The ‘reporter’ behind the disgusting smear piece produced by one of America’s leading newspapers has a connection to one of the greatest scandals in American political history.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, The Wall Street Journal published a hit piece on President Trump on Thursday night involving Jeffrey Epstein.

The paper alleged Trump wrote Epstein a “bawdy” letter for his 50th birthday depicting a naked woman. Ghislaine Maxwell allegedly prepared a ‘special gift’ and collected letters from Trump and others.

“The letter bearing Trump’s name, which was reviewed by the Journal, is bawdy—like others in the album. It contains several lines of typewritten text framed by the outline of a naked woman, which appears to be hand-drawn with a heavy marker. A pair of small arcs denotes the woman’s breasts, and the future president’s signature is a squiggly “Donald” below her waist, mimicking pubic hair,” The Wall Street Journal reported.

Trump has denied the report and has vowed to sue The Wall Street Journal, News Corp., and Rupert Murdoch.

Now, Real Clear Politics National Political Correspondent Susan Crabtree has uncovered a damning connection between the reporter who wrote the hit piece, Joe Palazzolo, and Fusion GPS, which Crooked Hillary Clinton and the DNC funded.

Palazzolo previously worked as a reporter for Main Justice, Glenn Simpson’s wife’s publication. As we all know, Glenn Simpson founded Fusion GPS, which produced the Steele Dossier.

The Dossier was then used to falsely smear Trump as a Russian asset. All because leftists needed to invent an excuse why Trump shockingly won the 2016 election.

Both Glenn Simpson and his wife, Mary Jacoby, worked for the Wall Street Journal before launching their own enterprises.

What are the odds that this is just a mere coincidence?

The most likely answer is that this Epstein garbage piece produced by the Journal was coordinated by outside actors who sensed Trump was in a vulnerable spot, and thought they could deliver the kill shot, metaphorically speaking.

On Thursday, the Justice Department announced charges against Yuriana Julia Pelaez Calderon, 41, a Mexican illegal living in Los Angeles, for faking an ICE “kidnapping” to garner sympathy and solicit donations.

In June, Calderon’s family and friends, alongside anti-ICE activists, held a rally for the “mom of three,” claiming she had been “abducted” by bounty hunters, and then ‘pressured’ to sign the voluntary self-deportation paperwork.

Following the family’s press conference,  a fundraising page was set up to “help” Calderon.

LA Mayor Karen Bass jumped in on the fear-mongering calling Calderon “a mother from L.A.”

She’s a mother from L.A. — taken out of her car on her way to work, and then held in a warehouse as officers hoped she would “self-deport.”

Now, Calderon has been charged with conspiracy and making false statements to federal officers and is in U.S. immigration custody.

United States Attorney Bill Essayli stated, “Dangerous rhetoric that ICE agents are ‘kidnapping’ illegal immigrants is being recklessly peddled by politicians and echoed in the media to inflame the public and discredit our courageous federal agents.”

“The conduct alleged in today’s complaint shows this hoax ‘kidnapping’ was a well-orchestrated conspiracy. The defendant and all those involved will face the full consequences of their conduct under federal law. I thank our partners at Homeland Security Investigations and all federal agents facing unprecedented levels of assaults for once again providing cool heads and professionalism during these difficult times.”

Per the DOJ:

The press conference garnered media attention and stoked fear in the community. Meanwhile, Calderon’s daughter set up a GoFundMe page, requesting $4,500 and stating that Calderon “was taken by masked men in an unmarked vehicle…when she was on her way to work.” According to the complaint, this entire story was fabricated.

Video surveillance – including video of Calderon leaving the Jack in the Box parking lot and getting into a nearby sedan – as well as telephone records demonstrate Calderon fabricated the entire story. Calderon and her family knew that law enforcement was searching for her and feared for her safety, but Calderon and her family did not come forward. Instead, Calderon created what law enforcement believe to be fabricated photos of her “rescue,” made to look as if she was abused while in ICE custody and planned to hold a press conference on July 6 to increase donations to the GoFundMe page and to obtain other benefits.

HSI Los Angeles Special Agent in Charge Eddy Wang noted, “Diverting critical law enforcement resources is not only reckless and irresponsible, but it also endangers the community. Since early July, my office invested valuable time and resources working this alleged kidnapping investigation only to discover that it was a hoax.”

“The real cost of a fraud like this is the amount of fentanyl not seized, child predators not removed from the communities, and human trafficking victims not rescued because law enforcement re-directed resources to recover the defendant. We want to assure the public that allegations of criminal activity will be thoroughly investigated by HSI and our law enforcement partners and that those who engage in fraud and deception will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released a statement following the DOJ’s announcement:

Earlier this month, legacy media ran with a false story that ICE agents and bounty hunters “kidnapped” Calderon at gunpoint and held her hostage in a warehouse. After her family held a press conference orchestrated by their attorney, ICE spent days investigating the kidnapping claims and searching for her — at times, literally detention cell to detention cell.

