FEDS NAB SUSPECT IN TERROR PLOT: Authorities Arrest Individual Accused of Attempted Arson Attack on DHS/ICE Office in Idaho After Ambulance Ramming
February 24, 2026

Federal and local authorities in Idaho have finally apprehended the radical suspect accused of attempting a domestic terror attack against a DHS/ICE facility.

The Gateway Pundit reported last week that an anti-ICE agitator stole an ambulance, packed it with gas cans, and rammed the emergency vehicle into a DHS office in Meridian, Idaho.

Meridian Police Chief Tracy Basterrechea said the suspect stole the ambulance from St. Luke’s Hospital and poured accelerant inside of the vehicle.

“We want to emphasize that this was a serious criminal act,” Police Chief Basterrechea said.

“The theft and destruction of an emergency vehicle not only created a risk to responding personnel, but it also temporarily removed a critical medical resource from the community,” he said.

The police chief said “there has been a lot of rhetoric surrounding the Department of Homeland Security leasing office space at this location.”

“Comments on social media, such as ‘property damage isn’t violence,’ is absolutely false,” he said.

“This was absolutely an act of violence, and if the suspect had not been interrupted, there is no doubt this building would have been burned, putting the lives of first responders and others at risk,” he added.

According to authorities, 43-year-old Sarah Elizabeth George of Boise was taken into custody Monday evening after Meridian Police, the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives executed a search warrant at her Boise residence.

Police Chief of Meridian Police Department Tracy Basterrechea:

“Today, I’m glad to announce that we have made an arrest of Sarah Elizabeth George, a 43-year-old female from Boise, Idaho. The Meridian Police Department, along with the local Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, served an arrest warrant on George and executed a search warrant at George’s residence earlier this evening.

Agents and detectives are currently processing the scene at the residence now, collecting evidence. The investigators standing here are responsible for this timely arrest.

The first thing I would like to point out is that the men and women of the Meridian Police Department and the men and women of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the FBI, did an amazing job over the last five days—working long hours and working diligently—to positively identify Ms. George and bring her into custody.”

WATCH:

According to a federal criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho, Sarah Elizabeth George has been charged with malicious destruction of government property by fire and malicious destruction of property used in interstate commerce.

The affidavit, submitted by FBI Special Agent Daniel Ramirez, outlines a chilling sequence of events that unfolded on the night of February 18, 2026.

Investigators allege that George stole a Canyon County Paramedics ambulance from outside St. Luke’s Hospital in Meridian at approximately 11:00 p.m.

Minutes later, surveillance footage reportedly shows the stolen ambulance crashing through the south entrance doors of the Portico Building at 3330 E. Louise Drive.

The building contains office space leased by the U.S. General Services Administration for DHS and ICE operations.

According to the affidavit, the suspect did not stop at ramming the building. CCTV footage allegedly shows her retrieving gas cans from inside the ambulance and pouring gasoline throughout the lobby floor in what authorities believe was an attempt to ignite the structure.

A Walmart bag containing lighter fluid and two red gasoline jugs were recovered at the scene.

Federal investigators describe a methodical paper trail leading to the suspect’s identification.

Surveillance footage from Walmart shows a woman matching George’s description purchasing gas cans and lighter fluid hours before the attack.

Additional footage from a nearby Fred Meyer gas station reportedly shows the suspect filling gas cans and fueling a Dodge Dakota pickup truck, using a loyalty card in the name “Sarah Elizabeth George.”

Investigators also identified a blue 2005 Dodge Dakota registered to individuals with the same last name and observed similarities between that vehicle and the one captured on security footage.

The affidavit further notes that investigators located a Facebook page believed to belong to George containing posts critical of ICE and DHS.

One post from the morning of February 18 reportedly stated: “If it can be destroyed by the truth then it should be destroyed; it was built in lies anyways.”

After reviewing the Idaho DMV database, authorities discovered that George had been pulled over during a traffic stop just weeks earlier.

Her driver’s license photo matched the suspect.

If convicted on federal arson and terrorism-related charges, Sarah Elizabeth George could spend decades in prison.

Why Donald Trump Is Correct, And The Supreme Court Wrong, About Tariffs

Why Donald Trump Is Correct, And The Supreme Court Wrong, About Tariffs

Why Donald Trump Is Correct, And The Supreme Court Wrong, About Tariffs
February 24, 2026

Image of Donald Trump gesturing while speaking at an event, alongside a portrait of Chief Justice John Roberts in judicial robes, set against a backdrop of American flags.

The Supreme Court’s radical departure from the law and basic principles of constitutional governance in last Friday’s abominable decision, Learning Resources, Inc. v. Trump, marked an affront to the judiciary and a setback for the administration.

For an institution mired in a crisis of legitimacy, a court that has drifted far afield of the Constitution’s original text and intended meaning by its designers over a decades-long peregrination, the High Court did itself no great service by intruding into a domain that the Constitution never intended.

