A New York Congressman was left stuttering when United States Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy delivered a fierce comeback during a fiery debate on crime in America’s most famous city.

On Wednesday, Duffy testified before the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on President Donald Trump’s 2026 budget request for his department. This followed President Trump appointing Duffy as interim NASA administrator in addition to his job as Transportation secretary, after the president withdrew his first nominee to head the space agency.

Things quickly heated up when Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) decided to assassinate Duffy’s character after the congressman proved unable to handle the truth about New York City’s crime rate.

Nadler, for several minutes, decided to call Duffy a liar, particularly when it came to the assaults on NYC’s subway systems. He continuously cited questionable statistics to make it seem riders had nothing to fear while smearing Duffy after being corrected.

“Secretary Duffy, as recently as last week, you again attacked the MTA (New York City’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority), claiming that there’s a surge in subway assaults, and accusing the agency of withholding information,” Nadler stated at one point. “But many of your statements misrepresent the facts and ignore documentation already provided to your department.”

“First, are you aware that major crime in the transit system, including assaults, is down 3% since last year and down 8% since 2019?” he inquired.

“Well, no, that’s wrong. The assaults that we’ve seen are up 60% with MTA in the systems since 2019,” Duffy replied.

“Why do you continue to ignore this and lie about this in your public comments?” Nadler demanded.

Duffy finally had had enough of Nadler’s garbage and surprised him with a big truth bomb.

“Why do you continue to lie about people being lit on fire in subways or pushed in front of trains?” Duffy roared back. “You should be fighting to make sure your subways are safe.”

The congressman had no good answer to this truth bomb and immediately ended the fight.

“Our subways…Our subways are safe,” Nadler stammered. “Reclaiming my time.”

The Gateway Pundit has extensively reported on the subway crime in New York City. Just in the past two years, several innocent victims have been shot, assaulted, and even burned alive.

No amount of lies can cover up what people across America see happening in the Big Apple. Kudos to Duffy for coming prepared to put Nadler in his place when he tried to gaslight the country.

John Solomon of Just the News told Steve Bannon on Wednesday that President Trump is “on board” with a special prosecutor looking at the Epstein files after Attorney General Pam Bondi’s dumpster fire of an investigation. 

This would be a great reversal from his current stance that the Epstein files is a hoax perpetrated by Democrats and that Republicans are “stupid and foolish” for talking about Epstein.

President Trump slammed Republicans in a press conference earlier, saying they’re “doing the Democrats’ work” by talking about Epstein.

“They’re stupid people,” he said.

As The Gateway Pundit reported on Monday, the FBI, under the direction of Director Kash Patel, is opening an investigation into a decade of Democrat Party antics and misconduct.

John Solomon says he spoke to the President about the possibility of a special prosecutor and that the President volunteered the idea of having somebody look at the Epstein files. Hopefuly, he actually does assign somebody to get to the bottom of this.

Bannon: So, he's on board with the situation of getting a special prosecutor and having the Epstein situation put into that so that can be formally looked at and really in a criminal context?

Solomon: He immediately volunteers it, and then I follow up on it, but he immediately brings up Epstein, like 'just throw that into it, let's get it all answered. I got nothing to hide. I want truth and I want prosecutions and I just want the justice system to take care of what needs to be taken care of.' It was really a remarkable moment."

Former Marine Corps reservist Benjamin Song, an alleged shooter in the armed ambush by Antifa terrorists of the ICE Prairieland detention facility in Alvarado, Texas on July 4, was arrested Tuesday by FBI agents in Dallas.

An Alvarado police officer was wounded by a gunshot in the neck during the July 4 nighttime attack after a black clad Antifa terror cell provoked a police response by launching fireworks near the facility. Vehicles were also spray-painted with graffiti.

Ten suspects were arrested fleeing the scene of the attack, with Song escaping. One person was later arrested for attempting to conceal evidence and two people were arrested for helping Song evade arrest, bringing the number of those arrested to fourteen.

Pending federal charges, Song is being held on $5 million bail in the Johnson County Jail on charges of engaging in organized criminal activity, aggravated assault on a public servant and aiding in the commission of terrorism.

