It turns out the grass isn’t greener in Canada; it’s just a lot more expensive.

A far-left activist and self-proclaimed “scholar of the far-right,” who goes by the social media handle “Nope Brigade,” is finding out the hard way that “liberal utopias” still require you to pay your bills.

After spending months fear-mongering about a “looming genocide” under President Trump, the Sociology Ph.D. candidate who studies the “far right,” with a focus on “Christian nationalism,” packed her bags for Canada, only to end up online weeks later begging for discounted housing and complaining about the lack of “free” government services.

Back on December 3, 2024, she uploaded a lengthy video warning that President Donald Trump’s immigration rhetoric was laying the “building blocks to genocide” in the United States, comparing potential deportation policies to the Holocaust and Armenian genocide.

“I can’t stop thinking about what might happen to immigrants once Trump ascends to power, so I would like to give you some insights that I have learned from my genocide class about what that might look like in the United States.

Genocides don’t just happen overnight, out of nowhere. There are building blocks to genocide. These are ideology, context, and a precipitating event.

In this case, you hear Trump talking about immigrants as vermin who are poisoning the blood of our country.

So in this case, the Trump administration is using immigrants as a scapegoat for all of the problems that are actually created by oligarchy and globalization and capitalism and blaming immigrants as taking our jobs and destroying the fabric of our society, right? And that rhetoric will likely increase and become louder. And then we would need a precipitating event.

So in the build up to genocide, there are precursor events. These are often mass murders, massacres that are not genocide outright. But they are done to desensitize the non-targeted population…

At one point, she told followers:

“When you hear mass deportation, I want you to think of Jews in cattle cars… Armenians on death marches… that is what mass deportation is.”

Fast forward to January 21, 2026, just one day after President Trump was sworn back into office. The “Nope Brigade” posted an update from an Airbnb in British Columbia, claiming she was now a “refugee” in Canada.

She later clarified that she is not a refugee but someone who is on a tourist visa.

“To clarify, I am a visitor here until I can figure something more permanent out. Americans can’t claim asylum officially in Canada because the US is considered a safe country. The bureaucracy has not caught up to the reality of what’s happening.”

Comparing herself to Jews fleeing Nazi Germany on the St. Louis, she claimed she was “forced” to leave.

“You know, the Charlie Kirk assassination happened, and that was my crystal knock. I was like, that was it—that was the line.

Seeing the response to that—how they blamed trans people so fast—seeing the rhetoric around any political opposition from the left, you know, like Democrats that are basically centrists, and being somebody who’s actually on the left who would so easily be considered a terrorist because of all of my activism… You know, my partner is a labor organizer and a member of the DSA. We’ve got all of these check marks against us.

And I study this, right? I study Christian nationalism. I’ve studied genocide, you know. I have no illusions that the U.S. is in any way exceptional, that Americans are in any way different. People are like, “Oh, that could never happen here.” And I’m like, it’s already happened.”

The honeymoon period lasted exactly ten days.

On January 31, 2026, the “Nope Brigade” activist admitted that she is now “surviving off savings” and is “horrified” to find that Canada is facing a massive housing and cost-of-living crisis.

Even more shocking to this “intellectual” was the discovery that countries actually have rules for non-citizens. Because she entered on a visitor visa, she is legally barred from working and, wait for it, cannot access the “free” Canadian healthcare system.

After spent months lecturing Americans about “human rights” and “open borders,” the “Nope Brigade” is now begging for “free or below market rate” housing for herself, her partner, and her pets.

Nope Brigade: “I’m a scholar of the far right who has fled the United States to Canada, and I need help. The situation in Canada is absolutely dire for Americans who don’t know. The housing crisis here is worse than in the United States.

I lived in LA for six years, and I have not faced rent as bad as it is here. When my partner, our cat, and our dog fled the United States, we headed north with the goal of being close to where our families are located, which is on the West Coast.

So we are now in British Columbia. More specifically, we are along the Sea-to-Sky Highway in the Greater Vancouver area. We are attempting to find housing on the western side of this region. My partner and I are here on a visitor visa, which allows a possible six-month stay for Americans. However, while you’re here on a visitor visa, you can’t work.

So we are currently surviving off of whatever savings we could put together before we fled the United States—and that’s not terribly much.

In Canada, I think the cost-of-living crisis is actually worse here, especially when you are shut out of the health care system and can’t access any of the resources that Canadians have access to.

