The Justice Department has established a more than $1.7 billion fund for victims of weaponization under Joe Biden, which President Trump said will reimburse those who faced Biden-era political persecution. 

Trump told reporters at the White House on Monday that the $1.776 billion weaponization fund, which was created as he dropped a $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS, would be “reimbursing people that were horribly treated, horribly treated. It’s anti-weaponization.”

A reporter asked him about the fund, nastily questioning why taxpayers should “pay for the January Sixers,” who faced horrific abuse from the Biden Justice Department. “It’s anti-weaponization,” Trump said.

“They’ve been weaponized, they’ve been, in some cases, imprisoned wrongly. They paid legal fees that they didn’t have. They’ve gone bankrupt, their lives have been destroyed, and they turn out to be right,” he told the reporter.

“These were people that were weaponized and really treated brutally by a system that was so corrupt, with corrupt people running it, and they’re getting reimbursed for their legal fees and the other things that they had to suffer.“

I know the Justice Department has really been working on it very hard. There’s been numerous other occasions over the years where things like this have been done, but these were people that were weaponized and really treated brutally by a system that was so corrupt, with corrupt people running it, and they’re getting reimbursed for their legal fees and the other things that they had to suffer.

The Justice Department on Monday announced the creation of a $1.776 billion fund to compensate President Donald Trump’s allies who claim they were unfairly targeted by the previous administration.

It’s an unprecedented move that would allow the president’s administration to pay his supporters from a government agency he controls with taxpayer money.

There appears to be few constraints on who can submit a claim to the fund. The president has broadly stated that his allies were politically targeted by the justice system, from the years-old Russian collusion investigation to the nearly 1,600 people charged in connection to the January 6, 2021, US Capitol riot.

Its creation comes as Trump dropped his $10 billion lawsuit alleging that the Internal Revenue Service failed to protect Trump and the Trump Organization from an unauthorized leak of their tax returns.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, President Trump, Eric Trump, Don Jr., and the Trump Organization filed a $10 billion lawsuit in January against the IRS for leaking their tax returns.

It was revealed this month that Trump would drop the lawsuit, as well as other legal action, including a $230 million claim over the 2022 Mar-a-Lago raid and the Russia Collusion Hoax, in exchange for a public apology from the IRS and the creation of this compensation fund, which is a fraction of the cost.

Spencer Pratt has become an unlikely thorn in the side of California’s ruling political class.

The former reality TV personality has spent months blasting the leadership in Los Angeles after losing his home in the devastating Pacific Palisades fire due to the Democratic Party’s ineptitude and corruption.

Early Monday morning, he found himself sparring with a media elitist who would love nothing more than to prop up those same politicians in perpetuity to keep L.A. looking exactly how it looks right now.

On Sunday, Variety chief correspondent Marlow Stern attempted to mock Pratt on X after Deadline published a story about Pratt’s mayoral ambitions.

The Deadline report was headlined: “Spencer Pratt Plans To Leave L.A. If He Loses Mayoral Bid: ‘I Will Be Done.’”

Stern responded on X with a smug jab aimed directly at Pratt.

Apparently, that was supposed to be some kind of devastating own. The problem is, Pratt is not living outside of Los Angeles because he wanted a change of scenery.

His house burned down in the Palisades fire that ravaged entire neighborhoods while Democrat leaders did absolutely nothing.

Pratt has relentlessly criticized Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and the rest of the city’s political establishment over the handling of the catastrophe.

Yet Stern still decided the appropriate stance was to sneer at a man whose family lost everything.

Pratt fired back with a blistering response.

“My house burned down. I lost everything. I can’t rebuild,” Pratt wrote.

“As a 42 year old man with 2 kids, I’ve had to move into my parents’ house, and I’m getting attacked for that?” he continued.

“This is journalism? This is why no decent people ever get into politics. This is why you only have goblins running everything.”

“God help you if you try to make things right for your community … if you lose your entire town, ‘journalists’ mock you for not making your kids sleep in the toxic dirt on your burned out lot.”

“Who raised you, dude?” Pratt concluded.

Obviously, Pratt deserved better than being mocked by a supposedly serious reporter working for a legacy entertainment publication.

Whatever someone thinks about Pratt politically, ridiculing a wildfire victim for no longer living on a destroyed property is bottom-of-the-barrel behavior.

How toxic are the rest of the people working at Variety or inside the countless other newsrooms scattered across America?

That question is naturally rhetorical.

That mindset — the one that led a man to mock another man for losing his home — exists in newsrooms nationwide, including probably one in a city near you.

People who lecture endlessly about empathy and tolerance are suddenly out of compassion when someone challenges the left-wing machine.

Stern’s smug little X post is a perfect snapshot of what millions of normal Americans are up against every day.

If you are a decent, taxpaying citizen who wants competent government, safe streets, functioning infrastructure, and freedom from the left’s nonstop cultural revolution, much of the corporate press already sees you as the enemy.

Not every one of these activists masquerading as journalists is violent. They might not attack you, firebomb your business, or try to get onto a rooftop with a rifle for a clear shot at you.

But make no mistake, if something bad happens to you, a jarring amount of these people love every second of it. I’ve worked in enough newsrooms to know that.

A wave of revelations surrounding massive cross-border cash flows from Ukraine into Romania during last year’s presidential election cycle is intensifying scrutiny over what many are describing as a broader pattern of political interference, financial opacity, and elite-level corruption tied to Kyiv’s ruling circles.

