A DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in St. Paul, Minnesota, canceled room reservations for ICE agents and booted them from their rooms on Sunday.

Riots erupted after thousands of federal agents were deployed to Minnesota to arrest illegal alien criminals.

Leftists have stormed hotels to intimidate ICE agents after hotel workers leaked personal information to online forums.

On Sunday, Hilton Hotels once again canceled reservations and kicked out ICE agents.

The hotel slipped a letter underneath the door and informed ICE agents that, due to ‘heightened public safety concerns in St. Paul, their reservations were canceled.

NewsNation reporter Ali Bradley said all government employees had to leave by noon Sunday, but other guests were allowed to stay through their reservation.

“Due to heightened public safety concerns in St. Paul, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our hotel, and your reservation will be canceled effective Sunday, January 18, 2026, by 12 PM,” the letter said.

Federal agents were told that the DoubleTree would help them find new accommodations.

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin also obtained the notice to ICE agents.

The DoubleTree in St. Paul will “temporarily close” due to threats from leftists.

“An agent who talked to the front desk manager there says he was told it was done to protect staff because they have been getting threats from unknown individuals for lodging DHS agents,
Bill Melugin said.

Hilton Hotels faced major backlash earlier this month after canceling reservations for DHS agents in Minneapolis.

“When officers attempted to book rooms using official government emails and rates, Hilton Hotels maliciously cancelled their reservations,” DHS said earlier this month.

Hilton backtracked, saying it would drop the Minneapolis Hampton Hotel over the incident.

Kiev has started suffering like the frontlines.

As the Russia-Ukraine war nears its fourth year, we’ve come to the point where Moscow forces’ combined missile-drone strikes have degraded enemy power generation and electrical grids so much that they can’t get it fixed before a new wave of attacks hits.

The result is that even the capital Kiev is going through a grueling winter in the cold and dark.

And that is not information from military Telegram channels or analysts: the mayor of the capital is stating this to whoever will hear him.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the capital is facing its most severe energy crisis since the start of the war due to Russian attacks on infrastructure.

“Ukraine’s capital Kiev has only about half the electricity that it needs as it faces its most severe wartime energy crisis following waves of Russian attacks on its infrastructure, mayor Vitali Klitschko told Reuters on Friday.

Kiev, one of Eastern Europe’s largest cities, requires 1,700 megawatts of electricity to power the services for its 3.6 million people, Klitschko said.”

Ukraine’s top energy expert Oleksandr Kharchenko, commenting after the Kyiv mayor urged people to leave the city:

“Leave Kyiv if you’ve already had no heating for a week.

Because in the near future, most likely, there won’t be any.”

“Klitschko said the current energy crisis was the most difficult challenge facing the capital in the nearly four years since Russia’s invasion in February 2022. ‘It’s the first time in the history of our city that, in such severe frosts, most of the city was left without heating and with a huge shortage of electricity’, Klitschko, a former world heavyweight boxing champion, said in an interview in his office at the heart of Kiev.”

18 to 20 hours a day without electricity has become the norm.

This week, Nighttime temperatures in Kiev have dropped to -17 Celsius (1 Fahrenheit).

“Klitschko reiterated his call for Kiev residents to leave the city if they have the opportunity to do so to ease the pressure on its infrastructure.”

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, during a Sunday appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press, ran laps around host Kristen Welker and schooled her on hostile questions about the United States’ pursuit of Greenland. 

As The Gateway Pundit reported on Saturday, President Trump slapped Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland with 10% tariffs, effective February 1, in response to troop movements to defend NATO from US forces.

“China and Russia want Greenland, and there is not a thing that Denmark can do about it. They currently have two dogsleds as protection, one added recently. Only the United States of America, under PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP, can play in this game, and very successfully, at that! Nobody will touch this sacred piece of Land, especially since the National Security of the United States, and the World at large, is at stake,” Trump said.

The 10% tariff will increase to 25% on June 1, and will be “due and payable until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland,” Trump said.

The President has also President suggested he might withdraw the US from the NATO alliance, telling reporters, "I’m the one that saved NATO. You wouldn’t have NATO if I weren’t President."

"I just wonder whether or not, if we needed NATO, would they be there for us? I’m not sure they would," Trump continued. "They need us much more than we need them."

When pressed on the NATO alliance, Bessent dropped the mic, calling out her dishonest question, then laying out the facts about US NATO spending and NATO allies' dependence on the US.

"The European leaders will come around, and they will understand that they need to be under the US security umbrella," he told her after she advocated for European countries over US interests.

"Since 1980, the US has spent— US military spending versus NATO military spending— we have spent 22 trillion more dollars than the Europeans have," he added, noting that NATO is "only trying to play catch-up."

