WATCH: Rep. Brandon Gill Vows Accountability as Oversight Committee Task Force Launches Investigation into BILLIONS of Dollars in Ohio Medicaid Fraud
May 24, 2026
Re. Brandon Gill
Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) announced last week that his team on the House Oversight Committee is going to tear a newly uncovered Ohio-based Medicaid fraud scheme down âpiece by piece.âÂ
Gill was tapped this month to chair the Oversight Committeeâs new Task Force on Defending Constitutional Rights and Exposing Institutional Abuses, where heâs planning to uncover billions of dollars in fraud.
âHundreds of millions of dollars of your tax money is being wasted in an Ohio Medicaid scheme that weâre uncovering on the House Oversight Committee. We believe this scheme stretches into the billions of dollars,â Gill said in a clip shared on X on Friday. âThe Ohio Medicaid Agency had years to figure this out. A reporter did it in just a couple months, and weâre building on their work.â
âWeâre saving you taxpayer dollars, and weâre ending fraud on my task force at the House Oversight Committee,â he added.
âFraudsters stole hundreds of millions of your tax dollars through an Ohio Medicaid scandal. My GOP Oversight Task Force is pulling this scheme apart piece by piece,â Gill wrote on X.
WATCH:
As The Gateway Pundit reported, House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) and Gill announced they launched a sweeping federal investigation into this massive fraud schemes, perhaps the
According to reports cited by House Republicans, a state audit found that Franklin County, home to just 11.5% of Ohioâs population, accounted for roughly 38% to 40% of the $1.6 billion spent statewide, with nearly 40% of that amount flowing to just two neighboring ZIP codes, totaling approximately $240 million.
Auditors also identified a 15.6% error rate in eligibility determinations, raising concerns that improper payments could range from $800 million to as much as $4 billion.
Gill and Comer discussed the findings to date and the looming investigation last week.
Gill revealed that likely billions of dollars are being laundered through âa wide variety of shell companies that weâre facilitating as intermediaries to facilitate payments to organizations that werenât providing any type of health care.â
FBI-Assisted Operation Rescues Kidnapped U.S. Citizen in Jalisco
May 24, 2026
Coordinated efforts between Mexican authorities and the FBI led to the safe recovery of an American citizen abducted in a remote mountainous region of Jalisco, Mexico.
A joint security operation involving Mexican federal and state authorities, supported by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), resulted in the rescue of a kidnapped U.S. citizen in the western Mexican state of Jalisco. The victim was located alive in a rugged mountainous area between the municipalities of IxtlahuacĂĄn del RĂo and CuquĂo after intelligence-sharing and emergency coordination between both countries.
According to officials from the Jalisco State Prosecutorâs Office, the rescue mission began after the FBI submitted a formal alert and request for assistance to Mexican authorities regarding the disappearance and suspected kidnapping of the American citizen. Mexican security agencies quickly launched an operation involving ground units, aerial surveillance, and specialized tactical teams.

Authorities said the operation took place on the morning of May 22, 2026, in a difficult-to-access mountainous corridor in central Jalisco. Helicopters, including Black Hawk aircraft, were reportedly used to reach remote sections of the terrain where investigators believed the victim was being held.

Drone technology and thermal imaging equipment were also deployed to support the search operation.
During the rescue mission, law enforcement authorities arrested one suspect believed to be connected to the kidnapping. Officials have not publicly identified either the victim or the suspect, as investigators continue working to determine whether additional individuals were involved in the crime.
The kidnapped American citizen was found alive and reportedly unharmed. Medical personnel evaluated the victim immediately following the rescue, and authorities confirmed the individual was no longer in danger.
The operation underscored the ongoing cooperation between U.S. and Mexican law enforcement agencies in responding to crimes involving foreign nationals in Mexico. Security analysts say coordination between the FBI and Mexican authorities has become increasingly critical in cases involving kidnappings, organized crime, and cross-border investigations.
Jalisco has faced persistent security challenges in recent years due to criminal activity linked to organized crime groups operating in both rural and urban areas of the state. The mountainous regions surrounding CuquĂo and IxtlahuacĂĄn del RĂo are particularly known for their difficult terrain, which can complicate rescue and security operations.
