Colorado Democrats voted Wednesday to censure Gov. Jared Polis after he commuted the prison sentence of former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters.

Peters, a Gold Star mother in poor health, had been wrongly serving a nine-year sentence after her 2024 conviction concerning a breach of Mesa County voting systems.

Polis reduced her sentence last week, arguing the punishment did not fit the offense.

In a statement following the decision, Peters said she had “made mistakes” and planned to support causes of election integrity upon her release.

The decision comes after a Colorado appeals court found Peters’ original sentence was improper and ordered resentencing.

The Colorado Democratic Party blasted the decision.

“Reducing her sentence now, under pressure from Donald Trump, is not justice,” the party said.

“It sends a message to future bad actors that election tampering has consequences, unless you’re friends with the president. That’s a dangerous and disappointing precedent to set.”

The party also complained Polis’ decision “does not reflect the values, institutional positions, or democratic commitments of the Colorado Democratic Party.”

As part of the censure, Polis will be barred from appearing as an honored guest, speaker, or officially recognized representative at party events.

Polis’ office defended the commutation.

Spokesman Eric Maruyama told NBC the governor “made his decision based on the facts of the case and what he believed was the right thing to do.”

“Sometimes the right thing isn’t the popular thing with everybody,” Maruyama said. “Democracy is strongest when disagreement is met with debate and dialogue, not censorship.”

President Donald Trump had publicly supported Peters and pardoned her in December, although this was only symbolic.

A major international fraud scheme centered in India has been dismantled by Americans. authorities, exposing a sprawling network that targeted elderly Americans and siphoned millions of dollars out of the country.

The case is now fueling renewed concerns about foreign-based scam operations exploiting vulnerable U.S. citizens.

Federal investigators say the operation relied heavily on call centers operating out of India, where fraudsters posed as legitimate tech support agents, according to various reports. These overseas networks systematically targeted elderly Americans, many of whom were unfamiliar with modern cybersecurity threats.

At the center of the case are two America-based executives, Adam Young and Harrison Gevirtz, who pleaded guilty to enabling the scheme. Prosecutors say the pair provided critical telecommunications infrastructure that allowed India-based scammers to reach victims across the United States.

Their company supplied phone numbers, routing services, and call-tracking systems that became the backbone of the operation. Without that infrastructure, authorities say, the India-based fraud network would not have been able to function at such scale.

The scheme itself was deceptively simple—but highly effective. Victims would encounter alarming pop-up messages on their computers, falsely claiming their devices were infected with dangerous viruses.

These warnings directed them to call a phone number, which connected them directly to call centers in India. Once on the line, operators used scripted tactics to create panic and urgency.

Victims were then pressured into paying for unnecessary or completely fictitious technical support services. In many cases, they were convinced to hand over hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

In some instances, the damage went even further. Scammers gained remote access to victims’ computers, allowing them to extract sensitive personal and financial data.

Authorities say the operation disproportionately targeted elderly Americans. Many victims lost significant portions of their savings, with little chance of recovery.

The FBI investigation revealed that the network was not a loose collection of bad actors, but a coordinated international enterprise. Multiple India-based individuals were convicted as part of the case.

Among those convicted were several operators directly linked to the call centers running the fraud schemes. These individuals played key roles in executing and expanding the operation.

U.S. officials say the involvement of foreign-based call centers presents a growing national challenge. These operations often function outside the immediate reach of American law enforcement.

Despite this, investigators were able to shut down one of the primary call center hubs in India. The crackdown followed years of coordination and intelligence gathering.

According to prosecutors, the U.S.-based executives were fully aware of the nature of their clients’ activities. Rather than report the schemes, they chose to continue profiting from them.

Authorities say the two men even advised the India-based scammers on how to avoid detection. This included strategies to reduce complaints and prevent their accounts from being terminated.

In some cases, they allegedly facilitated the exchange of fraudulent call traffic between different scam operators. This helped the network grow more efficient and harder to disrupt.

The financial impact has been staggering. Tech support scams alone cost Americans approximately $2.1 billion last year.

Even at the state level, the losses are significant. Residents of Rhode Island reported losing at least $5.7 million to similar schemes.

Law enforcement officials have made clear that elderly Americans remain the primary targets. These individuals are often seen as easier to manipulate and more likely to trust authority figures.

“American senior citizens deserve honor, respect, and protection,” the FBI said following the operation.

