For most analysts, the question of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan, and a resulting war with the United States, is not if, but when. Dr. Gregory J. Moore, Professor of Government at Patrick Henry College and Senior Fellow at the National Institute for Deterrence Studies, presented an assessment for the United States Air University in which he argued that Xi Jinping’s decision on when to invade Taiwan and risk war with the U.S. depends on 13 critical factors, along with four additional enduring conditions.

Based on Dr. Moore’s analysis, Xi’s calculus rests on 13 key factors: (1) the People’s Liberation Army’s (PLA) level of military preparedness, (2) China’s struggling economy, (3) Taiwan’s identity drifting further from mainland China, (4) China’s demographic decline, (5) the importance of Taiwan’s semiconductor industry, (6) the growing importance of semiconductors to China amid technological isolation, (7) the expanding U.S. commitment to Taiwan, (8) the current lack of U.S.–Taiwan joint exercises and interoperability, (9) China’s present advantage in ship-killer hypersonic weapons, (10) U.S. efforts to develop hypersonic weapons and defenses, (11) the poor state of U.S.–China relations, (12) Xi’s perception of U.S. intentions as increasingly hostile, and (13) the 2024 victory of Taiwan’s pro-independence Democratic Progressive Party.

Of these 13 factors, 11 suggest that an invasion may be imminent, while only two argue for delay. Yet postponement would erode the advantages provided by the 11 factors already aligned in Beijing’s favor. The two that point toward waiting are People’s Liberation Army (PLA) military preparedness and China’s struggling economy.

The PLA still has gaps in training, logistics, and capability, and would benefit from more time to modernize. China’s economy also faces mounting headwinds: disputed growth figures, a collapsing housing market, youth unemployment surpassing 21 percent, deflation driven by the trade war with the United States, slowing exports, and growing isolation as countries pursue “de-risking” and “decoupling” strategies.

The other 11 indicators favor earlier action. Taiwan’s national identity continues to drift away from China, with surveys showing only 3.6 percent of Taiwanese identifying as Chinese by 2022, compared to 61 percent identifying exclusively as Taiwanese. China’s demographic decline threatens future military recruitment, adding pressure to act before manpower shortages deepen.

Taiwan’s dominance in advanced semiconductors, largely through TSMC, remains an attractive prize, but one that may diminish as production diversifies to Arizona, Germany, and Japan. With U.S. export controls tightening, Beijing’s isolation from advanced chips makes Taiwan’s fabs even more valuable now.

Military dynamics further tilt the balance. China currently holds an advantage in ship-killer and hypersonic weapons, particularly the DF-17 system, while the U.S. lacks reliable countermeasures. This edge, however, will not last, as Washington accelerates development of its own hypersonic weapons and defenses.

U.S. commitment to Taiwan has also grown steadily through arms sales, military aid, and stronger political backing, and will likely only deepen with time. At present, Taiwan and the U.S. lack the kind of joint exercises and interoperability enjoyed with treaty allies like Japan or South Korea, but that gap will close if Xi delays.

Diplomatic and political factors also press Xi toward action. U.S.–China relations are already at a low point, reducing the cost of further deterioration. Xi himself has described American strategy as “comprehensive containment, encirclement and suppression,” reinforcing his perception of U.S. hostility and his belief that Washington will increasingly use Taiwan as a tool to weaken China.

Finally, Taiwan’s 2024 election, which handed victory to the pro-independence Democratic Progressive Party, eliminated hopes for warmer cross-strait ties and reinforced Taiwan’s trajectory away from Beijing.

Beyond these dashboard indicators, Moore identifies four enduring conditions that amplify the urgency. First, the CCP’s “sacred commitment” to Taiwan anchors Beijing’s ideology of territorial integrity and national identity. Second, authoritarian decision-making creates distortions, as Xi may not receive honest assessments of PLA readiness due to military purges and a culture of fear.

Third, Xi’s personal political incentives drive urgency: reclaiming Taiwan would cement his legacy and strengthen his position at the 2027 Party Congress, where his fourth term will be decided. Finally, Xi’s directive that the PLA be ready by 2027, confirmed publicly by CIA Director William Burns, sets a hard timeline for preparation.

Moore concludes that a Chinese invasion of Taiwan within one to three years, likely before the October 2027 Party Congress, must be treated as a plausible scenario. While military preparedness favors delay, the weight of the other indicators, and the distortions of authoritarian decision-making, make earlier action increasingly likely. Ignoring these realities risks leaving the United States and its allies unprepared for what may become the most volatile flashpoint in U.S. foreign policy.

The demise of disgraced ‘comedian’ Jimmy Kimmel may be premature, even after his defamatory statements regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the left-wing Kimmel told his late-night audience on Monday that a MAGA REPUBLICAN murdered Kirk and accused the right of trying to score political points off of it.

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel claimed.

Nexstar later announced that all 32 of its ABC broadcast affiliates would preempt “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” indefinitely, blasting Kimmel’s sick comments about Kirk’s murder as “offensive and insensitive.”

Disney also pulled Kimmel’s show.

