MUST READ… The Gateway Pundit Exclusive: Drones and Airstrikes Pound the Frontline in the War in Burma

The Battle of Pasaung was a crucial fight for the Burma resistance forces, which kicked off on August 14, as they tried to retake their ethnic states from the Burma army, which is oppressing and murdering the civilian population (read my other stories about the lead-up to the battle and the early part of the fight itself on The Gateway Pundit).

On the morning of the battle, the Karenni Nationalities Defense Force, one of the resistance armies, dropped me off at the Free Burma Rangers (FBR) casualty collection point, where I photographed the living and the dead, along with the soldiers, medics, and volunteers who risked their own lives to save others.

The Free Burma Rangers (FBR) casualty collection point, close to the front lines, must always be hidden from view under jungle cover, but it is best if located in a cave or beneath a road, where it has some protection from airstrikes. Photo by Antonio Graceffo.

In the afternoon, I jumped on a truck headed back to the front lines and got off just before a bridge that looked like it would be a primary target in any other war. The difference between being “at the front” versus at the casualty collection point, which wasn’t terribly far behind, was that the explosions were more frequent. At the collection point, we could hear artillery and were occasionally snooped by Chinese-made Y-12 planes that dropped ordnance nearby. Here at the front, the ordnance was falling danger close. And it was constant.

The soldiers guarding the bridge had an underground bunker, and all day they alternated between guarding the road and diving into the bunker when the planes began to dive. I have been involved in this war off and on for 20 years. During the first ten years, planes were a non-issue. For the first 14 years there were no drones.

Now, drones and airstrikes are among the biggest causes of casualties. And most of that hardware and technology comes from Russia and China, despite international sanctions and condemnation. International sanctions are worth about as much as the paper they’re printed on, about as effective at ending this war as they would be at stopping a tidal wave.

The closer you are to the front, the more time you spend watching the sky. Photo by Antonio Graceffo.

Almost immediately after I arrived, I heard small-arms fire about 20 meters away. At first, I thought we were being overrun, but then I realized it was a warning that jets were diving, and we all dove into the bunker. Another sound I heard for the first time was strafing runs. When I was at the front in 2007 and 2008, there were almost no planes and only the occasional airstrike.

Even in Demoso, the city in Karenni State where I had been for the past three weeks, we heard and saw airstrikes, drone and mortar attacks all day, but I never heard strafing. At the front, the planes dove and opened up with their 30 mm autocannons. I couldn’t imagine getting caught in those crosshairs. The damage a 30 mm round can do to a human being is horrendous.

Ask any military man and they’ll tell you a soldier’s life is “hurry up and wait.” It took the soldiers and me days to cross the country and reach the battlefront, with delays ranging from hours to overnight while waiting for the next truck or boat to carry us to the next stage of the journey.

Bunker life is just more “hurry up and wait.” Bombs fall, and all you can do is wait for the signal to go into combat. Until then, it’s simply a matter of trying to stay alive. Photo by Antonio Graceffo.

During that time there were airstrikes, deaths, and sudden changes of plan. But there were also moments of laughter, singing, and joking with the soldiers. We cooked and ate when we had food; when we didn’t, there was nothing. Sometimes civilians shared with them, sometimes other units provided food, and sometimes we were able to buy it.

Resistance soldiers headed to the front. These men actually had helmets, vests, and weapons, but most soldiers did not. Photo by Antonio Graceffo.

But a soldier’s life is mostly moving and waiting in boredom, until the battle, which once again becomes an exercise in waiting and boredom punctuated by terror and pain.

Exhaustion. Photo by Antonio Graceffo.

At the front, I connected with the PL Army, one of the Karenni armed groups. The commander recognized me from a previous mission, so he looked after me as best he could. Their supplies were almost nonexistent, but he managed to give me several bottles of water and some cookies.

