President Trump on Saturday went scorched earth on Minnesota Democrats after a federal agent fatally shot an armed man in Minneapolis.

DHS law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted operation in Minneapolis against an illegal alien wanted for violent assault when an armed man approached Border Patrol officers, the DHS said.

The armed man has been identified as 37-year-old Alex Jeffrey Pretti from South Minneapolis.

Pretti was an ICU nurse according to the Associated Press.

Video posted to social media showed that Pretti appeared to attack federal law enforcement agents before he was fatally shot.

The shooting occurred near 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue.

As expected, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and far-left Mayor Jacob Frey blamed the federal agents for the fatal shooting and lashed out at President Trump.

Later Saturday, President Trump went off on Walz, Frey and Ilhan Omar.

“This is the gunman’s gun, loaded (with two additional full magazines!), and ready to go – What is that all about? Where are the local Police? Why weren’t they allowed to protect ICE Officers? The Mayor and the Governor called them off? It is stated that many of these Police were not allowed to do their job, that ICE had to protect themselves — Not an easy thing to do!” Trump said on Truth Social.

Trump then turned his ire toward Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar.

“Why does Ilhan Omar have $34 Million Dollars in her account? And where are the Tens of Billions of Dollars that have been stolen from the once Great State of Minnesota? We are there because of massive Monetary Fraud, with Billions of Dollars missing, and Illegal Criminals that were allowed to infiltrate the State through the Democrats’ Open Border Policy. We want the money back, and we want it back, NOW. Those Fraudsters who stole the money are going to jail, where they belong!” Trump said.

“This is no different than a really big Bank Robbery. Much of what you’re witnessing is a COVER UP for this Theft and Fraud. The Mayor and the Governor are inciting Insurrection, with their pompous, dangerous, and arrogant rhetoric! Instead, these sanctimonious political fools should be looking for the Billions of Dollars that has been stolen from the people of Minnesota, and the United States of America. LET OUR ICE PATRIOTS DO THEIR JOB! 12,000 Illegal Alien Criminals, many of them violent, have been arrested and taken out of Minnesota. If they were still there, you would see something far worse than you are witnessing today!” Trump added.

President Trump followed up with another post on Truth Social.

“AMONG OTHER THINGS, THIS IS A “COVER UP” FOR THE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS THAT HAVE BEEN STOLEN FROM THE ONCE GREAT STATE (BUT SOON TO BE GREAT AGAIN!) OF MINNESOTA! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP” Trump said.

Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has accused federal immigration agents of “executing” an armed man during an arrest in Minneapolis, labeling it “another murder by immigration enforcement.”

Omar, instead of calling for peace as chaos erupts in the city, demanded that ICE and CBP immediately leave the state and even called for the impeachment of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has suggested the shooting was justified, as the suspect allegedly pulled a gun on agents during the confrontation.

In a post from her official congressional account, Omar wrote:

This isn’t isolated or accidental. The Trump administration is trying to beat us into submission rather than protect us. This administration cannot continue violating constitutional rights under the guise of immigration enforcement. ICE and CBP must leave Minnesota immediately. Their presence is terrorizing our communities, violating rights, and taking lives with zero accountability. Minnesota was once a place of refuge, and Trump has turned it into a war zone where unchecked federal forces murder our neighbors.

On her personal account, Omar called the shooting a “murder” and called for Noem to be impeached.

The Department of Homeland Security said in a statement that the deceased suspect, a 37-year-old man, was violently resisting being disarmed after he approached agents during a targeted operation to arrest an illegal alien wanted for violent assault.

“At 9:05 AM CT, as DHS law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted operation in Minneapolis against an illegal alien wanted for violent assault, an individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun, seen here.

The officers attempted to disarm the suspect but the armed suspect violently resisted. More details on the armed struggle are forthcoming.

Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots. Medics on scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject but was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect also had 2 magazines and no ID—this looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement.

About 200 rioters arrived at the scene and began to obstruct and assault law enforcement on the scene, crowd control measures were deployed for the safety of the public and law enforcement.

The Border Patrol Union also issued a statement in defense of the agents involved.

In a post on X, the union wrote:

Border Patrol agents are trained extremely well to protect themselves, their fellow agents, and innocent third parties. We have pleaded with and warned the media and the politicians that their irresponsible, hate-filled and false rhetoric is going to get people unnecessarily hurt, or worse, killed when they portray our agents and officers as the aggressors. They have encouraged these reckless confrontations and attacks on our agents and officers who are performing their lawful duties and enforcing the laws that Congress has put on the books. The fake and dishonest media and the shameless politicians should be held accountable for willfully misleading the public and enticing these protesters and agitators. A new video has surfaced showing the moment an armed man in Minneapolis lunged at federal officers, prompting them to defend themselves with lethal force.

The incident took place on Saturday morning, and the Department of Homeland Security has described the shooting as “defensive.”

Newly released footage, taken by a bystander and obtained by Drop Site News, shows the man in civilian clothing, now identified as 37-year-old Alex Jeffrey Pretti, appearing to confront the agents.

During the altercation on the ground, the man resists, and agents surround him.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz immediately blamed ICE agents for the fatal shooting.

I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening.

The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.

Jacob Frey fanned the flames during a press conference on Saturday.

“Six masked agents pummeled our constituents and shot him to death!” Frey said.

“The invasion of these heavily armed masked agents emboldened with a sense of impunity, it has to end!” he said.

FBI Director Kash Patel fired senior agents and directors at the bureau this week with connections to the junk lawfare investigations of President Trump.

According to MS Now, the special agent in charge in Atlanta has been removed, as has the acting assistant director in charge of the New York field office, two people familiar with the matter said. A former special agent in charge in New Orleans who had recently moved on to another job was also ousted.

And six agents from the Miami office were forced out over the unprecedented raid at Mar-a-Lago.

Agents involved in Arctic Frost – the intel community’s spying on GOP Senators and Representatives were also relieved from duties.

MS NOW is pretending these people were unbiased professionals following orders.

The truth is that it was the Democrats who demolished our legal system in order to get Trump and his supporters.

Democrats claim Kash ‘disregarded the law’ with these firings.

Well, this purge is a start. Kash needs to continue the cleansing of the FBI. Or face these demons in the future when/if Democrats take control of government.
