Donald Trump speaking at a press conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, addressing the topic of taxation on tips with the presidential seal visible.

President Trump will deliver remarks on his ‘No Tax on Tips’ policy at a roundtable discussion in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Thursday evening.

“While every Democrat voted to raise your taxes, President Trump cut them. Whether you are a server who depends on tips, a factory worker earning overtime, or a senior on a fixed income, the Working Families Tax Cuts are putting more money back in your pocket where it belongs,” the White House said in a statement.

WATCH:

Here’s how the Working Families Tax Cuts is delivering real results for the American people, per the White House:

Bigger Refunds: The average refund this filing season is over $3,400 – 11% higher than last year, and 19% higher than the average return over the prior 4 years.

Broad-Based Relief: This landmark legislation is putting more money back into Americans’ pockets and providing real relief. We’ve seen an overwhelming adoption of the President’s key tax priorities, with 53 million Americans (45% of all filers) benefiting from at least one of President Trump’s signature new tax cuts.

No Tax on Tips: More than six million Americans have claimed No Tax on Tips, with an average deduction of over $7,100, providing meaningful relief to service workers who rely on gratuities.
No Tax on Overtime: Over 25 million Americans have benefited from No Tax on Overtime, with an average deduction of over $3,100. Even legacy media outlets admit this tax provision is wildly
popular, including among Democrats.

No Tax on Social Security: A new deduction made possible by the Working Families Tax Cuts ensures an overwhelming majority of seniors will pay no tax on their Social Security income as a result of deductions exceeding taxable social security income. Over 30 million seniors have claimed this deduction, with an average deduction of over $7,500.

Simpler Filings: Over 105 million filers have claimed the permanently Doubled Standard Deduction, simplifying tax filing for millions across America.

Small Business Relief: Nearly 12 million small business owners are seeing an average tax reduction of nearly $7,000, while the permanent extension of the 20% Qualified Business Income deduction is delivering $4,600 in average relief to eight million entrepreneurs.

Investing in the Next Generation: Parents of nearly five million children have claimed Trump Accounts on their returns – tax advantaged savings accounts that give the next generation a jumpstart on saving.

Enhanced Child Tax Credit: Over 34 million families have claimed the enhanced Child Tax Credit, which is permanently doubled and expanded by the Working Families Tax Cuts.

Made-in-America Tax Breaks: More than one million Americans have claimed No Tax on Car Loan Interest, with an average deduction of over $1,800. This deduction is helping families afford reliable transportation while boosting U.S. auto jobs.

Ensuring Tax Dollars Benefit Americans, Not Illegals: The Working Families Tax Cuts Act ensures American taxpayers are no longer funding benefits for illegals.

Fueling Business Investment: The restoration of immediate deductibility for research and development expenses — applied retroactively — is freeing up $100 billion in prior-year deductions for tens of thousands of businesses, while full expensing allows companies to write off investments immediately, improving cash flow and fueling expansion.

Supporting Family Farms: By raising the death tax exemption—increasing the amount family farms can inherit without paying taxes—two million family farms are being protected from excessive taxation.

Incentivizing Adoption: The Working Families Tax Cuts Act significantly boosted tax incentives for families adopting from foster care, making up to $5,000 of the Adoption Tax Credit refundable.

Improved Housing Affordability: The expanded low-income housing tax credit is incentivizing the construction of affordable homes for American families.

Mugshot of a man in an orange jumpsuit alongside an image of a confrontation outside a building, highlighting law enforcement interactions.

This is the nightmare scenario every American warned about for years of open-border chaos.

A suspect identified as Oliver Valle-Ramos was detained by a local resident after allegedly attempting to break into a home and then targeting vehicles at a nearby business.

He was then handed over to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. Instead of being locked up… he was released.

Days later, the same man walked into a local massage parlor, exposed himself, viciously assaulted a woman, and attempted to rape her.

The Gateway Pundit has obtained the shocking court documents proving it all.

According to the Probable Cause Statement and Felony Complaint, Oliver Valle-Ramos, who has no listed address, is charged with Attempted Rape in the First Degree, Sexual Misconduct in the First Degree, Assault in the Second Degree, and Stealing.

The horrific details, straight from the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s filing:

“Valle-Ramos entered the business claiming neck pain and requested a massage but admitted he had no money to pay. After the massage began, he stood up, pulled down his pants, exposed his genitals, and demanded vaginal intercourse.

When the victim refused, he swept her leg, forced her to the ground, struck her multiple times in the face with an open hand (causing blood from her nose, a swollen upper lip, lacerations inside her lip, and a broken right pinky finger), forcibly pulled down her pants, positioned himself on top of her, and attempted to penetrate.

He was unable to achieve an erection. The victim’s husband walked in and found him on top of her. Valle-Ramos later admitted to police his actions were wrong.”

A judge has now ordered him held without bond as a danger to the community and a flight risk.

But this horror was completely preventable.

