Monica Cannon-Grant is a Boston based Black Lives Matter activist who stole more than $100,000 in COVID funds and other financial resources to fund her lavish lifestyle. She was just sentenced to ZERO jail time.

She got six months of home confinement, followed by four years of probation.

Democrats just spent more time than that saying ‘no one is above the law’ over and over and over again. It seems some people are actually above the law.

Former Bostonian of the Year Sentenced for Fraud

The founder and former Chief Executive Officer of a Boston-based nonprofit was sentenced today in federal court in Boston for using thousands of dollars in donations to Violence in Boston (VIB) to pay for personal expenses; defrauding the City of Boston out of COVID-19 relief funds and rental assistance money; defrauding the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office out of Community Reinvestment Grant funds; filing false tax returns; and failing to file tax returns for two years.

Monica Cannon-Grant, 44, of Taunton, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Angel Kelley to four years’ probation, with six months of home detention and 100 hours of community service. She was also ordered to pay restitution of $106,003 as well as forfeiture in an amount to be decided at a later date. The government recommended a sentence of 18 months in prison.

From 2017 through at least 2020, Cannon-Grant represented herself as an uncompensated VIB director to donors and other charitable institutions when, in reality, she and her late husband agreed to utilize their control over VIB’s accounts and funds to pay for personal expenditures through cash withdrawals, cashed checks, wire transfers to personal bank accounts and debit purchases. Cannon-Grant also applied for, and certified the applications for, grants offered by public and private entities that included materially false representations. For example, Cannon-Grant conspired to use VIB to defraud the Boston Resiliency Fund (BRF), a charitable fund established by the City of Boston to provide aid to Boston residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. After receiving approximately $53,977 in pandemic relief funds, Cannon-Grant withdrew approximately $30,000 in cash from the VIB bank account, made deposits of $5,200 and $1,000 into her personal checking account, and made payments on her personal auto loan and car insurance policy. Cannon-Grant did not disclose any of these personal expenses to BRF and, instead, falsely reported to BRF that all of its grant funds had been appropriately expended.

Cannon-Grant also conspired to defraud Boston’s Office of Housing Stability by concealing thousands of dollars of household income in order to obtain $12,600 in rental assistance from the City of Boston. Instead of truthfully reporting accurate information about the family’s earnings and benefits, Cannon-Grant and her late husband misrepresented their actual household income to obtain rent relief funds that were intended to aid Boston residents who were facing housing insecurity.

This is outrageous.

During a new episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan called out the Minneapolis ICE protests, pointing out that they are not organic.

He goes into detail about the obnoxious behavior of the so-called protesters and notes the way that they’ve tried to doxx ICE agents.

Most people seem to know that what we’re seeing in Minneapolis is panic. The left knows that removing illegals hurts Democrats and they’re desperate.

JOE ROGAN, HOST: I’m glad you’re a gun guy, because I wanted to bring up this whole thing with this guy, Pretti. And I haven’t talked about it. We haven’t done a podcast since that guy got killed. But that whole thing, there’s a lot of people that don’t understand what’s going on, and why riots only in Minneapolis, and why riots in the place where there’s an ungodly amount of fraud that has been discovered.

ANDREW WILSON, THE CRUCIBLE: Coincidentally, right around the same time.

ROGAN: Exactly. Like, instantaneously afterwards, the narrative completely changes. Everybody forgets about the fraud. Now, all anybody cares about is ICE, and fascists, and Nazis. And you know what a color revolution is?

WILSON: Of course.

ROGAN: And for people that don’t, it’s a coordinated effort to cause chaos. And this is a very coordinated thing. The idea that this is an organic protest, that these riots are organic, is nonsense. It’s provably nonsense, because now they have access to the Signal chats. So they know that these people…

WILSON: Cam Higby, by the way.

ROGAN: Yes.