Authorities have not confirmed whether the kidnapping was directly linked to organized criminal networks. Mexican officials stated that the investigation remains active and warned that additional arrests could follow as investigators gather more evidence surrounding the abduction.
Organizations Behind Gaza Flotilla Terrorist and Jihadist Links, Part 1
May 24, 2026
The list of organizers and donors behind the Global Sumud Flotilla to Gaza included numerous organizations linked to Hamas, several of which have been designated for funding terrorism.
Â
The Global Sumud Flotilla, a coalition of activist vessels organized under the banner of delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza, was intercepted by the Israeli Navy on May 19, 2026, and more than 400 participants were detained. On the same day, the U.S. Treasury sanctioned four individuals connected to the flotillaâs steering committee, establishing through primary government documentation that the operation was organized by groups with direct ties to Hamas.
Among the organizations behind the current and previous flotillas were groups linked to Hamas, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated armed networks: the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, the Union of Good, the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad (PCPA), Samidoun, Harakat Sawad Misr (HASM), and the Hamas International Relations Bureau.
As the groups involved are too numerous to cover in a single article, this first installment of a two-part series examines the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and the Union of Good.
The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation â İnsan Hak ve HĂŒrriyetleri ve İnsani Yardım Vakfı â was established in Germany in 1992 to provide aid to Bosnian Muslims and officially registered as an NGO in Istanbul in 1995. IHH is a government-organized NGO (GONGO) closely linked to the Turkish ruling party under President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄan. According to Israelâs Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center, IHH operates with âtwo hatsâ: one as a legitimate humanitarian organization and the other as âa radical, jihadi and pro-Hamas organization with involvement in terrorist attacks.â
According to a December 2021 article by the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs, IHH transferred funds to Hamasâs military wing âsystematically and for years,â with IHHâs Gaza branch head Mehmet Kaya delivering cash from Turkey directly to senior Hamas officials Ismail Haniyeh and Raed Saad. Israeli intelligence and open-source reporting document IHHâs role in weapons procurement and construction of Hamas training facilities in Gaza.
Israel designated IHH as a terrorist entity in 2008 primarily because of its membership in the Union of Good, a Muslim Brotherhood coalition of charities sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury for raising funds for Hamas. IHH leaders met with Hamas political leader Khaled Mashaal in Damascus, held joint press conferences with Hamas spokesmen, attended a Hamas rally in Gaza, and hosted a Union of Good congress in Istanbul, during which IHH transferred tens of thousands of dollars to two Hamas-affiliated charities within the Union.
Germany banned IHH in 2010. Then-Interior Minister Thomas de MaiziĂšre stated, âUnder the cover of humanitarian aid, the IHH has been supporting for a long time, and with considerable financial resources, so-called social groups which have to be seen as connected to Hamas.â The German ban followed findings that IHH had channeled an estimated âŹ6.6 million to Hamas.
Franceâs former chief counterterrorism magistrate Jean-Louis BruguiĂšre, who testified during the 2001 millennium plot trial in U.S. federal court, stated that IHH had âclear, long-standing ties to terrorism and Jihad,â including logistical support for members of the Fateh Kamel cell, a network connected to al-Qaeda. Ahmed Ressam, a follower of the network, was arrested in 1999 while en route to bomb Los Angeles International Airport. BruguiĂšre stated that IHH âwas basically helping al-Qaeda when bin Laden started to want to target US soil.â
Turkish security forces also raided IHH facilities in 1997, reportedly confiscating weapons, explosives, and instructions for constructing improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
On May 31, 2010, IHH organized the Gaza Freedom Flotilla. When Israeli commandos boarded the lead vessel, the Mavi Marmara, to enforce the naval blockade, they encountered violent resistance. Of the 53 injured passengers, including 23 who were seriously wounded, nearly all were identified as IHH activists or individuals affiliated with Turkish Islamist networks. According to an Israeli intelligence assessment, none belonged to Western human rights or pro-Palestinian organizations. The report concluded that this was âtestimony that human rights activists who joined the flotilla out of humanitarian considerations took no part in the violent confrontation initiated by IHH.â Ten passengers were killed, and another later died after spending four years in a coma.
