We don’t hear a lot of news about Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and that’s a shame, because he is a very smart man.

This week, he is at the World Economic Forum and in one set of remarks at the event, he explained to the other attendees how globalization has failed the west and America.

He also included a pointed warning to other countries that they should be adopting an ‘America First’ type of policy for their own people.

This is really outstanding.

HOWARD LUTNICK: Well, I think you should start at a much higher level.

Okay. We are in Davos, at the World Economic Forum, and the Trump administration—and myself—we are here to make a very clear point.

Globalization has failed the West and the United States of America. It’s a failed policy. It is what the WEF has stood for, which is export offshore, far-shore, find the cheapest labor in the world and the world is a better place for it.

The fact is, it has left America behind. It has left the American worker behind. And what we are here to say is that America First is a different model—one that we encourage other countries to consider—which is that our workers come first. We can have policies that impact our workers.

Sovereignty is your borders. You’re entitled to have borders. You shouldn’t offshore your medicine. You shouldn’t offshore your semiconductors. You shouldn’t offshore your entire industrial base and have it be hollowed out beneath you.

You should not be dependent for that which is fundamental to your sovereignty on any other nation. And if you’re going to be dependent on someone, it darn well better be your best allies.

Okay? And so that is a different way of thinking. It is completely different than the WEF.

I view the WEF as not a flagpole in the middle, but in fact they are the flag—whichever way the wind blew.

So with blue, you should have solar, you should have wind. Why are you going to do solar and wind? Why would Europe agree to be net zero in 2030 when they don’t make a battery? They don’t make a battery.

So if they go 2030, they are deciding to be subservient to China, who makes the batteries. Why would you do that?

Over 60 heads of state gathered at Davos 2026 under the theme of A Spirit of Dialogue.

“This week, hundreds of top political leaders from around the world, including close to 65 heads of state and government, are gathering in Davos, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting 2026,” the World Economic Forum said.

“The world leaders are meeting against the most complex geopolitical backdrop in decades, with rising fragmentation and rapid technological change transforming the global economy,” WEF said.

“Participants include several G7 leaders as well as numerous heads of states from G20 economies and BRICS countries. The leaders are gathering alongside nearly 850 of the world’s top CEOs and chairs,” WEF said.

O’Keefe wore a blonde wig to conceal his identity as he waded through a sea of WEF insiders discussing carbon taxes, chemtrails and weather modification.

WEF insider Emil Luth who worked with DARPA discussed hidden plans about “artificial rain.”

The President and CEO at 4AIR said there is a “pretty cheap way to cool down the earth.”

“The ability to put sulfur dioxide up there is pretty cheap way to cool down the earth,” he said. “The closest one I’m aware of is called Airborne Snow Observatory. They do some more like, weather, I don’t want to say modification, but more like upper atmosphere weather monitoring is probably a better term.”

Sara Lemniei, CEO of SLK Capital, boasted about being one of the largest climate tax innovators for the UK government.

“We are looking at some carbon credits and renewable energy in the compliance markets,” she told the OMG journalist. “We are looking at CBAM [Carbon Border Adjustments] which is one of the new regulations where companies are exporting to Europe.”

Other WEF insiders discussed chemtrails.

President Donald Trump is once again living rent-free in the Left’s head and this time, it’s over a blistering, no-holds-barred letter that reads like pure, vintage Trump.

Trump reached out to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, floating, without apology, his long-standing view that Greenland is of strategic importance to the United States and blasting the global elite over a political snub by the Nobel Peace Prize committee.

In the letter, Trump pulls no punches:

“Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace…

Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a ‘right of ownership’ anyway? There are no written documents…

I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States.

The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland.

Trump has long argued that Europe freeloads off American defense spending through NATO, and that Arctic security is becoming a flashpoint as Russia and China expand their reach. Instead of polite diplomatic platitudes, Trump says the quiet part out loud and and the left loses its mind.

Cue the predictable freakout.

On MSNBC, host Lawrence O’Donnell declared that the letter revealed not Trump’s foreign policy instincts, but what he called “more evidence of cognitive decline.” 

O’Donnell went further, claiming Trump may not understand that Denmark and Norway are separate nations. To reinforce the narrative, O’Donnell cited Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, who dismissed the episode as “too stupid even for him.”

According to O’Donnell, Trump’s comments fit what he described as a long-standing pattern of ignorance about world affairs, concluding that Trump’s mind is “increasingly shattered.”

Amid sky high tensions with globalist Eurocrats over Greenland, the Trump administration has begun a quiet but consequential rollback of America’s military footprint inside NATO, signaling a broader rethinking of Washington’s long-standing role as Europe’s sole security guarantor.