I sat with them in their outpost guarding the bridge, and while artillery and airstrikes boomed on both sides of the river, I kept staring at the bridge, thinking, What a perfect target—why haven’t they blown it up yet? After about an hour of watching planes fly overhead, dropping bombs but skipping the bridge, I figured there must be a reason it wasn’t being hit, making it, ironically, the safest place in Burma. So, I went out and sat on the bridge with the commander.

We sat out there watching the bombs fall, powerless to do anything about them. Just as we were taking a photo, a jet came overhead. I kept my eyes on the camera; he looked up at the sky. Our two disparate reactions had an equal impact on the outcome of the war, which was none.

Toward evening, I asked some soldiers to take me back to the Rangers. From the casualty collection point, I caught an ambulance back to the city. The next morning, I went with the priest to attend a mass wake for some Karenni Army soldiers killed in the battle. Story to come.

Some Democratic strategists have finally discovered something already known to sentient Americans: their crumbling party uses word terms that rightfully render them unserious. Now, they are begging members to choose their words more carefully in order to better hide their radical views from voters.

On Friday, the left-leaning policy think tank Third Way published a memo titled “Was It Something I Said?” In the document, the group admits Democrats have alienated Americans with “superior, haughty, and arrogant language.”

In Third Way’s view, this elitist language is a primary barrier in their quest to stop President Trump and MAGA. By continuing down this current path, Americans will continue to side with the president and his party, even with certain misgivings.

To rectify this, Third Way included a list of 45 words Democrats should avoid to avoid repelling voters. These include terms such as patriarchy, triggering, safe space, body-shaming, Latinx, and cisgender.

“These are words that people simply do not say, yet they hear them from Democrats,” the group writes. “Those words put up their own Ivy League walls between policymakers and voters. “

Third Way divided the list into six categories: Therapy-Speak, Seminar Room Language, Organizer Jargon, Gender/Orientation Correctness, The Shifting Language of Racial Constructs, and Explaining Away Crime.

Here is the full list of words and categories:

Therapy-Speak

1. Privilege
2. Violence (as in “environmental violence”)
3. Dialoguing
4. Othering
5. Triggering
6. Microaggression/assault/invalidation
7. Progressive stack
8. Centering
9. Safe space
10. Holding space
11. Body shaming

Seminar Room Language

12. Subverting norms
13. Systems of oppression
14. Critical theory
15. Cultural appropriation
16. Postmodernism
17. Overton Window
18. Heuristic
19. Existential threat to [climate, the planet, democracy, the economy]

Organizer Jargon

20. Radical transparency
21. Small ‘d’ democracy
22. Barriers to participation
23. Stakeholders
24. The unhoused
25. Food insecurity
26. Housing insecurity
27. Person who immigrated

Gender/Orientation Correctness

28. Birthing person
29. Inseminated person
30. Pregnant people
31. Chest feeding
32. Cisgender
33. Deadnaming
34. Heteronormative
35. Patriarchy
36. LGBTQIA+

The Shifting Language of Racial Constructs

37. Latinx
38. BIPOC
39. Allyship
40. Intersectionality
41. Minoritized communities

Explaining Away Crime

42. Justice-involved
43. Carceration
44. Incarcerated people
45. Involuntary confinement

Third Way admits to using some of these terms in its own writings and make clear that the “catastrophe of Trump 2.0” is the main reason to ditch such language.

“As the catastrophe of Trump 2.0 has shown, the most important thing we can do for these people and causes is to build a bigger army to fight them,” Third Way writes. “Communicating in authentic ways that welcome rather than drive voters away would be a good start.”

One can only hope voters do not fall for this effort to put lipstick on a pig because not one radical Democrat policy will change. Only words.

Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears fires up the crowd at a rally by President Trump in Salem, Virginia, November 2, 2024, photo by Kristinn Taylor.

Winsome Earle-Sears is the current Lieutenant Governor of Virginia and the Republican candidate for Governor of Virginia in the upcoming election.

Sears has vocally opposed the idea of boys in girls’ locker rooms and the other gender related nonsense that has been embraced by the left in recent years.

The Gateway Pundit reported that during a political event this week, a liberal white woman held up a vile sign in protest of Sears.