Beyond Gaza, IHHâs record includes allegations of helping smuggle weapons to militant factions in Syria during the 1990s and 2000s and assisting Chechen fighters in transferring funds to al-Qaeda in Saudi Arabia.
Israelâs Foreign Ministry specifically cited IHH and the Mavi Marmara while characterizing the 2026 flotilla as being organized by âviolentâ Turkish groups whose purpose was âto serve Hamas, to divert attention from Hamasâs refusal to disarm, and to obstruct progress on President Trumpâs peace plan.â
Hamasâs leadership created the Union of Good in late 2000, shortly after the start of the Second Intifada, specifically to facilitate the transfer of funds to Hamas. Based in Saudi Arabia, the Union operates as a broker, channeling money between a network of charitable organizations and Hamas-controlled entities in the West Bank and Gaza. The U.S. Treasury designated the Union of Good on November 12, 2008, under Executive Order 13224, which targets individuals and organizations providing financial, technological, or material support to terrorism.
The network facilitated the transfer of tens of millions of dollars annually to Hamas-managed associations.
A 2007 Union of Good website listed 54 participating organizations across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. Some of the transferred funds reportedly compensated the families of suicide bombers. The Al-Salah Society, designated in August 2007 as a key Hamas support node, employed members of Hamasâs military wing and supported Hamas-affiliated combatants during the First Intifada. Documents seized by the Israel Defense Forces reportedly confirmed that the Union of Good was aware donations were reaching the families of suicide bombers.
The Unionâs founder and board chairman was Youssef Qaradawi, a prominent Muslim Brotherhood scholar and former Al Jazeera host known for fatwas condoning suicide bombings against Israelis and for advocating the spread of sharia law into Europe and America. Board member Abd al-Majid al-Zindani, a Yemen-based Hamas fundraiser designated in 2004 for supporting al-Qaeda, delivered a fundraising speech at a 2006 Hamas conference where crowds pledged millions of riyals. The Unionâs secretary general simultaneously served as vice chairman of Interpal and, as of mid-2007, sat on the Hamas executive committee under Khaled Meshaal.
A 2025 report by the Foundation for Defense of Democracies on Hamas fundraising in South Africa found that Ebrahim Gabriels, director of the Al-Quds Foundation South Africa, served on the Unionâs board. Imtiaz Sooliman, later appointed to South African President Cyril Ramaphosaâs National Dialogue, founded Gift of the Givers, which became a Union of Good member organization in November 2002. Before founding Gift of the Givers, Sooliman established the South African branch of the Al-Aqsa Foundation in 1991, an organization later sanctioned by the United States in 2003.
The Union links directly to the flotilla through IHH. The Netherlands-based Israa Charitable Foundation, also a Union of Good member, reports directly to Hamasâs military wing and generates revenue for Hamas under the guise of legitimate charitable work.

Eric Barber: J6 Patriot and Stock Car Driver Fighting to Keep His Racing Dream Alive
Parts of this post were first shared at The Gateway Pundit on August 4, 2025.
Eric Barberâs story is one of grit, perseverance, and a refusal to give upâeven when the odds are stacked against him. A former city councilman and a January 6th political prisoner, Eric has endured the destruction of his career, the loss of his freedom, and relentless persecution. Yet through it all, he has held on to the one passion that has kept him grounded: stock car racing.
Eric has also remained active in his local community and politics. He was elected to the Parkersburg City Council in 2016 and quickly made headlines for standing firm in his Christian faithâreciting the Lordâs Prayer before meetings, which led to a lawsuit from the Freedom From Religion Foundation. In 2018, he worked with FAMM to lobby for the First Step Act in D.C., a law that would later benefit him personally as a federal prisoner.
âRacing is my therapy, when Iâm behind the wheel, I can forget, at least for a while, about all the attacks and the stigma of being a J6er. But without a sponsor, I canât keep going much longer. Every car on pit lane has a sponsor but mine.â
As the Indy 500 is held today, remember Eric Barber in your thoughts.
