Governor Kathy Hochul speaks at a Politico event, while a young man listens attentively from another setting, showcasing engagement in political discussions.

You can’t make this stuff up.

NY Governor Kathy Hochul is now admitting that the rich are leaving her state in exchange for Republican states like Texas and Florida. She says that New York needs some generous rich people to support their social programs, aka welfare.

The Gateway Pundit reported,

During a recent public appearance, New York’s Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul admitted that the state is in dire straits due to the fact that so many wealthy people have fled to other places. She is begging them to come back and help fund the state’s ‘generous’ welfare programs.

One of the main points of separating the country into states was to inspire competition. The idea was that states that delivered more for less would benefit from increased population and the tax dollars that went with it.

Hochul is admitting that New York is losing this race. Red states like Texas and Florida do not need to beg people to move there. People do it voluntarily because it’s a better deal for their hard work and tax dollars.

In other words, Kathy Hochul is already running out of other people’s money.

It’s the same thing we see happening to California. You can only tax people at an extremely high rate without delivering for so long. Eventually, people are going to pack up and move to a state that charges lower taxes and delivers more services and freedom.

Democrat states are set to learn costly lessons if they keep making innovators and business owners public enemy #1.

Why would anyone want to live in a place where the political leadership has decided to extract their money and redistribute it?

Senate Committee Narrowly Advances Markwayne Mullin’s DHS Nomination with Help from Democrat

Speaker presenting at a conference, wearing a navy vest and white shirt, with a microphone attached, against a colorful background.

The Senate Homeland Security Committee voted to advance the nomination of DHS Secretary nominee Sen. Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma on Thursday, by a razor-thin margin of 8-7.

GOP Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, who serves as the Committee’s Chairman, was the only Republican to vote “no.”

Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman voted “yes,” putting Mullins over the top, according to Fox News.

Mullins will replace former DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, whom President Donald Trump fired earlier this month amid bipartisan concerns about her ability to lead and her use of taxpayer funds.

Republican Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina addressed reports about Noem spending over $200 million on ad campaigns during her tenure, and said she plans to investigate the matter through subpoenas by the House Oversight Committee.

The vote to advance Mullins came just one day after Paul accused him of being a liar in his opening remarks.

He also expressed concern about Mullins having “anger issues” and said he might not be the right person to lead such powerful agencies.

Paul referenced an incident from 2017 when he was physically assaulted by one of his neighbors, and said Mullins told other people that he deserved to be attacked, after the two had a disagreement over legislation.

“You went on to brag that you’d already told me to my face that you completely understood and approved of the assault,” the libertarian Republican said. “Well, that’s a lie. You got a chance today. You can either continue to lie, or you can correct the record,” the libertarian Republican said.

Mullins defended himself and said Paul’s statements about him being a liar were inaccurate, but offered an olive branch while promising to deliver for the American people.

He explained the job of DHS secretary is “bigger than the partisan bickering that we have,” and that he’s willing to “set it aside” if Paul is willing to make peace and let him “earn” it.

“Let me earn your respect. Let me earn the job. I won’t fail you. I won’t back down from a challenge. And I also admit when I’m wrong. I’m not perfect. I don’t claim to be perfect. I make mistakes, just like anybody else,” Mullins stated. “But mistakes, if you own them, you can learn from them, and you can move ahead. And I’ll make that commitment to you.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing backlash after invoking a historical analogy that appears to suggest that brute force, not morality, ultimately determines the fate of nations.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu broke his silence regarding unfounded allegations after former National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent, who quit on Wednesday, stated in his resignation letter that Iran posed no imminent threat to America and asserted we started the war because of “pressure from Israel” and its “powerful American lobby.”

NETANYAHU: “I would like to close these opening remarks with one other (piece of) fake news. And that is that Israel somehow dragged the US into a conflict with Iran.

Does anyone really think someone can tell President Trump what to do? Come on.

President Trump always makes his decisions on what he thinks is good for America and what is also good for future generations.”

In the same speech, Netanyahu delivered a message about the nature of global conflict, warning that moral clarity alone is not enough to survive in today’s world.

“You know, if people want to be naive, then they don’t see the kind of world we’re living in. In this world, it’s not enough to be moral. It’s not enough to be just. It’s not enough to be right,” he said.

Netanyahu referenced The Lessons of History, the well-known 1968 work by historian Will Durant (and Ariel Durant), claiming the book proves a grim reality.

Netanyahu, in his interpretation, said:

Netanyahu:
You know, one of the greatest writers of the 20th century—someone that I admire a lot—was the historian Will Durant. Now, he wrote many volumes; I read most of them. He also wrote The Lessons of History, a very brief 100-page book, in which he said, well, history proves that, unfortunately and unhappily, Jesus Christ has no advantage over Genghis Khan.

Because if you are strong enough, ruthless enough, powerful enough, evil will overcome good. Aggression will overcome moderation. So you have no choice.