Ted E. Docks, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Boston Division, issued a blunt assessment. He described the actions of those involved as “downright despicable.”

“By their own admission, they willfully profited from scammers, here and abroad, who preyed on the elderly,” Docks said.

The case highlights the risks posed by globalized fraud networks, and underscores how easily overseas operations can target American citizens with limited consequences.

The involvement of India-based call centers has reignited debate over outsourcing and foreign telecommunications infrastructure. Critics argue that such systems create vulnerabilities that criminals can exploit.

As investigators pull back the layers on these operations, a heartbreaking reality comes to light. These foreign-based scams aren’t just one-off incidents. They are part of a massive, deeply troubling trend specifically designed to steal from our most vulnerable.

Let me start by saying, I love Las Vegas. It’s my adopted home for 24 years now. So, this story is no knock on Vegas.

The demon Democrats I’m about to tell you about are everywhere across America. They just happen to have popped their demon heads above the foxhole in Las Vegas yesterday morning.

Let me tell you why I love Las Vegas…

I love Vegas because the sun is out 330 days a year.

I love Vegas because we have the best restaurants in the world.

I love Vegas because the state income tax is -0-.

So is the state business tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax. They’re all -0-. And Nevada’s property taxes are among the top 5 lowest in America.

More importantly, because of the thousands of Republicans running away from Los Angeles each month, Nevada is quickly becoming a red Republican state.

Our Governor and Lt. Governor are both Republicans- elected four years ago. Our sheriff is a law-and-order Republican. Then, two years ago, in the 2024 presidential election, President Trump won the state of Nevada for the first time. These are not coincidences.

This year the election results should be even better. For the first time in decades, Republicans outnumber Democrats in voter registration in Nevada. 60% of all these new arrivals from California are registering Republican!

Most important of all, when outsiders think of Las Vegas, they think of the Vegas Strip. But my wife Cindy and I live in the beautiful Vegas suburb of Summerlin. Over 125,000 people live here. It’s the new Scottsdale.

Our street is like “Mayberry R.F.D.” Kids play in the street. At the end of our street is a 20-acre park with bike and walking trails.

There are 300 parks in Summerlin- including 32 major ones. It’s clean, beautiful, green, with big homes (mostly in gated communities) surrounded by rugged mountains, very little crime, and Summerlin votes overwhelmingly Republican.

Summerlin is the great secret of Las Vegas.

Obviously, I love Las Vegas. So, nothing I’m about to say is an indictment of Las Vegas. It’s an indictment of Democrats in Las Vegas- and everywhere else too. Because I guarantee it’s happening all over the USA- in your community, at your government meetings.

Democrats have become the enemy within.

This is not your father’s or grandfather’s Democrat Party. Today’s Democrat leaders and activists are radical, hateful, violent, mentally ill, communist traitors.

They are not a political party anymore. They are a combination of domestic terror organization and cult- out to destroy our country, capitalism, and religion, through any means possible.

There can be no compromise with radical, crazy, extreme, communist suicide bombers like today’s Democrats. They are like a hysterical drowning man- when the lifeguard goes to save him, the hysterical drowning man panics and pulls the lifeguard down with him. They both drowned. That’s what Democrats are doing to us.

If we try to compromise with them, they will pull us down, and we will drown with them.

Look at their cities. They’re all third-world sh**tholes out of a zombie apocalypse movie. That’s why millions of Americans are moving to red states.

They don’t want to drown.

There is no compromising with people who hate America, hate capitalism, hate Jews, hate Christians, hate white people, who are open borders suicide bombers, and who are possessed by demons, and dedicate their lives to Satan.

The proof was on display yesterday morning at the Clark County Commission meeting in Las Vegas.

Six of the seven Commissioners are Democrats- because Clark County is a majority minority population, dominated by illegal aliens, and therefore Democrats dominate the Commission.

Guess who opened this official government meeting with an invocation? Not a Catholic priest, not a Christian Pastor, not a Jewish Rabbi. Can you guess?

Drumroll please…

The Democrat-dominated County Commission asked a representative of the Satanic Temple to give the opening prayer.

Yes, a Satan worshiper led the prayer to open a public government meeting. But Satan worshipers don’t pray- because they don’t believe in God.

This was literally a demonic Satan worshipper with devil’s horns on its head.

