Last week, 16-year-old Christopher Redding, an aspiring football player at John F. Kennedy High School, was murdered in New York City while trying to defend his friends who were being targeted by the attackers.

According to police, one teen suspect has been arrested, but several others are still at large.  The incident occurred outside  a McDonald’s at Broadway and West 238th Street in Kingsbridge as children gathered after school.

Redding’s coach shared a GoFundMe for the family and said, “Over time, I watched Christopher grow and make positive changes in his life, focusing on both his education and his passion for football. He dreamed of becoming a football player one day, and his commitment to his goals inspired everyone around him.”

“Christopher was defending his friends who were being targeted by a group of individuals who then opened fire on them in the Bronx.”

“His last act on earth was one of courage and selflessness, protecting those he cared about.”

In an interview with The New York Post, Christopher’s grieving father, Bryan Corley, denounced Mayor Zohran Mamdani and noted that because several suspects are still at large, he and his family fear for their safety and can’t even grieve in peace.

Following the deadly shooting, Mamdani called the incident “heartbreaking and horrific.”

He added that he is “thankful for the work of the NYPD not only in responding to them but also in the actions they are taking to ensure that we work to prevent them in the future.”

Mamdani’s words fell flat for the grieving family.

The Post reports:

“They’re still out there, and nothing is really being done,” the dad claimed of the suspects still in the wind.

“Everything is a lie. Mayor Mamdani saying that the police is doing a good job. They’re not doing a good job. It’s disgusting,” Corey raged. “The things my family has to endure right now and go through. Everybody is just using my son for a meal ticket, a move-up for their goodness.”

“Even the mayor,” he said. “How can you make a statement when you haven’t even came and speak to the victims? How can you hold a conference and you haven’t even spoken to us?”

Asked if Mamdani or his team has reached out at all to the family, Corley responded “Hell, no.”

Police released CCTV and are asking for the public’s help in identifying several people wanted for questioning in the incident.

President Trump Issues a Surprising Statement Regarding Reverend Jesse Jackson’s Death

President Trump has weighed in on the death of controversial left-wing civil rights activist Reverend Jesse Jackson, and what he has to say may surprise many people.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Jackson passed away today at the age of 84 following a long illness.

A former aide to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Jackson founded the Rainbow PUSH Coalition and was a fixture in American politics for over six decades.

In a statement on Tuesday morning, Jackson’s family said he had died “peacefully” with his family by his side.

Jackson was not exactly popular with conservatives in America, given his status as not only a liberal Democrat but also his involvement in numerous racial and ethnic controversies over the years.

His most infamous incident came in January of 1984, when he called Jews “Hymies” and described New York City as “Hymietown.”

Jackson also blasted Trump on various occasions, including claiming that Trump’s political actions had “seeded these clouds” of division and fear.

But Trump had a different take on Jackson. The president took the high road, calling Jackson “a good man” whom he knew well.

He explained that he helped Jackson on many fronts, including providing office space for his Rainbow Coalition, supporting criminal justice reform, advocating for opportunity zones, and funding HBCUs.

The President closed by saying that Jackson would be missed while noting Jackson’s distaste for former President Barack Obama.

Here is Trump’s full message on Jackson’s death:

The Reverend Jesse Jackson is Dead at 84. I knew him well, long before becoming President.

He was a good man, with lots of personality, grit, and “street smarts.” He was very gregarious – Someone who truly loved people! Despite the fact that I am falsely and consistently called a Racist by the Scoundrels and Lunatics on the Radical Left, Democrats ALL, it was always my pleasure to help Jesse along the way.

I provided office space for him and his Rainbow Coalition, for years, in the Trump Building at 40 Wall Street; Responded to his request for help in getting CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM passed and signed, when no other President would even try; Single handedly pushed and passed long term funding for Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs), which Jesse loved, but also, which other Presidents would not do; Responded to Jesse’s support for Opportunity Zones, the single most successful economic development package yet approved for Black business men/women, and much more.

Jesse was a force of nature like few others before him. He had much to do with the Election, without acknowledgment or credit, of Barack Hussein Obama, a man who Jesse could not stand. He loved his family greatly, and to them I send my deepest sympathies and condolences. Jesse will be missed! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Harmeet Dhillon Launches Inquiry After Left-Wing Activist Admits Reporting TPUSA Students to Child Protective Services in Maryland

Harmeet Dhillon Launches Inquiry After Left-Wing Activist Admits Reporting TPUSA Students to Child Protective Services in Maryland
February 17, 2026

Participants at a community meeting, with a woman speaking at a table and an audience member taking notes in the foreground.

