President Trump on Tuesday had a playful moment with the reporter, who asked for details on the President’s last conversation with Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, who Trump has repeatedly attacked for refusing to lower interest rates.

Recall that Jerome Powell cut interest rates 50 basis points in September when inflation was MUCH HIGHER to boost Kamala Harris. It is obvious that Jerome Powell is playing politics.

But Powell has allegedly said he wants to go down in history as “someone who held the line against Trump,” Aurel Hizmo, who served as a Principal Economist at the Fed, told an undercover journalist.

As previously reported, Jerome Powell last Tuesday took a shot at President Trump and said the Fed would have likely lowered interest rates if not for Trump’s tariffs.

President Trump inherited high inflation, a stalled economy, and high unemployment from Joe Biden, and Fed Chairman Jerome Powell is refusing to slash interest rates.

The Fed can stimulate the economy and the real estate market by lowering interest rates, however, Chairman Jerome Powell has left interest rates unchanged since Trump was sworn into office this year.

Trump slammed Powell once again, pointing to a report he’s been referencing lately that shows 71 economists overwhelmingly predicted that inflation would continue to rise and cash would not be flowing into the country the way is is now. As The Gateway Pundit reported, the Trump Administration made history with U.S. customs duty collections topping $100 billion for the first time ever in a fiscal year– and he hasn’t even been in the White House for six months.

NEW: Fiscal Year 2025 Duty Collections Top $100 BILLION for First Time in History – June Sees $27 Billion in Tariff Revenue

Watch below:

Reporter: Fed Chairman Jerome Powell, when was the last time you spoke with him?

Trump: When he was in my office.

Reporter: And what did you tell him when he was in your office?

Trump: I told him he's doing a very bad job. He's way late. That's why I call him "Too Late." Jerome Powell is too late. He's way late. Interest rates should be coming down. We have a very, very successful country. We should have the lowest interest rate anywhere in the world, and we don't. Jerome Powell has done a terrible job, and, frankly, I don't think he could do a worse job. He's called everything wrong. So, they had a report come out the other day, 71 different economists and me. You know who was right? Me. Did you know that? I was right.

Reporter: Are you going to appoint Mr. Powell to another term as Fed Chair?

Trump: You must be kidding! You must be kidding. That's a funny one coming from you. You had to waste a question like that.

Texas AG Ken Paxton Threatens to Arrest Democrat Lawmakers If They Flee State to Block Trump-Backed Redistricting Plan Aimed at Gaining 5 More GOP House Seats

Attorney General Ken Paxton issued a stark warning to Democrat lawmakers: show up to work or face arrest.

The move comes as Democrats threaten to flee the Lone Star State in a desperate attempt to block a redistricting plan backed by President Donald Trump — one that could secure Republicans up to five additional seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.

President Trump announced the push Tuesday, stating, “There could be some other states we’re going to get another three, or four, or five in addition. Texas would be the biggest one… Just a simple redrawing we pick up five seats.”

The push is already receiving strong backing from Gov. Greg Abbott and national GOP leadership, with reports from POLITICO confirming that even the White House and Department of Justice are supporting the effort. A special legislative session is set to kick off next Monday in Austin to move the plan forward.

But the Democrats, once again, are playing dirty.

Instead of showing up to do the job Texans elected them to do, Democrats are reportedly plotting to flee the state, just like they infamously did in 2021, in a bid to deny quorum and stall the redistricting vote. And this time, they’re being cheered on by national party heavyweights.

According to Quorum Report, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, disgraced former Attorney General Eric Holder, and DNC Chair Jaime Harrison addressed the Texas Democrat caucus this week, urging them to obstruct Trump’s redistricting push.

“If Democrats ignore their duty to their constituents by breaking quorum, they should be found and arrested no matter where they go,” Paxton wrote on X.

“The people of Texas elected them to do a job, not run away and hide like cowards. Lawmakers must answer the special session call and pass the important priorities that the Governor has put forward.

“My office stands ready to assist local, state, and federal authorities in hunting down and compelling the attendance of anyone who abandons their office and their constituents for cheap political theater,” he concluded.

