The body of a missing American student has been found in Barcelona, Spain.

James Paul Gracey, 20, went missing on Tuesday night after spending time at Shoko, a night club near the beach in Barcelona.

Police found Gracey’s body at Somorrostro Beach Thursday evening.

NBC News reported:

James Paul Gracey, a University of Alabama student who disappeared Tuesday from a Barcelona nightclub, was found dead, police in Spain said Thursday.

His body was found at Somorrostro Beach around 6 p.m. local time on Thursday, Catalan police told NBC News.

Gracey, a junior accounting major, was last seen at Shoko, a beachfront nightclub in Villa Olimpica, his parents, Taras and Therese Gracey, said in a statement.

Gracey was wearing a white shirt, dark pants, and a chain with a gold rhinestone cross when he went missing.

Airports across the country felt the pinch Tuesday after 2,700 Transportation Security Agency officers, equal to 10 percent of the workforce, didn’t show up.

“Atlanta and New Orleans saw the biggest impacts … with nearly 40 percent of officers calling out in each airport,” according to a report by ABC News.

New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport saw 30 percent of its agents call out, while nearly 41 percent of officers at Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport called in sick.

Normally, only about 2 percent of officers are absent on a typical day, the network reported.

The absences coincided with TSA employees receiving their first $0 paycheck due to the partial government shutdown in an ongoing partisan battle in Washington, D.C., over the Department of Homeland Security.

Staff shortages were already causing delays, but now things appear to be getting worse.

Acting Deputy Administrator Adam Stahl told ABC that smaller airports might be forced to close security lanes and could even halt operations entirely if these trends continue.

“Over a hundred airports in the United States have around one or two lanes,” he said. “And if we have a certain amount of callouts increase, we might have to quite literally collapse those lanes and close those lanes, which could temporarily halt operations at that airport.”

A DHS spokesperson placed the blame squarely on congressional Democrats for continually causing government shutdowns and holding federal money hostage.

“The Democrats’ reckless DHS shutdown is causing TSA officers to go without pay for the third time in nearly six months,” the agency said in a statement to ABC News.

It continued, “Many TSA officers cannot pay their rent, buy food, or afford to put gas in their cars — forcing them to call out sick from work. Now, Americans are facing HOURS long waits at airports across the country. Democrats must reopen DHS now.”

President Donald Trump has also blamed Democratic lawmakers for recent travel issues on social media this past week.

“The crazed Democrats are not allowing TSA Agents to get paid. The deal was made a long time ago,” he wrote Monday on Truth Social. “They broke it in order to get money for Sanctuary Cities and illegal aliens, many of them hardened criminals. The Radical Left Democrats are hopeless!!!”

In a separate post Wednesday, the commander in chief added, “The [Democrats’] purposeful DHS SHUTDOWN is causing chaos at the airports. These Lunatics are being totally unreasonable in their Radical Left asks. They are FULLY TO BLAME, and must pay a big price, for the good of our Country, in the Midterm Elections.”

The Times reported:

“The police inquiry into Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is likely to widen beyond the offence of misconduct in public office, The Times has learnt.

Andrew is set to be investigated over other potential corruption offences on top of a scoping inquiry into alleged sex trafficking, police sources said.”

Detectives at Thames Valley police are broadening their investigation beyond the initial crime.

“According to emails in the Epstein files, a massive cache of information released by the US Department of Justice, Andrew appeared to have forwarded official reports of trips to Singapore, Hong Kong and Vietnam in 2010 and 2011.”

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders says she was asked to leave a Little Rock restaurant after staff claimed her presence made employees uncomfortable.

Sanders described the incident, which took place at The Croissanterie restaurant in Little Rock, in a post on the X platform.

“Last week I was having lunch with two other moms at a restaurant when the owner approached a member of the State Police Executive Protection Detail and said my presence made their employees feel threatened and told us to leave,” she wrote.

“Arkansans are known for their warm hospitality, and while that restaurant didn’t meet that standard, my administration will continue to focus on lifting Arkansans up, not tearing others down.

According to her office, the group had been dining for roughly an hour and fifteen minutes, had already paid their bill, and had tipped staff before the request was made.

The business said it was initially “surprised and uncertain how best to respond” when it became aware the governor was dining there.

“Allowing her to stay risked being perceived as a lack of support for the community that makes up the majority of our team, as well as their families and friends,” the restaurant said in a statement.

However, they ultimately made the decision to “support our employees and guests who expressed they were uncomfortable.”

“We regret being placed in this position and having to make a difficult decision,” the statement said.

“However, we stand by our choice to support our employees and guests.”

As they exited, an individual near the staff allegedly shouted at Sanders and made a crude hand gesture in the governor’s direction.

The incident echoes a similar episode in 2018, when Sanders was asked to leave a restaurant in Virginia while serving as White House press secretary.

“Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for @POTUS and I politely left,” Sanders said at the time.

“Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully, and will continue to do so.”
