White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed to reporters that discussions between the U.S. and Iran remain ongoing after giving a statement on the President, indicating a peaceful solution could still be reached in the Middle East. 

Leavitt delivered a press briefing on Thursday, her first since Israel launched a missile strike on Iran’s nuclear facility and other targets across Iran.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Leavitt read a message from the President during her opening remarks, stating that negotiations are still on the table, and he will decide on whether or not to engage in the war between Iran and Israel “within the next two weeks.”

Leavitt responded to the President's supporters who are criticizing potential U.S. involvement in the war, urging them to trust the President will make the right decision and highlighting his record of world peace. "Trust in President Trump. President Trump has incredible instincts, and President Trump kept America and the world safe in his first term as president in implementing a peace through strength foreign policy agenda," she said.

Reporters followed up with questions about the President's comment that "there is a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future." Leavitt confirmed that the United States and Iran are still in talks, both directly and indirectly and reiterated the President's statement that a decision on whether or not to "go in" will be made withinin two weeks or less.

Reporter: Can you confirm whether Steve Witkoff has been in touch with the Iranian foreign minister and does Witkoff plan to go to Geneva tomorrow for talks?

Leavitt: I am not tracking that on Mr. Witkoff travel schedule, but I can certainly check in with him to be sure. As for correspondence between the United States and the Iranians, I can confirm that correspondence has continued. As you know, we were engaged with six rounds of negotiations with them in both indirect and direct ways.

Reporter: Just to clarify the President's statement just now, when he says that he'll make a decision in the next two weeks, is he saying that if Iran does not come back to the negotiating table within the next two weeks that the President will strike?

Leavitt: The President is saying that he will make a decision whether or not to go within the next two weeks, very clear and direct.

Reporter: And is he seeing any signs of progress? He obviously is holding out hope for negotiations, but is he seeing any inklings of progress that give him that hope that talks are still possible?

Leavitt: Well, that's why he said in the statement that I just read for all of you, based on the fact that there's a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future, he will make that decision within the next two weeks.

Leavitt then outlined the deal that the U.S. seeks with Iran, but did not provide many details on the ongoing negotiations.

President Trump wants Iran's nuclear enrichment programs to end and to ensure that Iran has no nuclear capabilities.

Reporter: What exactly would a deal with Iran need to entail?

Leavitt: No enrichment of uranium, and it would absolutely not— Iran is absolutely not able to achieve a nuclear weapon. The President has been very clear about that. And by the way, the deal that Special Envoy Witkoff proposed to the Iranians was both realistic and acceptable within its terms, and that's why the President sent that deal to them.

Reporter: Are the talks that the United States is currently having with Iran direct, or are those through intermediaries and if so, which countries are acting as the intermediary right now?

Leavitt: Out of respect for the ongoing discussions and negotiations. I'm not going to get into the details of them. We've provided you confirmation for now.

The Senate Judiciary Committee brought in three witnesses to testify on Joe Biden’s mental and health decline on Wednesday.

Former White House Press Secretary under Trump 1.0, Sean Spicer, former DOJ official under Trump, Theodore Wold, and University of Virginia law professor John Harrison testified in a Senate hearing.

Theodore Wold said Biden’s autopen was deployed day 5 of his presidency. Wold said there is no evidence to suggest that Joe Biden authorized use of the autopen.

A third Biden autopen was recently discovered amid a federal investigation into “who ran the United States while Biden was in office.”

House Oversight Chairman James Comer is also spearheading a congressional investigation into Biden’s health coverup.

President Trump recently directed his White House Counsel, David Warrington, in consultation with Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate “whether certain individuals conspired to deceive the public about Biden’s mental state and unconstitutionally exercise the authorities and responsibilities of the President.”

Trump announced:

Today, President Donald J. Trump signed a Presidential Memorandum directing an investigation into who ran the United States while President Biden was in office.

• The Memorandum directs an investigation into whether certain individuals conspired to deceive the public about Biden’s mental state and unconstitutionally exercise the authorities and responsibilities of the President.
• The Memorandum also mandates an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Biden’s purported execution of the numerous executive actions during his final years in office, examining policy documents signed with an autopen, who authorized its use, and the validity of the resulting Presidential policy decisions.

The third autopen signature was in use starting the first week of the Biden Presidency to sign proclamations.

The Oversight Project previously gathered every document they could find with Biden’s signature – ALL used the same autopen signature except for the announcement that he was dropping out of the 2024 election.

