On Monday President Trump’s ODNI Tulsi Gabbard released 320,000 pages of documents related to the April 4, 1968 assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The assassination of Dr. King was a major incident in American history 57 years ago in Memphis, sparking nation-wide riots in its wake. The week after his murder saw rioting in 100 U.S. cities, resulting in 43 deaths and over 3,000 injuries.

King died at age 39, and had been leading the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, agitating and protesting for Black Civil Rights since 1955. By the time of his murder, King’s political power had waned in contrast to the then-growing black power movement.

A federal court in 1977 had ordered the King files, including audio recordings of King’s wiretaps, sealed for 50 years until January 2027. The Justice Department has requested a judge to lift the seal early, specifically related to documents about the assassination rather than the broader files which would include the surveillance archives. A judge approved the early release of these 230,000 files, 18 months prior to their scheduled release date.

The King family has opposed the early disclosure, citing concerns about privacy and ‘historical distortion.’

Gabbard has said that the release fulfills the transparency mandate set by President Trump.

Some claim that a ‘preliminary AI analysis’ of the files so far indicates ‘no groundbreaking revelations.’

King was shot while standing on a balcony outside his second-floor room at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee. The assassin was alleged to be James Earl Ray. Ray fled to London, was apprehended in 1969 and charged, and pleaded guilty to the murder, receiving a 99-year sentence.

Ray recanted his plea several days later, claiming he was set up by a man named “Raoul.” Some note that Ray’s background as a petty criminal doesn’t explain how he immediately got abroad with fake IDs and passports, and also note that there were no fingerprints found on the rifle.

Ray died in 1998 in prison, but by 1994, others started alleging that there had been an ongoing government conspiracy to assassinate King.

The surviving King family has long maintained that they do not believe Ray was the killer. They have said that they believe a Memphis Police Department officer was the real assassin. Ray’s attorney, William F. Pepper, has maintained that he believes Ray was innocent, as well as the appellate judge who was the last to review the case, Judge Joe Brown.

A 1999 civil trial in Memphis, King v. Jowers et al., found that there had been a government conspiracy to kill King after a local businessman, Loyd Jowers, admitted in 1993 on ABC’s PrimeTime Live that he had helped organize the assassination with the help of the Mafia and local police. The Department of Justice officially denied working with the mob on this matter and called it a “conspiracy theory.”

King had previously been the subject of blackmail operations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Then-FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover had his deputy, William Sullivan, write a blackmail letter delivered to King, threatening to expose FBI wiretaps of King having alleged sex with underage white prostitutes, rape, and homosexual sex. In the letter, Sullivan wrote that King would be better off if he simply killed himself rather than risk the tapes coming to light.

1968 was a year of political assassinations, upheaval, and political shocks. The Tet Offensive on January 30th caused CBS broadcaster Walter Cronkite to declare the war “unwinnable,” even though American forces had completely wiped out the Viet Cong during the struggle.

On March 31st, President Lyndon Johnson announced he would not run for re-election. King was killed within the week, on April 4th. Robert Kennedy was killed at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles on June 5th, in another political assassination which has long been shrouded in suspicion and controversy. The August Democratic National Convention in Chicago was marked by violence between pro-America and pro-Communist protesters.

Robert F. Kennedy was quoted as saying after the King assassination, “Martin Luther King dedicated his life to love and to justice between fellow human beings. He died in the cause of that effort.”

The FBI wiretaps used against King were authorized by Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy Sr. in October 1963, father to the current HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The wiretaps were justified due to King speechwriter Stanley Levison’s connection to Communist agents, in addition to other Communists like Jack O’Dell and Bayard Rustin. The FBI believed he was a financial officer for the CPUSA and used this to justify extensive surveillance of King.

The information about Levison had been collected by, and passed along to the FBI, by third-party groups that track “hate” and “extremism” which labeled King’s political efforts as such. This cooperation by private groups with the FBI aided and facilitated the Bureau’s surveillance of King and his associates.

The wiretapping continued well beyond the original limit, becoming extensive, including surveillance of King’s home, office, and even hotel rooms over several years. King had come out against the ongoing Vietnam War a year before his death. In the speech in New York City, King claimed the war was indefensible, calling the U.S. government the “greatest purveyor of violence in the world today.” The editorial board of the Washington Post, in response in a piece named “Dr. King’s Error,” said King had “diminished his usefulness to his cause, his country, and his people.”

It has long been a Capitol Hill rumor in Washington, DC that select Senators were given copies of King’s sexual assaults of underage prostitutes, where staff heard the tapes.

By 1983, President Ronald Reagan signed a law to create a “Martin Luther King” holiday on the third Monday of January, as a federal holiday. By 2000, all 50 U.S. states recognized the holiday. Part of the motivation for putting the holiday on that date was to push out the southern holiday known as “Lee-Jackson Day,” which celebrated Confederate Generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., was officially unveiled and opened to the public on August 22, 2011. The 30-foot granite statue of Dr. King, known as “Stone of Hope,” was carved by Lei Yixin, a Chinese sculptor. His vision reflects the iconic imagery from King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. The statue was carved from a single block of light pink/pale white granite sourced from Fujian Province, China.