WILSON: He’s been on the front lines of this. The Crucible has been a big supporter of that effort, my channel. I will often snipe his coverage while it’s going on, send my audience over to send in super chats in order to keep this guy going. I think that that work is critical.

ROGAN: Yes.

WILSON: It’s critical work. And there’s not that many people doing it anymore because of how dangerous it has become.

ROGAN: Yes.

WILSON: And so I’m a big supporter of that. It doesn’t mean I agree with everything he says politically, but what he’s doing on the ground there needs to happen.

ROGAN: Right. You need to understand that this isn’t organic, regardless of how you feel. I don’t feel like that guy should have been shot, but I understand what happened.

President Trump signed an executive order on Thursday, declaring a national emergency to address the “unusual and extraordinary threat” presented by Cuba’s government. 

“The Government of Cuba has taken extraordinary actions that harm and threaten the United States.  The regime aligns itself with — and provides support for — numerous hostile countries, transnational terrorist groups, and malign actors adverse to the United States, including the Government of the Russian Federation (Russia), the People’s Republic of China (PRC), the Government of Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah,” the order reads.

“For example, Cuba blatantly hosts dangerous adversaries of the United States, inviting them to base sophisticated military and intelligence capabilities in Cuba that directly threaten the national security of the United States.”

The order continues, “Further, contrary to the interests and foreign policy of the United States, the Cuban communist regime supports terrorism and destabilizes the region through migration and violence.  The communist regime persecutes and tortures its political opponents; denies the Cuban people free speech and press; corruptly profits from their misery; and commits other human-rights violations.”

The order further establishes a tariff system, imposing tariffs on any country that provides oil to Cuba.

“Under this system, an additional ad valorem duty may be imposed on imports of goods that are products of a foreign country that directly or indirectly sells or otherwise provides any oil to Cuba,” it reads.

Trump later told reporters at the Trump-Kennedy Center on Thursday evening that the “failing nation” will not survive.

The Trump administration has leveled numerous threats against Cuba, and reports suggest that Cuba could be Trump’s next target for a regime change following the capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro earlier this month.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has suggested that Cuba will face the same fate as Venezuela, saying the Cuban regime is “in a lot of trouble.”

President Trump on Thursday confirmed that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is assisting in the Trump Administration’s investigation into voter fraud in Georgia’s 2020 election. 

Gabbard was present on Wednesday as the FBI executed search warrants at the Fulton County, Georgia Department of Elections, drawing criticism from Democratic lawmakers.

Per PBS, “Sen. Mark Warner and Rep. Jim Himes, the top Democrats on committees overseeing national intelligence, are calling on Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard to brief them on why she was present at an FBI search of an election office in Georgia this week that has been central to conspiracy theories over President Donald Trump’s 2020 election loss.”

The lawmakers described Gabbard’s presence as “deeply concerning” in a letter to Gabbard.

“The Intelligence Community should be focused on foreign threats and, as you yourself have testified, when those intelligence authorities are turned inwards the results can be devastating for Americans privacy and civil liberties,” the letter reads.

Gabbard has also taken the lead on the Russiagate conspiracy investigation, after revealing last July that Barack Obama and his administration orchestrated a “years-long coup and treasonous conspiracy against the American people, our Republic, in an attempt to undermine President Trump’s administration.”

While attending a screening of the new Melania film at the Trump-Kennedy Center, Trump told reporters that Gabbard is “working very hard on trying to keep the elections safe, and she’s done a very good job.”

“You’ve got a signed judge’s order in Georgia, and you’re going to see some interesting things happening,” Trump continued.

“They’ve been trying to get there for a long time.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the FBI executed a search warrant against Fulton County, investigating fraud in the 2020 election.

The warrants were granted for the FBI to seize all physical paper ballots and envelopes, all tabulator tapes for every voting machine used, all ballot images created during the initial count on November 3, 2020, and the following recounts, and the voter rolls used during the 2020 election to issue ballots.
