Vice President JD Vance deflected when asked about a “joint ticket” with Rubio in 2028.

Vance on Wednesday announced that the federal government is deferring $1.3 billion dollars in Medicaid reimbursements to California.

Vance was joined by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz.

“We’re announcing that the federal government is deferring $1.3 billion in Medicaid reimbursements from the state of California,” Vance said.

“And the simple reason is because the state of California has not taken fraud very seriously,” he said.

“We believe that at least half of the hospices in the entire area around Los Angeles are fraudulent,” Dr. Oz said later in the press conference.

“Today, we announce 800 of those hospices have been suspended. 800 hospices that last year charged the federal taxpayer $1.4 billion will no longer be paid,” Dr. Oz added.

After the press conference, Vance took questions from reporters.

One reporter asked Vance about a “joint ticket” with Rubio in 2028.

“What I think of… um, there are a few topics that I want to talk about less than what office I’m going to run for years down the road when I’m having a good time and trying to do good work in the job that the American people already elected me to do,” Vance said.

Vance continued, “I love Marco. I think he’s a great Secretary of State.”

“I think both of us are very much focused on accomplishing the American people’s business right now,” he said.

“If I was the American people, there are a few things that I would hate more than a person who’s barely been in one office for a year and a half, who’s angling for a job two and a half years down the road. Let’s do a good job now,” Vance said.

We are. We just got to keep at it,” Vance added.

Establishment RINO Governor Brian Kemp has officially called a special legislative session to redraw the state’s congressional, state House, and state Senate maps following the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark ruling gutting key parts of the radical Voting Rights Act.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp announced Wednesday that he is calling a special legislative session beginning June 17 to redraw the state’s congressional and legislative district maps.

Republicans are positioned to pick up TWO MORE U.S. House seats in the Peach State, flipping the current 9R-5D delegation into a crushing 11 Republican to 3 Democrat map.

But here’s the catch: Kemp is deliberately making these new maps effective for the 2028 elections, NOT the 2026 midterms.

“Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) and the House Oversight Committee issued a warning and subpoena to the CIA and Director John Ratcliffe on Wednesday. The action came after a whistleblower accused the agency of seizing documents related to the JFK assassination and MKUltra — the CIA’s experimentation on human behavior and mind control through the use of drugs — from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard.”

CIA whistleblower James Erdman III testified during a Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing earlier that the CIA “took back 40 boxes of JFK files and MK Ultra files being processed for declassification by DNI Gabbard” as part of what he described as “documented efforts to circumvent oversight.”

During an interview with News Nation’s Katie Pavlich following the bombshell testimony, Luna sounded the alarm on the CIA’s refusal to follow President Trump’s executive orders and its aversion to transparency.

Luna: Yeah, so we were actually just notified that the CIA went in and took documents out of ODNI, multiple boxes pertaining to the JFK files as well as MK Ultra. The reason why this is troubling is A: there was an executive order that the President had directed the full declassification of JFK. But then also to the MK Ultra files, the CIA famously has said that, you know, all documents were released and other documents had been destroyed. So these are allegedly those documents that apparently never existed and so very troubling.

I did just talk to Chairman Comer, and we are sending, in the next hour or so, a preservation of documents request to the CIA. I have calls into the White House, to the director of the CIA himself, and so obviously, as this develops, we’ll keep everyone up to date, but strange times we’re living in.

Luna later published a letter signed by herself and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), demanding the preservation of all existing and future records related to the seized items.

“Docs need to be returned to ODNI given that ODNI was given direction and authority by the President to declass RFK, MLK, & JFK. Regarding MKULTRA, these were documents specifically requested by my Task Force and currently being used for our investigation,” she wrote on X.

Luna further blasted the CIA, giving them a deadline of 24 hours to return the documents and threatening to subpoena CIA officials.

The remains of the second missing US soldier who disappeared earlier this month during African Lion, a training exercise in Morocco, have been recovered.

The second missing soldier was identified as Spc. Mariyah Symone Collington of Taveras, Florida.

She was 19 years old.

“Royal Moroccan Armed Forces transported the Soldier’s remains by a Moroccan helicopter to the morgue of Moulay El Hassan Military Hospital in Guelmim, Morocco,” the US Army statement said.

Earlier this week, the remains of Lamont Key Jr., the other missing US soldier who disappeared earlier this month during African Lion, a training exercise in Morocco, were recovered.

“A Moroccan military search team found the Soldier in the water along the shoreline at approximately 8:55 a.m. local time, May 9, within roughly one mile of where both Soldiers reportedly entered the ocean,” U.S Army Europe and Africa said in a statement.

The two soldiers were off duty when they reportedly went missing while they were hiking.

The two fell off a cliff and into the Atlantic Ocean.

Morocco and France assisted the US in the search for the missing US service members.

“The search for the two U.S. soldiers has covered more than 4,600 square miles of sea and coastal area, said Col. Alex C. Tignor, a spokesman for the Army’s Southern European Task Force, Africa, in an email Saturday,” Stars and Stripes reported.

The CIA has significantly expanded covert operations against Mexican drug cartels, including alleged involvement in targeted lethal missions inside Mexico.

According to a report from CNN, the CIA were involved in the March 28th killing of Francisco Beltran, an alleged mid-level Sinaloa Cartel operative known as “El Payin.”

Beltran died when an explosive device hidden inside his vehicle detonated on a major highway outside Mexico City.

Mexican officials confirmed the blast was caused by a device placed in the car, while sources told CNN the operation involved CIA personnel.

Since 2025, the CIA’s elite Ground Branch unit has taken a more direct role in anti-cartel operations, moving beyond intelligence sharing into operational support and targeted strikes.

The escalation follows President Trump’s designation of major Mexican cartels, including Sinaloa and Jalisco New Generation, as foreign terrorist organizations.

The report also states that the CIA has increased surveillance operations over Mexico and expanded its ground presence, though the number of operatives remains relatively small.

The shift appears to be driven in part by U.S. concerns that cartel groups have penetrated parts of the Mexican government and security apparatus.

That tension surfaced recently after CIA operatives were reportedly involved in a meth lab raid in Chihuahua without full authorization from Mexico’s federal government.

Mexico’s leftist President Claudia Sheinbaum publicly objected to the raid, saying foreign agents cannot independently operate on Mexican soil.

Last year, her government attempted to change the country’s constitution to protect the cartels, saying any attacks would amount to an attack on the country’s “sovereignty.”

“What we want to make clear in the face of this designation is that we do not negotiate sovereignty,” Sheinbaum said at the time.

“This cannot be an opportunity on the part of the United States to invade our sovereignty.”

Mexico’s President Plans to Change Constitution to Protect Drug Cartels From U.S. Military Strikes

CIA personnel were also present during the operation that killed Jalisco cartel leader “El Mencho,” providing real-time intelligence and support, though Mexican forces carried out the strike.

The Trump administration has made cartel destruction a central national security priority.

A recent White House counterterrorism strategy stated that “neutralization” of cartels in the Western Hemisphere is its top objective.
