The big three against the ICC?

Today, a Financial Times report did the rounds, in which is alleged that Xi Jinping would have told Donald J. Trump during last week’s talks that Russian President Vladimir Putin ‘might end up regretting his invasion of Ukraine’.

That was called out as fake news both by the Chinese and by Trump himself.

Q: “Did Xi tell you Putin would regret invading Ukraine?”

Trump: “No. He never said that.”

This report seems timed to coincide with Putin’s arrival in Beijing for a state visit.

However, in this same report we find a nugget that seems much more plausible, and that has not, so far, been denied by any party.

“During his summit with Xi, Trump also suggested that the US, China and Russia should join forces to combat the ICC, saying their interests were aligned, according to the people familiar with the talks. 

The White House declined to comment on the ICC comment. But the Trump administration has previously voiced strong opposition to the ICC, which it accuses of engaging in politicization, abuse of power, disregard for US national sovereignty and illegitimate judicial over-reach. Some officials have described it as an instrument for so-called lawfare against America.”

Perpetually outraged and angry former women’s soccer player Megan Rapinoe is getting flamed by her woke fans for getting paid to shill a luxury World Cup ticket in the rarified air of the wealthy.

Her fans, who love her consistent woke torch-carrying and her endless expressions of Trump Derangement Syndrome, are not loving her appeal to the 1%.

In an ad for FIFA shared on her Instagram, Rapinoe touts the perks of having money, “Here’s everything a @fifahospitality package gets you. It’s the experience of a lifetime. #FIFAWorldCup.”

“With hospitality, you get a guaranteed ticket with premium seating.”

As visuals show champagne being passed, she adds, “With hospitality, you get a ticket plus dedicated entry, unlimited food and drinks, and plenty of time before and after the match to enjoy it all.”

According to Fox News,  you can get it for the low, low price of $6,050 PER TICKET to attend the June 12 USA-Paraguay match in Los Angeles with access to the Pitchside Lounge.

Clearly out of range for most Americans.

Comments on her paid ad were brutal.

One person noted, “Too expensive for normal working people.”

Another added, “Sad you are doing this Megan. They have out priced all the fans.”

Yet another commentator called out who the ad was really for, “Too bad only the 1% can afford it.”

The disease known as Trump Derangement Syndrome is now infecting employees at one of the most famous Chinese restaurants in America.

As Fox News reported on Tuesday, a conservative influencer has revealed that a pair of employees at a Panda Express in Washington state called the cops on conservative influencer Chris Sims and his friend @DannyRebel333 over a MAGA hat and flashing an innocuous gesture to a cook inside the establishment.

Fox News confirmed the incident in Lakewood on May 10.

In the video below, Sims, wearing the hat, is livestreaming his visit to Panda Express. Shortly after entering the restaurant, he notices they don’t like the hat he’s wearing.

Sims then gives a thumbs-up to one of the cooks. Upon seeing this, the employees behind the counter then kicked Sims and his friend out of the restaurant.

After exchanging words with a pair of employees outside the restaurant, Sims learns that the police have been called.

Sims went into further detail on what happened in his X post.

“Panda Express kicked out @DannyRebel333 and me for simply wearing a MAGA hat, and giving a thumbs up to a cook who just stood and stared at me the whole time because of my Hat,” Sims explained on X.

“I asked if there was an issue, and the cook said, “Your Hat,” so I asked if he supported it.”

“They proceeded to call the police, and falsely say we were refusing to leave,” he added. “I left the store and stood on the sidewalk, and multiple employees came out to intimidate me to leave and stop filming on the public sidewalk.”

“The Police informed the staff that we did nothing wrong, and the woman who called 911 cried and walked back into the building.”

A Panda Express spokesperson responded to the incident in the following statement to Fox News:

We want everyone who walks into Panda Express to feel welcome and treated with respect.

We have been reviewing the details and understand the situation was handled and addressed at the restaurant level. We’ve reinforced to all our associates the importance of delivering a consistent, welcoming experience for every guest.

Fox News reports that Lakewood police spoke with Sims and Danny Rebel outside the Panda Express and confirmed that they did nothing wrong. The police also said that restaurant leadership will have to address the employees’ nasty behavior.

This is far from the first time conservatives have been discriminated against for simply expressing their First Amendment rights in public.

The bad news is this will only get worse when Democrats seize power once again.

The Canucks are not doing their homework.

Ever since Donald J. Trump’s first presidential mandate, he has been insisting that NATO allies must spend much more and develop their militaries.

Trump has criticized the ‘paper tigers’ for over-relying on US military protection.

One of the most criticized is Canada.

The Great White North struggled to get to a 2% GDP defense spending when other allies such as Poland are already breaking 4,5%.

Today, it arises that the US has frozen participation in a joint defense board with Canada ‘that dates back to the Second World War’.

The Telegraph reported:

“In the latest escalation of tensions with the longstanding ally, the Pentagon accused Canada of failing ‘to make credible progress on its defense commitments’.

[…] On Monday, Elbridge Colby, the US undersecretary of defense, said that the Pentagon would halt its involvement in the Permanent Joint Board on Defense while it reassesses the forum’s value to American security interests.

‘We can no longer avoid the gaps between rhetoric and reality’, Mr. Colby said. ‘Real powers must sustain our rhetoric with shared defense and security responsibilities’.”

“The board was established in 1940, a year before the US entered the Second World War. Established under the Ogdensburg Agreement, it has functioned for decades as a key forum for military cooperation and regional security coordination across North America.

It helped provide a framework for continental defense during the Second World War and then the Cold War, provided advice on the implementation of the North American Aerospace Defense Command, and was also involved in setting up early warning systems using radar stations.”

The Senate on Tuesday voted 50 to 47 to advance a war powers resolution to limit President Trump’s action in Iran.

Senator Bill Cassidy (LA) joined the Democrats after he lost his primary on Saturday amid Trump’s RINO revenge tour.

GOP Senators Collins and Paul also joined the Democrats.

Three GOP Senators – Cornyn, Tuberville and Tillis did not vote.

The Senate advanced a resolution to limit President Trump’s war powers in Iran on Tuesday, marking a breakthrough for Democrats after seven failed attempts.

Senators approved a motion to discharge the resolution from committee in a 50 to 47. Four Republicans — Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Rand Paul of Kentucky and Bill Cassidy of Louisiana — joined the bulk of Democrats in favor of advancing the resolution. Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania was the sole Democrat to oppose.

The vote marked the first time Cassidy supported advancing a war powers resolution. It came days after he failed to win enough support to advance to a runoff in the Louisiana GOP Senate primary, where Mr. Trump endorsed one of his opponents.

And three Republicans — Sens. John Cornyn of Texas, Tommy Tuberville of Alabama and Thom Tillis of North Carolina — did not vote, tipping the scales in Democrats’ favor for the first time since they began bringing war powers resolutions related to Iran.