A federal judge on Thursday issued a preliminary injunction barring the Trump Administration from withholding funding from cities that refuse to cooperate with ICE.

US District Judge John J. McConnell, an Obama appointee, said Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy lacked the authority and his directive was vague and unconstitutional.

20 Democrat attorneys general filed a lawsuit in response to Secretary Duffy’s April order that required states to comply with federal immigration enforcement action in order to receive transportation funding and federal grants.

The attorneys general argued in court this week that Congress already approved the funds.

Judge McConnell sided with the Democrat AGs and issued a preliminary injunction on Thursday.

“The IEC, backed by the Duffy Directive, is arbitrary and capricious in its scope and lacks specificity in how the States are to cooperate on immigration enforcement in exchange for Congressionally appropriated transportation dollars–grant money that the States rely on to keep their residents safely and efficiently on the road, in the sky, and on the rails,” Judge McConnell wrote in a 10-page order reviewed by The Gateway Pundit.

Judge McConnell said Duffy’s order violates the Constitution.

“These conditions violate the Spending Clause as well; the IEC is not at all reasonably related to the transportation funding program grants whose statutorily articulated purposes are for the maintenance and safety of roads, highways, bridges, and development of other transportation projects. The Government does not cite to any plausible connection between cooperating with ICE enforcement and the congressionally approved purposes of the Department of Transportation,” the judge wrote.

“The Court finds that the record now before it confirms that the States’ claims are likely to succeed because the Defendants’ actions here violate the Constitution and statutes of the United States,” the judge said.

Per the judge’s order:

1. Defendants are prohibited from implementing or enforcing the Immigration Enforcement Condition as set forth in the Duffy Directive.

2. Defendants are prohibited from withholding or terminating federal funding based on the Immigration Enforcement Condition as set forth in the Duffy Directive absent specific statutory authorization.

3. Defendants are prohibited from taking adverse action against any state entity or local jurisdiction, including barring it from receiving or making it ineligible for federal funding, based on the Immigration Enforcement Condition, absent specific statutory authorization.

4. The Court forbids and enjoins any attempt to implement the Immigration Enforcement Condition, and any actions by the Defendants to implement or enforce the Immigration Enforcement Condition

Recall that it was revealed that Judge McConnell, who previously halted President Trump’s temporary spending freeze, received over $100 million in government funding for his NGO.

Judge McConnell also called President Trump a “tyrant” and decried racism as a “white people problem.”

SpaceX Starship 36 exploded on the launch pad during a static fire test Wednesday night at Massey Outpost, Starbase, Texas. No one was reported injured in the spectacular fireball. This is the latest setback in Elon Musk’s ambitious plan to establish a human colony on Mars. Several recent Starship test flights have experienced flight ending explosions.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt delivered an epic smackdown of far-left Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) following her vile remarks earlier about Trump supporters.

During an interview on Katie Couric’s podcast “Next Question,” Crockett attacked Trump supporters as “mentally ill” while launching tired, cliché-ridden attacks against the commander-in-chief.

“You know, we’ve got a mental health crisis in this country because everyone, no matter how you affiliate yourself, should be against Trump. Period,” she told Couric. “This is not partisan for me. Like, I would give anything to have, sad to say, George Bush.

Like, give me any regular Republican nowadays, and I would be happy,” Crockett added. “But right now, we have someone who does not care, and he is being enabled by the fact that there are, you know, people that follow him and they pump him up, as well as the people that are surrounding him.”

When a reporter brought these comments up to Leavitt during Thursday’s White House press briefing, her response was brutal. As one will notice, she combined a bit of sass and a proper dressing down of Crockett’s lack of political electability outside her district.

“She is a rising star, it’s quite something to behold, actually,” Leavitt replied with a smile. “I hope she continues to be a rising star for the Republican Party at least. ”

“It’s incredibly derogatory to accuse nearly 80 million Americans of mental illness, Leavitt said. “The last time I checked, Jasmine Crockett couldn’t dream of winning such a majority of the public as President Trump did.”

Leavitt closed by saying Crockett should educate herself because she would see that Trump’s supporters are ordinary, salt-of-the-earth Americans of all backgrounds who make our nation the greatest in the world.

“And the America First movement, which President Trump has built, is filled (with) hardworking patriots, the forgotten men and women,” she added. “Business owners, law enforcement officers, nurses… And middle-America. ”

“And Jasmine Crockett should go to a Trump rally sometime, and she can see it for herself.”