Busted in Minnesota: Duo Pleads Guilty After Flooding Election Offices With Fake Voter Registrations—Scheme Mirrors Michigan GBI Strategies Voter Fraud Investigation With ZERO Convictions
July 15, 2025

In October 2020, only one month before the general election, GBI Strategies, a Democrat-funded group, was caught by the Muskegon and Michigan State Police Departments submitting potentially thousands of false voter registration applications to the Muskegon Clerk’s office.

Here We Go Again: Ohio Board of Elections Asks SOS To Investigate Black Fork Strategies For Alleged Registration Fraud…”This is fraud! This is outright fraudulent behavior!”

The offices of Democrat Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and Democrat Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel each had investigators working with the Michigan State Police on the statewide investigation. According to the key suspect in the investigation, GBI Strategies focused on "canvassing" in urban areas of the state. The Michigan State Police report identifies U.S. Senator Gary Peters (D) and then-presidential candidate Joe Biden as the two campaigns funding the fraudulent voter registration group's work in the key swing state.

In Minnesota, the FBI investigated a similar voter registration fraud scam involving two individuals and an unnamed "voter registration" group that paid them for each registration they submitted. The voter fraud crimes took place between 2021 and 2022. Unlike Michigan, the perpetrators in this case were charged.

Two Nevada residents have pleaded guilty to filling out hundreds of voter registration forms with false information and then submitting them to 10 Minnesota election offices during the 2022 election. The former West St. Paul, Minnesota residents, 57-year-old Lorraine Lee Combs and 58-year-old Ronnie Williams, who are described as longtime romantic partners, were charged Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Minneapolis. The couple was caught and charged with conspiracy to engage in voter registration fraud in Minnesota. They were both charged through a judicial process called information, which indicates to the court their intention to plead guilty.

According to court documents, an unnamed voter registration group paid both individuals to create the fake registrations and submit them to 10 different counties in Minnesota. The counties have not been named, but the Carver County Sheriff's Department is mentioned in the U.S. Attorney's press release. Carver County, MN, is a swing county with Republicans holding a slight edge over Democratic voters. Creating large numbers of new voters out of thin air could significantly impact the outcome of their elections.

The U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Minnesota, had this to say about the charges that resulted from a 2-year investigation in the voter fraud scam: “Election fraud strikes at the heart of our democracy,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph H. Thompson. “Thankfully, the FBI stopped this fraud in its tracks before anyone successfully cast a fraudulent ballot. But we will stay vigilant. Whether it's jury bribery, witness tampering, or now election fraud—crimes that threaten our democracy have no place in Minnesota.”

“Nothing is more central to our democracy than fair and impartially conducted elections,” said Special Agent in Charge Alvin M. Winston Sr. of the FBI Minneapolis. "Through their actions, Combs and Williams attempted to deprive the citizens of Minnesota of a secure and reliable election process. Along with our partners, the FBI will stop at nothing to identify and bring to justice anyone who threatens the security of our electoral system.”

According to court documents, Williams then provided the completed voter registration forms to Foundation 1, an entity seeking to register voters in Minnesota, which submitted the false voter registration applications to county election offices across Minnesota. Foundation 1 paid Williams for the registrations, and Williams split the proceeds with Combs.

Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon claimed he worked to identify the false registrations and report them to law enforcement.

According to Alpha News, Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon stated that his office also partnered with local election officials, who utilized verification tools to identify inconsistencies and report them to law enforcement and Simon’s office. “The extensive checks in Minnesota’s voter registration process ensured that the fraudulent applications were immediately flagged, and no ineligible votes were cast,” Simon added.

In Michigan, when it was discovered that GBI Strategies (a Democrat-funded voter registration group) was sending packages filled with fake voter registrations from a hotel in Auburn Hills, MI, to clerks' offices across the state of Michigan, Corey Ames, an investigator working for Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, was assigned to the case. Curiously, Ms.Benson, a Democrat who is now running for governor of the state, kept the investigation hidden from the public. Moreover, MI Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson kept the investigation hidden from the clerks, who were never told to be on the lookout for the fraudulent voter applications.

Unlike the Minnesota Secretary of State, who was transparent about their findings, Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson kept the statewide investigation into GBI Strategies a secret from Michigan clerks tasked with determining whether the voter registrations they received in the mail were legitimate or fraudulent. Michigan clerks used Facebook to compare notes when they received what they considered suspicious activity. fcomplain about the large volume of fake voter registrations they were receiving from the Democrat-funded group, which never faced any criminal charges for its actions.