Look at the picture- this person has horns. And the Democrat Commissioners all bowed their heads as this demonic witch opened the meeting. All I can say is, “Oh my God.”

These people are crazy- and a danger to us all. And the Satan worshipers are pretty bad, too.

Democrats in Las Vegas obviously think this is normal. This is their America- a land of demons, illegals, felons, abortions, welfare queens, non-binary genders, and don’t forget illegal alien transgenders with AIDS and Tuberculosis- and of course, free healthcare. So, of course, we get stuck with the bill.

But why would this surprise anyone?

President Barack Obama and almost-president Hillary Clinton were literally raised and educated on “Rules for Radicals” by Saul Alinsky. That was their playbook. That was their “Bible.” And on page one it’s dedicated to the devil- Lucifer.

Just yesterday, a female Democrat candidate for Congress in Texas publicly announced she wants Jews who support Israel, and ICE agents arrested and put into prison camps, and then castrated.

Democrat judges allow murderers and rapists back on the streets, without bail, hours after being arrested.

Democrat politicians give more love, support, money, and benefits to illegal alien criminals than to hero military vets or senior citizens.

And don’t forget New York City, the financial capital of the world, is now run by a radical communist Muslim.

Should anything surprise us anymore?

So, what happened at a Vegas County Commission meeting should not shock anyone.

But it should be a wake-up call.

First, because if this is what they’re willing to do in public, without shame, Democrats aren’t even trying to hide it anymore…

Can you even imagine what evil they’re doing in private?

Secondly, it’s time to acknowledge- we have been invaded. We have been infiltrated. We have been sold out. We have been abandoned. We have been betrayed.

We are facing the Devil himself. And his disciples. Democrats have sold out to Satan. Democrats are possessed by demons.

What happened in Vegas yesterday morning doesn’t stay in Vegas. It’s spreading across this country.

President Trump calls them Dumb-ocrats. And Democrats certainly are ignorant and clueless. But tragically, it’s far worse…

They’ve become Demon-crats.

And what they stand for, and bow their heads for, is pure evil.

Last year the globalist left targeted AfD member Petr Bystron before elections alleging he was a Russian agent. The allegations were as fake as the Trump-Russia allegations pushed by Barack Obama and Democrats for years.

Bystron is a member of the conservative, anti-open border party AfD that continues to gain prominence in Germany politics.

After days of agitation in the European mainstream media, the popular AfD politician Petr Bystron has now become the target of a death threat combined with blackmail. As BILD reports, Bystron’s Bundestag office in Berlin received an anonymous letter with the text: “…if you value your life, then you quickly collect €100,000 and call here…”

The blackmailer insulted the AfD foreign politician as an “asshole” and added a collage with Bystron’s photo with a painted Hitler beard. The Bundestag police are taking the matter seriously and have started investigations (file number Vg/949/2024). The AfD politician said to the German Newspaper BILD of the death threat: “These are the fruits of the smear campaign of the last few days. I ask Czech Prime Minister Fiala: ‘Is this what you wanted to achieve?’”

Several insider authorities in Prague are accusing Czech Prime Minister Fiala of being personally responsible for mentioning Bystron’s name in connection with an affair surrounding the news portal “Voice of Europe.” At the beginning of last week, the Czech secret service made it public that it suspected two Ukrainians of covert propaganda for Russia. The accusations of collaborating with the portal and even taking money were directed against six European parties, all of which are against the war in Ukraine.

Bystron told the Czech newspaper BLESK that this was revenge for his appearances at the anti-government demonstrations in Prague, such as the demonstration on Wenceslas Square last year, where hundreds of thousands of Czechs cheered the AfD politician and at the same time loudly demanded the resignation of the hated Fiala government. According to the latest surveys, only 2% of its own citizens trust the Czech government.

On Wednesday, Petr Bystron’s office announced that the AfD memeber was filing defamation charges against one of the groups that smeared him as a Russian agent during last year’s campaign.

Bystron accuses the organization of having defamed him in a campaign in March by portraying him as a “politician paid by the Russians.” In posters and social media posts, the group depicted Natálie Vachatová, an adviser to Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, as a security risk and featured her alongside Bystron.

“Such defamatory allegations led to investigations against me lasting two years, including a total of 29 house searches — without a single piece of evidence being found or any charges being filed,” Bystron said in explaining the lawsuit. In addition to financial compensation, he is demanding the immediate removal of the posts, a cease-and-desist order, and a public apology published on the association’s channels.