“Disney is pulling ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ “indefinitely, the company confirmed to Fox News Digital, Fox reported.

While this appeared to be the end of Kimmel, Disney is apparently having second thoughts. Variety reported on Friday that the company has entered talks to bring Kimmel back into the fold.

From Variety:

Jimmy Kimmel and Disney are working toward reaching a compromise that would allow “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to return to ABC.

The veteran host’s business and legal representatives are deep in discussions with Disney and ABC leaders in the hopes of finding a path to a compromise that would allow for the return of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” according to three people with knowledge of the situation.

There is no guarantee Kimmel and Disney will come to terms on agreement to return to the airwaves, these people cautioned. Nor is it clear where Kimmel’s mindset stands on what he would and would not accept from ABC as conditions of taking the stage again for “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

It’s understood that Kimmel is mindful of the effects a shutdown would have on dozens of his production staffers as well as vendors in Los Angeles who work on the show, according to one source with knowledge of the situation. The host is also aware some staff and crew members are still digging out of the financial hole created by the months-long writers and actors strikes in 2023.

The fact that discussions are happening cannot be welcome news to conservatives, as it would mean that slander could go largely unpunished.

Russia Includes the Banned ‘International Satanism Movement’ in Financial Blacklist, Vows To Freeze Assets of Members

Putin moves against the Satanists.

Demonized by the western press, Putin is actually leading the fight against International Satanism.

This last week we were blessed by US President’s Donald J. Trump’s decision to name ANTIFA as an international terrorist organization, a decision that pother countries like the Netherlands and Hungary have already moved to implement, too.

But the week also reserved a move by the much-vilified Russian President Vladimir Putin that is in many ways complimentary to that: tackling the Satanists.

It was reported yesterday (18) that Russia added the ‘international Satanism movement’ to a financial blacklist, thus enabling the country to ‘freeze the assets of alleged members.’

This echoes actions Moscow has taken against other ‘terrorists and extremists’ such as the ‘international LGBT movement’ and the ‘anti-Russian separatist movement’.

Barrons/AFP reported:

“As such groups are vaguely defined under Russian law, prosecutors can accuse anyone of being a member, giving Moscow a free hand to pursue political opponents, according to critics.”

As we see, the AFP report feels the need to defend the Satanists.

“Russia’s Supreme Court declared the ‘international Satanism movement’ extremist in July, after prosecutors accused its members of desecrating Orthodox Christian churches and spreading ‘hatred’.

‘The movement is closely linked to manifestations of radical nationalism and neo-Nazism’, Russia’s prosecutor general said in a statement in July.”

“Patriarch Kirill, the influential head of the Russian Orthodox Church, voiced support for the ban in January, accusing Satanists of conducting malign ‘rituals’ and recruiting young people.

‘Think about it… Our soldiers are ready to give their lives for values that are clearly being trampled upon by Satanists’, he said at a ceremony at the Kremlin.”

Representative Ilhan Omar has consistently demonstrated that she is not aligned with American values.

Her latest comments following the assassination of Charlie Kirk make this fact unavoidable.

Instead of condemning political violence, Omar has excused it through silence and deflection.

WATCH: Why The LEFT Has A VIOLENCE Issue

For a sitting member of Congress to treat the murder of a prominent conservative leader with anything less than outrage reveals a mindset hostile to the principles upon which this country was built.

Omar has never championed policies that put Americans first.

She opposed the Abraham Accords, which strengthened peace in the Middle East. She has worked against securing our borders.

She has pushed for policies that would defund law enforcement while crime ravaged American cities.

Each of these positions undermines national security and the well-being of American families.

They reflect the priorities of someone who sees the United States not as a country to protect, but as a system to dismantle.

The deeper problem is that Omar’s worldview closely aligns with that of the Muslim Brotherhood, an organization that has inspired terrorism across the globe.

The Brotherhood is the ideological parent of Hamas and al-Qaeda. Its networks have supported violence from Egypt to Syria to Gaza.

Yet, despite its record of radicalization, it has never been designated a terrorist organization by the United States.

This is a dangerous oversight, one that President Trump must correct in his second term.

By formally designating the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group, the U.S. would cut off its access to funding and delegitimize its political operatives worldwide.

More importantly, it would send a clear message that those who sympathize with or excuse extremist violence will not be tolerated in positions of influence.

Omar’s rhetoric consistently mirrors the Brotherhood’s talking points—demonizing Israel, defending radical regimes, and dismissing the dangers of Islamist ideology.

America deserves leaders who will defend its ideals, not tear them down.

We cannot afford to ignore the threat posed when elected officials echo the worldview of groups that have spent decades sowing violence and hatred.

Omar’s behavior proves that the Muslim Brotherhood’s ideology is alive inside the halls of Congress. That should alarm every American who values freedom, security, and justice.

If Trump wants to ensure that tragedies like the assassination of Charlie Kirk are never celebrated or minimized by public officials, he must act.

Declaring the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization is not just a foreign policy necessity—it is a moral imperative. Ilhan Omar’s record shows exactly why.
