Thomas Massie grills Attorney General Pam Bondi in House Judiciary Committee Hearing

During an explosive moment on Capitol Hill, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), one of the only Republicans who is critical of the Trump DOJ’s handling of the Epstein files, went off on Attorney General Pam Bondi over redactions to the Epstein Files.

Massie further attacked Bondi for leaving Epstein victims’ names unredacted while fully redacting the names of “child sex trafficking coconspirators.”

This comes after Massie and Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna (CA) revealed that the identities of six men, who are likely implicated in the Jeffrey Epstein files, were redacted in certain portions of the files. Khanna revealed the names on the House Floor on Tuesday as Salvatore Nuara, Zurab Mikeladze, Leonic Leonov, Nicola Caputo, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, and Leslie Wexner.

Wexner, the businessman and former Victoria’s Secret CEO, was mentioned over 4,000 times in the files, but Massie contends that he was specifically redacted when his name was mentioned as a coconspirator of the late pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.

When Massie pressed Bondi on this fact, she mentioned that his name is in the files thousands of times, but Massie fired back, “Yeah, I already told you that. This is where he’s listed as a coconspirator,” sparking a heated back-and-forth between the lawmaker and the AG.

He then attacked Bondi’s argument that they unredacted Wexner’s name “within 40 minutes” of the discovery by lawmakers reviewing the unredacted files, shouting that it was only because they caught the DOJ “red-handed.”

Bondi responded, “This guy has Trump derangement syndrome!” She then added, “You’re a failed politician,” later slamming him as a “hypocrite.”

Massie then played a clip of Kash Patel testifying that there is “no credible information, none,” that Jeffrey Epstein trafficked young women to other individuals, asking, “Is that your position as well?”

“My position is any victim who comes forward, of course, we would love to hear from them. 1-800-call-FBI. Did you ask Merrick Garland that the last four years? Did you talk about Epstein?” Bondi fired back.

“I’m glad you’re asking about Merrick Garland because this is bigger than Watergate. This goes over four administrations. You don’t have to go back to Biden. Let’s go back to Obama. Let’s go back to George Bush. This cover-up spans decades,” Massie declared before accusing Bondi of engaging in the continued cover-up. He then asked, “At what point did the FBI and the DOJ decide that Les Wexner was not a coconspirator?” while noting that the Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed into law last November by President Trump requires the DOJ “to release the internal decision about whether to prosecute him or not, and it’s not in the files, and it’s not in the files for any of these other men.”

Following his questioning, Massie introduced records, including “entirely redacted” files; a witness statement that he says implicates les Wexner; a New York Times article, headlined “The Government Published Dozens of Nude Photos in the Epstein Files;” an email from Bondi to Kash Patel, which he sais was “imploring him to quit keeping the files when you found out that they were keeping files from you because they’re still redacting files;” and a list of 17 DOJ officials who resigned over the Epstein Files.

Transcript:

Massie: Behind me, I have three documents from the DOJ production that are emblematic of the massive failure of the DOJ to comply with the Epstein files Transparency Act. To my right is an email that was sent by the victims’ lawyers to the DOJ. It was a list of names not to redact or, sorry, a list of names not to release. What did the DOJ do with this email? They released this email in the document production! Literally the worst thing you could do to the survivors, you did. And they’re getting phone calls. A lot of these people didn’t want to be known. And we know you touched the document because you redacted one name, and you redacted the lawyer’s name, but you left the survivors’ name there. The next document I want to show you— That was in the title the victims’, survivors’, names, right. The title of this one is child sex trafficking coconspirators, fully redacted. And, by the way— I’m gonna unredact them here— Les Wexner is in this.

Now, your assistant Dep, your Deputy Attorney General, said, Oh well, he appears hundreds of times in the files, but he doesn’t appear in this file until I forced you to release it, where he’s listed as a coconspirator, not to tax evasion, but to child sex trafficking! Not to prostitution, not to money laundering, child sex trafficking! And then finally, what we have here, the third exhibit that I have is emblematic of the FD302, release. These are the documents that we need, that you’re holding on to and over redacting because they have the names of the men who are implicated. How do we know? Because the survivors gave testimony to the FBI, and it’s in there. And what happens when you go to the portal at the DOJ to look at what’s behind this redaction? Another redaction. So, we can’t even see them, and then there’s some of these files you’ve pulled down from the website that we will never see because we can’t search the redactions. So, I have several questions for you. Who’s responsible? Are you able to track who in your organization made this massive failure and released the victims’ names? Are you able to track who it was that obscured Les Wexner’s name as a co conspirator in an FBI document. Do you have that kind of accountability?

Bondi: I believe Wexner’s name was listed more than 4000 times about—

Massie: Yeah, I already told you that. This is where he’s listed as a coconspirator.