The radical left in Maryland has reached a new low.

A local activist proudly admitted during a public school board meeting that they reported a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter to Child Protective Services (CPS).

Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon is now looking into the matter after the outrageous testimony went viral.

The activist, identified by The Post as Nancy Krause, claimed that a December 2025 student event hosted by TPUSA raised concerns because it was marketed to high schoolers and allegedly limited attendance to students, with supervision provided by volunteers rather than parents or guardians.

She further raised objections over the participation of Board of Education members as guest speakers at the event and questioned whether allowing such engagement without parental access complied with district policies and ethical guidelines.

Nancy Krause: “Good evening. I’m going to go off script here and say congratulations, Dr. Newsom. In the announcement of your position, it was said, “We hope you will be more inclusive.” I agree. I would like the anti-racism statement returned.

In December of 2025, Turning Point USA hosted an event marketed to high school students, with food and beverages advertised as an incentive for attendance. While community-building opportunities for students are important, this event raises serious concerns related to student safety, parental rights, and governance oversight.

Event materials indicated that adults, including parents and legal guardians, were not permitted to attend, and that supervision would be provided by unnamed volunteers. Excluding parents and guardians from a student-focused event creates a lack of transparency and undermines established best practices for youth safety.

School-affiliated or school-adjacent activities should adhere to clear supervision standards, background check requirements, and defined accountability structures.

I am also concerned about a potential conflict of interest involving Board of Education members serving as guest speakers at this event. Board members are entrusted with fiduciary and ethical responsibilities, and participation in events targeting students—particularly when parental access is restricted—warrants careful review to ensure compliance with district policies, ethics guidelines, and public trust obligations.

Nancy Krause (00:01:36.24)
Students are widely recognized as a vulnerable population. They are in critical developmental stages and are especially susceptible to influence. For this reason, safeguarding measures, parental involvement, and transparency are essential.

All Board of Education members in this room are mandated reporters under state law, as I am. Based on the circumstances surrounding this event, a report was made to Child Protective Services.”

WATCH:

The Gateway Pundit reported that a student who spoke before Krause said his group placed restrictions on the event after receiving “hate” online.

This included barring access for adults they did not know who were not volunteers or parents of attendees.

He also revealed that all students who attended had parental permission.

As of this writing, no action has been taken against Krause for her censorious move.

Krause’s action sparked an uproar among conservatives on social media.

Now, attorney Dhillon confirmed she is reviewing the matter after a video surfaced from a Calvert County Board of Education meeting in which a local resident stated that she made a CPS referral targeting conservative high school students involved in the TPUSA-affiliated Club America chapter at Northern High School.

"I’m looking into this," Dhillon wrote on X.

Why The ‘Save America Act’ Will Make America’s Elections Safer, Fairer, and Freer

Why The ‘Save America Act’ Will Make America’s Elections Safer, Fairer, and Freer

Why The ‘Save America Act’ Will Make America’s Elections Safer, Fairer, and Freer
February 17, 2026

Voting sign directing individuals to the polling location with bilingual instructions in English and Spanish, featuring an American flag design.

President Trump is attempting to secure another significant legislative victory with the “Save America Act,” which would begin to restore some semblance of fairness and propriety to an election system that has become deeply subverted over the last decade.

The timing of the proposed law is critically important considering that we are just months away from the 2026 midterms, an election that will decide who keeps support for both chambers of Congress.

For these reasons, passing legislation now that would advance the cause of election integrity is of pronounced importance.

Democrats have cheated and rigged elections with ever increasing amounts of shamelessness, a treacherous pattern that has only accelerated in recent election cycles.

This, of course, culminated in the Big Lie of 2020, an election marred by impropriety due to last-minute rule changes, ballot harvesting and dumping, illegal voting, and machine hacking.

Having now had over half a decade of investigations and research into our fraudulent election systems – supplemented by countless other instances of Democratic-induced fraud observed in cases as wide-ranging as Minnesota childcare centers to New York and California-based illegal alien housing and schooling schemes to Joe Biden’s mental decline and coverup – one would think Republicans in the Senate, a chamber not known for its wisdom, would at least be intelligent enough to ascertain the urgent need for election reform.

As people say, the issue has become “low hanging fruit” – it is an “80/20” issue, with overwhelming majorities of Americans on both sides of the political spectrum believing that a minimum of presenting a driver’s license is not only reasonable, but a necessary requirement before exercising one’s right to vote.

