Seattle’s new socialist Mayor Katie Wilson recently laughed when describing the idea of millionaires leaving the city over new and higher taxes supported by her and her cohorts, saying ‘Bye!’ as she shrugged it off glibly.

Like so many places currently under Democrat rule, Seattle and the state of Washington are looking to ‘tax the rich’ to pay for their new Democratic Socialist utopia where everything is ‘free’ because ‘the rich’ are being forced to pay for it.

History has shown that this approach has a funny way of not working out too well, as many of the people with real wealth simply leave, taking their tax dollars with them.

Mayor Wilson doesn’t seem too concerned. Watch:

Starbucks Coffee, one of the great success stories of the Pacific Northwest, is already signaling an interest in moving to greener pastures.

KIRO News reports:

Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson called for a Starbucks boycott. Starbucks called Nashville

Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson’s first move after winning the election was calling for a Starbucks boycott. Starbucks’ first move after the income tax passed was calling Nashville. Boeing left years ago. Amazon split. And the billionaire who spent millions building the progressive tax agenda that helped get us here says virtually every wealthy friend he has is already gone or planning to leave.

His name is Nick Hanauer. And he’s worth listening to.

He didn’t just get rich and stay quiet. He helped build the progressive tax framework Olympia runs on today. He spent millions pushing Seattle’s $15 minimum wage. He bankrolled the campaign to pass Washington’s capital gains tax. He wrote a famous essay warning his fellow billionaires that inequality would lead to pitchforks if they didn’t start paying more. He coined the term “middle-out economics” and appeared in Robert Reich’s documentary, arguing that prosperity requires massive investment in the middle class.

His whole brand, for years, was: I’m rich, and I’m telling you the rich need to pay more.

He was the billionaire giving cover to the progressive agenda. The architect.

And this is what he told GeekWire about Washington’s new income tax: “Virtually every wealthy friend I have has either left or is planning to. It’s a catastrophe.”

It’ll be fun to see if Mayor Wilson is still laughing a year or two from now.

A DIFFERENT COUNTRY: Watch Johnny Carson Open the 1981 Oscars After President Ronald Reagan Was Shot (VIDEO)

For days now, people across the country have been discussing the disgusting comments by late night host Kimmy Kimmel, who like Stephen Colbert, has turned his show into a personal hate machine against President Trump and is now claiming that his line about First Lady Melania looking like a ‘widow’ was just a joke.

In response, an old clip of beloved late night host Johnny Carson has been going viral on social media. It shows Carson opening the 1981 Oscar Awards show right after President Ronald Reagan was shot and it reminds people of a very different time in this country.

Carson never used his position or his show to advance his personal political beliefs. Most people did not even know what Carson’s politics were, and there was a reason for that. He did not want them to. Carson wanted to appeal to all Americans.

FOX News did a report on this viral clip:

Resurfaced clip of Johnny Carson’s grace after Reagan shooting contrasts with Kimmel

Nearly half a century ago, comedian Johnny Carson chose unity over punchlines after an assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan.

A clip comparing Carson’s 1981 Oscars monologue to reactions to a recent attempt on President Donald Trump’s life has drawn nearly 800,000 views online.

“I’m sure that all of you here and most of you watching tonight understand why we delayed this program for 24 hours,” Carson said in the video. “Because of the incredible events of yesterday, that old adage, the show must go on, seemed relatively unimportant.”…

There are clear differences between the attempt on Reagan and Trump. Reagan was seriously wounded and returned to the White House after 12 days in the hospital.

“The Academy, ABC television and all of us connected with the show felt because of the uncertain outcome as of this time yesterday, it would have been inappropriate to stage a celebration,” Carson added.

The host noted the president’s resilience, saying he was in “excellent condition” and still “conducting business.” He shared that Reagan was making jokes from his hospital bed while struggling to speak.

“You must remember, this is a man who yesterday, while he was in the hospital, unable to speak, wrote on a sheet of paper, ‘All things considered, I’d rather be in Philadelphia.’ So tonight, the show does go on,” Carson said.

Watch the clip, this is amazing:

Carson was a man of such class.

Can we get back to this America?

New York City’s new Democratic Socialist (communist) Mayor Zohran Mamdani is already running out of other people’s money.

Just three months after being sworn in and a campaign full of promises of free this and free that, Mamdani has declared that the city is in a ‘budget crisis’ which he claims is of historic magnitude.

He says that the city needs new forms of revenue, which translates roughly to new taxes, and he wants a bailout from the state.