Bondi: Can I finish my answer? Come on. Let me finish my answer. We corrected that within 40 minutes. He was already— you’re acting like everybody’s trying to cover up Wexner’s name… Within 40 minutes— you asked me a question. Within 40 minutes, Wexner’s name was added back.

Massie: Within 40 minutes of me catching you, red handed!

Bondi: Red-handed? [chuckles] There was one redaction out of over 4,700–

Massie: Where he’s listed as a co-conspirator!

Bondi: And we invited you in. This guy has Trump derangement syndrome! He needs to— you’re a failed politician…. My position is any victim who comes forward, of course, we would love to hear from them. 1-800-call-FBI. Did you ask Merrick Garland that the last four years? Did you talk about Epstein?

Massie: I’m glad you’re asking about Merrick Garland because this is bigger than Watergate. This goes over four administrations. You don’t have to go back to Biden. Let’s go back to Obama. Let’s go back to George Bush. This cover up spans decades, and you are responsible for this portion of it! I want to know at what point, at what point, did the FBI and the DOJ decide that Les Wexner was not a co conspirator because our Epstein Files Transparency Act requires you— please put it back on the screen— to release the internal decision about whether to prosecute him or not, and it’s not in the files, and it’s not in the files for any of these other men.

Bondi: He’s a hypocrite because he voted against the ban that we were talking about on deep fake AI porn. Only two people voted against it! And you were one of them, hypocrite.

February 11, 2026

US jobs numbers for February far exceeded expectations to start 2026.

President Trump doubled expectations adding 130,000 jobs when only 55,000 was expected.

The unemployment rate also decreased from 4.4% to 4.3% according to CNBC

President Trump: Just in: GREAT JOBS NUMBERS, FAR GREATER THAN EXPECTED! The United States of America should be paying MUCH LESS on its Borrowings (BONDS!). We are again the strongest Country in the World, and should therefore be paying the LOWEST INTEREST RATE, by far. This would be an INTEREST COST SAVINGS OF AT LEAST ONE TRILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR – BALANCED BUDGET, PLUS. WOW! The Golden Age of America is upon us!!! President DJT

From the president’s Truth Social account:
Tweet by Donald Trump discussing US job numbers, borrowing costs, interest rates, and a balanced budget, emphasizing America's strength and economic potential.

At what point can the American people sue the Federal Reserve Chief for his dereliction of duty? Jerome Powell is now costing every American untold amounts of money by refusing to do his job!

CNBC host Rick Santelli reacted positively:

Even CNN was forced to share the good economic news.

A diverse group of lawmakers engaged in a congressional hearing, with individuals focused on their devices and discussions in a formal setting.

Democrat Rep. Jerrold Nadler (NY) had to be woken up by a staffer on Wednesday morning during a congressional hearing.

US Attorney General Pam Bondi testified at a House Judiciary Committee hearing on the Epstein files, fatal shootings of two anti-ICE agitators and more.

Nadler fell asleep just minutes into Wednesday’s hearing.

A staffer walked over to Nadler and woke him up.

WATCH:

Later on during the hearing, Nadler and Bondi got into a shouting match over Jeffrey Epstein’s co-conspirators.

“How many [co-conspirators] have you indicted?” Nadler asked Bondi.

“Excuse me! I’m going to answer!” Bondi said.

“Answer my question!” Nadler demanded.

“I’m gonna answer the question the way I want to answer the question. Your theatrics are ridiculous,” Bondi said.

“Chairman Jordan, I’m not gonna get into the gutter with these people,” Bondi said.

Bondi and Nadler continued to talk over each other until Chairman Jim Jordan intervened.

According to the Tumbler Ridge Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), a mass shooting at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in British Columbia left nine dead and at least 25 more injured.

According to police, the sole suspect, described as a “gunperson’ wearing a dress, was found dead inside the school from “a self-inflicted injury.”

Per CNN:

Police found six people dead and dozens injured when they arrived at the high school in Tumbler Ridge, a town of just 2,400 people in northeast British Columbia, early on Tuesday afternoon. Another person died en route to hospital, police said.

The alleged shooter, who was found dead at the school with a self-inflicted injury, is believed to have killed two more people, whose bodies were discovered at a home in the township

Two victims were airlifted from the school to hospital with serious or life-threatening injuries. And about 25 other people were also being treated at a local medical center, police said.

Fox News reported that Superintendent Ken Floyd, North District Commander, said in a statement,  “This was a rapidly evolving and dynamic situation, and the swift cooperation from the school, first responders, and the community played a critical role in our response.”

“Our thoughts are with the families, loved ones, and all those impacted by this tragic incident. This has been an incredibly difficult and emotional day for our community, and we are grateful for the cooperation shown as officers continue their work to advance the investigation.”

Juno News, an independent outlet in Canada, claims to have spoken with someone connected to the suspected shooter’s family who says the suspect was trans and used “she/her” pronouns, but authorities have not confirmed the claim.

