SHOCKING VIDEO: Federal Officers Attacked and Tackled by Violent Minneapolis Rioters
January 25, 2026

Law enforcement officers apprehend a suspect during a chaotic scene, highlighting tensions in a public protest or conflict situation.

In a shocking video from the ongoing riots in Minneapolis, protesters are seen violently attacking and tackling a federal officer.

The escalating violence follows a fatal shooting on Saturday, where federal agents shot and killed an armed man, 37-year-old Alex Jeffrey Pretti, as he agitated and intervened during an immigration enforcement action.

Thousands of demonstrators took to the streets in the hours after the shooting, and continued into the night and the following day.

Video footage from the scene on Sunday shows masked protesters pummelling and kicking the officers.

WATCH:

The primary attacker appears to have been quickly apprehended by other officers.

Democrats, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, and Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, have encouraged protesters to continue fighting ICE amid escalating tensions.

DHS has repeatedly warned about a surge in violence against its officers, attributing it to “radical rhetoric” from sanctuary politicians.

In a statement earlier this month, DHS reported an unprecedented 1,300% increase in assaults on ICE officers and a 3,200% increase in vehicular attacks compared to previous years.

“The hateful rhetoric and resistance against men and women who are simply trying to do their jobs must end. Federal law enforcement officers are facing a more than 1,300% increase in assaults against them as they put their lives on the line to arrest criminals and lawbreakers,” the department said in a statement.

On Saturday, one of the violent rioters bit the finger off of a federal official.

The Gateway Pundit will continue to provide updates on developments in Minneapolis as the situation unfolds.

One in Three California Community College Applicants Is Fake

One in Three California Community College Applicants Is Fake

One in Three California Community College Applicants Is Fake
January 25, 2026

Screencap of Twitter/X video.

California’s community college system has a responsibility to educate students, safeguard taxpayer funds, and provide affordable pathways to upward mobility.

Instead, it has become a case study in how public institutions collapse when verification is optional, enforcement is politicized, and fraud is treated as collateral damage.

Roughly one in three applicants to California’s community colleges—about 1.2 million individuals—is believed to be fraudulent.

These are fake students, many operating overseas, enrolling in online classes, submitting AI-generated assignments, occupying limited course seats, and collecting state and federal financial aid intended for real students.

California operates the largest public higher-education system in the nation, spanning 116 community colleges and serving more than two million legitimate students. The system was built to expand access and workforce training.

Instead, it became a low-friction entry point for scammers precisely because identity verification was optional for most applicants.

The scale of the problem forced action only after national scrutiny. Following a CalMatters investigation, nine members of Congress contacted the U.S. Department of Education and the Justice Department requesting a federal investigation into California’s community college financial aid process.

Only then did the system’s governing board vote to require student identity verification—a basic safeguard that should never have been discretionary.

Even that reform met resistance. The board debated charging a nominal application fee, reportedly no more than $10, before rejecting the proposal and instead directing staff to “explore” alternatives.

During public comment, students described competing with bots for required courses and losing seats needed to graduate or transfer. One student testified that a fake enrollee took her place in a class essential to her academic timeline.

That testimony underscores the real cost of fraud. Every fake applicant displaces a real student. Every fraudulent enrollment delays graduation, increases costs, and undermines the promise of affordable higher education.

This breakdown is not unique to community colleges. It reflects a broader pattern across California’s public-benefits systems, where eligibility checks were relaxed and oversight treated as a moral failing rather than a governing necessity.

California lost $32.6 billion to unemployment fraud during the pandemic. Prison inmates collected more than $1 billion in fraudulent claims, including payments sent to death-row inmates.

In disability insurance audits, state officials flagged 345,000 claims and found that 98% of the listed medical providers were fake.

Food assistance programs show similar vulnerabilities. CalFresh, California’s food-stamp system, has posted error rates exceeding 13%, leaving the state responsible for billions in improper payments.

In San Diego alone, nearly $35 million was stolen through EBT card fraud. Statewide, organized foreign theft rings reportedly walked away with more than $180 million.

Yet when these failures surface, California’s political leadership does not respond with enforcement. Instead, it reframes accountability as cruelty and fraud prevention as exclusion.

California once ran a $100 billion surplus. It is now facing an $18 billion deficit, even as officials argue over whether verifying student identity might inconvenience applicants.

When one in three community college applicants is fake, the problem is not funding. It is governance.

Until California restores basic accountability across its education and welfare systems, every new dollar—no matter how it is taxed or raised—will follow the same trajectory as the last surplus: spent quickly, tracked poorly, and gone.

