FBI Director Kash Patel was on “Sunday Morning Futures” to discuss the recent shooting in Minnesota of an anti-ICE agitator who was shot by a Border Patrol agent.

“I know that this is a DHS investigation, but there is outrage across the country that there is another killing,” Bartiromo said.

“What can you tell us?” Bartiromo asked.

FBI Director Patel echoed DHS Secretary Noem in stating that there are consequences for attacking law enforcement.

“Secretary Noem stated it perfectly. You do not get to attack law enforcement officials in this country without any repercussions,” Patel said.

“We’ve already just last night arrested four more individuals involved in the damage of government property that we saw the videos of online,” Patel said.

Director Patel explained that people who make threats, including online threats to law enforcement or to civilians, will be found and arrested.

“We’ve arrested other individuals who have made threats to law enforcement online. So, we are not messing around,” Patel continued.

“It doesn’t have to be in person. If you threaten law enforcement officials or civilians, we are gonna come find you,” Patel declared.

“And as for this latest shooting, yes, DHS and HSI are the lead, and the FBI is processing the physical evidence. So, we are in possession of the firearm, which is gonna go to our laboratory,” Patel explained.

“As Secretary Noem said, no one who wants to be peaceful shows up at a protest with a firearm that is loaded with two full magazines,” Patel said.

“How was he threatening Border Patrol? You’ve collected the evidence, you said, right? You have the handgun in your possession?” Bartiromo asked.

“That’s right,” Patel said.

“How was he using that handgun in terms of threatening Border Patrol? What was the threat? He had his camera, right? He was filming it,” Bartiromo asked.

“That’s something that I would like the DHS and the prosecutors because they are the ones investigating that case,” Patel said.

“I trust the men and women on the ground who are trained professionals to only use it when it is absolutely necessary, and I trust Secretary Noem’s leadership and DHS and HSI to do the right thing as they have always done in these scenarios,” Patel said.

“Was the gun visible? Or did Border Patrol see the gun after they shot him?” Bartiromo asked.

“All of those pieces of the investigation are being led by DHS and HSI and I don’t want to comment on their ongoing investigation,” Patel said.

Bartiromo asked Director Patel about rhetoric that is fueling the violence in places like Minnesota. She showed a clip of Governor Walz two weeks ago telling residents to film federal law enforcement agents in their communities.

“How much of this has to do with some of the rhetoric in your view? Just two weeks ago, the Governor, Tim Walz told residents to get their phones and start filming whatever is happening, and when they see Border Patrol,” Bartiromo said.

“I think that type of rhetoric is exactly what is leading to violence against law enforcement that is totally baseless and unnecessary,” Patel said.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara has said it does not matter if the latest killing of an ICE protester and far-left activist was legally justified.

In an interview with CBS host Margaret Brennan, O’Hara said the death of 37-year-old Alex Pretti was unnecessary because he was merely exercising his Second Amendment rights.

“It appears that he was present, exercising his First Amendment right to record law enforcement activity,” he explained.

“And also exercising his Second Amendment rights to lawfully be armed in a public space in the city,” he continued. “So, I think, very obviously, there are serious questions that are being raised.”

”I think the greater issue is, even if there is an investigation that ultimately proves that at the time of the shooting it was legally justified, I don’t think that even matters at this point because there just is so much outrage and concern around what is happening in the city.”

Footage released after the incident showed that Pretti was attempting to wrestle ICE agents while carrying a loaded firearm.

“The officers attempted to disarm the suspect, but the armed suspect violently resisted. More details on the armed struggle are forthcoming,” the Department of Homeland Security said in a statement after the incident.

“Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots. Medics on scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Meanwhile, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has said he is preparing a “log of evidence” for the” future prosecution of ICE agents and officials responsible for this.

He went on to decry “the horrific cruelty, unprofessional, absolute abomination that is passing for what these ICE agents are doing on our streets.”

Tim Walz tells people to stop referring to ICE as law enforcement.

He wants to make rioters believe they have no authority and thus should be attacked.

He’s directly inciting violence.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez once again attacked Immigration and Customs Enforcement during a CNN appearance on Sunday, labeling the fatal shooting of 37-year-old armed agitator Alex Pretti in Minneapolis as an outright “execution.”

The congresswoman also encouraged protesters to continue on social media, amid escalating chaos and violence in the city.

Speaking to CNN, Ocasio-Cortez said, “There’s a second angle that appears to be circulating much closer to the incident where you see the victim, I believe his name is Alex Pretti and immediately preceding that incident in ICE officer had pushed violently a woman to the ground and he had come over to help get her up. And that is what precipitated this incident. That very quickly led to an execution, a deadly shooting in the street. What we are seeing here is a momentous, pivotal moment for the United States. And I cannot underscore enough how precipitous this moment is.”

The anti-gun Democratic Socialist also suddenly became a defender of the Second Amendment.

