While most headlines about Donald Trump focus on immigration, foreign policy, or tax cuts, it’s his education agenda that may have the most lasting impact. At a time when public schools in cities like New York, Baltimore, and Chicago are failing countless students, Trump’s push for school choice could offer a way out to families desperate for better options and a brighter future.

For students, Trump’s school choice agenda provides a crucial escape from a public education system that is failing them.

New York’s education system is in crisis. Across the state, academic achievement is plummeting while political distractions dominate the conversation. In New York City alone, over 41% of students are chronically absent, meaning they miss more than 10% of school days per year. Statewide, nearly 50% of students fail to meet basic proficiency in reading, and math scores are even worse. Despite these staggering numbers, officials remain more focused on social engineering than fixing broken classrooms.

The conditions in many schools are unacceptable. Overcrowded classrooms, crumbling buildings, and a lack of basic academic support services are the norm—not the exception. In some districts, students attend schools with no full-time guidance counselors or updated textbooks, yet political leaders continue to tout cosmetic diversity programs as if they will solve a literacy crisis.

Although nearly 80% of New York City public schools report student poverty rates above 60%, officials remain focused on identity politics.

At the same time, teacher burnout is worsening, especially in the most underserved areas. Educators are expected to act as social workers, disciplinarians, and political messengers, all while standardized test scores and graduation rates continue to decline.

The K-12 education crisis is not unique to New York. In Baltimore, the school system remains one of the lowest-performing in the country, despite massive funding increases. Chronic absenteeism and grade inflation have masked widespread illiteracy. At least 23 schools in Baltimore City reported zero students scoring proficient in math in recent years. Traditional public schools have become overregulated and inflexible, making meaningful innovation impossible.

Charter schools, by contrast, have shown remarkable success. A University of Arkansas study found that charter schools in seven major cities—including New York and Washington, D.C.—were 43% more cost-effective than district-run schools. The same study showed that every dollar spent on a charter school student returned $6.25 in lifetime earnings, compared to just $3.94 for students in traditional schools. Another study by the Urban Institute concluded that charter school students in Washington, D.C. scored significantly higher in both math and reading than their peers in district schools.

The success of charter schools stems from their autonomy. Unlike district-run schools, charters can design their own curricula, hire independently, and quickly respond when students begin falling behind. This flexibility allows them to focus on outcomes rather than compliance.

Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” seeks to empower families, not bureaucrats. The bill includes a federal version of the Educational Choice for Children Act, which now provides up to $5 billion annually in tax credits to donors who fund private scholarships for K–12 students. These scholarships would be distributed through nonprofit organizations to families earning up to 300% of the area median income—a structure designed to help low- and middle-income students access better educational options.

This bill reflects Trump’s longstanding commitment to school choice and builds on prior initiatives. Under the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, Trump signed into law a provision allowing 529 education savings accounts to be used for K–12 tuition—not just college.

Trump also increased funding for charter schools by boosting the Charter Schools Program (CSP) budget by $60 million for Fiscal Year 2025. This raise brought the total CSP funding to $500 million, marking the largest federal investment ever made in charter school initiatives.

President Trump understands what is at stake. His education agenda is rooted in empowering families, elevating students, and removing the government monopoly that has failed generation after generation.

Newsom Sues Trump Admin For Canceling Funding For California’s Failed $130 Billion High Speed Train to Nowhere

Newsom Sues Trump Admin For Canceling Funding For California’s Failed $130 Billion High Speed Train to Nowhere
July 18, 2025

On Thursday, California Governor Gavin Newsom filed a lawsuit against the Trump Administration for canceling funding for California’s failed high speed train.

President Trump on Wednesday went off on California Governor Gavin “Newscum” and announced he is officially canceled funding for the state’s “failed” high speed railroad to nowhere.

“To the Law abiding, Tax paying, Hardworking Citizens of the United States of America, I am thrilled to announce that I have officially freed you from funding California’s disastrously overpriced, “HIGH SPEED TRAIN TO NOWHERE.” This boondoggle, led by the incompetent Governor of California, Gavin Newscum, has cost Taxpayers Hundreds of Billions of Dollars, and we have received NOTHING in return except Cost Overruns. The Railroad we were promised still does not exist, and never will. This project was Severely Overpriced, Overregulated, and NEVER DELIVERED. Thanks to Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, not a SINGLE penny in Federal Dollars will go towards this Newscum SCAM ever again. This was an ill-conceived and unnecessary project, and a total waste of Taxpayer money — But no more!” Trump said on Truth Social.