Vachatová and the photographer of the image used in the campaign, Petr Štěpánek, have also initiated legal action against the organization. Štěpánek is suing over copyright infringement and unpaid licensing fees, while Vachatová has filed a defamation claim. Vachatová became the target of weeks-long attacks by the association after it emerged that she was working on legislation aimed at significantly restricting NGO financing. Bystron himself came under attack from several Czech NGOs and media outlets after repeatedly criticizing the former government in public.

So far, Milion chvilek pro demokracii has not responded to the lawsuit or to media inquiries. The organization is regarded as controversial in the Czech Republic and is viewed by critics as a tool for the defamation of political opponents. Critics accuse the group of one-sided support for the ousted Fiala government, as well as of smearing and intimidating the government’s political opponents. The organization’s founder, Mikuláš Minář, has been accused of embezzling up to 7.3 million Czech crowns donated by supporters.

Believe it or not, conservatives have always had an uneasy relationship with capitalism.

In short, after centuries of debate, many of us have accepted it as the least of all possible evils.

Thus, even in an age of populist-nationalist sentiment, symbolized (at least in spirit) by President Donald Trump’s political ascendancy, a conservative Christian, without abandoning Christianity’s warnings against worshipping wealth, may largely nod along in agreement with Amazon mega-billionaire Jeff Bezos, who provided a sound explanation of why Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, had it wrong earlier this month when she declared that no one can “earn” a billion dollars.

“It’s not correct on its face,” Bezos said in an interview Wednesday with CNBC’s Andrew Sorkin that was posted to the social media platform X. “Let me give you a simple example. Let’s say you start a burger joint, and you have 10 employees, and you make a little bit of money.[:40]

“And by the way, these are the most delicious burgers in the world. People love your burgers, Andrew. And so then, you open a second outlet,” the Amazon founder added.

Sorkin stayed largely quiet, allowing his interviewee to develop the example.

“And now you’re making a little bit more money, and you have 20 employees,” Bezos continued. “And you open a third outlet. By the time you’ve opened a thousand outlets, you are a billionaire.”

Then, after citing several real-life examples in the restaurant industry, Bezos posed the only relevant question.

“At what point did that money all of a sudden become unethical, or it didn’t?” he asked.

Indeed, therein lies the rub. After all, who can say, based on a blanket statement about all people in a certain wealth category, that unethical behavior alone explains their wealth?

“What you’re doing — the way — the way you make a billion dollars, or a hundred million dollars, or ten million dollars, or anything, is you create a service that people love. And if millions of people choose your service, you’re going to end up with a billion dollars,” Bezos added.

Sorkin, of course, posed the question because AOC, in a May 7 podcast appearance, insisted that wealth accumulation in the billions of dollars amounts to theft.

“You can’t earn a billion dollars,” she said, according to USA Today. “You just can’t earn that. You can get market power. You can break rules. You can do all sorts of things. You can abuse labor laws. You can pay people less than what they’re worth. But you can’t earn that.”

So where should conservatives’ sympathies lie? With the liberal founder of Amazon — a company that has revolutionized commerce — or the socialist congresswoman?

Our sympathies should always lie with those who, in our imperfect judgments, speak truth. And in this case, Bezos spoke more truth than AOC did.

Honest conservatives, of course, know that Bezos’s theory of wealth accumulation sanitized the real-life process. After all, history abounds with tales of moguls who stooped to shockingly unethical levels.

Still, we also know what “you didn’t earn that” or “you didn’t build that” means in the mouth of a dim-witted leftist. It means “a billionaire’s money should belong to the socialist revolutionaries who would use the coercive power of the state to confiscate wealth for themselves under the guise of redistributing it to the people.”

Indeed, we have already seen what happens when wealth concentrates in proximity to the federal government. It improves no one’s lives except those of the leftist oligarchs it enriches.

At the beginning of the Industrial Revolution in England, opposition to industrial capitalism came not from urban liberal types but from rural conservatives who recognized its labor-crushing and wealth-concentrating tendencies as threats to the stability and independence of traditional Christian families and homes.

In other words, capitalism, like all things of this world, comes with a cost.

Still, because we know what AOC and other socialists mean by “you didn’t earn that,” we pay the cost and thereby live with capitalism as preferable to the evils that bloodthirsty leftists would impose on us if they could.