A Gateway Pundit reader reached out with the full story, and local hero Shane Wilkinson posted the damning details on Facebook (the post has since gone viral among Missourians furious at the system):

“We caught a guy breaking into cars. We turned him over to police. He’s illegal and was let go.

The next week, he beat and attempted to rape a masseuse. The assault and attempted rape happened the day before yesterday.

We have to get our local law enforcement the resources they desperately need to deal with this problem. This is becoming an epidemic nationwide!

Watch the video: after catching him breaking into the cars, I used the minimal force necessary to detain him until the police arrived.

Then look at the screenshots of what this guy did the following week after being released.

I didn’t think it was going to go this far. I figured he would be in jail and deported before something like this could happen…

Feel free to share to spread awareness! This is not some far-off land — this is here in Missouri, and it is real.

If we don’t do something soon, it will impact every town in America! Please pray for that lady and her family!”

Medicine Under Pressure: Gender Ideology in Clinics and Courts

Medicine Under Pressure: Gender Ideology in Clinics and Courts

Religion and science align on the fact that there are only two sexes. Genesis 1:27 states this plainly, and basic biology confirms that males have XY chromosomes and females have XX chromosomes. Despite this, making such statements publicly has become grounds for termination, expulsion, or lawsuits in the United States.

People and institutions have been sued for refusing to use preferred gender pronouns, with many conservatives arguing, and some courts agreeing, that compelled pronoun use violates the First Amendment.

The medical field has not been immune to gender ideology. The framing “assigned male at birth,” now standard in clinical settings, implies that biological sex is a subjective determination rather than an observed biological fact. More consequentially, courts and insurers have been drawn into litigation by biological males claiming they were denied female medical care, and by biological females identifying as male after being denied sex change procedures.

In Tovar v. Essentia Health, filed in 2016, Brittany Tovar, a nurse practitioner, and her teenage son Reid Olson, a biological female diagnosed with gender dysphoria, sued Essentia Health and its insurer HealthPartners for categorically excluding gender reassignment services from the employee health plan. The case proceeded on an ACA Section 1557 sex discrimination theory and settled out of court, with Essentia and HealthPartners agreeing to cover sex changes going forward.

In Flack v. Wisconsin Department of Health Services, filed in 2017, transgender Medicaid recipients challenged a 1997 Wisconsin regulation that categorically excluded coverage for surgical and hormone treatments for gender dysphoria. In August 2019, a federal judge granted summary judgment to the plaintiffs on all claims, permanently barring Wisconsin Medicaid from enforcing the exclusion. The state did not appeal, and a $2.2 million settlement followed.

In Minton v. Dignity Health, Evan Minton, who was born female but masqueraded as a male, was scheduled by her doctor for a hysterectomy at Mercy San Juan Medical Center, a Catholic hospital near Sacramento, in August 2016. Two days before the procedure, the doctor informed the hospital that she was transgender, and the hospital canceled the surgery. The hospital’s position was that the surgery was elective, part of a “transition,” and that, as a Catholic hospital, they could not participate in sex change operations.

The ACLU filed suit under California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act. The California Court of Appeals ruled in 2019 that Minton had standing to proceed, and in 2021, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear Dignity Health’s appeal, leaving that ruling intact.

In the end, the San Francisco County Superior Court entered the following judgment: “It is adjudged that plaintiff Minton, Evan take nothing from defendant Dignity Health dba Mercy San Juan Medical Center.” Minton lost. She was awarded nothing.

In Hammons v. University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center, the ruling went the other way when a federal court subsequently ruled that the hospital’s refusal to perform a hysterectomy on a woman who dressed as a man violated the Affordable Care Act.

On the insurance side, three transgender women filed a federal class action against Aetna in 2024, alleging the insurer covered facial reconstruction surgeries for non-transgender patients while classifying identical procedures for transgender patients as cosmetic. On March 8, 2026, a federal judge denied Aetna’s motion to dismiss and granted preliminary injunctive relief, requiring the insurer to reconsider coverage for two of the plaintiffs.

In Lange v. Houston County, Georgia, a biological male identifying as female, employed as a patrol officer, sued after being told the group insurance plan would not cover a sex change. The Eleventh Circuit affirmed the lower court’s ruling that the blanket exclusion constituted sex discrimination, holding that cost savings do not excuse discrimination under Title VII.

Separately, Skyler Jay, a woman pretending to be a man who appeared on Netflix’s Queer Eye, sued the University of Georgia over a similar health plan exclusion, while transgender government employees in Wisconsin and Iowa won comparable cases totaling $900,000 in jury awards.

California regulators fined Anthem Blue Cross $850,000, the largest penalty in state history for denying sex change procedures, and required the insurer to hire a dedicated case manager for patients with gender dysphoria, with over 150 denied claims sent back for review. From 2017 to 2020, Anthem had categorized more than 20 procedures, including facial implants, hair removal, voice therapy, and breast augmentation, as not medically necessary when sought by transgender patients, while covering the same procedures for non-transgender patients.