That’s understandable; I’m not a citizen of the country, but it is making the financial situation dire because we can’t work. Because there are two adults, a cat, and a dog, we are looking for more than just a room—ideally a one- or two-bedroom for free or below market rates.

I know that’s a huge ask, but that’s what we need. Canadians have been asking where I’m located and what I need, because you all are such lovely human beings. This is the ask: if you could help me by interacting with or reposting this video, I would very much appreciate it to get this out there.

As horrified as I am to be revealing my location, I really am trying to find a way to get us housing. So if you are on Vancouver Island, or in the Vancouver or Surrey area, with a one- or two-bedroom, let us know. We can pay rent, but it would probably have to be below market rate.

The US vaporized another drug boat in the Caribbean on Monday, killing three narco-terrorists.

“On Feb. 23, at the direction of #SOUTHCOM commander Gen. Francis L. Donovan, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations,” SOUTHCOM said.

“Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Caribbean and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations.”

Three male narco-terrorists were killed during this action. No U.S. military forces were harmed,” SOUTHCOM added.

Meanwhile, the Democrats are attacking President Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth for vaporizing the drug boats.

In addition to a previous memo that labeled Fentanyl a chemical weapon to justify the drug boat strikes, President Trump signed an executive order last month designating fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction.

The US Coast Guard has also seized at least two sanctioned Venezuelan oil tankers.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth recently announced that some top drug-traffickers have decided to cease all narcotics operations due to the highly effective kinetic strikes in the Caribbean.

“This is deterrence through strength,” Hegseth said.

But Budapest vowed in advance to block the measures unless Kyiv allows Russian oil deliveries to continue flowing to Hungary and neighboring Slovakia.”

Needless to say, Politico’s reporting still insists on Kiev’s absurd narrative that Russia attacked and destroyed its own pipeline.

This is the very same ridiculous notion that they tried to sell the world when the Nord Stream pipeline was blown up – a crime that German police now say was committed by Ukrainians with links to Kiev regime.

Not to be fooled by this nonsense, Hungary and Slovakia claim Kiev intentionally does not restart the pipeline, endangering the countries’ energy security.

Judge Aileen Cannon on Monday permanently blocked the release of Jack Smith’s report on the classified documents case against President Trump.

Cannon, a Trump appointee, slammed Jack Smith for compiling the Trump report after she dismissed the case.

“Special Counsel Smith and his team went ahead for months, undeterred, preparing [the classified documents report] using discovery collected in connection with this proceeding and expending government funds in the process,” Judge Cannon wrote in a 15-page ruling.

“To say this chronology represents, at a minimum, a concerning breach of the spirit of the Dismissal Order is an understatement, if not an outright violation of it.”

“While it is true that former special counsels have released final reports at the conclusion of their work, it appears they have done so either after electing not to bring charges at all or after adjudications of guilt by plea or trial. The Court strains to find a situation in which a former special counsel has released a report after initiating criminal charges that did not result in a finding of guilt,” Cannon wrote.

A federal judge on Monday agreed to permanently block the release of volume two of former special counsel Jack Smith’s report — centered on President Donald Trump’s handling of classified materials after his first term in office — in a significant victory for the president and his co-defendants.

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, a Trump appointee, granted the president’s request to permanently block the release of the second volume of the report, ruling that its publication would represent a “manifest injustice” both to Trump and the co-defendants in the classified documents case.

“Special Counsel Smith, acting without lawful authority, obtained an indictment in this action and initiated proceedings that resulted in a final order of dismissal of all charges,” Cannon said Monday.

The ruling blocks the Justice Department from “releasing, distributing, conveying, or sharing with anyone outside the Department of Justice any information or conclusions in Volume II or in drafts thereof.”

It also comes just day before Volume II of Smith’s special counsel probe was slated to be released on Tuesday.

Last year Judge Aileen Cannon blocked the Justice Department from sharing Jack Smith’s classified documents report with Congress.

Judge Cannon during a hearing appeared skeptical of Merrick Garland’s plan to give Jack Smith’s Volume 2 final report on Trump’s classified documents case to Congress.

Cannon repeatedly asked DOJ lawyers why they needed to show the classified documents report to lawmakers. The Judge also asked if the final report was safeguarded from being leaked to the public.

“Why is there such urgency to disclose this to Congress right now, prior to the conclusion of the criminal proceeding — which would seem to be the ordinary course?” Cannon asked DOJ attorney Elizabeth Shapiro, according to Politico. “At the end of the day, what’s the upside of doing this right now?”