If you look at the world as it is today, you have to be blind not to see that the democracies, led by the United States, have to reassert their will to defend themselves.

Durant said in his book:

“Does history support a belief in God? If by God we mean not the creative vitality of nature but a supreme being intelligent and benevolent, the answer must be a reluctant negative.

Like other departments of biology, history remains at bottom a natural selection of the fittest individuals and groups in a struggle wherein goodness receives no favors, misfortunes abound, and the final test is the ability to survive.

Add to the crimes, wars, and cruelties of man the earthquakes, storms, tornadoes, pestilences, tidal waves, and other “acts of God” that periodically desolate human and animal life, and the total evidence suggests either a blind or an impartial fatality, with incidental and apparently haphazard scenes to which we subjectively ascribe order, splendor, beauty, or sublimity.

If history supports any theology this would be a dualism like the Zoroastrian or Manichaean: a good spirit and an evil spirit battling for control of the universe and men’s souls. These faiths and Christianity (which is essentially Manichaean) assured their followers that the good spirit would win in the end; but of this consummation history offers no guarantee.

Nature and history do not agree with our conceptions of good and bad; they define good as that which survives, and bad as that which goes under; and the universe has no prejudice in favor of Christ as against Genghis Khan.”

In his view, the only way for “Christ” (morality) to survive in a world of “Genghis Khans” (aggressors) is if “Christ” picks up a sword.

BREAKING: Comey Subpoenaed in Sprawling Russiagate Investigation
March 19, 2026

Former FBI Director James Comey has been subpoenaed in the Justice Department’s Russiagate investigation.

In July, it was reported that former FBI Director James Comey and John Brennan were under FBI investigation over their involvement in Russiagate.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe referred Brennan and Comey for prosecution last summer.

US Attorney in the Southern District of Florida Jason Reding Quiñones is in charge of the investigation.

According to Axios and Fox News, Comey was issued a grand jury subpoena last week.

Axios reported:

Former FBI Director James Comey has been subpoenaed in the wide-ranging “grand conspiracy” case against the ex-officials who investigated and prosecuted President Trump, two sources with knowledge of the situation tell Axios.

Why it matters: The investigation has produced more than 130 subpoenas since cranking up last year, the sources say, and targets top officials who worked under former presidents Obama and Biden.

  • The officials, including Comey, have all decried the investigation as political persecution and lawfare.

Zoom in: The Trump administration’s grand conspiracy theory posits that Democratic officials bent the rules, broke the law and lied under oath to investigate, prosecute and otherwise undermine Trump from his election in 2016 through his federal indictments in 2023.

  • The Comey subpoena, issued last week, relates to his alleged role in the drafting of a January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) concerning Russia’s election interference that favored Trump.

In November, a federal grand jury subpoenaed John Brennan, former FBI lawyer Lisa Page and former FBI counterintelligence special agent Peter Strzok.

John Brennan

Peter Strzok was fired from the FBI in 2018 for violating bureau policies after he launched the ‘Crossfire Hurricane‘ Trump-Russia probe in July 2016.

Strzok and his paramour, Lisa Page, discussed an “insurance policy” to keep Trump out of office.

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office…that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected…but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” Strzok text messaged to Page in an Aug. 15, 2016 exchange, referring to Andrew McCabe.

“It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40,” Strzok added.

Other profanity-laced text messages between Strzok and Page showed their contempt for Donald Trump.

Lisa Page was also fired.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has broken his silence regarding unfounded allegations that the Jewish State strong-armed President Trump into going to war with Iran.

As TGP readers know, the ongoing war with Iran has divided big-name conservative influencers (though ordinary GOPers remain solidly behind Trump). Some have claimed that Netanyahu is controlling Trump and actually calling the shots when it comes to American foreign policy.

Disgraced former National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent, who quit on Wednesday, piled on as well.

He stated in his resignation letter that Iran posed no imminent threat to America and asserted we started the war because of “pressure from Israel” and its “powerful American lobby.”

Netanyahu decided to respond to these allegations during a press conference on Thursday. He called any claim that Israel forced America to go to war with Iran just another piece of fake news.

The Israeli Prime Minister then posed a question that almost everyone would say no to: Does anyone think Trump takes orders from other human beings?

Netanyahu closed by praising Trump for always putting America first.

Does anyone really think someone can tell President Trump what to do? Come on.

President Trump always makes his decisions on what he thinks is good for America and what is also good for future generations.

Netanyahu is correct, and anyone who doubts him should look at what Trump said after Israel hit a major facility known as the South Pars Gas Field in Iran:

“NO MORE ATTACKS WILL BE MADE BY ISRAEL pertaining to this extremely important and valuable South Pars Field unless Iran unwisely decides to attack a very innocent, in this case, Qatar – In which instance the United States of America, with or without the help or consent of Israel, will massively blow up the entirety of the South Pars Gas Field at an amount of strength and power that Iran has never seen or witnessed before,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
