National Guard troops have been spotted rolling through Minneapolis in Humvees as the chaos and rioting continue over ICE raids. 

President Trump has repeatedly threatened to invoke the insurrection act, stating on Thursday, “If the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don’t obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the Patriots of I.C.E., who are only trying to do their job, I will institute the INSURRECTION ACT, which many Presidents have done before me, and quickly put an end to the travesty that is taking place in that once great State.”

Trump also previously said he plans to send National Guard troops back into California, Chicago, and Portland, and to invoke the Insurrection Act if necessary.

While departing the White House on Friday, Trump told reporters that he is ready to use the Insurrection Act if necessary, calling it a “very powerful” tool.

However, he said, “I don’t think there’s any reason right now to use it.”

Trump: Well, the Insurrection Act, which has been used by 48% of the Presidents, as of this moment— the Insurrection Act, also, if you look at it, I believe it was Bush, the elder Bush, he used it, I think, 28 times. It’s been used a lot. And if I needed it, I’d use it. I don’t think there’s any reason right now to use it, but if I needed it, I’d use it. It’s very powerful.

Still, Maj. General Shawn Manke, the Minnesota National Guard Adjutant General, announced during a press conference later on Friday, “We are mobilizing elements of our National Guard to support local law enforcement.”

This comes amid the chaos following the shooting death of Renee Good, a deranged leftist who attempted to run down an ICE agent in her vehicle. An ICE agent later shot a shovel-wielding Venezuelan illegal alien in self-defense, sparking more outrage from pro-criminal leftists.

Rioters, urged by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, have clashed with law enforcement repeatedly and vandalized, destroyed, and stolen federal property.

PETA is up to its same old tricks, once again making questionable claims and repackaging other groups’ work as its own.

On Friday, the liberal animal rights group published a new webpage stating, “Your Tax Dollars Fund Russian Experiments on Cats—Tell NIH No More!” and posted on social media that, “a foreign experimenter funded by the U.S. government, is mutilating…cats in Russia.”

The problem is that PETA’s claim seems to be false.

The NIH hasn’t funded these cat experiments in Russia for three years since the conservative watchdog group White Coat Waste first exposed and cut the funding.

WCW’s Senior Vice President Justin Goodman quickly jumped in on PETA’s social media posts to set the record straight.

Back in early 2022, WCW obtained records showing how the NIH was funding cat experiments at the Russian-government-tied Pavlov Institute of Physiology.

The group then led a grassroots campaign and lobbying effort that attracted support from both Republican and Democrat members of Congress.

WCW’s efforts, with people like GOP Conference Chair Rep. Lisa McClain and Senator Joni Ernst, ultimately led to the funding for those cat experiments and all other animal testing in Russia to be cut in 2023.

Since then, all Russian animal labs have been ineligible to receive any NIH funding, directly or indirectly.

PETA’s misleading new webpage claiming that “your tax dollars fund Russian experiments on cats” appears to be based on two 2025 research papers that actually say they used old data collected years earlier, before the NIH funding was cut.

The recent publications PETA is relying on also reference grant funding for cat experiments in Russia that WCW already led a successful campaign to cut back in 2023. The most recent version of the relevant NIH grant documents, obtained by WCW under the Freedom of Information Act, does not mention funding cat experiments in Russia or anywhere else, nor do federal funding databases.

PETA’s new campaign appears to be based on sloppy research at best, and a blatant lie at worst.

This isn’t the first time PETA spread fake news and tried to take credit for WCW’s work.

Last year, Gateway Pundit reported how in a now-deleted X post from November 2021, PETA wrote “Trump did nothing to stop animal experimentation.” This statement came after the first Trump Administration took historic steps to eliminate some of the government’s worst animal testing with the help of WCW.

In May, independent journalist Laura Loomer posted a viral tweet showing that PETA was taking credit for WCW’s victory at shutting down the NIH’s last in-house beagle testing lab.

As Gateway reported, PETA attempted to criticize WCW this past fall in a New Yorker article, stating, “White Coat Waste has young-male-testosterone energy, and it seems like they attack all the other groups for fundraising purposes.”

Goodman responded at the time by telling The Gateway Pundit:

We’ll never apologize for aggressively fighting to save animals from government abuse and to hold federal bureaucrats accountable for lying to taxpayers and wasting animals’ lives and taxpayers’ money. PETA hates us because they ain’t us.”

Canada flexing their ‘military muscles’ sounds like a dangerous proposition – for them.

And so, we’ve come to the point where Liberal Canada is showing its true colors, and its Prime Minister went to China to find a ‘reliable’ partner away from the US – good luck with that! <insert palm face emoji>

But what has been hidden away from the headlines was a much graver statement by Mark Carney: the suggestion that Canadians ‘are ready’ to defend Greenland against the US.

“We are NATO partners with Denmark, and our full-fledged alliance remains in force. Our obligations under Article 5 and Article 2 of the North Atlantic Treaty are unchanged, and we firmly and unconditionally support them.”

