In a case that highlights the danger and absurdity of sanctuary city and soft-on-crime policies in New York City, a 31-year-old transgender illegal alien from Colombia pleaded guilty Tuesday to raping a 14-year-old boy in a Manhattan bodega bathroom but will serve no additional jail time.

Nicol Alexandra Contreras-Suarez, a biological male who dresses up as a woman, has pleaded guilty to second-degree rape in Manhattan Supreme Court for the sexual assault of the boy inside the restroom of a bodega across the street from Thomas Jefferson Park in East Harlem last year.

According to the New York Post, Contreras-Suarez followed the 14-year-old victim into the bodega bathroom and raped him.

The boy was able to leave the bathroom afterward and flag down bystanders, who alerted police.

Contreras-Suarez was arrested the next day.

However, under the plea deal struck by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, Contreras-Suarez was promised a sentence of just six months in jail, time he has already served while awaiting trial.

The illegal alien rapist is scheduled to be sentenced on April 27, at which point he could be released unless federal immigration authorities take him into custody for deportation.

A spokesperson for the Manhattan DA’s Office confirmed the resolution was reached “in close consultation with the victim’s family” to spare the teenager from having to testify before a grand jury or at a full trial, according to the Post report.

The office added in a statement, “We expect the defendant to remain detained and be deported following sentencing, due to the felony conviction.”

ICE has a detainer in place for Contreras-Suarez and did not respond to The Post’s requests for comment on the plea outcome.

Contreras-Suarez illegally entered the United States in March 2023 and was released into the country by Customs and Border Protection, according to a Department of Homeland Security press release.

He later racked up warrants in Massachusetts for armed robbery, prostitution, and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Due to sanctuary policies in Massachusetts, the sexual predator was released and went on to commit the New York rape.

“This creep should’ve never been released into our country,” said then-DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin in a press release last summer. “Thanks to the failed sanctuary policies and Biden’s open-border agenda, this serial criminal was freed to prey on innocent American children – but that ends now. ICE will not allow predators like Contreras-Suarez to terrorize American citizens.”

ICE lodged a formal immigration detainer with Manhattan Central Booking in February 2025, shortly after the bodega rape.

Contreras-Suarez has been held at Rikers Island pending the outcome of the case.

I’d really hoped that I was beyond talking about Democratic U.S. House candidate Bobby Pulido’s strange public sex habits. As much as I want the guy to lose, I also don’t want to lose my lunch, either.

Thus, when the Tejano music star and the multiple Latin Grammy-winning entertainer got busted for old Twitter posts in which he both linked to pornography and suggested other bored folk search it out, I’d hoped that was the end of it.

After all, it was old stuff, he was supposed to be the new moderate face of the party in Texas, and surely he’d disavow thoughts like his 2014 statement that “It’s impossible to have Twitter and not watch porn.” (I’ve somehow managed, but I guess the Pulido fanbase is a different animal entirely.)

Alas, I was mistaken. Last week, the New York Post unearthed an old music video in which Pulido, who trails incumbent GOP Rep. Monica De La Cruz in the polls, played a serial pervert who, among other things, pleasures himself in public.

From the New York Post:

In a music video for his song “Dias de Ayer,” Pulido pantomimed as multiple characters including an exhibitionist, who wraps himself in a red blanket while repeatedly masturbating and even exposing himself to a woman while apparently on a private jet flight.

The two-time Latin Grammy winner seemingly caused such a stir with the 2010 video — which also displayed him as a homosexual admirer of the serial exhibitionist figure — that he faced questions from the Mexican press about his sexuality the same month it was released on an eponymous album.

“People are opening up more. I can even tell you that when I started my career, I saw the whole situation (of gays) very differently. At first, they said I was gay; there were rumors that I was like that,” Pulido told the outlet El Norte in a translated Spanish language March 2010 interview.

Oh yeah, because this makes him look so much better:

It’s worth noting too that the song “Dias de Ayer,” which translates to “Days of Yesterday,” has little to do with gender-bending onanistic creeps.

The chorus, translated:

When they’d spend their time drinking Coca-Cola
And a jacket was part of the outfit!

When they’d throw a log on the fire

And now we’re all committing illegal sex acts on planes, I guess? You got me. Apparently, Pulido’s dias de hoy are a lot weirder than those dias de ayer.

Let’s face the facts: Nobody really did that much digging into this guy’s personal life when he announced that he was interested in entering Texas politics, because of course the Democrats didn’t. Pulido might not be a household name for most of us, but he’s a mega-star in the Tejano music scene.

Think of what Modest Mouse or Wilco would be to aging New York City hipsters with a trust fund and too many pairs of Adidas shell toes. If those bands’ lead singers (yes, I know their names are Isaac Brock and Jeff Tweedy, and yes, I own a pair of Adidas shell-toes — but no trust fund!) were to announce their intention to flip a red Staten Island seat blue, nobody would care that both men have done enough drugs to clear out several Rite-Aids. (And yes, I also know that Tweedy is now sober. In short, I’ve wasted too many hours browsing Pitchfork.)

Similarly, nobody decided to look into Pulido’s background — which appears to now be a problem, since while everyone loves a good rehab comeback story, nobody feels quite the same way about serial perverts walking the straight and narrow.