“ICE and CBP, what we’re seeing here, we will see, which agencies were responsible but at the end of the day, under this so-called excuse of border security, where Minneapolis is over 300 miles from the United States border, we have an unleashing of federal agents and violence, exerting a tremendous amount of violence and loss of life against the American people who are well within their First Amendment rights. And in this case, it seems as though well within their Second Amendment rights.”

The call to protest came as a deranged protester bit the finger off of a federal agent in Minneapolis, and protesters set up an “autonomous zone.”

Democrat leaders, including Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Governor Tim Walz, have condemned ICE and demanded their removal from the city — but are not stopping the violent agitators.

In a not-so-shocking endorsement of leftwing violence, CNN Host Dana Bash attempted to defend the leftwing terrorist who was shot dead by a border patrol in Minneapolis, describing him as a “victim” during an interview with Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino on Sunday. 

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Border Patrol fatally shot a man during a struggle this morning after the suspect pulled his gun on agents.

“The officers attempted to disarm the suspect but the armed suspect violently resisted. More details on the armed struggle are forthcoming,” the Department of Homeland Security said in a statement.  “Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots. Medics on scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject but was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Bovino told reporters on Saturday that the incident occurred while federal agents were attempting to arrest Jose Huerta Chuma of Ecuador, an illegal alien who had a record of domestic assault to intentionally inflict bodily harm, disorderly conduct, and driving without a valid license.

Alex Jeffrey Pretti appeared to be trying to “do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement” with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun and two fully loaded magazines when he was shot dead, Bovino said.

During Bovino’s appearance on CNN’s State of the Union, Bash was adamant that the Department of Homeland Security was lying, that the suspect was only “trying to help,” and that he was only filming law enforcement, “which is a legal thing to do in the United States of America.”

Bash: What you are saying is that he went there to try to stop this law enforcement operation. All of the video that we have seen shows him documenting it with his cell phone, which is a lawful thing to do, and the only time he seemed to interact with law enforcement is when they went after him, when he was trying to help an individual who law enforcement pushed down. So where do you have the evidence to show that he was trying to impede that that law enforcement operation?

Bovino: Sure, Dana. First, he was there in the scene. He was in the scene actively impeding and assaulting law enforcement to the point—

Bash: But that’s not illegal! He wasn’t— He wasn’t impeding it. He was filming it, which is a legal thing to do in the United States of America.

Bovino: Let’s don’t freeze frame adjudicate this now. He was there for a reason, and that reason was to impede law enforcement to the point—

Bash: What evidence do you have of that?

Bovino: And here’s a good point, Dana, is the fact that de-escalation techniques were utilized during this action. Those de-escalation techniques, whether it was physically trying to remove them from that law enforcement scene, that active law enforcement scene in which law enforcement were going after a violent illegal alien, or the use of pepper spray, which is another de-escalation technique, those techniques did not work.

Later in the interview, Bash accused Bovino of “blaming the victim,” and he fired back, “The victims are the Border Patrol agents. I’m not blaming the Border Patrol agents.”

Bash: With respect, it feels as though, in some ways, you’re blaming the victim here.

Bovino: The victim? The victims are the Border Patrol agents. I’m not blaming the Border Patrol agents. The victim are the Border Patrol agents. The suspect put himself in that situation. The victims are the Border Patrol agents there.

Bovino further confirmed, to Bash’s demise, that the agents would remain on the job with only a temporary break from field duties in Minneapolis, but “they’ll be at a different location.”

Bash: Are the agents who were involved still on the job?

Bovino: Yes, there these border patrol agents are going to, more than likely, be on administrative duty. But they will remain Border Patrol agents.

Bash: What does that mean? So they’ll be off the streets for a bit?

Bovino: In Minneapolis, they will, but only in Minneapolis, here. They’ll, be at a different location.

Amid escalating riots in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has apprehended an individual accused of sabotaging law enforcement vehicles with homemade caltrops.

The sharp, spiked devices are designed to deflate tires and were being used to hinder law enforcement operations.

During the riots, one individual was apprehended for obstructing law enforcement personnel and utilizing caltrops to deflate the tires of law enforcement vehicles.

Upon apprehension, the subject was found in possession of a bag containing several similar devices.

Radical liberals, especially women, have been urging each other to use the devices to hinder ICE operations in viral TikTok videos.

The Department of Homeland Security wrote in a post on Sunday:

During the riots, one individual was apprehended for obstructing law enforcement personnel and utilizing caltrops to deflate the tires of law enforcement vehicles.

Upon apprehension, the subject was found in possession of a bag containing several similar devices.

The subject was arrested.

The post included photos of the suspect and the confiscated items.

The devices were seen in footage broadcast on MS NOW, formerly known as MSNBC, but the network quickly cut away.

An anti-ICE activist in Minneapolis also bit the finger off of a federal agent during the riot on Saturday.