Carney inserted himself in the Greenland controversy by ‘warning’ that Greenland’s future will not be decided by U.S. President Donald J. Trump.

Politico reported:

“’The future of Greenland is a decision for Greenland and for the Kingdom of Denmark’, Carney told journalists at a press conference in Beijing following talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Carney urged NATO allies including the U.S. to ‘respect their commitments’ as he stressed Canada’s support for Danish sovereignty over the strategically vital Arctic island, which Trump has threatened to seize.”

When Carney says that the full NATO partnership with Denmark stands, and that he is ready to fulfil his obligations under Article 5, he is saying that Canada will stand militarily against the US.

That is hard to believe, of course, but it’s a very effective way of burying the bilateral relations with Washington, now that Carney is all about China.

“Carney said Greenland and Arctic sovereignty also featured in his discussions with Xi, adding that he ‘found much alignment of views in that regard’.”

Talk about showing his true colors.

President Trump on Saturday issued an ultimatum to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland, declaring that 10% tariffs will take effect on February 1 if they continue plotting against Trump’s efforts to acquire Greenland from Denmark. 

“China and Russia want Greenland, and there is not a thing that Denmark can do about it. They currently have two dogsleds as protection, one added recently. Only the United States of America, under PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP, can play in this game, and very successfully, at that! Nobody will touch this sacred piece of Land, especially since the National Security of the United States, and the World at large, is at stake,” Trump said.

“Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, and Finland have journeyed to Greenland, for purposes unknown. This is a very dangerous situation for the Safety, Security, and Survival of our Planet. These Countries, who are playing this very dangerous game, have put a level of risk in play that is not tenable or sustainable.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, European countries plan to support Denmark’s defense of the Island, both through military force and attempts to find a middle ground with the Trump Administration to prevent Russia or China from taking over.

However, Trump dismissed both possibilities last Sunday, telling reporters that he doesn’t care about NATO. “You wouldn’t have NATO if I weren’t President,” and “if it affects NATO, then it affects NATO,” Trump said.

“You know, they need us much more than we need them.”

“We’re talking about acquiring, not leasing, not having it short-term. We’re talking about acquiring,” he added in response to a question about a potential NATO mission to protect Arctic security in Greenland.

Now, Trump is taking a harder approach, demanding that NATO allies give up the island, calling it “imperative” to global peace and security.

The 10% tariff will increase to 25% on June 1, and will be “due and payable until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland,” Trump said.

“The United States of America is immediately open to negotiation with Denmark and/or any of these Countries that have put so much at risk, despite all that we have done for them, including maximum protection, over so many decades.”

Now, after Centuries, it is time for Denmark to give back — World Peace is at stake! China and Russia want Greenland, and there is not a thing that Denmark can do about it. Hundreds of Billions of Dollars are currently being spent on Security Programs having to do with “The Dome,” including for the possible protection of Canada, and this very brilliant, but highly complex system can only work at its maximum potential and efficiency, because of angles, metes, and bounds, if this Land is included in it. One problem too many for Kiev?

If you look at the surface, Ukraine doesn’t seem to be doing so bad. Leader Volodymyr Zelensky is still cruising the world with the same studied smile and the same defiance.

However, if you look deeper, the full picture of the desperate situation facing the Kiev regime comes into focus.

A non-exhausting list of very grave problems begins with the financial situation, with a humongous hole in the budget, no more US funds and confusing funding promises by the EU: France Is Trying To Keep Ukraine From Buying US Weapons With $100 Billion EU Loan.

Then, of course, there’s the territorial issue: Russian forces are preparing to move on the last bastions in the all-important Donetsk region, the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration. There are also advances in the Zaporozhie region towards the 800,000-dweller capital.

Power and heating are perhaps the most dramatic aspects, as Ukrainians are enduring a Winter in the Cold and Dark, as Relentless Russian Strikes Take Power Generation and Energy Grid to the Brink.

People and human resources are another insolvable problem, dealing with  mass desertions and 2 million draft dodgers.

And don’t even get us started on corruption, with a ‘golden toilet’ scandal still fresh on the country’s memory.

This list, terrifying as it is, is only a tip of the iceberg.

There’s also the present crippling shortage of air defense ammunitions.

Yesterday (16), Zelensky called on the country’s allies yet again to bolster its defense systems to protect its critical energy infrastructure amid ongoing Russian attacks.

Euronews reported:

“Some air defense systems provided by Western allies had run out of ammunition during a critical moment as Russia launched its latest wave of attacks on Ukraine’s civilian and infrastructure targets, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday.

‘Until this morning we had several systems without missiles. Today I can say this openly, because today I have those missiles’, Zelenskyy told reporters on Friday at a press conference in Kiev.”

In Zelenskys’ latest public announcement, he stated that Ukraine lacks air defense missiles.

“In recent months, Russia has intensified its campaign against the country’s energy grid, in an effort to cut off power and heating in the height of winter. Kiev, in particular, has become a primary target.

And that’s without mentioning the new hypersonic Oreshnik missiles, that allegedly can’t be intercepted by any existing air defense system. WATCH:
