Far-left extremist California State Sen. Scott Wiener is advancing to the November general election in the race for California’s 11th Congressional District, the deep-blue San Francisco seat that Nancy Pelosi has held for nearly 40 years before announcing her retirement.

With roughly 49% of votes counted as of early Wednesday morning following the June 2 primary, Wiener led decisively with 41.3%, ahead of Pelosi-endorsed San Francisco Supervisor Connie Chan at 28.6%, and former AOC chief of staff Saikat Chakrabarti trailing behind in third place.

Under California’s top-two primary system, Wiener will advance to face Chan, or whoever ultimately finishes second, in November.

The district is so heavily blue that Weiner will likely win the fall election.

Pelosi had endorsed Chan just weeks before the primary, calling her a trusted ally who knows the district and Congress.

Wiener, a 56-year-old openly gay Harvard Law graduate and former San Francisco supervisor, has built a reputation as one of California’s most extreme politicians.

Wiener’s record is packed with legislation that has drawn intense backlash from conservatives, law enforcement, parents, women’s rights advocates, and even some moderate Democrats in San Francisco.

Among the most controversial is Senate Bill 132, the Transgender Respect, Agency, and Dignity Act, which he authored and which Governor Gavin Newsom signed in 2020.

The law requires the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to house transgender, non-binary, and intersex inmates according to their self-identified “gender identity,” or wherever they say they “feel safest,” rather than biological sex, and mandates that staff use preferred pronouns and honorifics.

Female inmates, women’s safety groups, and anyone with common sense argue this law endangers biological women by allowing male individuals into female prisons and showers, potentially increasing assault risks, while Wiener has defended it as protecting “vulnerable transgender” inmates from “violence.”

Wiener also authored Senate Bill 239 in 2017, which dramatically weakened California’s HIV criminalization laws from the 1980s and 1990s.

The measure reduced penalties for knowingly exposing someone to HIV from a felony to a misdemeanor in many cases, repealed HIV-specific felonies for things like donating blood or soliciting sex without disclosure, and aligned HIV rules with other communicable diseases.

Weiner also took a sledgehammer to sex-offender policies with Senate Bill 145 in 2020, which extended judicial discretion on sex-offender registry requirements for all consensual acts between a minor, 14-17, and an adult no more than 10 years older, removing the prior mandatory lifetime registration for men who have sex with underage boys.

Conservatives branded it the “pedophile protection bill.”

Wiener has also gone after federal immigration enforcement with Senate Bill 747, the No Kings Act, which passed the California Senate in 2026 as first-in-the-nation legislation allowing Californians to sue ICE, Border Patrol, and other federal agents in state court for alleged constitutional violations.

The radical leftist has long called for abolishing ICE outright, labeling it a “terror organization,” and previously pushed bills banning federal agents from wearing masks during operations, despite constant doxing threats from his political allies.

Weiner has supported criminal justice reforms reducing penalties for nonviolent drug offenses and has championed additional transgender measures, including SB 107, making California a “refuge” for transgender youth and families fleeing red-state restrictions, and SB 59, automatically sealing court records for gender marker and name changes.

Zach Lahn has won the Republican nomination for Governor.

The MAHA-endorsed farmer and businessman narrowly defeated U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra — who carried a late endorsement from President Donald Trump — in Tuesday’s crowded GOP primary. With 99% of votes counted, Lahn took 80,765 votes (37.8%) to Feenstra’s 79,113 votes (37.01%). The rest of the field split the remaining votes among Adam Steen, Brad Sherman, and Eddie Andrews.

Results of the Republican primary show Zach Lahn leading with 37.8% of votes, followed closely by Randy Feenstra at 37.0%.

Feenstra conceded Tuesday night before the race was officially called.

Fox News reported:

The result marked a major setback for Feenstra, who represents Iowa’s 4th Congressional District and entered Election Day as the best-known Republican in the race. Feenstra had a congressional profile, a fundraising advantage, support from prominent Iowa Republicans, including former Gov. Terry Branstad, and a late endorsement from President Donald Trump.

Lahn had just around a 1,600-vote lead ahead of Feenstra shortly after midnight Eastern Time with 99% of the votes counted, according to The Associated Press’ elections tracker.

“I just called Zach Lahn, and said, ‘Hey, you got to carry this torch. We got to keep this state red. You got to make sure you beat Rob Sand.’ And I’m all in to help him out,” Feenstra said to supporters at his election night gathering, according to a video recording shared by Iowas News Now reporter Skylar Tallal.

Trump endorsed Feenstra just days before the primary, calling him “MAGA all the way” and giving him his “Complete and Total Endorsement.” Feenstra campaigned as a close ally of the president, highlighting his support for Trump’s agenda on border security, tax cuts, energy production and agriculture.

Lahn, meanwhile, ran as an outsider candidate and drew support from MAHA Action, the political group aligned with the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement. His campaign website describes him as a father, farmer and businessman advancing an “Iowa First” agenda.

Protesters clashed with polcie in Southampton on Tuesday evening to demand justice for Henry Nowak.

Huge numbers of protesters gathered outside a Southampton police station on Tuesday night led by Tommy Robinson in order to demand justice for Henry Nowak.

Nowak, an 18-year-old white British teenager, was killed last December by Vickrum Digwa, a Sikh man who falsely claimed he had been racially abused before the attack.