Call it hypocrisy, but people feel more comfortable with people who used to swallow a handful or two of Vicodin than with pornhounds who portrayed themselves as criminal sex perverts in a music video for a song that had almost nothing to do with that.

A Democrat-funded poll last September found Pulido behind Rep. De La Cruz by three points. If she wants to increase that margin exponentially, she should buy television spots featuring “Dias de Ayer” in its entirety, with the words “this is the freak I’m running against” superimposed on the video. If that lead isn’t double-digits by the end of the week, the people of Texas’ 15th Congressional District have lost their ever-loving minds.

Of course, that’s part of the problem. This is what Democrats’ new blood looks like — the best they’ve got. They’re freaks, libertines, and perverts. It’s what happens when your ideology is revolutionary and anchors outside of reality; eventually the executors of that ideology revolt their way outside of reality themselves, which is when people like this start showing up.

The fact that Pulido was referred to as moderate is extremely telling about the current state of the Democrat establishment. What’s scary is that there’s probably worse to come.

The “tolerant” left is at it again, and this time, it’s coming from the “Golden Years” crowd.

Two elderly leftists in Arlington Heights, Illinois, have been arrested and charged after a months-long investigation into the disgusting vandalism of the Republicans of Wheeling Township headquarters.

According to the Arlington Heights Police Department, 72-year-old Brock McNerney and 69-year-old Moisette McNerney were taken into custody on Monday in connection with the defacement of the headquarters last January.

The pair now face misdemeanor charges of criminal damage to property and criminal defacement of property under Illinois law. Authorities say the arrests were made without incident, and the suspects were released pending their initial court appearance.

ABC7 Chicago reported:

Surveillance video from the late evening hours of Jan. 25 shows a couple, a man in glasses and a woman, both dressed in black, drawing explicit words and what ABC7 Chicago has been told were several Nazi symbols over the face of Charlie Kirk on the windows in Arlington Heights.

“Charlie Kirk was born in Arlington Heights, and he actually had come through our doors; so, he was initially started off with our organization. So, we’re really kind of deeply saddened to see that,” Deputy Committeeman John Saletta said.

The Republicans of Wheeling Township Office said the alleged vandals drew antisemitic symbols on their building.

Saletta said they put up surveillance cameras after their building was previously vandalized in December.

“It’s obviously highly offensive, and we’re better than this,” Saletta said. “I think that as a nation, you know, we can resolve our differences through dialogue. That’s what Charlie was all about.”

There was supposed to be a debate tonight for the California gubernatorial race but it has been canceled because only white candidates met the criteria for the event.

Millions of Americans tonight are saying – So what? Who even cares about this?

California has massive problems right now. Is this really one of them?

Perhaps this is one of the reasons that California is bleeding population for the first time in history. Because the people in charge are obsessing over skin color instead of the crazy high taxes and homes that are still not rebuilt more than a year after the wildfires.

A California gubernatorial debate was canceled just hours before it was set to occur on Tuesday after mounting criticism that only white candidates in the crowded field had qualified for the event.

The criteria to participate in the debate, which was set to be co-sponsored by the University of Southern California and the Los Angeles TV station KABC, had emerged in recent days as a source of controversy in the wide-open race to replace Gov. Gavin Newsom. The sprawling field includes eight prominent Democrats and two major Republicans, as well as several other lesser-known candidates.

USC had faced condemnation for using polling and fundraising criteria for participation in the debate that had resulted in the exclusion of all the nonwhite gubernatorial candidates.

In a statement from late Monday night, USC said that the “concerns about the selection criteria” for the debate had “created a significant distraction from the issues that matter to voters.”

“Unfortunately, USC and KABC have not been able to reach an agreement on expanding the number of candidates at tomorrow’s debate. As a result, USC has made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s debate and will look for other opportunities to educate voters on the candidates and issues,” the university said in that statement.

The left’s obsession with DEI and race is destroying the country. The candidates for governor should be slugging it out, offering ideas for how to fix the problems there, but they can’t because if only white candidates qualify for the event, it’s racist.

It is AMAZING that Democrat Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut said this out loud.

During an appearance on MSNOW, he actually said that illegals are the people Democrats care about the most. They have shown this as a party over and over again in the last two years, but it’s still incredible to hear one of them slip like this and say it out loud.

The clip is from 2024 and is going viral now because it was shared on Twitter/X today but he could have said this just yesterday. It’s as true now as it was in 2024.

A resurfaced post by Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy discussing the people Democrats “care about most” is sparking social media outrage from conservatives, making the case it points to their priorities in the current fight on Department of Homeland Security funding.

In the clip, posted on Monday night by the conservative influencer account End Wokeness, MSNBC host Chris Hayes asked Murphy in 2024 about negotiations between Democrats and Republicans happening at the time about a border security bill. Hayes pressed Murphy on why Democrats were pushing to get funding for Ukraine instead of pushing for a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, as the party had done in the past.

“Well, I mean, Chris, that’s been a failed play for 20 years,” Murphy replied. “So you are right that that has been the Democratic strategy for 30 years, maybe, and it has failed to deliver for the people we care about most, the undocumented Americans that are in this country.”