Newsom promptly filed a lawsuit against the Trump Administration for pulling the federal funding for the train.

“This is just a heartless attack on the Central Valley that will put real jobs and livelihoods on the line. We’re suing to stop Trump from derailing America’s only high-speed rail actively under construction,” Newsom’s office said.

“Today’s action comes as the project enters the track laying phase, is actively building across 171 miles, has built more than 50 major railway structures – including bridges, overpasses, and viaducts – and completed over 60 miles of guideway,” Newsom’s office said.

“And in the last year, CA high-speed rail efforts have marked significant progress – with all environmental reviews spanning 463 miles from Los Angeles to the Bay Area complete, the electrification of Caltrain complete, trainset selection underway, station and track construction on deck, continued work with partner rail systems to create a southwest regional high-speed rail network, and more than 15,000 good paying jobs created,” Newsom said.

Originally greenlit by the voters with the promise of linking Los Angeles to San Francisco in a modern, efficient bullet train system for a mere $33 billion with a completion date set for four years ago, the project has ballooned to an eyewatering $128 to $130 billion, with no clear completion date in sight, according to abc30.

The current CEO, who came on board last summer, recently claimed that the high speed train might be finished in twenty years. That would be the year 2045.

J6 Survivor vs. Corporate Media: Slandered Patriot Needs YOUR Help to Sue Lying Media Before Time Runs Out

By Patriot Legal Defense

In a nation where truth is too often a casualty of narrative, one man stands defiant.

James Grant, a pardoned January 6 defendant, endured nearly four years behind bars for little more than shaking a bike rack and walking the Capitol grounds.

Now, as he fights to reclaim his future, Grant is a man on a mission. He’s suing the Goliath: the mainstream media.

After surviving what he calls “three years of my youth stolen” in federal custody, he’s been battling for months to clear his name, slandered by a corporate press he accuses of acting as an arm of the Democrat Party.

“The media just lies,” Grant, laced with frustration, told The Gateway Pundit in an exclusive interview, “They say I was found guilty of charges I was acquitted of, and now I’ve gotten like, six rejection letters from law schools. I know that they’re using this against me, and these media lies are going to prevent me from getting into law school.”

Grant’s ordeal began on January 6, 2021, when he joined thousands protesting at the U.S. Capitol.

His actions—pushing a bike rack and walking the grounds—were hardly the stuff of “insurrection.”

Yet, he faced a staggering 101 years in prison, charged with crimes like assaulting a Capitol Police officer, despite being acquitted of any injury-related charges.

“I went to trial, risked everything, and won, rightfully so,” he says. “And these media companies just lie anyway, and they’re refusing to take it down.”

The mainstream media, Grant argues, has operated as state-run propaganda, particularly under what he calls the “unprecedentedly corrupt Biden administration.”

Outlets like CBS, the Charlotte Observer, and the Tampa Bay Herald published articles falsely claiming he was convicted of assaulting an officer, ignoring his acquittal on five of nine charges.

One CBS article, published seven months after his not-guilty verdict, claimed he “was found guilty of assaulting an officer with a deadly or dangerous weapon and inflicting bodily injury,” a charge U.S. District Judge Jia Cobb explicitly rejected following a bench trial.

“They published something false and provably false,” Grant says. “They’ve lied. And the damage and what’s at stake and what they’re responsible for my law school future.”

The impact has been devastating. Before January 6, Grant was a rising star, armed with a 166 LSAT score and a $99,000 scholarship to a top 25 ranked law school.

Now, he’s been rejected by schools ranked as low as 120.

“I scored 90th percentile on the LSAT,” he says. “These schools should be throwing money at me and accepting me. They’re saying no because of these media lies out there, there’s so much slander.”

The rejections, costing him over $3,000 in application fees, have left him shell-shocked and depressed.