The sign read:

Hey Winsome
If Trans Can’t Share
Your Bathroom
Then Blacks Can’t Share
My Water Fountain

Sears shared her disgust following the incident and called out her Democrat opponent, Abigail Spanberger.

“I’m disgusted, but not surprised.”

“This is the ‘tolerant’ left Abigail Spanberger defends.”

“I’m the sitting Lieutenant Governor, second in command in the former Capitol of the confederate states. I’m an immigrant, a Marine, and above all, a human being. There is no place for this disgusting hatred in our Commonwealth. Anyone who doesn’t condemn this sign is complicit in approving it.”

Spanberger condemned the sign, calling it “racist, abhorrent and unacceptable,” but Earle-Sears called her opponent’s tepid remarks “weak.”

“A very weak response from a very weak person who we know cannot lead Virginia as governor,” Earle-Sears stated.

“She’s finally come out of hiding when she should have a long time ago come out and defended so many things that are so wrong, and she’s been absent.”

DNI Tulsi Gabbard Bars Intel Community from Sharing Classified Intelligence Regarding Ukraine Negotiations with Five Eyes Partners – And This Makes Perfect Sense
August 23, 2025

Barack Obama bids President Trump a farewell after his Inauguration. We now know Obama was running a coup against Trump behind the scenes at the time. Trump had no idea what was about to hit him. – Wikicommons

On Friday, CBS News reported that Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, banned US classified intelligence regarding the negotiations on Ukraine with Five Eyes partners.

The Five Eyes Alliance (FVEY) is an intelligence alliance comprising Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The organization has its origins traced back to World War II.

This information was leaked to CBS News by current intel operatives. They spoke under condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive national security matters.

They should be tossed out the door like the other dirty leakers in the intelligence community.

In 2018, The Gateway Pundit was the first to report that the Deep State was using foreigners to spy on then-candidate Trump in 2015 prior to the 2016 presidential election.  President Trump tweeted our report by Joe Hoft the following day and the fake-news mainstream media immediately attacked him for promoting what they called a “conspiracy theory.”

We later discovered more evidence in 2020 that we were 100% correct in our initial reporting.

President Trump responded to our report at the time.

Joe Hoft reported on this development at the time.  In June of 2018 The Gateway Pundit posted an article identifying unredacted words in previously redacted texts between corrupt cops Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, two individuals supposedly having an affair and key players at the top of the FBI involved in spying on candidate and then President Trump.

The discovery came from an individual on Twitter who was later removed from the platform, named Nick Falco, who identified a word uncovered in a Senate text that the corrupt DOJ previously redacted.

In our 2018 post, we noted that hidden in the information released by the Senate at that time were unredacted Strzok–Page texts that revealed that the FBI initiated actions to insert multiple spies in the Trump campaign in December 2015.

According to far left LA Times, Comey stated in March of 2017 under oath that the FBI investigation into the Trump – Russia scandal started in July 2016.

We knew then without a doubt that Comey lied about this.

Intelligence expert Tony Shaffer retweeted Falco’s tweet:

Falco’s tweet stated that the texts released from corrupt FBI investigator Peter Strzok to corrupt FBI attorney Lisa Page state the following :

BOMBSHELL- From DECEMBER 2015–The word LURES is redacted by FBI but not OIG; OCONUS LURES; OCONUS= Outside Contiguous US LURES= In this context LURES = SPIES – multiple – Is this an admission that the FBI wanted to run a baited Sting Op using foreign agents against Trump?”

Joe Hoft at The Gateway Pundit provided additional information showing that Obama’s spy, Stefan Halper, was awarded a contract in September of 2015.

We also pointed out that the problem with Obama spying on Trump before July 2016 is that it was against FBI rules and contradicted public statements:

Retired assistant FBI director for intelligence Kevin Brock also has questions. Brock supervised an agency update to their longstanding bureau rules governing the use of sources while working under then-director Robert Mueller. These rules prohibit the FBI from directing a human source to perform espionage on an American until a formal investigation has been opened – paperwork and all.