RINO Senator Bill Cassidy Demands Investigation Into ICE — Denounces Their ‘Incredibly Disturbing’ Campaign in Minnesota
January 25, 2026

Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy during a recent appearance on CBS News.

RINO Senator Bill Cassidy is demanding an investigation into the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency.

In a statement posted on the X platform on Saturday, Cassidy described the ongoing immigration crackdown in Minnesota as “incredibly disturbing.”

“The events in Minneapolis are incredibly disturbing,” he wrote. “The credibility of ICE and DHS are at stake.”

Cassidy added, “There must be a full joint federal and state investigation. We can trust the American people with the truth.”

Cassidy’s comments came after the death of 37-year-old Alex Jeffrey Pretti, who was killed after trying to wrestle ICE agents while armed with a loaded firearm.

As RINO Cassidy should be well aware, ICE officers have descended on Minnesota in order to fulfil their duty to carry out President Trump’s promise of mass deportations of those living in the U.S. illegally.

His unhelpful comments may stem from bitterness over Trump’s recent endorsement of his primary challenger, Congresswoman Julia Letlow.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump described Letlow as a “great star” who would support his political agenda:

Highly Respected America First Congresswoman, Julia Letlow, of the wonderful State of Louisiana, is a Great Star, has been from the very beginning, and only gets better! I am hearing that Julia is considering launching her Campaign for the United States Senate in Louisiana, a place I love and WON BIG, six times, including Primaries, in 2016, 2020, and 2024!

I know Julia well, have seen her tested at the highest and most difficult levels, and she is a TOTAL WINNER! A Proud Mother of two children, Julia is a wonderful person, has ALWAYS delivered for Louisiana, and would continue doing so in the United States Senate.

As your next Senator, Julia will work tirelessly to Grow our Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Support our Amazing Farmers and Fishermen, Champion Louisiana Oil & Gas, Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Ensure LAW AND ORDER, Strengthen our Military/Veterans, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment.

Should she decide to enter this Race, Julia Letlow has my Complete and Total Endorsement. RUN, JULIA, RUN!!! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP

Signal Chat Infiltrated by Conservative Journalist Reveals Democrat Politicians and Former Tim Walz Staffer Orchestrating Anti-ICE Protests and Doxxing of Agents
January 25, 2026

Collage featuring a smiling woman with a man, a man outside a community action center, and a campaign sign for Anita Smithson, State Senate District 50.

A leaked Signal group chat has exposed deep ties between Democrat officials, including Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, and radical anti-ICE activists in Minneapolis.

The private messaging group, called “MN ICE Watch,” has allegedly been used to coordinate protests, issue marching orders, and even dox federal ICE agents during the ongoing protests and riots in Minneapolis.

Names of the group’s administrators were leaked after the group was infiltrated by conservative independent journalist Cam Higby and posted to X.

“I have infiltrated organizational signal groups all around Minneapolis with the sole intention of tracking down federal agents and impeding/assaulting/and obstructing them,” Higby wrote at the start of a lengthy thread of screenshots and videos from the chat.

One of the admins of the group is Amanda Noelle Koehler, a prominent protest organizer and former campaign strategist for Walz.

Koehler, who goes by the code name “HAH” in the chat, is listed as one of the group’s admins.

The former Walz staffer has allegedly been actively involved in mobilizing volunteers to track and harass federal agents during “Operation Metro Surge,” the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration violations in the Twin Cities.

The chat also has local politician David Snyder listed as an admin and Minnesota State Senate candidate Anita Smithson as a “dispatcher.”

Snyder deleted his LinkedIn account following the leak.

Screenshots from the leak show discussions on sharing sensitive information about ICE operations, including agent locations and tactics.

Higby explained:

I have been undercover inside the groups for days.

You’ll notice emojis next to people’s names. Here’s a key for what those emojis mean.

The highlighted positions are the most crucial. Most are self explanatory. Mobile patrols spend their entire “shift” searching for suspicious vehicles.

When they find one they send it to the group so that “plate checkers” can compare with their database and see if it’s a known federal vehicle or if the patrol can make the confirmation so that the database can be updated.

Dispatch runs a maxed out call all day telling protestors where ICE has been spotted and how they can be best impeded.

Protesters are also given “occupation” or “shift” positions, which require special training — but it is unclear what the training entails.

The group has created a database of license plates of vehicles being used by ICE agents, and people can call in to check plates within the database.

At one point, Higby himself recorded the discussion about him, as the protesters suspected him to be an ICE agent.

Higby’s full thread exposing the group can be viewed here.