The idea that elections have not been federalized, or are the exclusive province of the states, has been completely undermined by the last one hundred and fifty years or so of the Republic, beginning with the ratification of the Fifteenth Amendment, which allows the feds to regulate state electoral processes in the interest of rooting out instances of race-based discrimination.

The passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which is universally celebrated by liberals, is another hallmark example of federal authorities overriding state control of election processes.

While it is true that the Constitution primarily delegates electoral procedures to state legislatures, Article I does grant carveouts.

Article I, Section 4, the so-called “elections clause,” for instance, allows Congress to “by Law make or alter such Regulations” otherwise prescribed by the States – allowing federal lawmakers to override or standardize election procedures by federal law as it sees fit.

In the context of civil rights, the federal government has been no stranger to intervening in state election processes to prohibit literacy tests and grandfather clauses, which traditionally restricted black voters from gaining access to the franchise.

In modern times, however, the problem is not that election processes are too strict, but too lenient.

The problem has gotten much worse over the years, as millions of illegal aliens have entered the homeland and not shockingly began appearing on voter rolls.

Certain states run by Democratic governors, like Minnesota and Pennsylvania, have been hostile towards offering transparency to their voter rolls.

In critical swing-states, the fact that voter rolls have been tough to audit has made it almost impossible to validate the legitimacy of popular vote outcomes.

So much of that process is now left to reliance on the word of highly dubious authorities, like Tim Walz and Josh Shapiro, two of the most dishonest politicians serving as governors in America today.

What makes both Democratic and some Republican resistance to national election integrity standards even odder is the fact that virtually zero resistance came from these same culprits to the rollout of Real ID requirements, which have become mandatory for travel, over the last year.

Real ID dovetails with the election integrity issue in several notable ways.  Not only is Real ID one valid form of voter ID under the rules proposed in the draft legislation, but furthermore, the constitutional arguments in favor of each are similar.

Both are representative of federal regulation of an inalienable right.  In the Real ID context, the right in question is the right to travel, which the Supreme Court has repeatedly found, like voting, to be protected under the Due Process clause.

Even the bottom-line issues to justify each are similar: the driving concern for national security, which is prevalent in most conversations surrounding the need for Real ID, is also present in the context of election integrity reform, where election procedures, in their current condition, have an outsized risk of being compromised by malevolent actors, both foreign (i.e., illegal aliens diluting the voter pool), and international (i.e., cyber-attacks from countries like China).

In both cases, the Department of Homeland Security plays a key role as well.  DHS has been instrumental in standardizing Real ID over the past year in travel; the Save Act would equally grant DHS with the authority to cross-check state reported voter rolls with a national database, to ensure only eligible citizens are exercising the right to vote, further bolstering a sacred privilege for all Americans.

Ultimately, the Left’s irrational hostility to very basic guardrails to protect the integrity of America’s elections is of course driven not by a moral principle, but by a desire to retain power and de-legitimize the Trump administration and its America First policies.

The excuses Democrats use to express opposition to the proposed law are bogus – there is zero evidence to support any ridiculous claim asserting that black Americans have significant challenges accessing ID requirements, such as a birth certificate, passport, or driver’s license, for registration than their white counterparts.

The argument contending as much is inherently racist, since it implies black people are less capable of securing basic ID requirements than whites.

Furthermore, we know that the argument is completely disingenuous, since no Democrat has voiced anything remotely comparable to the opposition of the Save America Act in the related context of Real ID requirements, which impose very similar regulations upon all Americans in the context of travel.

Not only have Democratic voices been more muted in the latter context, but when Real ID came up for congressional vote in 2005, the appropriations package in which it was contained passed the Senate unanimously.

The group of Democratic senators who signed onto that bill notably included Chuck Schumer, who today is strangely one of the loudest antagonists of the Save America Act despite his approval of Real ID.

To any American with an iota of common-sense, the reasons for passing the Save America Act are obvious and numerous.

It is long past due that our country experienced an overhaul of its election procedures, in the name of election integrity.

This is particularly true since 2020, where procedures were changed on a whim, using the pretext of a fabricated global pandemic, all for the purposes of removing and banishing President Trump from the political arena.

Since 2020, more fraud and corruption to state governmental procedures, not only in the election context, but in myriad other contexts, have come to light.

In case after case, states largely run by Democratic governors and state legislatures have demonstrated a strong propensity towards fraud – particularly those which have declared themselves “sanctuaries” for illegals, the ultimate telltale that unconstitutional and unlawful acts are the modus operandi.

The Constitution grants extraordinary powers to the federal government to clean up election processes.

The right to vote may be fundamental, but it loses its significance if the procedures in place cannot meaningfully distinguish between citizen and non-citizen.