FBI Director Kash Patel announced the arrest of Song, “CAPTURED: Benjamin Hanil Song, a subject wanted by the FBI for attempted murder of law enforcement officers at the Prairieland Detention Center in Texas on July 4th. Song and multiple other subjects allegedly shot fireworks toward the detention center to lure officers out of the facility, and then targeted the officers in a shooting. Song was arrested this afternoon and is the 14th arrest in the case. Attack cops, and this FBI will stop at nothing to find you.”

According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO), Benjamin Hanil Song, 32, was arrested at a Far North Dallas apartment complex in a coordinated effort with the FBI, DPS and SWAT teams.

Sources say officials made the arrest at the Meadowcrest Apartments late Tuesday afternoon. Records show Song was booked into the Johnson County Jail later that day.

Statement by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas:

An intense, weeklong manhunt for Benjamin Hanil Song—an alleged shooter at the Prairieland Detention Center on July 4th—has ended with his arrest by FBI agents in Dallas, Texas, announced Acting United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Nancy E. Larson.

Song’s capture marks the fourteenth arrest in the case. Court documents reflect that Song, a former United States Marine Corps reservist, joined ten others in an organized attack against officers at the Prairieland Detention Center just after 10:30 p.m., Friday, July 4. Song has been charged by federal complaint with three counts of attempted murder of federal agents and three counts of discharging a firearm in relation to a crime of violence.

Ten others charged with these offenses in a July 7th complaint include Cameron Arnold, Savanna Batten, Nathan Baumann, Zachary Evetts, Joy Gibson, Bradford Morris, Maricela Rueda, Seth Sikes, Elizabeth Soto, and Ines Soto. Also on July 7, Daniel Rolando Sanchez Estrada was charged with obstruction of justice for concealing evidence related to the ambush after talking with Rueda, who was in custody at the time. Two others, John Thomas and Lynette Sharp, were charged on July 14 with accessory after the fact when law enforcement agents determined that they helped Song abscond from the Prairieland area and evade arrest.

The complaints allege that group was dressed in black military style clothing. The group began shooting fireworks towards the detention center, and some sprayed graffiti on vehicles and a guard structure in the parking lot at the facility. These destructive acts were designed to lure correctional officers outside the facility. After correctional officers called 911 to report suspicious activity, an Alvarado police officer responded to the scene. Upon exiting his vehicle, the officer was shot in the neck by a defendant positioned in nearby woods. Another alleged assailant across the street fired 20 to 30 rounds at unarmed correctional officers who had stepped outside the facility.

As alleged in the complaints, Song purchased four of the guns associated with the ambush. Additionally, defendants communicated using Signal Chat groups to plan the attack and share reconnaissance, including an image of the Prairieland Detention Center that identified the locations of six local police departments.

Ten assailants charged in the July 7th complaint fled from the detention center but were apprehended by additional responding law enforcement officers. Song, however, was not located by law enforcement officers that night. As alleged, the location data associated with Song’s cellular telephone indicates that his phone was located within several hundred meters of the Prairieland Detention Center from late in the evening of July 4, 2025, until after dark on July 5, the day after the shooting.

“After the immediate apprehension of Song’s coconspirators at the scene, the FBI and our federal prosecutors—together with our other law enforcement partners—worked tirelessly around the clock pursuing Song. Their tremendous efforts culminated in the arrest of this alleged violent criminal today,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Nancy E. Larson. “Though Song escaped by hiding overnight after the attack, we were confident he would not remain hidden for long. The fourteen individuals who planned and participated in these heinous acts will be prosecuted, and we expect justice will be swift.”

“The FBI has worked tirelessly to arrest everyone associated with the shooting at the Prairieland Detention Center. We would like to thank all the entities that publicized this case and assisted in our efforts to successfully locate Benjamin Song,” said FBI Dallas Special Agent in Charge R. Joseph Rothrock. “His arrest is the result of our determination to protect not only the community, but also our law enforcement partners that were the targets of a coordinated attack. We have said it before, the FBI will not tolerate acts of violence toward law enforcement and will thoroughly investigate anyone that commits these types of offenses.”

