Independent journalist Mark Halperin recently offered a pretty good assessment of the cancellation of Colbert, PBS, and NPR.

He suggested that there are shows and even entire networks that Democrats have used as a ‘crutch’ for years because they were so reliably anti-Trump.

Sean Spicer, who was also part of the conversation, pointed out that this environment has forced people on the right to be more creative and find alternatives, which led to things like conservative talk radio.

Partial transcript via Real Clear Politics:

MARK HALPERIN: The left’s presumption that they can asymmetrically dominate the media.

Stephen Colbert turned his show into a nightly anti-Trump program. NPR and PBS, as Karoline Leavitt has well documented—they’re just attack machines for the Democrats.

And they have lost their ability to have these asymmetrical advantages. Huge loss for them and a huge loss to the Democratic Party, which relied on these advantages.

SEAN SPICER: Mark, you’re scratching at something that is so profound. Because I’ve argued for the longest time that Democrats have had a hold on all these mega institutions, right?

And you’re right—you’ve got Colbert, NPR, PBS starting to fall. But then it’s the alternative economy, where Republicans have learned: “OK, well, if you don’t want to get debanked by Bank of America—build your own bank. If you want a currency—go to crypto.”

This is what happened with the media—the rise of talk radio and then podcasts. But the left—their domination of academia, Hollywood, corporate America—is getting chipped away because they jumped the shark on so many things.

MARK HALPERIN: 100%. That’s why I make them the loser. It’s a paradigm shift, and they don’t recognize what a crutch that’s been for them.

Watch the video:

This is exactly why so many people on the left are freaking out about all of this. They know they’re losing some of their attack dogs.

Former MSNBC host TourĂ© caused an uproar on CNN this week when he said that Trump was ‘supposedly’ shot in the ear during a segment on the CNN News Night panel show.

He was immediately called out by Scott Jennings, the lone conservative voice on the network.

This moment is a reminder that there are people on the left who actually believe the assassination attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania last summer was staged. It’s utter insanity.

Mediaite has details:

A CNN panel exploded on Thursday after one guest claimed President Donald Trump “supposedly got shot,” leading to Scott Jennings demanding an immediate correction.

On CNN NewsNight, Abby Phillip had to wrangle control of her panel after podcaster TourĂ© exclaimed that Trump “supposedly” was shot in July 2024 in Butler, Pennsylvania. The comment came during a discussion about the president’s health

Elrod also brought up the point that Trump appeared to forget that he appointed Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.

“He supposedly got shot in the ear. We never heard from his doctors about that,” TourĂ© added, immediately setting off Jennings, a senior CNN correspondent, and conservative pundit Ben Ferguson.

“Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Did you say supposedly?” Jennings asked, then pointing to the podcaster next to him and saying, “Abby, Abby,” to the panel’s anchor.

See the video below:

The look on Jennings’ face throughout that segment says it all. Isn’t it funny how the left loves to accuse people on the right of being conspiracy theorists while embracing ideas like the one on display here? They think nothing is out of bounds as long as it’s about Trump. There are no limits on their craziness.

Kash Patel at Senate Confirmation Hearing for FBI Director – Senate Judiciary Committee

As many as 70 people have been indicted in Minnesota where a children’s nutrition program was accused of taking hundreds of millions in Covid funds under false pretenses.

Financial fraud involving Covid funds has been an ongoing issue, but it takes a special kind of criminal to steal this much money claiming it’s for children.

If guilty, these folks deserve to have the book thrown at them.

FOX News reports:

Patel touts FBI’s dozens of convictions in $250 million Minnesota COVID scam

A $250 million fraud scheme that exploited a federally funded children’s nutrition program during the COVID-19 pandemic has been described by FBI Director Kash Patel as “one of the worst” in Minnesota history.

The FBI director told Fox News in a statement that 70 people in Minnesota have been indicted for their role in the sprawling “Feeding our Future” fraud scheme during the COVID-19 pandemic, which exploited a federal program designed to reimburse states for the cost of feeding children.

Conspirators falsely claimed to have served millions of meals during the pandemic, but instead used the money for personal gain. Of the individuals indicted, 38 have pleaded guilty, FBI officials told Fox News Digital. More than a dozen of the individuals are awaiting criminal trial, with the next trial beginning in August.

“Stealing over $250 million from hungry kids during a pandemic to fund mansions and luxury cars is as shameless as it gets,” FBI Director Kash Patel said in a statement. “I’m proud of the FBI and our partners for dismantling this web of corruption, holding dozens accountable, and sending a clear message: if you exploit the most vulnerable, we will find you and bring you to justice.”

Congratulations to Patel and the FBI for uncovering this.

How much more of this type of corruption is out there?

Judge Dismisses Trump’s Lawsuit Against Far-Left Author Bob Woodward Over Release of Interview Recordings

Judge Dismisses Trump’s Lawsuit Against Far-Left Author Bob Woodward Over Release of Interview Recordings

Judge Dismisses Trump’s Lawsuit Against Far-Left Author Bob Woodward Over Release of Interview Recordings
July 18, 2025

A federal judge on Friday dismissed President Trump’s lawsuit against far-left author Bob Woodward over his audiobook.

In 2023, President Trump sued Bob Woodward for $49 million for releasing recordings of interviews he gave to him in 2019 and 2020.

Toxic RINO Lindsey Graham reportedly brokered the meeting with Trump and Bob Woodward.

Bob Woodward, a far-left author and Washington Post editor, released “The Trump Tapes” audiobook with more than 8 hours of his interviews with President Trump.

Woodward is a Deep State hack and has been an FBI asset since the 1970s.

Trump said he never agreed to the tapes being released to the public.

US District Judge Paul Gardephe, a George W. Bush appointee, dismissed the lawsuit.

“In a 59-page decision, Gardephe said Trump did not plausibly allege that he and Woodward intended to be joint authors of “The Trump Tapes,” saying Simon & Schuster credited Trump as a “reader” while crediting Woodward as the author,” Reuters reported.

“The judge, an appointee of Republican President George W. Bush, also said Trump did not show he had a copyright interest in his stand-alone responses to Woodward’s questions,” Reuters reported.

“Gardephe also said federal copyright law preempted Trump’s state law-based claims. He gave Trump until August 18 to amend his complaint a third time,” Reuters said.

Trump’s spox said in a statment: “In another biased action by a New York Court, this wrongful decision was issued without even affording President Trump the basic due process of a hearing. We will continue to ensure that those who commit wrongdoing against President Trump and all Americans are held accountable.”

Recall, CNN previously went ballistic because Trump supposedly gave Bob Woodward ‘classified information’ – of course Woodward was never able to verify the so-called classified information.

“I have built a weapons system that nobody has ever had in this country before,” Trump said. “We have stuff that you haven’t even seen or heard about.”

Trump continued, “We have stuff that Putin and Xi have never heard about before. Getting along with Russia is a good thing, it’s not a bad thing, alright? Especially because they have 1,332 nuclear fucking warheads.”

“It’s funny, the relationships I have, the tougher and meaner they are, the better I get along with them. You know? Explain that to me someday, okay. But maybe it’s not a bad thing.”

CNN melted down over Trump’s statement to Woodward then admitted the reporter was never able to verify the information.

“So just to clarify, Woodward was never able to verify whether this system exists,” CNN’s Jamie Gangel said.