The move comes amid rapidly escalating tensions with western EU ‘allies’ (i.e. liberal globalists who’ve attempted to sabotage Trump at every step of his presidency) over Greenland, defense spending, and what President Trump increasingly views as a one-sided alliance.

According to a report from The Washington Post, which cites multiple officials, the Pentagon is preparing to eliminate roughly 200 American military positions embedded within NATO command and advisory bodies. These personnel cuts will affect several of the alliance’s most influential planning centers, including intelligence, special operations, and maritime command structures.

The reductions will be carried out primarily by declining to replace American officers as their assignments end, rather than through abrupt withdrawals. While modest in raw numbers, the cuts will significantly reduce America’s role inside NATO’s decision-making architecture.

Among the entities impacted are the NATO Intelligence Fusion Centre in the United Kingdom, the Allied Special Operations Forces Command in Brussels, and STRIKFORNATO in Portugal, which coordinates maritime operations. In total, roughly half of the American personnel assigned to these bodies will be removed.

American force posture in Europe will technically remain near 80,000 troops, just above the threshold that would require congressional approval for deeper reductions.

The move, for the Trump administration, reflects a long-standing argument: Europe must take responsibility for its own defense, and if it doesn’t, it ought to stop lecturing America or acting like a global player.

Pentagon officials allegedly have privately told European diplomats that America expects Europe to assume the bulk of conventional defense capabilities—intelligence, missile defense, and logistics—by 2027, a timeline many European leaders admit is unrealistic.

The personnel cuts also align with a newly released American National Security Strategy (NSS) that prioritizes the Western Hemisphere over Europe. The document explicitly calls for reallocating American military resources closer to home, where border security, cartel violence, and hemispheric stability now dominate strategic thinking.

Underlying the shift is Trump’s growing skepticism of NATO itself. This week, the president reshared a message on social media labeling NATO a threat to American interests while dismissing China and Russia as exaggerated “boogeymen,” a sentiment that has predictably enraged European officials.

The timing is, of course, not a coincidence. The drawdown follows an intensifying dispute over Greenland, which Trump has openly described as vital to American national security. European governments, particularly Denmark, have reacted with fury to the Trump administration’s renewed push to acquire the Arctic territory.

Trump has framed Greenland as a strategic necessity in an era of Great Power Politics and expanding Russian and Chinese activity in the Arctic. From the administration’s perspective, Europe’s refusal to engage seriously has only reinforced the belief that NATO allies prioritize symbolism over security.

Over the weekend, Trump upped the ante even further by announcing new tariffs on several NATO countries—set to begin in February and rise sharply by June—explicitly linking them to Western Europe’s position over Greenland. EU officials are now openly discussing retaliatory trade measures.

One NATO official attempted to downplay the significance of the cuts, saying, “NATO and U.S. authorities are in close contact about our overall posture – to ensure NATO retains our robust capacity to deter and defend.”

What alarms European capitals most is not the number of troops involved, but the symbolism. For the first time in decades, Washington is acting on the premise that NATO is optional, not sacred.

Early on Tuesday Morning, President Trump shared a screenshot of a text he received from NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte after announcing he had spoken with him and plans to meet with him at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. 

Trump also shared screenshots of texts French President Emanuel Macron sent, pandering and offering Trump a meeting and dinner in Paris on Thursday. This comes after Macron threatened last week to defend Denmark and Greenland from Trump’s attempted acquisition.

Other European countries have expressed plans to support Denmark’s defense of Greenland, both through military force and by seeking a middle ground with the Trump Administration to prevent the United States from buying the island.

As The Gateway Pundit reported on Saturday, President Trump slapped Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland with 10% tariffs, effective February 1, in response to troop movements to defend Greenland from US forces.

“China and Russia want Greenland, and there is not a thing that Denmark can do about it. They currently have two dogsleds as protection, one added recently. Only the United States of America, under PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP, can play in this game, and very successfully, at that! Nobody will touch this sacred piece of Land, especially since the National Security of the United States, and the World at large, is at stake,” Trump said.

The 10% tariff will increase to 25% on June 1, and will be “due and payable until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland,” Trump said.

Trump later shared a text he received from Rutte, where the Secretary General praised his efforts to successfully stop a prison break in Syria and expressed a commitment to "finding a way forward on Greenland."

The text reads,

Mr. President, dear Donald - what you accomplished in Syria today is incredible. I will use my media engagements in Davos to highlight your work there, in Gaza, and in Ukraine. I am committed to finding a way forward on Greenland. Can't wait to see you. Yours, Mark

Trump posted the message on Truth Social, commenting, "Thank you to Mark Rutte, the Secretary General of NATO!"