This is just astounding.

New York City has an annual budget of approximately $120 billion. That’s not enough? He can’t make things work with that kind of money?

NBC News in New York reports:

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Council Speaker Julie Menin are urging the State to approve a budget that will help fund the multi-billion budget gap that the city is facing — while supporting the State in extending its final budget deadline to June.

Mamdani and Menin appeared Tuesday in the City Hall rotunda to announce a new agreement to lobby for a $1 billion tax rollback and more State aid.

“New York City faces a budget crisis of historic magnitude,” Mamdani said Tuesday during a joint press conference. “We’ve inherited a deficit larger than any since the Great Recession. Years of mismanagement and chronic under budgeting, alongside a structural imbalance between what New York City sends to the State and what we receive in return, have taken a toll. We cannot close this deficit with savings alone. We need new revenue. And we need a structural reset in our relationship with the State. That is the only way to meet our legal obligation to pass a balanced budget and to do so without imposing a financial burden into the backs of working people.”…

On Tuesday, Mamdani voiced support behind extending the State’s budget deadline from this upcoming Friday to June 12 “because the crisis of this scale cannot be solved without State action.”

See the video below:

What a stark contrast from Mamdani’s campaign promises. Where’s all the free stuff? Where are the lower rents?

It’s almost like none of that was even possible in the first place.

Good luck, New York. You’ll need it.

April 29, 2026

Federal prosecutors will seize James Comey’s book sale profits after he was indicted on two felony counts on charges related to his Trump assassination Instagram post.

The Justice Department issued a forfeiture notice because prosecutors believe Comey posted the ’86 47′ Trump threat to help with sales of his forthcoming book, “Red Verdict.”

“Upon conviction, the defendant shall forfeit to the United States any property, real or personal, which constitutes or is derived from proceeds traceable to the said offense,” the indictment read.

James Comey posted his threatening ‘8647’ Instagram post shortly before his book launch last May.

Fox News confronted Comey at a book signing last year.

“Why do you want to 86 Trump?” the Fox reporter asked Comey.

“I’m not taking questions like that,” Comey said.

“Why would you post that?” Fox asked Comey.

“Can you sign my sea shell too? Which beach do you find a Kamala seashell, an 8647 seashell?” Fox said before he was escorted away.

NOW THAT’S FUNNY: Democrat Party Mouthpiece Stephen Colbert Tells the NY Times He’s ‘Nonpartisan’

Stephen Colbert, host of the soon to be discontinued Late Show, was recently interviewed by the New York Times and had the audacity to claim that he’s nonpartisan. It’s the funniest thing he has said in years.

Colbert has completely ruined the legacy of the Late Show by turning it into his own personal political soapbox that basically functions as a super PAC for the Democrat party. Almost all of his guests are Democrat politicians and he spends every night telling the country how much he hates President Trump.

It’s why the show is losing millions of dollars a year and why it is being taken off the air forever next month.

FOX News reports:

Colbert calls Trump ‘authoritarian’ but rejects ‘partisan’ label in exit interview with NY Times

As talk show host Stephen Colbert prepares to depart from his show, he condemned President Donald Trump during a Tuesday interview with The New York Times.

CBS announced in July that it had canceled “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and that it would officially go off the air in May 2026. Liberal critics have accused CBS and Paramount of ending the show to appease Trump and receive approval for a long-planned merger between Paramount Global and Skydance Media.

Colbert spoke out about the saga in a New York Times interview headlined, “Stephen Colbert Gets Ready to Hang It Up.” When asked by the Times why the FCC and Trump administration are “focused” on him, Colbert argued this is simply authoritarians being authoritarians.

“Authoritarians don’t like anybody who doesn’t give them undue dignity. Comedians are anti-authoritarian by nature. And authoritarians are never going to like anybody to laugh at them,” he said. “The number of newspeople who have said to me or Jon Stewart or any of the guys who do this, ‘God, I wish I could say what you say on air.’ And we can.”

“I think that upsets them,” he added further. “I think it might be upsetting that we really do not live in their world of principalities and powers.”

It’s possible that Colbert is just trolling the public with these claims, as he is so obviously partisan, to a fault.

Few people will be sad to see him leave the airwaves. He is a smug, preachy, unfunny, bore. He took a show that used to be for the enjoyment of the whole country and turned it into something that mocked and belittled the half of the country that doesn’t vote the way he wants them to.

Maybe he can get a new ‘nonpartisan’ show on MSNOW. That’s where he really belongs, anyway.
