When a teacher openly justifies the assassination of a political figure, the last thing a school district should do is look the other way. 

Yet that is precisely what has happened at Oak Forest High School in Oak Forest, Illinois. 

Laurie Arndt-Genardo, a teacher at the school, made shocking remarks after Charlie Kirk’s killing, calling it “mind-blowing irony” and the “single best example of you reap what you sow.”

Instead of condemning violence, she celebrated it. And she still holds her position.

Parents are now outraged—and rightly so. 

Schools are supposed to be places where young people are taught to respect democracy, engage in civil debate, and value human dignity. 

When a teacher excuses murder, she is not simply expressing an opinion. She is legitimizing violence as a political tool. 

Students are impressionable, and the classroom carries authority. How many children has Laurie Arndt-Genardo already influenced with this toxic worldview? 

How many students will walk away believing that silencing opponents through violence is justified?

The district’s silence only deepens the outrage. Instead of taking immediate disciplinary action, Oak Forest High School and its leadership appear content to sweep this incident under the rug. 

 

Superintendent Brad Sikora has so far failed to hold Arndt-Genardo accountable, leaving parents to wonder what values the school system is really promoting. 

Transparency is not optional here—it is the bare minimum expected from public institutions funded by taxpayer dollars.

Imagine if the roles were reversed. If a teacher had justified the murder of a progressive activist, there would be national headlines, emergency school board meetings, and immediate termination. 

Why should different rules apply simply because the victim was a conservative? 

Public schools must be consistent: violence is never acceptable, no matter the politics of the person targeted.

This is bigger than one teacher. 

It speaks to a culture within certain schools that tolerates, or even encourages, the demonization of political opponents. 

That culture erodes trust between parents and educators, divides communities, and fosters hostility instead of dialogue. 

Parents send their children to school expecting education, not indoctrination. 

They should not have to worry that the person in front of the classroom is normalizing political violence.

Parents and community members are now demanding accountability. They are urging fellow citizens to contact Oak Forest High School’s administration directly. 

The main office can be reached at 708-687-0500, and Superintendent Sikora is the one who must answer for why this teacher still has a job.

The bottom line is simple: justifying murder should disqualify anyone from teaching young people. 

Until Oak Forest takes action, the district is complicit in allowing political violence to be celebrated inside its classrooms.

Bill Maher broke his silence on the Jimmy Kimmel controversy during the latest episode of Real Time this Friday.

Maher called Kimmel a friend and said he hopes he gets his show back, but he also couldn’t ignore what he saw as a glaring flaw in the comments that landed Kimmel in hot water.

Kimmel had said on Monday that the MAGA crowd was desperately trying to score “political points” from Charlie Kirk’s death by “trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than ONE OF THEM.”

It was a claim that poured gasoline on the grief of Kirk’s supporters, essentially blaming them for his death.

“Jimmy, look,” Maher replied. “I don’t think what he said was exactly right… He said the MAGA crowd was trying to characterize the assassin as anything but one of them because the guy’s family was MAGA.”

Then came the punch line:

“As if a 22-year-old with a trans girlfriend never rebelled against their family,” Maher said, waving his arms in disbelief that Kimmel missed something so obvious.

Later in the show, Maher turned to Charlie Kirk’s own words on “hate speech,” reading them with a sense of awe and declaring that he fully agreed.

Maher argued that liberals were the first to make it a thought crime, and now Republicans need to stop going down the same path by trying to curb “hate speech,” too.

Kirk’s quote read: “Hate speech does not exist legally in America. There’s ugly speech, there’s gross speech, there’s evil speech, and all of it is protected by the First Amendment. Keep America free.”

The audience ended up loving this quote as much as Maher did.

Maher also took aim at MSNBC pundit Matthew Dowd, who had been fired after essentially blaming Kirk’s death on himself.

MATTHEW DOWD: “You can’t be saying these awful words and then not expect awful actions to take place.”

MAHER: “Yes, you can! I do not expect awful actions to take place. I think this is awful. When you open this window, like, ‘I didn’t like what he said, and what he said was vile, and this and that.’ Irrelevant! Irrelevant. We don’t shoot people in this country, and we don’t defend it, and we don’t mock their death.”

But the part of the week that seemed to bother Maher most was Hollywood’s radio silence about Kirk’s death at the Emmys, just four days after the assassination.

Maher called out the utter hypocrisy:

“Would it have killed someone to get up there, since they all want to talk about their politics… just to say we had a political assassination this week and that’s wrong? They would have been booed off the stage because he was on the wrong team. So you’re not even allowed to say that. Could you imagine if a left-wing person was assassinated that week? The whole show would have been about that.”

This diatribe prompted MSNBC’s Alex Wagner to audibly scoff.

But Maher urged her to admit what she knew deep down was true.

Maher’s commentary laid out a hard lesson Democrats should heed: celebrating death, blaming the victim, and ignoring a person’s existence just four days after a political assassination shows you care more about politics than human life.

It’s a chilling reality many Americans are waking up to, which is why social media is overflowing with posts from former liberals walking away from the Democratic Party.