The Guardian reported that the police have identified the shooter, but didn’t publicly release their identity due to the integrity of the investigation.

The shooter’s identity, any potential connections to groups, and motivations remain under investigation.

Trump Reverses Biden-Era Crackdown on Christian Universities

The Trump administration canceled a $37 million fine against Grand Canyon University (GCU), one of the nation’s largest Christian universities. President Trump first heard about the case in April during the inaugural meeting of his anti-Christian bias task force, where officials discussed what they described as a broader pattern of investigations, fines, and clashes involving conservative Christians under the Biden administration.

On February 6, 2025, President Trump issued an executive order establishing the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias. The order declared it U.S. policy to protect religious liberty and end what it described as the anti-Christian weaponization of government. It argued that the prior administration targeted peaceful Christians, particularly pro-life activists, while failing to adequately respond to violence and vandalism against churches.

The order referenced federal prosecutions of pro-life demonstrators, including elderly individuals and a Catholic priest, and noted that President Trump issued pardons in those cases in January 2025. It also criticized actions by the FBI, Department of Education, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Department of Health and Human Services, alleging policies that undermined Christian beliefs on gender identity and religious expression.

The task force, housed within the Department of Justice and chaired by the Attorney General, includes senior Cabinet officials and agency leaders. At its first meeting, Attorney General Pamela Bondi, Faith Office leaders Paula White-Cain and Jennifer Korn, and several Cabinet members reviewed cases of alleged discrimination across federal agencies. A month earlier, the administration had directed State Department and Veterans Affairs employees to report instances of anti-Christian bias.

Under the Biden administration, the Department of Education fined Grand Canyon University, alleging it misled thousands of doctoral students about program costs, particularly regarding required “continuation” courses that increased tuition beyond advertised amounts. GCU denied wrongdoing, stating it provided clear disclosures and was unfairly targeted. The university appealed and challenged multiple federal actions.

In May 2025, the Department of Education rescinded the fine in full and dismissed the case with prejudice, stating it had established no violation of law. GCU welcomed the decision, calling the accusations “without merit.” Around the same time, the Federal Trade Commission dismissed its remaining lawsuit against a GCU affiliate and one executive, ending Biden-era enforcement actions tied to the university’s nonprofit status and graduate program marketing. GCU characterized the investigations as “coordinated lawfare.” The university reports enrollment of 123,000 students, including 25,000 on campus, though Liberty University claims a higher total enrollment. GCU also regained reaffirmation of its nonprofit status, preserving access to federal financial aid programs.

Irrespective of the exact details of the Grand Canyon case, critics argue there is broader evidence that the Biden administration was hostile to Christian education.

In 2021, College of the Ozarks, a small Christian university, sued the Biden administration over a Department of Housing and Urban Development directive protecting LGBTQ individuals in federally funded housing. Because colleges receive federal funds, they are subject to fair housing laws. Represented by Alliance Defending Freedom, the school challenged the policy’s application to campus housing and sought to prevent being required to house transgender students according to gender identity.

Two reports from the American Principles Project further alleged that the Biden-Harris Department of Education disproportionately targeted Christian and vocational institutions through its Office of Enforcement. According to the reports, nearly 70 percent of enforcement penalties were directed at Christian institutions and career colleges, even though they enroll less than 10 percent of students nationwide. The reports described this as an “unprecedented assault” and cited increased funding for the Office of Enforcement.

They highlighted record fines against Grand Canyon University and Liberty University totaling $51.7 million. Liberty’s $14 million Clery Act penalty was contrasted with smaller fines imposed on Michigan State University and Penn State in high-profile sexual abuse cases.

By mid-2025, the Justice Department’s Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias released a report concluding there had been a “consistent and systematic pattern of discrimination against Christians” under the previous administration. Dated June 6 and released in September, the report cited university fines, arrests of anti-abortion protesters under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, COVID-19 vaccine mandates, and Johnson Amendment investigations as evidence of bias.

The report also referenced the FBI’s “Richmond Memo,” which suggested monitoring “radical-traditionalist” Catholics, alleged “debanking” of Christian groups, and heightened scrutiny of churches by the IRS, Treasury Department, and Department of Veterans Affairs. It outlined actions taken by the Trump administration in response, including pardons, intervention in zoning disputes involving churches, limits on Johnson Amendment enforcement, and planned guidance on prayer in schools.

The report concluded by reaffirming a commitment to protect religious liberty and prevent future discrimination against Christians.

The current administration, including Vice President JD Vance, Speaker Mike Johnson, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is perhaps the most openly Christian administration since the Founding Fathers.

This overt public expression of faith has been made possible by President Trump, who announced at the National Prayer Breakfast that he plans to rededicate America as “one nation under God” during the nation’s 250th anniversary year. He said a sacred prayer ceremony will be held on the National Mall on May 17, inviting Americans from across the country to gather in prayer and thanksgiving.
