failed. With 5.5 million people now receiving “citizen’s money,” there is little to show for the socialists efforts.

The draft version of the new coalition agreement includes plans to reform the citizens’ allowance into a more restrictive “basic security” system for job seekers. Officials have proposed tougher sanctions for those who repeatedly refuse work, including full withdrawal of benefits in extreme cases.

Yet critics argue these half-measures come far too late.

CBS News is spiraling into disarray, with insiders describing the atmosphere as “very chaotic” following the abrupt exit of Bill Owens, one of just three men to have been the executive producer of “60 Minutes.”

The turmoil, reported by Fox News, stems from a broader unraveling at the network, where leadership changes and internal clashes have left staff rattled.

Owens’ departure, after a storied tenure at “60 Minutes,” was a seismic blow, but sources said it’s merely the tip of the iceberg.

An insider told Fox News that CBS News is teetering on the edge, with morale plummeting as employees brace for more upheaval.

“Nobody knows what the next shoe that will drop,” the insider told Fox. “And internally, it’s just very chaotic because everyone doesn’t know what will happen next.”

The chaos traces back to President Donald Trump, who sued CBS over a “60 Minutes” interview with failed presidential candidate and then-Vice President Kamala Harris that he claimed was deceptively edited.

The lawsuit, filed late in 2024, sparked a firestorm, with Owens reportedly resigning under pressure from network brass.

Owens didn’t go quietly, telling employees that he was no longer allowed to make “independent decisions,” a damning indictment of CBS’s top-down control.

Reports suggest that Paramount — the parent company of CBS News — has been meddling more with programming as it tries to spin-off a major sale/merger of various networks.

Those sales, by the way, would require some sort of approval from the Trump administration, including the Federal Communications Commission.

The anti-establishment lens sees this as poetic justice for a network long accused of pushing leftist narratives, now crumbling under pressure from the new administration it had so frequently vilified.

CBS’s obsession with polished, agenda-driven reporting — whether on Harris or broader political coverage — and Paramount’s meddling has alienated viewers and, apparently, its own talent.

It led to a stunning on-air moment where “60 Minutes” host Scott Pelley publicly lambasted the decision-making that ultimately led to Owens’ departure:

“Get out of our way, and let us keep working how we have been for decades,” an insider apparently told her.

The broader media landscape isn’t helping. CBS is bleeding trust as audiences turn to unfiltered platforms like X, where raw sentiment often outpaces corporate spin.

The next shoe, as the insider warned, is poised to drop — and it might just bury the network’s credibility for good.

Power is finally returning to Spain and Portugal on Tuesday after the countries experience the biggest blackout ever.

On Monday, traffic lights, trains, airports, card payment processing, and phones were all affected by a massive power outage in Spain, Portugal and France.

Millions of people were in the dark and everything came to a halt because of a sweeping blackout.

Amid speculation and a lack of clear answers on Monday, some said that the blackout could be the result of a coordinated cyberattack.

However, the cause of the biggest blackout ever in Spain and Portugal is likely due to solar plant breakdowns.

Spain’s power grid operator Red Eléctrica said it identified at least two power losses to solar plants.

Fox News reported:

The massive power outage that wreaked havoc in Europe is being blamed on a pair of likely solar plant breakdowns in southwest Spain, a report said.

By 7 a.m. local time Tuesday, more than 99% of energy demand in Spain had been restored, the country’s electricity operator Red Eléctrica announced. Portuguese grid operator REN said on Tuesday morning that all the 89 power substations had been back online since late last night and power had been restored to all 6.4 million customers.

Red Eléctrica said it identified two power generation loss incidents in southwest Spain – likely involving solar plants – that caused instability in the Spanish power grid and contributed to a breakdown of its interconnection to France, according to Reuters.

The economic cost of Monday’s blackout across the Iberian Peninsula could range between $2.5 billion to more than $5 billion, it cited investment bank RBC as saying.