He may have survived had officers not handcuffed him while he lay bleeding from stab wounds inflicted with by Digwa’s Sikh ceremonial sword.

Police bodycam footage showed that when Nowak told an officer he had been stabbed, the officer replied: “Don’t think you have mate.”

Digwa, 23, was jailed for life on Monday after being convicted of murdering Nowak as the teenager walked back to his student accommodation in the city of Southampton.

The “Justice for Henry Nowak” demonstration began outside Southampton Central Police Station.

Crowds waved Union flags and held signs reading “Henry’s blood is on your hands,” “Save our kids,” and “Prison 4 police on scene.”

Chants of “Shame on you” and “Racist police, off our streets” rang out as speakers addressed the crowd, including the popular street activist Tommy Robinson.

“If Henry wasn’t white, he wouldn’t have been handcuffed,” Robinson told demonstrators, adding that he wanted to see the officer responsible in prison.

“A white boy who done nothing was handcuffed, a murderer in possession of a knife who stabbed someone five times isn’t.”

Nick Tenconi, leader of the UK Independence Party, led a prayer for Nowak and denounced two-tier policing.

“The arresting officers believed persecuting him was more important than saving him because he was white,” Tenconi said.

As the evening progressed, several hundred protesters marched toward the area where the killing took place.

Riot police blocked access to the street where Digwa’s family reportedly lives, leading to confrontations between demonstrators and officers.

Some protesters threw bottles, cans, and wheelie bins as police pushed crowds back with shields while a helicopter circled overhead.

Nearby police vehicles were also struck with glass bottles during the unrest.

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood denounced the protests in a post on X and pledged to prosecute those involved.

“There can be no justification for hijacking this tragedy to stir up violence and disorder,” she wrote. “Those responsible can expect to face the full force of the law.”

Fox News anchor Trace Gallagher could hardly believe the numbers he was reading on air as early returns from California’s gubernatorial primary came in Tuesday night.

In deep blue Los Angeles County — one of the most reliably Democrat strongholds in the entire country — Republican candidate Steve Hilton is overperforming in a MAJOR way.

GALLAGHER: “This is the statewide numbers but in L.A. County, we have 51% of the vote is in and Xavier Becerra has 29.2% of the vote, Steve Hilton has what again, Alec?” [Pauses] “22.6%, and 22.4% for Tom Steyer.”

GALLAGHER: “This is just in Los Angeles County. In DEEP blue Los Angeles County.”

GALLAGHER: “You see the blue right there? Well the deep blue area, Steve Hilton with 51% of the vote in is at 22.6%.”

GALLAGHER: “He’s ahead of Tom Steyer and he is behind Xavier Becerra, but holy cow, Kevin! That to me is very telling about this election.”

At the time of this writing, the numbers became even more remarkable as additional votes were counted.

According to live election returns from Los Angeles County with 61.7% of the vote reporting, Xavier Becerra led the field with 29.3% of the vote (338,092 votes), while Republican Steve Hilton surged to 22.7% (262,273 votes), narrowly edging out billionaire Democrat Tom Steyer, who received 22.3% (257,141 votes).

The updated results show Hilton not only holding his own in one of the most Democrat-dominated counties in America, but actually outperforming several prominent Democrat candidates in the race.

This stunning showing comes just hours after The Gateway Pundit reported that Steve Hilton has taken the lead in the statewide race as ballots continue to pour in.

Man speaking passionately during a live broadcast in Los Angeles, with onlookers and cameras capturing the moment.

Former reality TV star Spencer Pratt will advance into the November general election runoff for Los Angeles mayor.

With roughly 50 percent of the expected vote counted early Wednesday morning, Bass led with approximately 36-37 percent while Pratt pulled in a strong 29.2 percent.

Progressive City Councilmember Nithya Raman trailed far behind in third at 21.4 percent.

Under California’s top-two primary system, Bass and Pratt will face off in November, giving Pratt five more months to campaign.

Pratt decided to run on cleaning up the city after becoming fed up with rampant crime, homelessness, and losing his home in the devastating 2025 wildfires, which he, and many others, largely blame on incumbent Mayor Karen Bass’ extreme failures.

Though the election is non-partisan, with no listed parties, Pratt is personally a registered Republican.

The Hills star’s Pacific Palisades home was destroyed in last year’s wildfires. He announced his bid on the one-year anniversary of the destruction, positioning himself as the candidate who lost everything to government incompetence and is now fighting to fix it.

Pratt campaigned on aggressive homeless sweeps, tougher policing, business revival, and accountability for the Bass administration’s handling of disasters and street disorder.

Around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday night at his watch party at Don Antonio’s Mexican restaurant, Pratt stepped outside to address reporters after early results showed him advancing.

In a fiery statement to the gathered press, Pratt declared, “I didn’t know I’d be here tonight, but this is obviously God’s plan, and I’m going to go all the way, and I’m going to show everybody that I’m their mayor.”

Pratt also declared, “The Communists already lost.”

Clips of his statement quickly went viral across social media.

Earlier on election day, Pratt released a hard-hitting video blasting city leadership on affordability and economic growth, emphasizing his focus on boosting commerce and local prosperity.

The Gateway Pundit will continue tracking this high-stakes runoff campaign.