They don’t want to be tied to something so “disgusting, truly.” And honestly, can you blame them?

Absolute chaos erupted at a school board meeting in Maine earlier this week, nearly resulting in an attendee and a board member coming to blows over comments made by a teacher about Charlie Kirk.

As The Daily Mail reported, a social media personality named Tim Bodnar, who uses the profile @TruthSlingerX on X, attended a Regional School Unit 67 meeting in Lincoln on Wednesday night to voice his anger over an unknown teacher placed on leave last week over comments they made about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. He views the punishment as too soft.

During the meeting, Bodnar began ripping the teacher by name and slamming the board for not taking action.

Board Chair Dianne Buck then repeatedly struck her gavel and called for order.

“You can bang that all you want, lady,” Bodnar retorted.

After a recess, Bodnar started his rant again with the audience on his side.

“I demand counseling for the kids who were hurt by Charlie Kirk’s death that (the teacher) dissed,” he said.

“He can have free speech, he just can’t have a job on taxpayer money!” he continued, as the audience applauded.

Then the meeting took an even more heated turn when board member Andrew Funaro jumped in.

BODNAR: You are a foul, evil woman! You’re a coward!

FUNARO: Hey, hey! You want to talk to me! Don’t you insult that woman!

BODNAR: Why not?

FUNARO: Because she’s doing the best she can, and you don’t know what we think. We haven’t made a decision yet.

BODNAR: She’s not doing the best she can.

FUNARO: You don’t know what we think. We haven’t made a decision yet!

BODNAR: You should have made a decision when you found out! When did you know?

FUNARO: On Friday. We’re taking it, we’re doing the best we can.

BODNAR: You’re too slow! The world is moving way too fast for you, old man!

The board then went into recess. When it resumed, Bodnar filmed Funaro in front of him. Funaro responded by getting physical and slapping the phone from Bodnar’s hand.

Funaro then lunged at Bodnar, acting like he was going to hit him. Fortunately, police intervened and broke up the scuffle.

On Friday, Bodnar announced he had filed charges against Funaro for assault and battery.

One of the most stunning aspects of the assassination of Charlie Kirk has been the trend of people on the left offering vile comments about Kirk. Even more amazing, is that many of those people were teachers, who have now been suspended or fired.

It’s absolutely indefensible, unless you’re the far left head of the largest teacher union in the country. Randi Weingarten is actually sticking up for these people, because of course she is.

People who make comments like that after a political assassination probably shouldn’t be working with kids. How does she not understand this?

Randi Weingarten Gripes About ‘Targeting’ of Teachers Who Celebrated Horrific Assassination of Charlie Kirk

The head of one of the nation’s largest teachers unions is whining about the “targeting” of teachers who are facing consequences for celebrating the brutal assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

President of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) Randi Weingarten put out a press release on Thursday arguing that public schools teachers — individuals who are charged with influencing young minds and whose salaries are paid for by taxpayers — should not be fired “for their opinions” praising a political assassination. She also ironically called for finding ways to “de-escalate” despite promoting her book just days after 31-year-old Kirk’s assassination, in which she compares conservatives to “fascists,” “authoritarians,” and “Nazis.”

“Acts of violence and hate must be condemned, always. They are antithetical to democracy and the values we try to instill as teachers. Last week, anyone with a social media feed — including children — witnessed a devastating tragedy, a horrific act of political violence, that has traumatized the nation. Since then, teachers and many others we represent across the country have tried to deal with the effects of that trauma as it is playing out in classrooms, campuses, caregiving sites, and other settings,” she said.

Randi Weingarten is a walking argument for home schooling, whether she realizes it or not.

The congressional candidate who went viral for getting wrecked by an ICE agent during a protest in Illinois is speaking out in more detail about the incident, and not making things better for herself.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Katherine Abughazaleh, who is running for Congress in Illinois’s 9th Congressional District, joined other anti-ICE protesters in Broadview on Friday to block a processing facility used by the agency.

Abughazaleh later decided to mess around with ICE. As the video below shows, the Illinois Democrat decides to rush right in front of an ICE vehicle in an attempt to prevent it from.

But one brave ICE agent springs into action and promptly takes care of Abughazaleh. He is seen forcibly dragging her away and proceeds to body slam her onto the ground.

She ends up landing hard on her rear. Ouch.

Abughazaleh later revealed to a reporter the extent of her injuries from the body slam.

It turns out she’s bruised on the right side and has other ‘minor’ wounds. Moreover, she was tossed to the ground again earlier in the day.

So, the most significant injury she suffered was probably to her own ego.

Abughazaleh also went on X and proclaimed that conservatives were calling for her arrest because she is the only candidate in her race who will stand up to Trump and ICE.

Has anyone ever heard of this woman before this incident or know anything about her opponents?

“Right-wingers are calling for my arrest,” Abughazaleh wrote. “You know why? Because they know I’m the only candidate in my race who will actually stand up to ICE and Trump. And they’re right.”

Conservatives responded to this with the equivalent of hysterical laughter and made clear that the reason they were calling for her to be held accountable.