An official report from Romania’s Ministry of Finance, covered by a whole host of Romanian newspapers and portals, has confirmed that more than €1.2 billion in cash ($1.40 billion) entered the country between 2024 and 2025, with the most significant spikes occurring precisely during the peak months of the presidential campaign.

The timing has raised immediate alarm. Between March and May 2025—coinciding directly with the presidential election period, which ultimately resulted in the election of the left-globalist candidate Nicusor Dan—tens of millions of euros flowed into Romania each month, including nearly €100 million in May alone.

While the report stops short of formally alleging electoral interference, the overlap has fueled widespread concern among political observers and voters alike.

“The peak of the phenomenon was recorded between March and May 2025,” the report notes, highlighting a sharp and unusual concentration of cross-border cash movement during the campaign period.

Even more striking is the concentration of these funds. Authorities found that just 21 individuals were responsible for nearly two-thirds of all declared cash entries from Ukraine into the European Union through Romania.

Investigators also identified recurring routes and patterns, with shipments repeatedly passing through the same border crossings and corridors, particularly Siret and Halmeu—two of Romania’s main border crossing points on the country’s frontier with Ukraine.

The Ministry of Finance explicitly warned that the flows present “major money laundering risks,” citing the repetitive nature of transactions and the concentration of funds in the hands of a small network.

For many in Romania, the revelations have only deepened suspicions surrounding the integrity of the electoral process itself.

The issue has become particularly politically charged given the context of the contested election and the rise of nationalist figures such as George Simion and Călin Georgescu, who positioned themselves as challengers to the political establishment.

Many argue that the scale and timing of the financial flows cannot be dismissed as coincidence, especially given the broader geopolitical stakes.

Romania’s case does not stand in isolation. Parallel developments across Central Europe are painting a picture of deeper instability tied to financial networks linked to Ukraine’s corrupt political elite that’s awash with Western financial aid from America and Europe.

In Ukraine itself, a major corruption scandal has erupted involving figures close to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

A former senior aide, Andrey Yermak, was recently detained in connection with a money laundering investigation tied to a luxury real estate project near Kyiv before being released on $3.2 million bail.

Investigators allege that the scheme involved the movement of illicit funds through a network of political and business intermediaries.

The case has fueled growing criticism that corruption remains deeply entrenched within Ukraine’s ruling structures, despite years of promises of reform.
Opposition figures within Ukraine have suggested that the scandal reflects a broader pattern of financial manipulation and elite privilege.

At the same time, questions are mounting about whether such networks extend beyond Ukraine’s borders and into neighboring states.

In Hungary, explosive allegations have emerged that Ukrainian-linked funds were used to support opposition political campaigns.

A former intelligence officer claimed that millions of euros in cash were transported weekly—often in physical shipments—through complex routes involving Austria and other transit points.

According to these claims, the funds were allegedly funneled to political actors with the aim of reshaping Hungary’s domestic political landscape.

Hungarian authorities weeks ago intercepted one such shipment, reportedly containing tens of millions of dollars, euros, and even gold.

The seizure has prompted a criminal investigation into suspected money laundering, with officials warning that similar operations may have occurred previously.

Analysts in Budapest have linked the alleged financial flows to broader geopolitical objectives, including influencing electoral outcomes.

For critics of the current European political order, these developments point to a troubling convergence of interests between external actors and domestic political movements.

The concern is not only about corruption, but about sovereignty—who ultimately shapes the political direction of European nations.

Back in Romania, the sudden drop in cash flows following the conclusion of the election has only intensified suspicion.

According to the Ministry of Finance, volumes declined sharply after May 2025, suggesting that the earlier surge was not part of a consistent economic pattern.

“The levels in the second part of 2025… are significantly lower than those in the peak period,” the report states, underscoring the abrupt shift.

For many observers, that change raises a critical question: what purpose did the earlier flows serve?

Despite the scale of the findings, authorities have so far stopped short of drawing direct conclusions about political financing.

However, the lack of definitive answers has done little to calm public concern.

State Senator Greg Dolezal and two fellow Republican candidates have filed an emergency lawsuit against Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, demanding a court order to let poll watchers and State Election Board observers into the infamous “bunker” where Georgia’s statewide vote totals are received and published.

Senator Dolezal, a Trump-aligned warrior running for Lieutenant Governor, made the announcement himself:

Joining Dolezal in the lawsuit filed in Fulton County Superior Court are congressional candidate Chris Mora and Cobb County Commissioner Keli Gambrill.

The emergency motion seeks a temporary restraining order and writ of mandamus to compel Raffensperger’s office to grant real-time access to the Election Night Reporting Room / Emergency Operations Center – the so-called “bunker” – where county results are aggregated, verified, and released to the public.

The Federalist explains:

“The secretary of state’s secure, centralized Election Night Reporting Room — known in Georgia election circles as ‘the Bunker’ — is an underground facility on the east side of Atlanta where votes from Georgia’s 159 counties are aggregated in real time and statewide results are prepared for public release. On election nights, a small team of SOS (Secretary of State) staff monitors the process in a conference-room-style setting as final numbers roll in.”

According to reports, both Republican and Democrat observers requested access. Dolezal argued that allowing observers into the room would simply provide “additional transparency and additional confidence” in the process.

The controversy exploded after reports surfaced claiming the “bunker” was off-limits not only to the public, but even to members of Georgia’s State Election Board.