Where non-citizens and other pools of ineligible voters begin to exercise the franchise en masse, it further degrades the integrity of the overall democratic system, while undermining the legitimacy of the governing bodies who derive their authority from such illegitimate procedures.

This explicates why the Senate must follow the House of Representatives in passing the Save America Act, and further accounts for why, at this late stage, federal intervention may be the only antidote to reverse the damage already inflicted on our election procedures over the years by bad-faith actors seeking to bring American democracy to heel.

BANNON BREAKS SILENCE: Says Epstein Texts Were for Documentary — Vows Film Will “Destroy the Myths” of the Notorious Predator
February 17, 2026

WarRoom host and former Trump White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon is pushing back after newly released Jeffrey Epstein chat logs revealed extensive text exchanges between him and the disgraced financier in the months leading up to Epstein’s 2019 arrest and death.

Bannon addressed the controversy directly, insisting his communications with Epstein were strictly related to a documentary project years in the making, and nothing more.

The controversy erupted after the Justice Department’s massive document release, which revealed millions of pages of Epstein-related materials. In those files, Bannon’s name appears frequently during the first half of 2019.

The text messages show Bannon advising Epstein on legal strategy, media positioning, and crisis communications, including suggestions on which lawyers to hire and how to handle press scrutiny as federal prosecutors began reexamining Epstein’s 2008 sweetheart plea deal.

Bannon confirmed that his communications with Jeffrey Epstein were conducted strictly in the capacity of a documentary filmmaker seeking extensive on-the-record interviews with a notoriously reclusive and controversial subject.

“I am a filmmaker and TV host with decades of experience interviewing controversial figures,” Bannon told The New York Times.

“That’s the only lens through which these private communications should be viewed, a documentary filmmaker working, over a period of time, to secure 50 hours of interviews from a reclusive subject.”

Bannon’s team confirmed that while Epstein tried to ply Bannon with offers of private jets and concierge doctors, the America First stalwart never took the bait.

A spokesman confirmed Bannon never flew on the “Lolita Express,” never saw Epstein’s doctors, and never stayed overnight at Epstein’s residences, despite Epstein’s repeated attempts to buy influence.

Compare this to the actual friends of Epstein in the Democrat party and the establishment GOP who spent vacations on his island.

According to the New York Times:

A spokesman for Mr. Bannon said his client sought only to ingratiate himself with Mr. Epstein for the documentary. But written communications during the year and a half before Mr. Epstein’s death in custody in August 2019 suggest that far from wary, Mr. Epstein was eager to cater to Mr. Bannon’s wishes and needs.

He shipped Mr. Bannon and his son Apple watches. He offered Mr. Bannon his private jet to fly around Europe, joking: “How does it feel to have the most highly paid travel agent in history?”

He proposed that Mr. Bannon get a full medical work-up in Mr. Epstein’s “private area” at a high-end concierge emergency clinic, telling him that “your medical expenses from a to z have been covered by me.” Mr. Bannon’s spokesman said he never saw Mr. Epstein’s doctor, nor did he fly on his private jet.

[…]

Mr. Epstein first tried to meet with Mr. Bannon in November 2016, after Mr. Trump won the presidency, the documents suggest. But Mr. Bannon, a top campaign strategist for Mr. Trump and later a senior White House official, agreed only after the president had fired him in August 2017.

[…]

Mr. Bannon’s spokesman said he conducted about 12 hours of interviews with Mr. Epstein for the documentary. But for reasons that remain unclear, the newly released files contain only two hours of interviews.

[…]

Later, Mr. Epstein wanted a legal agreement, known as a Kovel, apparently designed to extend attorney-client privilege to his communications with Mr. Bannon, who is not a lawyer. Mr. Bannon wrote back: “we need a deal for the entire ‘training.’”

Mr. Bannon’s spokesman said Mr. Bannon never signed the agreement and voluntarily shared his footage with federal prosecutors after Mr. Epstein’s death in a jail cell, ruled to be a suicide.

According to Bannon, the forthcoming film is slated for release later in 2026 and aims to dismantle what he described as the “myths” Epstein carefully constructed during his lifetime to obscure the scope and nature of his crimes.

“We’re gonna release the film, the five-part series, next year, early next year,” Bannon said earlier this month, according to The National Pulse.

“And by the way, the entire thing is how the elites and the intelligence services are inextricably linked… You’re gonna have to name names and you’re gonna have to understand how the elites in the world, but also the intelligence services, are inextricably linked in Epstein’s story,” he said, adding, “That’s the key.”