Executive and legislative power is clear and straightforward.  Article I of the Constitution equips the Congress with the power of the purse.

This includes tax and spending powers, as well as the ability to appropriate funding to the various government agencies.

Under Article II, the executive, or chief magistrate, has a whole separate slate of powers dealing with the enforcement of laws and regulations.

Foremost among executive power, however, is the ability to wage war and engage in international diplomacy.

Under this umbrella includes the numerous interests to national security.

Whether a foreign power poses a threat to the homeland, either directly through military intervention and war or indirectly through toxic policies, from drug smuggling to economic tampering, the executive is tasked with mitigating that threat, and doing so largely unencumbered by the other two branches of government.

The tariff power is unique in that it resembles traditional tax and spending powers to the extent that it fills government coffers with duties imposed on foreign imports.

However, its use, both traditionally and in practice, is fundamentally distinct from ordinary taxation.

This accounts for both its distinct name (after all, it would be easier to just call tariffs ‘foreign taxes’) as well as its long-running, commonly understood role as an extension of executive power, not simply a legislative protocol.

Which makes sense.  While tariffs raise money, in most historical cases up through today, the raising of revenue is an auxiliary consideration.

The primary reason behind the policy, from George Washington to Donald Trump, has primarily been a means to protect the nation.

In that regard, tariffs are a significant arrow in the President’s foreign policy quiver.  Tariffs may be leveraged against would-be adversaries to bring them to diplomatic heel.

In the most extreme cases, a tariff may be the one thing that gets a hostile party to a clear-headed negotiation.

Indeed, it can be the very difference between life and death: a superpower may think twice about invading a vulnerable satellite country if the threat of imposing a 15 or 20 percent tariff on semiconductors or automobile parts looms over its head.

Tariffs might also get a foreign country to get its own house in order.

If a country exercises tariffs against an important sector in a competitor nation, in part because the competitor is harming the tariff-imposing country in some way, such as by not containing their criminal organizations, that may be enough of a carrot to get the targeted nation to clamp down on crime, stop migration, or enact whatever policy may be needed to stop causing harm.

Facing the threat of economic devastation, any country will mobilize any force necessary to control the problematic behavior.  It comes down to simple cost-benefit analysis that appeals to common sense.

For these reasons, the tariff power is decisively a national security power, not a tax and spending power.

Because it is a national security power, the President has traditionally been accorded wide discretion to enact policies as he sees fit on the global arena, usually with fairly limited congressional oversight.

This is not a bug but rather a feature of the system.  The Founding Fathers wanted to give the President of the United States enough breathing room in the domain of international affairs to realize his peacekeeping vision.

The nature of the business called for flexibility: an enemy will not wait for the deliberative mechanisms of constitutional governance before waging an attack.

Enemies do not respect the rules of decorum for a constitutional system, particularly the enemies of the United States.

This is something the majority in the Supreme Court does not seem to grapple with: such deliberations will be exploited, not respected, by any foe.

This is why Justices Gorsuch, Roberts, and Barrett, all of whom should know better being the appointees of Republican presidents (two of them being Trump nominees) made a grave mistake.

To say that the tariff power is strictly a tax power, and then to conflate two entirely distinct powers with that logic, betrays both history and the wisdom of the constitutional architects.

Moreover, it demonstrates ignorance about fundamental rules of statesmanship.

Namely, how tariffs have traditionally always been used as an instrument to help presidents either avoid conflict or mitigate foreign tensions by using economic leverage to tamp down the flames of violence before things got too heated, or curb the countless indirect catastrophes that necessarily follow from any number of deleterious initiatives a competitor might do to weaken the culture or economy of its adversary.

Fortunately for the President, because of this precedent about tariffs being primarily a national security power, he should be able to easily revive the tariffs, backed by the force of law that should make another challenge insurmountable.

However, for the Court, which continues to reveal its ignorance to the world with decisions like this, the probability of rehabilitating its image in the public eye is much less certain.

In this calculus, the reputational damage has been done.  The Court is demonstrating that rather than being a neutral and impartial arbiter of the law, it would prefer to be an unelected legislator and make policies that it has no responsibility or prerogative to do.

This is not good for the Court or the Country.  If the intent is to fix the country, the Roberts court had better reckon with reality and reverse course fast, or risk further delegitimizing itself and harming the nation.

Florida Attorney General Announces ARREST of Convicted Felon Commutted by Biden Autopen — Now Faces STATE CHARGES

Florida Attorney General Announces ARREST of Convicted Felon Commutted by Biden Autopen — Now Faces STATE CHARGES
February 24, 2026

Mugshot of a man with short black hair and a beard, looking directly at the camera against a neutral background.

In a stunning blowback to Joe Biden’s controversial clemency spree, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced Monday that career criminal Oscar Freemond Fowler III has been taken back into custody to face new state charges, months after his 12-plus-year federal sentence was commuted by the Biden administration using the autopen.