The image below is a screenshot taken by The Gateway Pundit from a Michigan Clerk's Facebook page, which we were given access to through a whistleblower. The post shared by a clerk on the west side of the state, reveals a photo of the box of phony voter registrations she received from GBI Strategies, aka Empower Michigan (EM), from a hotel on the other side of the state.

Although Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, who is also a Democrat, is very vocal about using lawfare to punish her political enemies, she also chose to keep the statewide voter registration fraud investigation hidden from the public. In the video below, Stephen Morse, an investigator working for Dana Nessel's office, can be seen interviewing the key suspect, who was employed by GBI Strategies and was caught turning in a massive quantity of fake registrations.

Unlike the two suspects who just pleaded guilty to creating and turning in over 500 fraudulent voter registrations in Minnesota, not one person, including the key suspect in the GBI Strategies voter fraud case, was ever charged for their role in the Democrat-funded voter fraud scheme.

Although FOIA requests related to GBI Strategies' work in Michigan and other states have been submitted, they have reportedly all been rejected due to an "ongoing investigation."

So far, the voter registration group involved in the Minnesota voter registration fraud investigation has not been named.  The Minnesota voter registration group that paid Williams and Lee-Combs is listed as "Foundation 1" in the court documents.

Many of these groups, like GBI Strategies and Black Fork Strategies which operates in Ohio and have also been accused of mass voter registration fraud, are funded by left-leaning organizations or PACs.

Here We Go Again: Ohio Board of Elections Asks SOS To Investigate Black Fork Strategies For Alleged Registration Fraud…”This is fraud! This is outright fraudulent behavior!”

One of the top funders of GBI Strategies (which now appears to be defunct or has reorganized under a new acronym) was the DSCC (Democratic Senate Campaign Committee). Curiously, U.S. Senator Gary Peters, whose campaign funded their work in Michigan, has served as chairman for the past two election cycles. Peters shocked Michigan residents when he abruptly announced his retirement at the end of his term in 2024.

Days after she offered to be deposed in Congress on the Epstein files, Ghislaine Maxwell sees her chances of an appeal of her sentencing dwindle.

In the midst of the Epstein files controversy, the ‘disgraced socialite’ Ghislaine Maxwell is back in the headlines.

‘G-Max’ grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth as the youngest daughter of British media mogul (and alleged Mossad spy) Robert Maxwell.

Once Maxwell ‘fell from his boat’ and died, it became clear he had been plundering the pension funds from his companies.

Ghislaine flew to America to escape public disgrace, and ended up entangled in the web of ‘financier’ Jeffrey Epstein, becoming for decades his most trusted friend and accomplice.

When the Epstein scandal broke, she led a life of a fugitive of sorts, again engulfed by public disgrace.

She was arrested, tried and convicted for 5 counts: Conspiracy to entice minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts; Conspiracy to transport minors to participate in illegal sex acts; Transporting a minor to participate in illegal sex acts; Sex trafficking conspiracy; Sex trafficking of a minor.

From her cell in FCI Tallahassee in Florida, Ghislaine is said to be working on her memoir, and has lately launched an appeal to the Supreme Court to have her sentencing reviewed.

She also inserted herself in the current Epstein files controversy, and offered to be deposed in congress.

Telegraph reported:

“The Trump administration has urged the Supreme Court to reject an appeal from Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted sex trafficker and former associate of Jeffrey Epstein.

Maxwell, 63, is serving a 20-year prison sentence in Florida for conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse underage girls.

Her lawyers had asked the court to review her conviction, arguing she was protected under a 2008 non-prosecution agreement Epstein struck with prosecutors in Florida.”

“That contention is incorrect, and petitioner does not show that it would succeed in any court of appeals,” wrote D John Sauer, the US solicitor-general.

During G-max’s trial, four women testified that she ‘recruited and groomed’ them for Epstein at his homes in New York, New Mexico, Florida and the Virgin Islands.

Her lawyers argue that the original deal Epstein struck in 2008 in Florida should have also protected from prosecution.

“’A defendant should be able to rely on a promise that the United States will not prosecute again, without being subject to a gotcha in some other jurisdiction that chooses to interpret that plain language promise in some other way’, wrote David Markus, Maxwell’s lawyer.”
