President Trump responded on Wednesday to a question about Epstein after he released a statement, calling the Epstein files a “Hoax” perpetrated by the Democrats. 

“It’s perpetrated by the Democrats and some stupid Republicans and foolish Republicans fall into the net, and so they try and do the Democrats work,” he said.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump said on Truth Social this morning that the Epstein files is the Democrats’ “new SCAM” that his supporters fell for “hook, line, and sinker.”

He further condemned his he condemned his “PAST supporters,” saying, “I don’t want their support anymore!”

Trump was asked about these comments on Wednesday in the Oval Office.

"Instead of talking about the things we've achieved— we've had tremendous achievement— they're wasting their time with a guy who obviously had some very serious problems, who died three, four years ago," he told reporters.

"The sad part is it's people that are really doing the Democrats’ work."

A man was detained Wednesday morning near the Capitol after police spotted a vehicle with a tricycle on its roof with a bow and arrow and empty holster inside near a security barrier located at 200 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, according to reports.

The man admitted to having guns in the car, according to a statement by Capitol Police.

Upon looking closer, officers saw a bow and arrow and empty gun holster in plain view. The owner of the vehicle was located just outside of the north barricade, and was detained for further questioning. The individual admitted to having guns in the vehicle, along with the bow and arrow.”

In Germany, the Bundestag’s police commissioner, Uli Grötsch, is pushing hard to boot out all members of the conservative Alternative for Germany (AfD) party from the police force.

As a member of the left-leaning Social Democratic Party (SPD), Grötsch holds a position designed to oversee police misconduct, but now he’s using his position to target supporters of the AfD to disqualify them from serving in law enforcement.

Speaking to the Rheinische Post, he expatiated that “AfD membership and work as a police officer are not compatible,” pointing to the party’s label as “right-wing extremist” by Germany’s intelligence agency, the BfV.

For Grötsch, any clear involvement, like campaigning for the AfD, seeking local office, or even running for parliament, should lead straight to dismissal from the force.

His extreme stance puts him at odds with more reasonable figures in the government, including those in the ruling coalition who reject broad-strokes removals.

Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt from the Christian Social Union (CSU) stressed that loyalty to the constitution must be evaluated individually, not through sweeping bans, as reported by Junge Freiheit.

This isn’t Grötsch’s first rodeo in going after AfD supporters in uniform; back in March 2024, he flagged any backing of the party as a major red flag.

He called the AfD increasingly extreme, despite the AfD purging extremists in their ranks, and warned that infiltration by those opposing democratic values could wreck the police and courts.

Now, he’s ramping up the heat, expanding his warnings in a chat with Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland. Grötsch argued that even basic membership or other forms of support for the AfD by police staff pose serious risks, leaving the door open to punishing simple acts like donating or showing sympathy.

A leaked internal directive from January 2025, first exposed by Junge Freiheit, showed plans to target AfD-linked officers for ousting. Signed by ex-Interior Minister Nancy Faeser, another SPD figure, the memo labeled active AfD participation as cause for discipline.

The federal police employs about 54,000 people, with 45,000 sworn officers, but no one knows how many align with the AfD.

An intranet post from the force noted that known AfD ties could spark investigations into misconduct, especially for those actively engaged, providing grounds for suspicion.

The AfD champions tough law-and-order policies, emphasizing secure borders, national pride, and public safety. These are ssues that naturally appeal to many in law enforcement facing real-world challenges.

The AfD vows to pursue legal action, as it continues to face mounting lawfare across Germany attempting to force their members out of civil service roles.

This crackdown smells like a leftist power grab, aiming to silence dissent and purge opponents under the guise of protecting democracy, echoing tactics that threaten free expression everywhere.

President Trump has been calling on Fed Chair Jerome Powell to resign.

“”Too Late” should resign immediately!!!” Trump said on Truth Social last week.

As previously reported, Jerome Powell last Tuesday took a shot at President Trump and said the Fed would have likely lowered interest rates if not for Trump’s tariffs.

President Trump inherited high inflation, a stalled economy and high unemployment from Joe Biden and Fed Chairman Jerome Powell is refusing to slash interest rates.

The Fed can stimulate the economy and the real estate market by lowering interest rates, however, Chairman Jerome Powell has left interest rates unchanged since Trump was sworn into office this year.

President Trump on Wednesday said it is ‘highly unlikely’ he will fire the Fed Chair.

Hunter Biden has blamed Kamala Harris’s defeat in the 2024 election on the Democratic Party’s supposed disloyalty to his father.

The younger Biden made the remarks during an interview he gave to former DNC Chair Jaime Harrison on his podcast At Our Table. 

He explained:

You know what, we are going to fight amongst ourselves for the next three years until there’s a nominee. And then with the nominee, we better as hell get behind that nominee.

And I will tell you why we lost the last election. We lost the election because we did not remain loyal to the leader of the party. That’s my position.

We had the advantage of incumbency. We had advantage of an incredibly successful administration and the Democratic Party literally melted down.

His comments reinforce the view of the Biden family that the former president was somehow betrayed by the Democratic establishment.

Around this time last year, Democratic bigwigs including Obama and Nancy Pelosi successfully ousted Biden from the presidential ticket and replaced him with Kamala Harris following his disastrous debate performance.

Obama himself slammed the party at a recent fundraiser for their alleged weakness in pushing back against Trump:

I think it’s going to require a little bit less navel-gazing and a little less whining and being in fetal positions. And it’s going to require Democrats to just toughen up.

You know, don’t tell me you’re a Democrat, but you’re kind of disappointed right now, so you’re not doing anything. No, now is exactly the time that you get in there and do something.

Don’t say that you care deeply about free speech and then you’re quiet. No, you stand up for free speech when it’s hard.

When somebody says something that you don’t like, but you still say, ‘You know what, that person has the right to speak.’ … What’s needed now is courage.

Hunter, meanwhile, recently admitted that he was millions of dollars in debt and too broke to continue a defamation lawsuit against former Trump aide Garrett Ziegler.

In a letter to Ziegler’s lawyers, Hunter’s attorney acknowledged that his client “lacks the resources to continue this litigation at this time.”