Fowler had been serving a 12-year-and-6-month federal sentence after pleading guilty in 2024 to:

  • Felon in possession of a firearm
  • Possession with intent to distribute cocaine

Federal prosecutors had reportedly pushed for at least 150 months behind bars, citing his extensive criminal history and warning that he posed an ongoing public safety risk.

DOJ wrote at the time:

According to court records, in October 2023, officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives executed a search warrant at Fowler’s residence. During their search, they located cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana. On the floor next to Fowler’s bed, agents located a loaded 9mm pistol that contained an extended magazine and 29 rounds of ammunition. At the time, Fowler had multiple prior felony convictions including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, aggravated assault, and conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute cocaine. Therefore, he is prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition under federal law.

“This is another example of how the ongoing collaboration with our state and federal partners assisted us in removing a dangerous felon and reducing gun violence in our community,” said Anthony Holloway, St. Petersburg Chief of Police.

“This is a major victory for the St. Pete community,” said ATF Tampa Field Division’s Special Agent in Charge Kirk Howard. “We’re proud to have contributed to putting this notorious and violent triggerpuller in federal prison for a long time.”

This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the St. Petersburg Police Department. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David P. Sullivan.

Despite those warnings, Fowler was included in a January 17, 2025 executive grant of clemency that commuted the sentences of more than 2,500 federal inmates.

Importantly, a commutation reduces a sentence but does not erase the conviction, meaning Fowler remained legally culpable and eligible for prosecution under state law following his release.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced Monday that Fowler is now back in custody and will face state-level criminal charges.

“Moments ago, we took Oscar Fowler, a dangerous career criminal who was commuted by Biden’s autopen, into custody to face state charges,” Uthmeier wrote in a public statement.

Fowler is among the few individuals granted clemency who later ended up back behind bars.

The Gateway Pundit reported that Dequan Willard, a 30-year-old Texas man, was granted clemency by Joe Biden. Just seven days later, Willard was arrested again for allegedly violating the conditions of his supervised release.

Another recipient of Biden’s mass clemency, a convicted drug dealer, is back behind bars—this time facing serious drug and firearms charges.

Willie Frank Peterson, 52, was originally convicted of conspiracy to distribute cocaine in 2023 and sentenced to over six years in prison.

Now, less than two months after his release, Peterson was arrested in Dothan, Alabama, and charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and three firearms-related offenses.

Thomas Steven Sanders, a convicted child murderer whose federal death sentence was commuted by Joe Biden in December 2024 through his autopen, has been indicted for first-degree murder by a Louisiana grand jury.

Sanders was originally sentenced to death in 2014 for the 2010 kidnapping and murder of 12-year-old Lexis Roberts of Las Vegas.

An alleged Omaha, Nebraska, gang member who was given a get-out-of-jail card by former President Joe Biden has been arrested after less than five months of freedom.

On Jan. 17, Biden commuted Khyre Holbert’s 20-year sentence to 100 months, according to a federal list of the pardons and commutations.

Holbert is now facing a federal charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm in connection with an Oct. 4 shooting in Omaha that injured a 28-year-old man.

Democrats Select Their “Designated Survivor” for State of the Union Address

Democrats Select Their “Designated Survivor” for State of the Union Address

Democrats Select Their “Designated Survivor” for State of the Union Address
February 24, 2026

Rep. Mike Thompson delivering a message via Mike Thompson’s official YouTube Page

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has officially selected a designated survivor for tomorrow’s State of the Union address.

In a press release, Rep. Mike Thompson (D-Calif.) announced that Rep. Jeffries had selected him as the Democrats’ Congressional “designated survivor.”

As a designated survivor, Thompson will watch the State of the Union address from a secure, undisclosed location to preserve congressional leadership in the event of a catastrophic emergency.

Later in the press release, Thompson used his selection as the designated survivor to attack President Trump.

Per Mike Thompson’s Press Release:

Today, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) announced he was selected by Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries as designated survivor for tomorrow’s State of the Union address. Thompson will watch the speech from a secure, undisclosed location off campus. Thompson released the following statement on what he demands to hear from the President tomorrow:

“Since the day he took office, this president has raised costs for hardworking families, unleashed ICE to terrorize our communities, and threatened unlawful military attacks on foreign countries. He’s made Americans’ lives and our democracy worse off.

“President Trump is unpopular because he’s failed to lower costs, failed to fire Kristi Noem, and failed to follow the rule of law. Americans demand answers when he addresses the nation. We will keep holding him to account in the Congress, in the Courts, and in the court of public opinion.”

House Republicans have not yet announced their designated survivor.

The White House has also not yet announced its designated survivor.

Last year, Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins was selected by President Trump to be the designated survivor.

Unlike the House’s selection of a designated survivor, the White House’s pick serves a far more important role.

Because the State of the Union brings nearly everyone in the presidential line of succession into the same chamber at the U.S. Capitol, one Cabinet official is selected to remain at a secure location and take over the role as the president if those ahead in the line are tragically killed.