Cannon said the final report contains information Trump’s lawyers argued were protected under attorney-client privilege.

President Trump on Monday spoke at a White House Angel Families Remembrance Ceremony, where he unveiled a new proclamation, recognizing February 22 as “National Angel Family Day.”

The new holiday, dedicated to the second anniversary of 22-year-old Georgia nursing student Laken Riley’s death, honors “the thousands of American lives stolen from us by criminal illegal aliens and the deadly drugs they bring across our borders.” The proclamation specifically notes the deaths of Laken Riley, 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungary, and Rachel Morin, “who were brutally attacked and murdered by savage illegal aliens,” as well as Matthew Denice, Sarah Root, and Ivory Smith, who were ” killed by drunk-driving illegal aliens.”

During the event on Monday morning, the President announced his new proclamation while touting his success at closing the southern border.

He further highlighted the Laken Riley Act, one of the first bills he signed into law in his second term, which he said resulted in “over 21,000 illegal alien arrests.”

On February 22, two years ago, a brilliant 22 year old nursing student named Laken Hope Riley went out for a run on a college campus in Georgia. Laken was viciously attacked, brutally beaten, and murdered by an illegal alien gang member who the last administration heartlessly released into our country. No problems. Let him in. They let in everybody. They didn’t check anybody. They let in everybody. Among the first bills I signed into law after taking office last year was the Laken Riley act, so proud of it, to ensure illegal alien criminals are rapidly removed from the United States of America if that’s okay with the media. That bill has already been really playing a big role in the life of our country. It’s resulted in over 21,000 illegal alien arrests, 21,000.

Trump then invited Laken Riley’s mother, Allyson Phillips, to the podium to say a few words. She memorialized her daughter as “the most responsible, hard-working, kind, selfless, beautiful Christian,” who “just wanted to go for a run that morning after she’d gotten up at four o’clock the morning before to decorate her roommate’s door for her birthday,” when she was brutally murdered by a savage criminal.

Trump then added, “Laken’s story is even more tragic because her death was completely preventable. This shouldn’t have happened. The guy should never have been here. Not only should her killer not have been released into our country in the first place, but he was released a second time after being arrested in New York City.”

Riley: Well, this is unexpected, but I think that a lot of people feel like that President Trump is maybe different than the version I’ve gotten to know, and I just can’t thank you enough. You have said from the beginning, literally, the day after this happened, that you would not forget about Laken. You weren’t president at that time, and you have not forgotten. You have fought a fight that most people would not want to have to fight. Most people wouldn’t. They would just say it’s just easier not to do this. And President Trump has— you are doing a thankless job that most people just wouldn’t do, and I just can’t thank you enough. There are just not enough words to say, because if you lived the nightmare that we have lived, you understand the importance of the job that he’s doing and securing our nation and fighting for our families because this could be any family. This happened to my family. This could be any one of your families. And Laken was the most responsible, hard working, kind, selfless, beautiful Christian, and she, she wasn’t somebody that put herself in bad positions. She didn’t make bad choices. She was just a good girl, and she just wanted to go for a run that morning after she’d gotten up at four o’clock the morning before to decorate her roommate’s door for her birthday. And she did everything for everyone else. She expected nothing in return. She just wanted to be a good friend and a good sister and a good daughter and a hard working nurse she was working so hard for. And I’m beyond blessed and thankful that you’re honoring not just Laken because she’s one in a ton of people that have suffered at the hands of illegal immigrants. She’s not the only one, and so thank you for honoring all of them, not just Laken, and we’re just beyond grateful. Thank you.

Trump: Thank you very much, amazing Allison. You have to go through this. Doesn’t get that much easier, does it right? Even with time, it’s been a while now, and it doesn’t get that much easier. I don’t know why the news doesn’t want to hear it. The Democrats don’t want to hear it. The radical left, they don’t want to hear it. What’s not to hear? So, Laken’s story is even more tragic because her death was completely preventable. This shouldn’t have happened. The guy should never have been here. Not only should her killer not have been released into our country in the first place, but he was released a second time after being arrested in New York City. Here today is a great gentleman, the police officer who arrested that illegal alien, only to watch him be set free to kill. I mean, he was arrested, and they let him go free. They knew he was trouble, big trouble. Many of them are like that. They release him, knowing he’s going to kill again, but they released him and set him free to kill Laken.