Bessent: Denmark has a terrible history with Greenlanders. There was forced sterilizations up until the 80s or the 90s. So all of a sudden, now that the US has expressed an interest, there is this new interest, and again, the United States needs to be in control to prevent a war, and we do not want to get dragged into someone else's war.

Welker: Well, this is about the United States’ relationship with its allies. NATO Allies, again, reacting with alarm. They're warning that this move to annex Greenland could, in fact, destroy NATO. So let me just put this to you bluntly, is Greenland or NATO more essential to the United States national security?

Bessent: Well, Kristen, that's obviously a false choice.

Welker: Not from the perspective of European leaders.

Bessent: The European leaders will come around, and they will understand that they need to be under the US security umbrella. What would happen in Ukraine if the US pulled its support out? The whole thing would collapse. The US, Kristen, to be clear, since 1980, the US has spent— US military spending versus NATO military spending— we have spent 22 trillion more dollars than the Europeans have. We are peace through strength, and the Europeans, now, are only trying to play catch up, and that is only through President Trump. President Trump believes in NATO, but he does not believe in the American people being dragged in.

In another segment of the interview, Bessent schooled Welker on the necessity of preventing adversaries from taking over Greenland, when she suggested that the NATO tariffs, which are a tool for negotiating a deal for the acquisition of Greenland, would "undercut the United States' word."

Welker: I hear you saying that the deal hasn't been finalized, and yet it was moving toward finalization. Doesn't it undercut the United States' word by threatening these steep new tariffs?

Bessent: I think it does not. What it does is it enhances United States Security. And again, we have seen the Europeans are unable to push back against Russia. The US is— this war that never would have started in Ukraine, Kristen, we are going to settle it, but it wouldn't have started, and what President Trump is trying to do is prevent a taking or the Russia and Chinese action in Greenland in the future. So, why not be strategic? Why always live in the moment?

Welker also tried to imply that there is no national emergency over a future threat to the US homeland when Bessent described the move as a "strategic decision" to avoid war.

"What if, during the great financial crisis, someone had raised their hand in 2005, 2006, and said, Stop with subprime mortgages?" Bessent said. "But no one did. President Trump is raising his hand, and that is preventing the emergency."

Welker: What is the national emergency that justifies this new slate of tariffs?

Bessent: The National Emergency is avoiding a national emergency. It is a strategic decision by the President. This is a geopolitical decision, and he is able to use the economic might of the US to avoid a hot war. So why wouldn’t— why would we do that? You know, the same thing, what if we had a national emergency coming with these gigantic trade balances that we had with the rest of the world. I've been in financial markets for 30/45, years— much better to be strategic, avoid the emergency.

Welker: You're saying it's a national emergency, but you're also saying it's a threat that's years away. How can both be true, Mr. Secretary?

Bessent: Because we're avoiding creating the emergency. Kristen. What if, during the great financial crisis, someone had raised their hand in 2005, 2006 and said, stop with subprime mortgages? But no one did. President Trump is raising his hand and that is preventing the emergency.

Hood County, Texas, took a decisive step to ensure the legacy of Charlie Kirk will not fade with time.

On Jan. 13, the Hood County Commissioners Court voted to rename a portion of Williamson Road in his honor, KDFW reported.

The roadway will now be known as Charlie Kirk Memorial Parkway.

The stretch of road is located south of Granbury, which is roughly 44 miles southwest of Fort Worth.

County officials approved a formal proclamation recognizing Kirk’s life and influence this past week.

That proclamation cited his “unwavering commitment to the ideals that define the American spirit.”

Commissioners also pointed to his Christian faith and leadership in the conservative movement.

Kirk was best known as the founder of Turning Point USA, an organization that gave a voice to many young Americans and reached countless others.

His life was cut short by an assassin’s bullet on Sept. 10 of last year.

The 31-year-old father of two was fatally shot while engaging in a conversation with some who held a different opinion on transgenderism at a college campus in Utah.

Leaders in Hood County said the decision to rename the road will ensure his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.

A formal dedication ceremony is scheduled for Feb. 21.

But Hood County officials made clear that this memorial is about more than a name on a sign.

It is about recognizing a man who believed deeply in his principles and lived them publicly, ultimately dying for them the same way.

Drivers in Hood County will now see Kirk’s name daily.

In a country that is increasingly divided, Kirk consistently encouraged dialogue between the left and the right as he promoted the values of family, faith, and patriotism.

He believed debate was not something to fear, but something to engage.

His voice is now gone, and it is missed. Still, reminders like this parkway help preserve what he stood for.

Perhaps a child in the not-so-distant future will be riding the bus to school or heading to practice and will notice the sign.

Maybe that name will spark curiosity, and it will motivate that child to stand up for what they believe.

By honoring Charlie Kirk with such a grand gesture, Hood County has ensured that his name, his convictions, and his impact will endure for generations to come.