The other large archive of assassination files involve the killing of President John F. Kennedy. Created by statute in 1992, the files were released gradually and most were public by 2017, though a remaining 63,000 were finally ordered by President Trump to be released in March. As part of that release, where all files were mandated to be released, online experts found a secret folder of 75 still-withheld documents that were being specially withheld from public release despite the Trump order and command to release the files.

King’s daughter responded to the release on Twitter with the statement, “now do the Epstein files.”

Every now and then, a movie that combines heart and brains comes along, capturing the essence of the era. For MAGA conservatives, that film this year is guaranteed to be Potluck Teacher. It’s a bit reminiscent of God’s Not Dead, but goes beyond religion and delves into MAGA themes that most faith-based films do not expand into.

Potluck Teacher is a brilliant and powerful faith-based drama that explores how Gen Z young people are navigating a harrowing landscape of destroyed families, schools hostile to religious faith, and a culture that celebrates sin and antisocial behavior. The plot centers on Harrison Jones, a clerk at a sports card store. Two high school students come to the store and strike up a conversation.

Jones impresses them sufficiently that when a lazy, jaded teacher encourages her students to find an interesting local person to speak to her class (from which she excuses herself to waste the hour in the teacher’s lounge gossiping), they return to the store and ask Jones if he’d like to come and speak. Not knowing Jones’ background, they unsuspectedly spark a series of events that end up changing their lives and those of their classmates.

After praying for guidance before arriving at school, Jones reflects as the students tear into each other and the adults and society that have failed them. The students open up with emotional geysers pent up from years of anger and depression. The class, though, Mike, talks of being abused by his father, who then took up with another “stupid woman” who didn’t care about her own kids but just wanted “a man in the house.” Another student, Hailey, shares her experience of confronting “the darkness” that torments her and encourages her to hate herself.

Meanwhile, in the teachers’ breakroom, their cynical teacher boasts to another teacher about how she doesn’t pay any attention to the students’ issues, except to demand that they complete their work.

After fending off taunts of “teacher’s pet” from other students, the class nerd says he recently happened upon a re-run of a cheesy old family sitcom, The Brady Bunch — and wonders why children are now left to “raise themselves.”

Secular-minded fellow students challenge the class Christian, Hannah, for her beliefs. She defends her faith, saying they’ve been raised in a society that denies the truth: “We’ve grown up in a junkyard.” Hannah points out how many fellow students are suffering depression before exclaiming, “They need God in their lives, and I can’t even talk about Him!”

One of the more moving scenes involves Maya, a young black female student. She talks of being preyed upon by young men who exploit her for the anything-goes jungle of the sexually “liberated” internet.

Potluck Teacher also touches on cancel culture (I won’t spoil the ending, but it’s a shocker that makes the movie). Michael Davis plays the role of Jones and is so compelling that you wish he were your mentor and taught every high school class. He’s just one of those rare finds in a teacher.

At one point, Jones explains to the students that the Bible verse “Judge not, lest ye be judged” doesn’t mean we’re not allowed to judge; otherwise, there would be no right or wrong, no laws to enforce. Instead, he explains that it means don’t judge people for things you are guilty of. He brings the students out of their closed-off selves, getting the quiet, withdrawn ones to engage in discussions, and even convinces a truant student in the parking lot to return to the classroom and participate.

He helps the students understand how each one is different, facing different struggles, and talks them through their criticisms of each other so they see each other in a different lens.

Potluck Teacher is the first film to share in brutal honesty how the collapse of faith, family and culture has devastated our youth and caused a surge in teen depression. The highly entertaining drama achieves this in a style reminiscent of The Breakfast Club, where a group of high school students candidly confront each other about their struggles. The film is distributed by one of the world’s top faith-based film distributors.

Potluck Teacher is the third and latest film from Andrew Thomas. His first effort was a documentary on canceled Christians that won awards and honors from Christian film festivals across the country. Three years ago, Thomas founded Summerbrook Studios and released his first feature film, Lake Lavon. It tells of a young couple who find faith as they find each other. Lake Lavon was the number one film on the Christian Channel and has been widely streamed around the world. Like Potluck Teacher, Lake Lavon centers on our youth, where the cultural battles of tomorrow are being fought today (Thomas and his wife have four children).

Now, with Potluck Teacher, Thomas has cemented his status as a rising star among conservative and faith-based filmmakers.

There’s a real need for original and engrossing entertainment geared towards conservatives and Christians, whom major filmmakers all but ignore. MAGA conservatives and Christians have long decried the lack of original dramas and movies that speak to them. This is mainly because the left dominates Hollywood and the arts, and has for decades.

While there has been a surge of faith-based films in recent years, few delve into the political aspects as well, often leaving only documentaries that younger generations are less likely to watch. Thomas’s works are helping to fill this gap. They rise above the trite and predictable fare that we see all too often in this genre, to the extent we see any films at all. He’s certainly doing his part to help make a conservative Hollywood a reality.