The legal framework underlying all of these cases has shifted repeatedly with each change in administration. The 2016 Obama administration rule interpreted Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act’s sex discrimination prohibition to include gender identity. The Trump administration eliminated that definition in June 2020, narrowing Section 1557 protections.

The Biden administration reversed course in May 2021 and codified gender identity protections in a May 2024 final rule, though that rule was quickly stayed by a federal court. On January 20, 2025, the current Trump administration rescinded Biden-era guidance, and on May 14, 2025, HHS formally rescinded the 2021 interpretation of Section 1557, returning to the position that sex discrimination protections do not extend to gender identity.

Jessica Simpson, a Canadian transgender activist who retains male genitalia, filed a complaint against a gynecologist who refused to treat her, claiming discrimination. The complaint was filed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia in 2019, though no resolution has been publicly reported.

A report by Advocates for Trans Equality states, “If a transgender woman’s health care provider decides she needs a prostate exam, an insurance company can’t deny it because she is listed as female in her records. If her provider recommends gynecological care, coverage can’t be denied simply because she was identified as male at birth.”

It seems that it would just be a matter of time before someone is sued for denying a Pap smear to a male, and until insurance companies are forced to pay for testicular examinations for women.

Utah Valley University Removes Graduation Speaker Who Called Charlie Kirk ‘Bigoted’ Just Days After His Murder

On September 10, 2025, conservative icon Charlie Kirk was politically assassinated on the campus of Utah Valley University (UVU).

In the days following his murder, while Americans were still mourning, Sharon McMahon, an author and host of the podcast Here’s Where It Gets Interesting, posted a series of quotes on social media, including Instagram and Threads, critical of Kirk, including calling him ‘biogted.’

And yet, for some inexplicable reason, UVU  selected McMahon as its keynote commencement speaker for the school’s 2026 graduation ceremony later this month. She was also set to receive an honorary Doctor of Education degree.

Following intense backlash, UVU announced that McMahon will no longer speak.

Per The College Fix:

On Sept. 12, 2025, just two days after an assassin brutally murdered Kirk during an on-campus event, McMahon posted on Instagram a series of quotes from stating: “These aren’t sound bites taken out of context. Millions of people feel they were harmed, and the murder that was horrific and should never have happened does not magically erase what was said or done.”

Her thread argued that Kirk said horrible things about black and LGBTQ people, as well as women, claiming he promulgated “bigoted ideas on a stage that reached tens of millions.”

“It’s important to remember that the incredible tragedy of a public assassination does not erase the harm many experienced from his words, and the ensuing actions his followers took,” she wrote.

Text image discussing the impact of harmful rhetoric and the consequences of public statements, emphasizing the importance of context and the lasting effects of actions.

A statement from UVU cites “increased safety concerns related to the speaker” as the reason for the cancellation, rather than their incredibly poor taste in selecting McMahon in the first place.

Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT) lambasted UVU’s decision to even have McMahon speak in the first place.

Owens wrote on X, “Utah Valley University’s decision to hand its commencement stage to Sharon McMahon is not just wrong. It is morally bankrupt.”

“On a campus still scarred by the murder of Charlie Kirk, UVU has chosen a speaker who, in that moment of national grief, could not muster the basic decency to honor a life lost. Instead, she chose to diminish it. That is not leadership. It is arrogance, self-righteousness, and condescension posing as virtue.”

“UVU did not just tolerate that behavior. They rewarded it.”

“This is a stunning failure of judgment by an institution that should know better and a speaker who has shown she does not.”

“Charlie Kirk was a husband, a patriot, and a man who inspired millions of young Americans to stand up and engage. His life deserves respect. His wife deserves compassion. What UVU is offering instead is contempt.”

“This decision is an insult to every student, every family, and every decent person who expects more from a university.”

“UVU should reverse course immediately.”

A poll conducted by Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) was unequivocal.

A year for a thousand ants.

Wildlife trafficking is an international problem that national authorities try to tackle as best they can.

In Africa, this is an ongoing issue for countries with rich ecological diversity and often substandard law enforcement infrastructure.

Yesterday (15), a Chinese national was sentenced to a year in prison for his attempt ‘to smuggle thousands of live queen garden ants out of Kenya’.

BBC reported:

“The court in Nairobi on Wednesday also fined Zhang Kequn 1m Kenyan shillings ($7,737). Judge Irene Gichobi described Zhang as not ‘entirely honest’ and lacking in remorse.

Last month, he was charged with illegally dealing in wildlife species after being arrested at Nairobi’s main airport while attempting to travel to China with more than 2,000 ants in his luggage.”

Close-up of a black ant, highlighting its features and detailing its role as a popular pet shipped to various countries.

Prized by collectors, ants are in high demand in Europe and Asia.

“’There is need for a stiff deterrent sentence’, Judge Gichobi said, noting the ‘rising cases of dealing in large quantities of garden ants and the negative ecological side effects’.

[…] Following Zhang’s arrest at Nairobi’s international airport on 10 March, the court heard he had bought the ants from Kenyan national Charles Mwangi at 10,000 Kenyan shillings (£58; $77) for every 100 of them.”