“I’m just shell shocked after three years,” he admits. “I really have anxiety now. I’m really depressed lately because I feel so helpless I can’t do anything about this media slander.”

Grant’s fight isn’t just personal—it’s a potential turning point for over 1,500 January 6 defendants whose reputations have been railroaded by “lying media.”

He’s suing CBS 42 in Alabama, CBS 17 in North Carolina, the Charlotte Observer, and the Tampa Bay Herald, alleging defamation for their false reports.

A particularly egregious example is a Charlotte Observer photo caption claiming “James Grant battles with police at the start of the Capitol riot,” when he was actually pulling a protester off an officer and got sucker-punched for it.

“I was attempting to pull the guy off the police officer, and I was totally sucker-punched for it, knocked unconscious,” he says. “They lied about that, and then they all say I was found guilty of this charge I was acquitted of.”

His legal battle has been fraught with setbacks.

Grant raised $10,000 to hire a lawyer, only to be betrayed.

“He was absolutely worthless,” Grant says. “He sent out five letters to the media companies, but I wrote the letters. He didn’t do anything.”

Now, with the statute of limitations looming in late September, Grant is preparing to represent himself pro se, needing just a few thousand dollars to cover court costs.

“It’s about $150 to file each motion,” he explains. “I’m not going to pay a lawyer thousands and thousands of dollars. I’m going to do it myself. They’re going to have to pay their lawyers tens of thousands every time to show up, whereas I’m going to be doing it for $150 a pop.”

If Grant wins, the impact could be seismic.

SUPPORT JAMES GRANT’S LEGAL FUND HERE

“I could help other J6ers,” he says. “Any settlements that anyone gets, that’s good for everyone, because it starts the ball rolling. This could do that for defamation cases.”

A victory could set a precedent, forcing media outlets to think twice before smearing conservatives. But time is running out.

“I’ve got to get these motions in,” he urges. “These schools are making their decisions right now.”

Grant’s struggle to rebuild is a stark reminder of the broader persecution faced by January 6 defendants.

Branded “white supremacists” and “insurrectionists” by the Biden regime, many are now untouchable, their lives upended by a narrative-driven press.

Grant himself is scraping by, selling clothes and books on eBay to survive.

“It’s really hard to get a job because these charges still show up,” he says. “Employers see ‘parading and picketing on Capitol grounds,’ they see ‘January 6,’ and they think I’m a domestic terrorist and believe the media’s lies. They’ve made us almost untouchable.”

Yet, Grant’s resolve is unbreakable.

As a lawyer, I want to go against the government, and I want to give people the best defense they’ve ever gotten,” he says. “I know what it feels like to be in there and you can’t contact your lawyer, and you’re scared. I know I’m built for this. I really think this is the skill God gave me.”

Grant’s story exposes the rot at the core of a media that serves as the Democrat Party’s mouthpiece, peddling lies to crush dissent.

Over 1,500 Americans have been vilified for standing up on January 6, their lives shattered by a press that thrives on distortion.

But Grant’s courage could spark a reckoning. If he wins, the dominoes will begin to fall, and the slandered will rise. Stop what you’re doing right now and donate to his legal defense: HELP JAMES GRANT SUE THE MEDIA HERE

Your support isn’t just for James—it’s for every American who refuses to bow to a corrupt system.

Let’s make the media pay, clear his name, and restore his dream.

Eight Healthy Babies Born via IVF using DNA from Three People

Eight Healthy Babies Born via IVF using DNA from Three People
July 18, 2025

In the United Kingdom, medical professionals have successfully delivered eight babies using a pioneering fertility procedure that incorporates DNA from three individuals.

This method aims to safeguard children from inheriting severe mitochondrial disorders. The births represent a cautious advancement in assisted reproduction, prioritizing family health and stability.

The mothers involved carried mutations in their mitochondria, risking life-threatening conditions for their offspring. Mitochondria serve as cellular energy sources, essential for bodily functions. Without intervention, these defects could devastate future generations.

The United Kingdom amended its laws in 2015 to permit this technique, reflecting deliberate ethical review. In 2017, regulators issued the initial license to Newcastle University’s fertility clinic. This institution led the development over two decades.

