The SLS rocket and the Orion capsule are ready for the historic mission.

It’s been fifty-four years since humans have been to the moon, but if all goes well, the wait is about to be over soon.

NASA announced that it successfully conducted a fueling test of the powerful SLS rocket, and with that, it’s aiming to launch the Artemis II mission in two weeks, on March 6.

The mission will send four astronauts on a historic trip around the moon.

CBS News reported:

“Artemis II commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, mission specialist Christina Koch and Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen are expected to enter pre-flight medical quarantine Friday evening at the Johnson Space Center in Houston.

An early evening shot of NASA’s huge Space Launch System rocket atop pad 39B at the Kennedy Space Center, awaiting launch on a mission to send four astronauts on a flight around the far side of the moon.”

Astronauts from the Artemis II mission pose in space suits with the moon in the background, highlighting NASA's goal of lunar exploration for humanity.

Next week, a two-day review will assess if all systems are ready for launch.

“The astronauts will fly to the Kennedy Space Center on March 1 to begin final preparations and enjoy a bit of private time with their families.

They will be the first astronauts to be shot into space by a gargantuan SLS rocket, the most powerful operational launcher in the world. They will be the first to fly aboard an Orion deep space crew capsule and the first people to leave low-Earth orbit for a trip to the moon in more than half a century.”

The Artemis II crew will travel farther from Earth than anyone in human history – that’s history in the making.

The US Military announced on Friday that another drug smuggling vessel was destroyed by Joint Task Force Southern Spear in the Eastern Pacific.

Three were killed in the strike, US Southern Command said.

At least 43 drug boats have now been taken out, and at least 147 narco-terrorists have been killed in the Eastern Pacific and the Caribbean Sea under Operation Southern Spear since September 2, 2025.

At least seven drug boats have been taken out by US forces since Venezuela’s illegitimate President was captured last month, as the United States continues its war on drug traffickers in the Southern Hemisphere.

US Southern Command said in a statement:

On Feb. 20, at the direction of #SOUTHCOM commander Gen. Francis L. Donovan, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations. Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations. Three male narco-terrorists were killed during this action. No U.S. military forces were harmed.

This comes after Southern Command executed strikes on three drug boats in the Eastern Pacific on Monday.

Two additional boats were hit last week.

BREAKING: Deputy AG Todd Blanche Immediately Fires Litigator Appointed by Virginia Judges to Replace Lindsey Halligan as Interim US Attorney

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche wasted no time and promptly fired a litigator appointed by Virginia judges to replace Lindsey Halligan as Interim US Attorney.

In November, Judge Cameron McGowan Currie, a Clinton appointee, dismissed the criminal cases against James Comey and Letitia James.

Judge Currie also ruled that US Attorney Lindsey Halligan was invalidly appointed.

Pam Bondi previously jumped into action and retroactively gave Lindsey Halligan a new position of “special attorney” in response to Comey’s effort to remove Halligan.

As a “special attorney,” Halligan has the authority to conduct legal proceedings before judges and magistrates.

However, Judge Currie said Halligan cannot serve as Interim US Attorney.

Lindsey Halligan eventually stepped down and federal judges in Virginia posted a job opening for her position.

On Friday, Virginia judges in the US District Court appointed James Hundley, a litigator with more than 35 years experience as Interim US Attorney to replace Lindsey Halligan.

Todd Blanche immediately stepped in and fired James Hundley.

Critics say the courts have the authority to appoint an interim US Attorney.

Earlier this week Todd Blanche fired another US Attorney appointed by judges in New York.

JUST IN: Trump Hits Back at Supreme Court With Executive Order Imposing 10% Tariffs on ALL Countries – Slams SCOTUS Justices and Vows to Bring in “Even More Money Than We Were Taking in Before”
February 20, 2026

Donald Trump gestures while speaking at a press conference, flanked by flags and a government official in a formal setting.

President Trump on Friday followed through on his earlier promise to sign an executive order imposing a 10% global tariff on every country importing goods into the United States.

This comes in response to the Supreme Court invalidating his tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).

Trump signed the executive order, titled “Imposing a Temporary Import Surcharge to Address Fundamental International Payments Problems,” setting up the 10% ad valorem tariffs to take effect on February 24.

“The United States plays a pivotal role in shaping the global economy. At the same time, the United States faces various threats to its own economy and national interests. Sometimes, the United States faces fundamental international payments problems, such as large and serious balance-of-payments deficits, an imminent and significant depreciation of its currency in foreign exchange markets, or an international balance-of-payments disequilibrium,” he writes in the order. “These problems can, among other things, endanger the ability of the United States to finance its spending, erode investor confidence in the economy, and distress the financial markets.”

The following goods are exempt from the tariffs, according to the order:

(a) certain critical minerals;
(b) metals used in currency and bullion;
(c) energy and energy products;
(d) natural resources and fertilizers that cannot be grown, mined, or otherwise produced in the United States or grown, mined, or otherwise produced in sufficient quantities to meet domestic demand;
(e) certain agricultural products, including beef, tomatoes, and oranges;
(f) pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical ingredients;
(g) certain electronics;
(h) passenger vehicles, certain light trucks, certain medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, buses, and certain parts of passenger vehicles, light trucks, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, and buses;
(i) certain aerospace products;
(j) information materials, donations, and accompanied baggage;
(k) all articles and parts of articles currently or that later become subject to additional import restrictions imposed pursuant to section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962, as amended (19 U.S.C. 1862) (section 232);
(l) articles that are entered free of duty as a good of Canada or Mexico under the terms of general note 11 to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), including any treatment set forth in subchapter XXIII of chapter 98 and subchapter XXII of chapter 99 of the HTSUS, as related to the Agreement between the United States of America, United Mexican States, and Canada; and
(m) textile and apparel articles that are entered free of duty as a good of Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, or Nicaragua under the Dominican Republic-Central America Free Trade Agreement.

The new tariffs fall under his authority under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, which allows him to impose tariffs of up to 15% for 150 days with few limitations.

Trump told reporters earlier that the ruling actually confirms his authority to impose tariffs. “I don’t think the court meant that, but it’s the way it is,” he said.

“Effective immediately, all national security tariffs under Section 232 and existing Section 301 tariffs— they’re existing, they’re there— remain in place, fully in place, and in full force and effect. Today, I will sign an order to impose a 10% global tariff under Section 122, over and above our normal tariffs already being charged,” he said.

“And we’re also initiating several Section 301 and other investigations to protect our country from unfair trading practices of other countries and companies.”

“This is something we could have done, as Justice Kavanaugh said, we could have done this originally, but we’re doing it now. And the numbers could be far greater than the hundreds of billions we’ve already taken in,” he continued.

WATCH:

Trump made the announcement on Truth Social on Friday evening.

“It is my Great Honor to have just signed, from the Oval Office, a Global 10% Tariff on all Countries, which will be effective almost immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP,” he said.

Trump also slammed the six Supreme Court Justices who voted to bar his tariff authority.

“We will do everything possible to take in even more money than we were taking in before,” he added.

Those members of the Supreme Court who voted against our very acceptable and proper method of TARIFFS should be ashamed of themselves. Their decision was ridiculous but, now the adjustment process begins, and we will do everything possible to take in even more money than we were taking in before!

Trump also slammed the Supreme Court on social media shortly after it released the decision earlier on Friday.