“Yuriana Julia Pelaez Calderon was never arrested or kidnapped by ICE or bounty hunters—this criminal illegal alien scammed innocent Americans for money and diverted limited DHS resources from removing the worst of the worst from Los Angeles communities. Politicians and activist media peddled these smears that were designed to demonize law enforcement and evade accountability. Calderon will now face justice and the media and politicians who swallowed and pushed this garbage should be embarrassed.”

If convicted on all charges, Calderon would face a statutory maximum sentence of five years in federal prison for conspiracy and up to five years in federal prison on the false statements charge.

President Trump roasted one of his liberal tormentors, Stephen Colbert, after the failing comedian lost his precious late-night show and predicted that the woes were only beginning for liberal comedians on late-night.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, CBS canceled The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday for financial reasons, especially given the low ratings.

The show will end after the next season in May 2026.

Earlier this year, self-important loser Colbert said Trump would pull him off the air.

“Yeah, it’s been a good run. It’s been a good run, Joe. Thank you. Thank you for all your efforts. The next time you all see me, Donald Trump will be president. And you may not see me,” the Trump-hating host told his fans.

On Friday morning, Trump celebrated the news while mocking Colbert’s low ratings.

“I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings,” Trump wrote.

Trump went on to predict who would be the next late-night show host to lose their job and then hailed the ONLY one with a sense of humor: Greg Gutfeld.

“I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert!” he added. “Greg Gutfeld is better than all of them combined, including the Moron on NBC who ruined the once great Tonight Show.”

Not a single person would miss the two Jimmies (Kimmel and Fallon) because they are not only liberal lunatics but also boring. Perhaps NBC or CBS should bring back Jay Leno or give Gutfeld one of the hosting spots.

MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough, in a moment of honest journalism, pressed Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland on his party’s sudden push to release the Jeffrey Epstein files, when his coalition had the power to do so as recently as January.

Raskin, who sits on the House Judiciary Committee, and his Democrat colleagues want members of President Donald Trump’s Justice Department to testify about the matter, Politico reported Tuesday.

Further, Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna of California offered an amendment to GOP-backed legislation that received a vote on Monday night which would have required the Justice Department to release the files within 30 days. The amendment was voted down.

Scarborough asked Raskin on Thursday morning, “But, congressman, you could’ve gotten that from [2021] to [2025] when Democrats controlled the DOJ. It was a crisis then. It’s a crisis now. Why didn’t Democrats call for it from ’21 to ’25?”

When asked why Democrats didn’t show any interest in Epstein when they controlled the DOJ from 2021-2025 Jamie Raskin gets exposed as a complete fraud.

Raskin hemmed and hawed a bit and then responded, “You have to go back and look specifically at particular prosecutorial decisions and what was taking place in terms of the other cases.”

“So, I don’t know,” he then admitted. “We could try to reconstruct that record, but the point is that Donald Trump is the one who has led the crusade to say that Epstein, who was his very close friend, and there’s all kinds of pictures of them and so on, that Epstein was at the center of this broad conspiracy.”

Raskin continued, “He’s now in a position to do exactly what he demanded which is to release all of the files. And so, why is that not happening? That’s the question. I can’t answer for Merrick Garland or anybody else in the Department of Justice.”

So basically, he engaged in a bunch of blame-shifting, pointing to Trump and Garland for failing to get it done.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed the controversy on Thursday when asked which part of the Epstein files the president was referring to when he said it was a “hoax.”

“The president is referring to the fact that Democrats have now seized on this, as if they ever wanted transparency when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein,” Leavitt said.

“The Democrats had control of this building, the White House, for four years, and they didn’t do a dang thing when it came to transparency in regards to Jeffrey Epstein and his heinous crimes,” she continued.

Leavitt said that Trump had directed the review of the files in the first place, which was conducted by Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino.

She recounted that they put their findings in a memo, which claimed in part that there is no Epstein client list.

In a since-deleted tweet, billionaire Elon Musk alleged in June after he came out strongly against the “Big Beautiful Bill” that Trump was in the Epstein files.

However, CNBC reported in 2020 that Trump revoked Epstein’s Mar-a-Lago membership in the 2000s after he harassed a member’s 14-year-old daughter. Trump then ended his friendship with him.

Epstein’s banishment from Mar-a-Lago came months before he pleaded guilty in 2008 to Florida state charges of soliciting prostitution and soliciting prostitution of a minor.

Further, Epstein’s former attorney, David Schoen, responded to Musk’s allegation against Trump by saying, “I was hired to lead Jeffrey Epstein’s defense as his criminal lawyer 9 days before he died. He sought my advice for months before that.”

Others, including Tucker Carlson, have pointed out that if there were evidence that Trump was in the Epstein files, surely the Biden Justice Department would have used it to undermine the Republican candidate’s chances of returning to the White House.

Trump himself asked in a Truth Social post last week, “Why didn’t these Radical Left Lunatics release the Epstein Files? If there was ANYTHING in there that could have hurt the MAGA Movement, why didn’t they use it?”

Scarborough is to be commended for putting the key question to Raskin: Why the sudden interest in the Epstein files’ release?

It’s clearly all political.