A criminal complaint is merely an allegation of criminal conduct, not evidence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. If convicted, most of the charged defendants face a minimum penalty of ten years in federal prison and a maximum penalty of life imprisonment. Those defendants charged with obstruction of justice and accessory after the fact face a maximum of ten years and fifteen years in federal prison, respectively.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI—Dallas, Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Office (ICE ERO), ATF, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Alvarado Police Department, and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

The Alvarado, Texas attack is one of three recent incidents where guns have been fired at ICE agents. A gunman was killed after he opened fire on officers at a Border Patrol facility in McAllen, Texas on July 7. No one else was hit in the attack. In Ventura County, California a gunman opened fire on ICE agents during a violent attack by protesters during a large scale immigration raid at a marijuana farm on July 10. No one was reported hit in that attack.

The FBI had announced a $25,000 reward for Song. The FBI has a $50,000 reward for the as yet unknown gunman in the California attack.

President Trump on Wednesday responded to reporters’ questions about the Epstein files, and he again defended Attorney General Pam Bondi and said that “certain Republicans got duped” by the Democrats’ hoax. 

Trump was asked if he would ask Bondi to release more documents, and he said, “whatever’s credible, she can release,” slamming some Republicans for getting “duped” by Democrats and comparing the situation to Russiagate. The President later said, “She says I gave you all the credible information.”

“If she finds any more credible information, she’ll give that too.”

“I was surprised, but they got duped,” he said of Republicans who aren’t satisfied with Bondi’s nothingburger of a release and claims that Epstein killed himself.

This, of course, comes after Attorney General Bondi and FBI Director Patel, in February, hosted a big Epstein file release for a select group of MAGA influencers, handing them white binders that turned out to have nothing new inside. Bondi later claimed that she was misled by FBI agents and that “thousands of pages of documents” were withheld from her office after the dumpster fire of a release.

Who really duped Republicans? The Democrats or Pam Bondi?

Trump was also asked about past claims made by FBI Director Kash Patel, who has frequently spoken about Epstein’s black book and how the FBI and intel agencies are hiding facts from the American people. “I can’t speak about him, but I can say that Pam Bondi, I really think that she’s done very good,” Trump said before launching into a tirade about his successes during his first six months in office, including the One Big Beautiful Bill, and attacking Biden.

And no different than Russia, Russia, Russia and all the other hoaxes. They’re started by the Democrats and some Republicans. In this case, I was surprised, but they got duped.

In a controversial ruling on July 10, an appeals court overturned the libel convictions of two women who spread claims that French First Lady Brigitte Macron was formerly a man.

Brigitte Macron, undeterred by the setback, announced on Monday, July 14, that she will escalate the case to France’s highest appeals court, the Court of Cassation, according to her lawyer.

The saga revolves around longstanding social media rumor questioning the 72-year-old first lady’s gender, frequently linked to criticisms of her 24-year age difference with President Emmanuel Macron.

In December 2021, Brigitte Macron initiated libel proceedings against Amandine Roy, a self-proclaimed spiritual medium, and Natacha Rey, who styles herself as an independent journalist.

The duo’s four-hour YouTube video alleged a grand “state lie” and “scam,” claiming Brigitte was originally Jean-Michel Trogneux who had undergone gender transition surgery prior to marrying the president.

The content, which included purported details on family matters and surgery, exploded in popularity, resonating even within U.S. tabloids.

Initially, a lower court in September of last year ruled in Macron’s favor, requiring the women to pay €8,000 in damages. But the appeals court reversed course last Thursday, deeming the defendants’ actions as made in “good faith” despite their inaccuracy, thereby waiving all penalties.

This latest appeal to the Court of Cassation signals Brigitte Macron’s determination to hold purveyors of such rumors responsible. Meanwhile, the first lady continues to fight legal battles against her perceived  harassers: Four men, including Facebook publicist Aurélien Poirson-Atlan (known as “Zoé Sagan” online), are set for trial in Paris this October on charges of targeted torment.

These gender disinformation campaigns are part of a broader trend afflicting high-profile women, with similar unfounded attacks leveled against figures like former U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Kamala Harris, and New Zealand’s ex-Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, raising concerns about the erosion of truth in public discourse.

In the end, as Brigitte Macron drags this circus to France’s top court, one can’t help but chuckle at the Streisand effect turning this into a national spectacle.

Perhaps if she focused less on suing spiritual mediums and more on explaining why her hubby looks like he’s dating his former teacher (he is) these “state lies” wouldn’t keep transitioning into endless entertainment for the rest of us skeptics. Vive la farce!
