White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt roasted a New York Times reporter for asking a foolish question about the President’s decision to speak to Putin privately after meeting with European leaders on Monday.

The New York Times correspondent Sean McCreesh asked about the President, saying that it “would be disrespectful to President Putin” if he made the phone call in front of the European leaders during a Fox interview this morning.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump explained in his own words why he did not take the call in front of the European leaders, saying that Putin “had no communication with the White House for years as people died” and “wouldn’t talk to the people from Europe,” and “they have not had the warmest relations.”

He further highlighted the fact that Putin had no contact with the Biden White House “for years” as the war was ongoing.

“It’s a fractured relationship,” he said.

Karoline Leavitt threw the question back in his face, noting that "only a reporter from the New York Times would ask a question like that." She then highlighted all of the great things that the leaders had to say about President Trump hosting a historic meeting at the White House and leading the negotiations with Putin.

"There was so much progress in the readout that was given to these European leaders immediately following his meeting with President Putin that every single one of them got on a plane 48 hours later and flew to the United States of America," Leavitt said in reference to the President's Friday meeting in Alaska with Putin.

"These leaders, who this war is in their backyard, are very grateful that the President took that call and that he was there to provide them with a readout of Russia's thinking on this, something that was not done by the previous administration at all."

We spoke about very sensitive points.” The Secretary General, Mark Rutte: “It was the president, only because of the President that this deadlock was broken with President Putin by starting a dialog.” So, these leaders, who this war is in their backyard, are very grateful that the President took that call and that he was there to provide them with a readout of Russia's thinking on this, something that was not done by the previous administration at all.

Former MSNBC host Joy Reid went on another hate-filled rant and trashed white people during her chat with far-left ‘journalist’ Wajahat Ali.

Reid was fired as the host of MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” in February.

Joy Reid said white people can’t invent anything so they had to steal ideas from blacks.

This is just laughable.

“We black folk gave y’all country music, hip-hop, R&B, jazz, rock and roll. They couldn’t even invent that,” Joy Reid said.

“But they have to call a white man “The King” because they couldn’t make rock and roll,” Joy Reid said attacking Elvis.

“So they have to stamp “The King” on a man whose main song was stolen from an overweight black woman,” she said of Elvis’s hit “Hound Dog.”

There was a massive explosion after a driver rammed their vehicle into a veterinarian office’s gas line in Wilmington, North Carolina, on Tuesday.

Video posted to X showed the massive explosion at the Eastern Carolina Veterinary Medical Center on New Centre Drive.

According to WWAY, the driver, who was apprehended after initially fleeing the scene, showed signs of impairment.

Three firefighters suffered injuries and third-degree burns.

No one was inside the building at the time of the explosion.

Three firefighters were injured while responding to a building explosion on New Centre Dr. on Tuesday.

According to officials, a vehicle turned from New Center Dr. onto Bob King Dr. The vehicle hit gas lines and drove off. It caused an explosion at East Carolina Veterinary Medical Center.

Police say that the vehicle and driver were located and the driver had signs of impairment. The driver is now in custody.

After the explosion, three firefighters from the Wilmington Fire Department were injured while fighting the resulting blaze. Two had non-life threating injuries and one firefighter had severe burn injuries on their hands and arms.

The Biden-Harris border catastrophe has now reached a shocking new low.

Newly released data from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), made public by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), reveals that the Biden regime handed over more than 11,000 migrant children to strangers who were never vetted, fingerprinted, or background-checked, in direct violation of federal law.

Even more disturbing, the regime skipped home studies for more than 79,000 children under the age of 12, abandoning basic child protection measures designed to keep kids safe from predators, traffickers, and criminals.

“[Today] I released HHS data [that] exposes [the] Biden-Harris [administration] [for] placing [over] 11,000 migrant children [with] unvetted sponsors [and] not conducting home studies for [over] 79,000 migrant kids. Thankfully, the Trump [administration] has launched an interagency initiative [to finally] address these issues [and end] the abuse,” Grassley wrote on X.

He continued, “Biden-Harris admin refused to comply w my multiple investigative requests for this info. NUMBERS T LIE. It’s plain as day the last admin mismanaged the program [and ]put kids at risk.”

A newly released letter from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to Senator Chuck Grassley reveals that the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) let 65,000 “Notices of Concern” pile up UNADDRESSED between 2021 and 2024.

These “Notices of Concern” include reports of missing children, abuse, neglect, sex trafficking, and organized crime connections.Federal law requires them to be acted on within 24 hours.

Instead, the Biden-Harris team buried them while they rushed to clear out overcrowded detention facilities and secretly shipped children off to unvetted “sponsors.”

According to the HHS data summary, between January 2021 and January 2025, 11,488 migrant children were placed with unvetted sponsors who were neither parents nor legal guardians, and never subjected to the mandatory FBI fingerprinting process.

Federal statute (8 U.S.C. 1232(c)(3)(A)) clearly requires these checks, but the Biden regime simply ignored the law.

That means more than 1 in 10 migrant children who were handed over to strangers were placed in households where the government never bothered to confirm whether adults were criminals, abusers, or traffickers.

The scandal gets darker. According to HHS, its own internal watchdog flagged over 1,600 fraud and trafficking cases in FY 2024 alone involving sponsors and even parents back in the kids’ home countries.

Only after Grassley demanded answers did ORR scramble to launch a “whole-of-government initiative” in February 2025, years too late for countless children.

The report also admits that ORR relied on 14 “emergency influx” facilities, including one in Pomona, California run by Cherokee Federal to warehouse kids in 2021.

“My oversight continues to expose disturbing evidence that the Biden-Harris administration turned a blind eye to tens of thousands of kids who needed proper supervision and care. It’s appalling to prioritize speed and optics over the safety and wellbeing of children,” Grassley said in a statement.

“I appreciate the Trump administration’s efforts to undo the damage caused by the last administration’s failed border policies, and I’ll continue my oversight of the issue to ensure abuse like this never happens again.”

A federal judge late Monday night dismissed part of a lawsuit filed against Alligator Alcatraz.

Illegals being detained at Alligator Alcatraz filed a lawsuit citing the Fifth Amendment in their complaint.

US District Judge Rodolfo Ruiz, a Trump appointee, said the Fifth Amendment argument is moot.

The Hill reported:

A federal judge late Monday dismissed portions of a lawsuit brought by Alligator Alcatraz detainees, handing the Trump administration a partial win in its pushback on allegations that the migrants aren’t being given sufficient access to attorneys.

U.S. District Judge Rodolfo Ruiz agreed the administration’s new designation of a Miami-based immigration court to handle the detainees’ cases makes their Fifth Amendment claims against the federal government moot.

“This is a classic case of mootness,” wrote Ruiz, who was appointed to the bench by President Trump.

As for the detainees’ separate First Amendment claims, which allege they aren’t able to communicate confidentially with counsel, Ruiz said those remain a live controversy that can proceed.

Still, the judge agreed with the administration that those issues should go before the federal judicial district in Florida that covers the Alligator Alcatraz site, rather than Ruiz’s courtroom in Miami.
