It’s safe to say the WNBA is the most toxic and dysfunctional professional sports league in US history.

And the league is incapable of learning from its mistakes. As Joe Hoft reported earlier this year, Caitlin Clark was injurted in the 2026 pre-season opener for the Indianapolis Fever.

They had their golden goose, and they ran it over.  To date, rather than provide officiating that was fair and protected Clark, the league allowed women in the league to pull, push, hit, poke, hammer, and totally abuse Clark.  The beatings and abuse took their toll.  No one could have put up with what Clark endured.

In this series in a game last year, Clark was poked in the eye by the opposing player after grabbing and pulling Clark all game long. Then the opposing player assaulted her and pushed her. Clark tried to get away but another opponent punched Clark in the back and then another player crashed Clark to the floor. None of Clark’s teammates stood up for her when this happened.

You get the picture.

The WNBA went on to physically break Caitlin Clark.  It appeared that they wanted to destroy their golden goose, Caitlin Clark. 

But Caitlin Clark keeps coming back.

Which leads us to tonight.

During her game with the Phoenix Mercury Caitlin Clark was tackled,, punched in the neck and kneed in the groin.

Denmark is considering a nationwide ban on the Islamic call to prayer, with the country’s immigration minister saying it should not be heard “over Danish rooftops.”

Morten Bødskov said the government will reopen an investigation into whether the noise can be legally prohibited across the country.

“The call to prayer should not be heard over Danish rooftops,” Bødskov told Danish news agency Ritzau.

“It has no place in Denmark, and you shouldn’t be in any doubt whether you’ve ended up in a suburb of Islamabad when you walk around Denmark.”

The Adhan is traditionally recited five times a day to call Muslims to prayer. In some countries, it is broadcast through loudspeakers attached to mosques or minarets.

Bødskov said the review will examine whether a ban can be introduced while complying with Denmark’s constitutional protections for religious freedom.

The proposal marks the third attempt by a Danish immigration minister to find a legal route for banning public calls to prayer, following earlier efforts in 2020 and 2025.

Some local restrictions already exist. In Copenhagen, noise rules effectively prevent mosques from broadcasting the call to prayer outdoors.

The move comes as Denmark continues to enforce some of Europe’s toughest immigration and integration policies under Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

The country has previously introduced laws allowing authorities to relocate migrants from areas with high concentrations of foreign-born residents.

Denmark has also required some asylum seekers to surrender valuables to help cover the cost of their accommodation.

Any nationwide ban is expected to face legal challenges from Islamic organizations.

Denmark’s constitution protects public worship, though the country already imposes limits on anti-democratic preaching and support for banned organizations.

Other European countries, including Britain and Germany, also place restrictions on outdoor calls to prayer, including limits on volume and timing.

Around 270,000 Muslims live in Denmark, which has a total population of roughly six million. The country has about 100 mosques.

The Grand Mosque of Copenhagen does not broadcast the call to prayer outdoors under an agreement with local authorities.

A former British police officer who was banned from serving after asking questions about Islam has reached a settlement with the police force that banned him.

“I am pleased to have now reached a settlement, I want to move on with my life but believe radical national change is needed in our police force,” former officer Luke Salmons said, according to the BBC.

Salmons ran afoul of the rules when during an October 2024 training session he asked some hard questions about Islam.

“The whole day was pretty much about Islam. At one point the trainers walked up and down the room for several minutes saying ‘Islam is a religion of peace’ over and over again. It was bizarre,” he said.

A Muslim sergeant invited him to a discussion over coffee after a private lunch conversation. To be prepared, Salmons brought a copy of “Answering Jihad — A Better Way Forward” by Nabeel Qureshi, an ex-Muslim turned Christian, to work with him.

Two officers photographed the book, and the next day, the hammer fell when an inspector took him aside.

“She took me in a room, deliberately said to me, ‘I don’t like your beliefs,’ which indicates to me that she was meaning my Christian beliefs, which is discrimination towards me and my faith, which in itself is gross misconduct,” he said, according to Fox News.

Salmons said he was irked by instructors chanting, “Islam is a religion of peace.”

“To me, it kind of stopped being a training course and became more of something like indoctrination really,” Salmons said.

But that’s normal in Britain, he said.

“There’s a real fear in the police about speaking out, about anything, especially to do with minorities, certainly about Islam. There’s certainly a fear within the police within the institutions in the whole in the U.K.,” Salmons said.

“So I was told to shut up and apologize, so I did that, and then I waited, and this investigation went on and on,” he said.

In time, he moved on to provide for his family, but he noted that in spite of the settlement, and his removal from the list of people banned from joining the police, the North Yorkshire police never apologized and he was never offered his old job back.

“It’s a bit disheartening really,” he said. “So, obviously, that’s why I’m putting my story out there, to encourage other people in the same position.”

His advice to others in his situation was, “Don’t quit, don’t stop fighting. If you’ve done nothing wrong, stand up for what is true, stand up for justice, stand up for your faith, if you’re a Christian in the workplace.”

“We need to get back to people doing their job on merit and not on skin color or religion. Our institutions are scared of Islam,” he said, according to The Telegraph.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump is delivering remarks on the National Mall to kick off the Great American State Fair.

From June 25 to July 10, the National Mall will host the free-to-the-public “world-class exposition and modern-day World’s Fair celebrating the people, traditions, innovations, and spirit that make America the greatest nation on Earth,” according to Freedom 250, the organization tasked by the President with planning and organizing the semiquincentennial July 4 celebrations.

The Fair will feature 150 exhibits from all 56 states and territories, musical performances, military exhibitions and flyovers, and a 110-foot Ferris wheel.

A powerful 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck northern Japan on Wednesday evening (Thursday local time).

No tsunami warning was issued.

“The Japan Meteorological Agency said the epicenter was 50 kilometers deep off the coast of Iwate Prefecture,” The Japan Times reported.

This is the third major earthquake to hit Japan this year.

There are no reports of casualties according to The Japan Times.

A powerful earthquake struck off Japan’s northern coast on Thursday, but there was no danger of a tsunami, the country’s meteorological agency said.

The quake had a preliminary magnitude of 6.9 and occurred off the eastern coast of Iwate, the Japan Meteorological Agency said. The quake had a depth of about 50 kilometers (30 miles), it said. The U.S. Geological Survey also reported a magnitude of 6.9.

The rattling occurred in the area where strong earthquakes have repeatedly been reported in recent months.

The quake, which struck Japan’s northeastern region during Thursday’s morning rush hour, also mildly shook Tokyo, but there were no immediate reports of injuries or damages.

A magnitude 7.5 earthquake struck Venezuela on Wednesday evening as well.

On Wednesday morning, a 5.7 magnitude quake hit Northern California.