Potluck Teacher is streaming on Amazon Prime, YouTube, Tubi, and elsewhere. If you miss it, you’re missing something special. All high school and college students especially need to watch this powerful movie.

During their discussion, Christina commented on the Epstein files and President Trump’s handling of the scandal.

Christina Bobb: I know President Trump wants justice in this nation. I know that for a fact, I’ve talked about it. He wrote the foreword to my book, and that’s the whole point of the book. I was his legal representative on site during the raid, and I was involved in all of the Jack Smith investigations. I’ve had detailed discussions with him about all of that, and he believes in it enough to write a very strong foreword for this book. I know that’s his intention. I don’t have all the information on Epstein. There needs to be prosecutions. The American public needs to have faith that people who are committing crimes will be held accountable, that there are not two tiers of justice for the political class versus the rest of Americans. And that’s, I think, part of what people are so concerned about with the Epstein files. I think his attempt to get the grand jury transcript released is an effort to- That helps. Bridge that gap. I’m hoping that’s the first step, and then more comes out.

General Mike Flynn joined Eric Bolling on Real America’s Voice and dropped bomb after bomb! It is definitely going to be an exciting week!

Flynn, Trump’s former National Security Advisor, declared that “another drop” of declassified evidence is coming that will be “mind-blowing” — and it could rip open the doors of corruption at the highest levels of government, including the Vice Presidency of Mike Pence.

Flynn outlined a disturbing meeting that took place just days before he was forced to resign under false pretenses in February 2017.

According to Flynn, top Obama-era DOJ officials Sally Yates, Mary McCord, and disgraced former FBI deputy Andy McCabe met with Vice President Mike Pence in the White House Situation Room — and briefed him on a document Flynn insists was completely fabricated.

That very document, Flynn says, was used as a pretext to force his removal and lay the groundwork for invoking the 25th Amendment against President Trump — a backdoor coup plan now being confirmed through congressional investigations and new declassifications.

Flynn also believes former Vice President Mike Pence will need to come in and testify about his role in the operation to oust President Trump and sabotage the America First agenda.

Eric Bolling:
Was Mike Pence possibly involved in this?

Mike Flynn:
Yeah. And if you read—yeah. And I lay this out in my book as well. Mike Pence—was he a dupe? Was he unwitting? Mike Pence was used. No doubt, no doubt. Because there’s another piece of evidence that I’m waiting to see come out. And I’ve asked, and I’ve basically demanded that it comes out. And we know this is a really critical piece of evidence.

Sally Yates and Mary McCord, who was head of the National Security Division for the Department of Justice—Sally Yates was the acting Attorney General—went over to the White House like two or three days prior to me having to be resigned and me being fired on the 13th of February. I think it was the date.

So Mike Pence, Reince Priebus are in the Situation Room in the White House, and Mary McCord, Andy McCabe is the other name, and Sally Yates was the third name that came and briefed Mike Pence on a document. And Mike Pence—he had Reince Priebus call me up while they were all together. And he said, “I just reviewed this document. The document shows that you talked about sanctions”—something I never talked about, ever.

Mike Flynn:
I never talked to Mike Pence about them. I never talked about them with anybody. Never talked to the Russian ambassador about sanctions. Mike Pence told me that he just saw a document where I discussed sanctions. So that document is either—that’s either a lie, or Mike Pence was lying. Somebody, somewhere in between.

What I believe is that Mike Pence—I believe that part of their effort was to try to figure out a way, because later on, we now know from other cases that came out, as well as mine, that there was a 25th Amendment that was going to be put on the table further down the road. So this is an effort to get rid of Donald J. Trump.

Now, somebody’s going to have to ask Mike Pence. Now, I will tell you, Eric—not a big fan, never was. I would have served with him, no problem, and did. I was very honest with Mike Pence in the interactions that we had. So somebody’s going to have to ask Mike Pence, because I have not heard from Mike Pence.

Eric Bolling:
I hope—and again, this is going to be likely a criminal referral from the DNI to the Department of Justice, which means investigation. It is a criminal referral. It’s a criminal referral. These mean they have teeth. When Congress talks about stuff, it doesn’t really have a lot of teeth.

When there’s a criminal referral to [Department] of Justice, they open up an investigation. And I pray—I haven’t seen it—but I hope Mike Pence’s name is on the list of folks they’re going to talk to regarding all this.

Mike Flynn:
They’re going to have to question Mike Pence. They’re going to have to question him about that meeting that he’s talked to. And that meeting occurred on the 11th or 12th of February of 2017. I know that meeting occurred because he called me up.

Reince Priebus called me up on behalf of him and said, “I’m standing here with the Vice President. I’m standing here with Andy McCabe, Sally Yates,” and he mentioned one other. And I think—I believe it was Mary McCord. And they had just read a document that was—to me, it must have been a complete fabrication.

So somebody’s not telling the truth. Those are individuals that are going to have to be brought in for questioning and all this other stuff. And I’m telling you, Eric—and I think that maybe Chelsea said this yesterday, but I know that she’s going to do another dump maybe today—but there’s going to be another dump of declassified information this week that is just going to be mind-blowing.
