The Trump administration wants automakers to put the pedal to the metal to help rebuild America’s weapons stockpiles, according to a new report.

As wars in the Middle East and Ukraine have consumed missiles and other weapons, the Trump administration is turning to a tactic from World War II in order to resupply as fast as possible, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Top executives at General Motors and Ford have been approached, the outlet reported, citing sources it did not name. GE Aerospace and machinery producer Oshkosh have also been approached.

The War Department “is committed to rapidly expanding the defense industrial base by leveraging all available commercial solutions and technologies to ensure our warfighters maintain a decisive advantage,” a Pentagon official said.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has called for American manufacturing to be on a “wartime footing.”

Talks with manufacturers began before the war against Iran, with the goal of strengthening national security by increasing the military’s ability to quickly increase production of weapons and technology to meet emerging needs.

Defense officials sought input from companies that do not perform extensive defense work about barriers that need to be addressed by the government, such as the process for bidding and contracting.

Logan Jones, chief growth officer for Oshkosh’s transport segment, said the company began a dialogue with the military in November.

The company has explored where they could “bring that capacity in a way that matches our core capability,” he said.

Oshkosh builds tactical troop carriers, but most of its business is not linked to the military.

“We’ve been out looking at capabilities that we think fit their needs, just proactively,” Jones said. “We’ve heard it loud and clear that this is important.”

Concerns over the supply of weapons began in 2022 when the Biden administration began sending large amounts of materiel to Ukraine.

The Wall Street Journal noted that the Trump administration relied on GM and Ford to produce ventilators at the start of COVID.

Automakers during World War II stopped making cars to produce what the military needed.

As questions about the military’s store of weapons began to emerge last month, Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said the military “has everything it needs to execute any mission at any time and place of the President’s choosing and on any timeline,” according to The Washington Post.

He said President Donald Trump and Hegseth “have made restoring American military dominance their top priority from day one, and American dominance has been proved again and again following every major military operation under this administration.”

Former Gettysburg Borough Mayor Chad-Alan Carr, a Democrat who proudly led the local LGBTQ Pride organization, has been arrested AGAIN in Texas on horrifying new child sex crime charges.

As The Gateway Pundit reported back in March, this radical left-wing activist abruptly resigned as mayor after less than three months in office, citing some vague “personal legal matter.”

Days later, Pennsylvania authorities arrested him on initial felony charges for allegedly grooming and sexually exploiting a minor he met through his community theater work.

Carr, who also served as president of Gettysburg Pride, was the face of pushing LGBTQ events in the historic Pennsylvania town.

According to court documents, Carr allegedly groomed a 16-year-old boy he met through high school musical productions in Gettysburg around 2011-2013.

The victim, now an adult, reported that Carr solicited explicit photos, engaged in video sex acts via Skype, and shared his own nude images while pressuring the teen for more.

Carr reportedly described the interactions as “late-night talks.”

Carr was released on $100,000 bail.

Now, just weeks later, he is back in handcuffs, this time in Anderson County, Texas.

Last Thursday, Adams County Sheriff’s Office issued a fresh warrant after three additional victims came forward, accusing Carr of sexual assault and soliciting explicit images from minors.

Investigators tracked the 48-year-old Democrat to Texas, where he had fled following his release on bail in the first case.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office coordinated with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, which took Carr into custody without delay. Anderson County authorities even provided bodycam footage of the arrest to local Pennsylvania media outlet WGAL.

Far-Left Minnesota District Attorney Announces FELONY Assault Charges Against ICE Agent in Minneapolis (VIDEO)

One of the most radical district attorneys in the entire country has escalated her war against the Trump Administration and ICE in dramatic fashion.

As KTTC reported, Hennepin County District Attorney Mary Moriarty announced that her office had filed two counts of assault charges against an ICE agent during a Thursday press conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

“Today, our office has charged Gregory Donnell Morgan, an ICE agent, with two counts of second degree assault,” Moriarty said. “There is now a warrant for Mr. Morgan’s arrest which allows law enforcement to arrest him anywhere in the country.”

WATCH:

Moriarty, who is backed by leftist billionaire George Soros, went on to say that the case is from a February 5th incident on Highway 62. Morgan was allegedly driving an unmarked, rented SUV illegally on the shoulder of the eastbound lanes near the Portland Avenue exit.

Moriarty said Morgan was appearing to bypass slower traffic and going after the victims in their car.

Then, according to the Hennepin County DA, the alleged victim’s vehicle moved into a legal lane and Morgan moved alongside him. The ICE went on to allegedly threaten the driver and passenger with his gun.

“After the victim’s vehicle moved back into the legal lane, Mr. Morgan sped up to pull alongside the victim’s vehicle,” Moriarty claimed at the press conference. “Mr. Morgan then visibly slowed his vehicle to match the pace of the victim’s vehicle, opened his window, and pointed his duty weapon directly at both victims in the other vehicle while continuing to drive illegally on the shoulder.”

As KSTP notes, these are the first criminal charges against federal law enforcement to come out of Operation Metro Surge, which was launched last winter by the Trump Administration.

While the operation was a success, two far-left protesters, Renee Good and Alex Pretti, were killed during encounters with ICE officers.

KSTP reported that Moriarty claimed during the press conference that her office was able to bring charges in Morgan’s case because it was headed by the Minnesota State Patrol and followed supposedly “typical” processes of information-gathering.

The 35-year-old Morgan, who is from Temple Hills, Maryland, faces two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. He was charged via warrant and is not in custody at this time.

According to the Office of the Revisor of Statutes in Minnesota, second-degree assault in Minnesota is a felony involving the use of a dangerous weapon.

Those convicted face up to seven years in prison and a $14,000 fine.

Per KSTP, Moriarty last month urged citizens to submit evidence of supposed ‘illegal’ activity by Homeland Security agents.

She also stated that her office was looking into at least 17 incidents for potential criminal charges.

U.S. House of Representatives voting session showing members and results for bill H.R. 1689, with a final tally of 224 votes in favor and 204 against.

The House of Representatives on Thursday voted 224-204 to extend ‘Temporary Protected Status’ to 350,000 Haitians for three years.

The Democrats cheered and broke out into applause after the measure passed.

The vote came after seven Republicans bucked Trump earlier on Thursday and voted with the Democrats on a discharge petition to force a full floor House vote.

Rep. Kevin Kiley who just flipped from a Republican to an Independent, also voted with the Democrats.

Ten Republicans voted with the Democrats:

Rep. Maria Salazar (R-FL)
Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE)
Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA)
Rep. Carlos Gimenez (R-FL)
Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY)
Rep. Mario Diaz Balart (R-FL)
Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY)
Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH)
Rep. Rich McCormick (R-GA)
Rep. Mike Carey (R-OH)

On Wednesday, six House Republicans voted with the Democrats to extend ‘Temporary Protected Status’ for thousands of Haitians living in the US for three years.

The vote to advance the measure was 219-209.

The measure was introduced by radical Democrat Rep. Ayanna Pressley.

“Extending TPS for Haiti is not only the moral and humanitarian thing to do—it’s also good policy. It’s good for families, it’s good for our economy, and it’s good for America,” Pressley said ahead of the vote. “Today the People’s House has an opportunity to pass our legislation to extend Haiti TPS and save lives. And we must do just that.”

The measure is likely dead on arrival in the Senate.

The President has vowed to veto the measure.

The Supreme Court this month will hear oral arguments on the Trump Administration’s decision to end TPS for hundreds of thousand of Haitians and Syrians.