Among the newborns are four boys and four boys, including identical twins, from seven women. All show no evidence of the anticipated mitochondrial ailments. One additional pregnancy continues under medical care.

Professor Doug Turnbull, a key researcher, described the results as reassuring for families and scientists alike. He highlighted the relief in achieving positive outcomes for patients.

Professor Mary Herbert, a senior team member, expressed fulfillment in seeing eight healthy infants. She noted the achievement rewards the extensive collaborative work.

Human genes primarily reside in the cell’s nucleus, totaling around 20,000. However, mitochondria add 37 genes of their own. Faulty mutations here can lead to profound cellular energy deficits.

Mitochondria pass solely from mother to child, amplifying inheritance risks. All offspring of affected women may suffer similarly.

Mitochondrial disorders often surface in childhood, impairing vital organs like the brain and heart. Patients frequently endure developmental challenges and premature mortality. Approximately one in 5,000 infants faces this threat.

The treatment, termed mitochondrial donation, fertilizes the mother’s egg with the father’s sperm. Genetic nuclear material transfers to a donor egg with healthy mitochondria. Implantation follows, fostering a disease-free pregnancy.

Papers in the New England Journal of Medicine detail these first cases. All babies were robust at birth. Minor issues, like a treated urinary infection, resolved without lasting effects.

One mother shared her profound thanks, emphasizing the hope restored. She credited the procedure for her daughter’s healthy beginning.

For women with variable mutations, pre-implantation testing selects low-risk eggs. However, those with uniform defects lack this option. Mitochondrial donation aims to bridge this critical gap.

In an era of rapid innovation, these births inspire hope for protecting the unborn from inherited perils. However, skeptics warn of unforeseen long-term consequences, including the phenomenon of mitochondrial reversal observed in three of the children. This reversal, where mutant mitochondria levels rise post-procedure, could potentially undermine the therapy’s effectiveness over time.

Critics also highlight ethical concerns, viewing the creation of three-parent embryos as a form of eugenics that tampers with natural human reproduction. Broader debates question whether this opens doors to genetic enhancements beyond disease prevention.

BRUTAL: Joy Reid MELTS DOWN After Piers Morgan TORCHES Her for Playing the Race Card Over MSNBC Firing
July 18, 2025

Piers Morgan tore into the disgraced former MSNBC host during a fiery segment on Piers Morgan Uncensored, exposing the hollow race-baiting excuse Reid offered for her firing from the far-left cable network.

The exchange quickly spiraled after Morgan rolled tape of Reid emotionally melting down over her ouster — a clip that showed her crying and suggesting she was fired because she’s black.

It can be recalled that Reid posted a video of herself crying while addressing the show’s cancellation.

“My show had value…And that,” Reid began before starting to cry. “I’m sorry…What I was doing had value.”

She then started bragging about how many far-left issues her show addressed while continuing to struggle with her emotions.

“What I will just say is that in the end,” she continued while an assistant handed her a tissue. “Is where I land is that the moment of guilt that I felt that I went hard on so many issues, whether it was the Black Lives Matter images of a young baby or a mom or dad that was killed.”

She continued to pat herself on the back for supposedly standing up for Asian Americans facing discrimination, defending illegal aliens, and bashing President Trump before turning her attention to the racist 1619 project, which she called “the real founding of this country.”

Reid then turned her attention to the Israel-Hama war, where she expressed sympathy for the Jewish State’s oppressors.

“The American people have a right to object to little babies being bombed,” she stated. “I’m not sorry that I stood up for those things because those things are of God, and I’m a church girl.”

“So, I’m not sorry. I’m just proud of my show.”

Morgan didn’t hold back during the interview.

"Let's be honest. I don't think you were fired after all those years because of your skin color or because you're a Black woman. I think you were fired because your show just got increasingly unpopular. It happens all the time in TV — that's why you got let go. Why play the race card?" Morgan asked.

BOOM. Cue the meltdown.

Joy Reid lashed out, stating, "First of all, I love the fact that your play the race card is your version of the race card. You literally are so fixated on trying to racialize conversations with me, Piers. I find it actually quite charming."

The two begin shouting at each other in a heated exchange.
