Michelle Obama made a bizarre comment during a recent interview that raised even more speculation about the state of her marriage with her husband.

Appearing on NPR’s “Wild Card” podcast with host Rachel Martin this week, Michelle attempted to address why she and Barack are rarely seen out in public.

“The fact that people don’t see me going out on a date with my husband sparks rumors of the end of our marriage,” Michelle told Martin earlier this week.

“It’s the apocalypse!” Martin mockingly exclaimed.

“It’s like, ‘OK, so we don’t Instagram every minute of our lives. We are 60,” she added. “You are just not going to know what we’re doing every minute of the day.”

“We don’t take selfies.”

WATCH:

This comment from Michelle immediately sparked confusion across social media and did nothing to shut down the months-long divorce rumors.

After all, most healthy couples have no issue hanging out together in public, regardless of age.

Last night, various X users posted videos of barriers being placed outside the White House and U.S. Treasury.

The initial move made social media speculate why the barriers were set up.

However, D.C. Journalist Andrew Leyden has the answer.

On a post on X, Leyden noted that the barriers were raised in preparation for the “Iran protest by the ANSWER coalition.”

Leyden wrote, in response to a user on X asking why the barriers were being set up for the “Iran protest by ANSWER coalition, but the organizers cancelled the protest late last night. Fence guys didn’t get the memo. Guess it will come down soon unless they booked it through the Fourth of July.”

The ANSWER Coalition protest was initially scheduled for the 28th of June to protest the Iran War, but President Trump ended the war so early that they had to cancel the event!

Here was the original announcement for the protest by ANSWER:

Trump is also lying when he says Iran was about to get a nuclear weapon — even the US government’s intelligence agencies publicly say that is not true.

Trump is partnering with wanted war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu to carry out this assault. This is an extension of the genocide the Palestinian people have been subjected to for the past 20+ months. And Israel is an extension of U.S. interests in the region, carrying out terrible atrocities with its arsenal paid for by our tax dollars.

President Trump’s son Eric has suggested he may run for office and his family could become America’s next political dynasty.

In an interview with The Financial Times, Eric Trump said both he and other members of his family could easily pursue a political career if they wish to do so.

The real question is: ‘Do you want to drag other members of your family into it?’” Eric said.

“Would I want my kids to live the same experience over the last decade that I’ve lived?

“You know, if the answer was yes, I think the political path would be an easy one, meaning, I think I could do it.”

“And by the way, I think other members of our family could do it too.”

The 41-year-old said he remained “wholly unimpressed by half the politicians I see” and argued he “could do it very effectively”.

“I don’t know ,” he said when asked directly about his ambitions. “ Time will tell. But there’s more people than just me.”

“The question is, do you want to do it? And do you want to subject the people that you love to the brutality of this system? And I’m not sure if I can answer that question yet.”

The most likely other family member to pursue a political career would be Eric’s older brother Don Jr., who is even being floated as a potential 2028 presidential nominee.

However, the most likely contenders remain Vice-President J.D. Vance and Secretary fo State Marco Rubio.

Other Trump family members interested in running may include his daughters Ivanaka and Tiffany.

The president’s youngest son Barron is also said to be heavily interested in politics and prvately helped his father connect with younger voters during his presidential campaign.

Meanwhile, Eric’s wife Lara is heavily involved in the Republican Party and publicly expressed interest in being appointed to Florida’s vacant Senate seat after Rubio was nominated to the role.

However, Lara eventually opted to take herself out of contention, leading Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to appoint Attorney General Ashley Moody to the position.

The Trump Administration has several members who have consistently been on top of fake news reports from the corporate media, often debunking them before they have a chance to go viral. But one man still remains the destroyer of fake news narratives: President Trump himself.

Just ask one particular leftist CNN anchor.

On Friday’s episode of Newsnight with Abby Phillip (which began at 10pm ET), the host held a discussion with her guests including Scott Jennings regarding President Trump’s recent comments about potentially bombing Iran again. Jennings, of course, proved the lone sane voice in the debate.

After a bit of back-and-forth with Jennings (who defended Trump’s remarks) Phillip amplified a false report about the Trump Administration considering handing Iran billions of dollars to build a “non-nuclear” program.

“If he were to a deal with Iran that gave them $30 billion build a non-military nuclear program, would you be okay with that?” Phillip asked. “There was reporting they were considering that.”

WATCH:

Trump, who was either watching CNN at the time or alerted to Phillip’s comment, took to Truth Social and debunked the lie within a few minutes while ripping into Phillip.

“Who in the Fake News Media is the SleazeBag saying that “President Trump wants to give Iran $30 Billion to build non-military Nuclear facilities,” Trump wrote. “Never heard of this ridiculous idea.”

“It’s just another HOAX put out by the Fake News in order to demean,” he added. “These people are SICK!!!”

But Trump was not done. He later saw that Phillip was spreading nonsense about his tariff policies and bodied her yet again.

“Where does CNN get its “talent?” Trump asked. “Just watched someone named Abby Phillip lecture her audience on Tariffs and the economy (which is doing record business!).”

“She has absolutely no idea what she is talking about, strictly 3rd rate. Fortunately, the audience has long ago left CNN, and it will only get WORSE,” he continued. “LOSERS ALL!!!”

The Senate GOP released text of the 940-page reconciliation bill just after midnight. The Republicans are aiming for a Saturday vote.

On Friday afternoon President Trump said Republican Senators are working all weekend to finish his “Big Beautiful Bill.”

“The Great Republicans in the U.S. Senate are working all weekend to finish our “ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL.” We are on the precipice of delivering Massive General Tax Cuts, NO TAX ON TIPS, NO TAX ON OVERTIME, NO TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY FOR OUR SENIORS, Permanently Securing our Borders, an even Bigger and More Powerful Military (I rebuilt it during my First Term, and it is already the Best, but we will make it BETTER!), unleashing our American Economy, dominating the Energy Market, creating Jobs, and getting money back to American Families. The House of Representatives must be ready to send it to my desk before July 4th — We can get it done. It will be a wonderful Celebration for our Country, which is right now, “The Hottest Country anywhere in the World” — And to think, just last year, we were a laughingstock. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump said.

Shortly before midnight, Senate Budget Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham released text of the Big Beautiful Bill.

This is not the final bill. Senators are still making revisions.

Last weekend, Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough struck down several GOP provisions in the bill by applying the ‘Byrd Rule.’

MacDonough rejected:

  • The federal government defunding sanctuary cities
  • Defunding the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (DOGE targeted this agency)
  • The EPA’s effort to roll back Electric Vehicle mandates
  • A proposal to restrict federal courts from issuing nationwide injunctions

Fox News reported:

Senate Republicans unveiled their long-awaited version of President Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful bill,” but its survival is not guaranteed.

Senate Budget Committee Chair Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., revealed the stitched-together text of the colossal bill late Friday night.

The final product from the upper chamber is the culmination of a roughly month-long sprint to take the House GOP’s version of the bill and mold and change it. The colossal package includes separate pieces and parts from 10 Senate committees. With the introduction of the bill, a simple procedural hurdle must be passed in order to begin the countdown to final passage.

When that comes remains an open question. Senate Republicans left their daily lunch on Friday under the assumption that a vote could be teed up as early as noon on Saturday.