Brock sees oddities in how the Russia case began. “These types of investigations aren’t normally run by assistant directors and deputy directors at headquarters,” he told me. “All that happens normally in a field office, but that isn’t the case here and so it becomes a red flag. Congress would have legitimate oversight interests in the conditions and timing of the targeting of a confidential human source against a U.S. person.” -The Hill

The problem with Comey lying about the start date of the Trump counterintelligence campaign before Congress is that it is against the law.

President Trump tweeted out a follow up to our post the next day undoubtedly referring to our report:

The mainstream media was not interested in this unprecedented and illegal act by the Barack Obama administration. They were interested in accusing President Trump of tweeting a conspiracy story.   The fake news media denied the fact that spying on candidate Trump occurred despite evidence showing took place and then slammed the President and the Gateway Pundit for posting the tweets from Nick Falco.

To this day Wikipedia (which supports crazy far-left and dishonest positions in anything related to President Trump) calls this work, a conspiracy and “Spygate” a conspiracy.

Wikipedia calls the above story a conspiracy and the Gateway Pundit a conspiracy media outlet. However, they never called CNN, NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, ABC, The New York Times, Washington Post, and the many other far-left sites conspiracy outlets for pushing the Trump – Russia collusion for over eight years now!

** You can read the rest of our previous report here.

Fast forward to February 2024 – Investigative reporter Michael Shellenberger reported that the CIA had foreign spy agencies spy on candidate Donald Trump including 26 members of his campaign.

From Shellenberger on X.

CIA Had Foreign Allies Spy On Trump Team, Triggering Russia Collusion Hoax, Sources Say

United States Intelligence Community targeted 26 Trump advisors for foreign spy agencies to “reverse target” and “bump”

by Shellenberger, matt taibbi, and alex gutentag

John Durham, a special prosecutor for the Department of Justice (DOJ), concluded in his report that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) should never have opened its investigation of alleged collusion by then-presidential candidate Donald J. Trump and Russia in late July of 2016.

Now, multiple credible sources tell Public and Racket that the United States Intelligence Community (IC), including the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), illegally mobilized foreign intelligence agencies to target Trump advisors long before the summer of 2016.

The new information fills many gaps in our understanding of the Russia collusion hoax and is supported by testimony already in the public record.

Knowing that the Five Eyes partners were spying on President Trump during the 2016 election for Barack Obama, it should be no surprise that President Trump does not want to share sensitive information on Ukrainian negotiations with these conflicted intel partners.

Vice President JD Vance wasted no time shutting down the corporate media’s attempt to portray the raid on former National Security Adviser John Bolton’s home and office as an act of petty revenge.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the FBI raided Bolton’s Maryland home in an investigation that FBI Director Kash Patel is leading. They also raided his office in DC.

The investigation is reportedly linked to a classified documents probe years ago, but was later shut down under the Biden administration.

As the raid began, FBI Director Kash Patel took to X and wrote, “NO ONE is above the law.”

A short time after the raid, Vance sat down with NBC’s Kristen Welker for a “Meet the Press” interview. The full interview will air on Sunday.

Unsurprisingly, Welker tried to play gotcha by pulling the ‘a lot of people are saying’ trick to make it appear Trump was just trying to get back at Bolton because he hates the president.

But Vance has the perfect answer to shut down her line of garbage. He pointed out that everyone she cited who claimed this was about revenge were the same people who tried to lock up Trump for life on garbage charges.

He went on to say that the move was far from hasty, and people will understand this as the case unfolds.

How embarrassing for Welker.

WATCH:

WELKER: You know, a lot of people have already looked at this and said, ‘This looks a lot like retribution. Is this retribution?

VANCE: Who has said it looks a lot like retribution, Kristen? A lot of people who tried to throw Donald Trump in prison for completely fake charges that were later thrown out by multiple different courts?

I suspect that if the media and the American people actually let this case play out, they’re going to find out that what we’re doing has been very deliberate.
