U.S. lawmakers speaking at a press conference with American flags in the background, discussing important legislative issues.

Democrat Rep. Ted Lieu on Wednesday suggested that President Trump is taking a special drug because he is terminally ill.

Lieu made the remarks after President Trump abruptly announced that he canceled the housing bill signing ceremony until the SAVE America Act is passed.

Ted Lieu said Trump canceled the signing ceremony because he is on drugs and dying.

“Today’s Housing News Conference and Signing is hereby cancelled until such time as we pass the desperately needed SAVE AMERICA ACT, which I consider to be a National Emergency. Thank you for your attention to this matter,” Trump said on Truth Social.

“Inflation is up. Grocery prices are up. Utility costs are up. Housing prices are up. We have a bipartisan housing bill that both the Congress and Senate passed. There was supposed to be a big signing ceremony today in the Capitol, and then all of a sudden Donald Trump decides he’s not coming to sign the bill,” Ted Lieu said.

“Well, why is that? Did he wake up on the wrong side of the bed? Is he unable to stay awake today? What’s causing him to chicken out again? Is it Taco Wednesday, or is it side effects from a drug? We don’t know,” Ted Lieu said.

“He has weakness, swelling…one person in America got this special new drug is a 79-year-old … this drug can only be given to someone who has a terminal illness!” Ted Lieu said.

“The White House needs to come clean…Did Donald Trump get this special drug?” Lieu said.

White House Communications Director Steven Cheung dropped in on Ted Lieu.

“Ted Lewd is a dumbass. He probably spent hours laughing to himself thinking that peddling this lie would be funny. Sadly for Ted, there’s no special new drug to cure being a bitch,” Steven Cheung said.

War Secretary Hegseth’s ‘Voluntary’ Flu Vaccine Policy Sparks Controversy Amid Summertime Influenza Outbreak and Requests for Policy Exceptions

War Secretary Hegseth’s ‘Voluntary’ Flu Vaccine Policy Sparks Controversy Amid Summertime Influenza Outbreak and Requests for Policy Exceptions

On April 20, War Secretary Pete Hegseth sent a memorandum to Pentagon officials and various defense agencies declaring that, “effective immediately,” members of the Active and Reserve Components, as well as civilian personnel of the Department of War, will no longer be mandated to receive the flu vaccine. The revised guidance states that the annual influenza vaccine was “voluntary.”

The following day, on X, he announced, “The War Department is once again restoring freedom to our Joint Force. We are discarding the mandatory flu vaccine requirement, effective immediately.”

Two months later, in June, military personnel have been blind-sided. For many, Hegseth’s lifting of the flu mandate has been perceived as “pure theater” due to the new provisions now included in the policy exceptions (see image below). As a result, for the majority of service members, it will remain mandatory (emphasis mine).

Fewer than three weeks following Hegseth’s announcement, the Air Force, Army, Navy, and Marine Corps made requests for “exception to policy (ETP)” and Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness Anthony Tata has signed off on those requests.

Memorandum from the Under Secretary of War outlining seasonal influenza vaccine exceptions for Air Force, Army, and Navy personnel, dated June 2026, detailing specific roles and responsibilities.

Were all these requests submitted on May 5 as the updated memo indicates? The plausibility of this timeline suggest it may be more than mere coincidence.

Conveniently, with many blaming Hegseth, reports started emerging regarding a mid-summer influenza outbreak at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas in previous weeks, affecting over 200 individuals and possibly leading to one fatality. This outbreak raised questions about the timing and nature of the ETP requests made by the military branches.

According to one source, an attorney, who spoke anonymously to The Gateway Pundit, this is “clearly an information op, given the dates on the different services’ ETP, with the timing of the articles by New York Times and Washington Post, and amplifiers.”

“I view Hegseth as sincere, with a sincere cadre working to right the wrongs, but this is combined arms, deep-state, Big Pharma, perfumed Pentagon princes’ opposition to giving religious exemptions to cash cow vaccines, brought to you via their mouthpieces in the Fourth Estate,” said the anonymous source.

With regard to the Pentagon’s opposition to granting religious accommodations, attorney Davis Younts agreed with the source. The retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and former Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer told The Gateway Pundit that he has “grave concerns that these ‘exceptions’ will lead to significant abuses.”

He pointed out that the law requires individualized review for every situation when a Religious Accommodation Request is submitted. “However, all of the branches have demonstrated a consistent pattern ignoring the religious freedom of service members.”

For him, “This language and approach is not only illogical, but it will likely contribute to continued abuse.”

As the situation unfolds, it becomes increasingly clear that the implications of War Secretary Pete Hegseth’s policy shift extend far beyond the immediate lifting of the flu vaccine mandate. The confluence of an influenza outbreak and the subsequent requests for policy exceptions raises critical questions about transparency and accountability in the decision-making processes of the Pentagon.

Given the new circumstances, numerous service members have reached out to the author to express their fear of being forced to take the flu shot, particularly when requests for religious accommodation are likely to fail unless someone of significant authority, like the Secretary of War, intervenes to defend their constitutional rights.

As voices of concern grow louder, it remains to be seen whether the leadership will genuinely prioritize the rights and well-being of service members or succumb to the pressures of external influences.

Democrat Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) lost it on camera Wednesday when a reporter pressed him on whether he plans to endorse the scandal-plagued Maine Democrat Senate nominee Graham Platner ahead of the midterms.

The Massachusetts congressman appeared to erupt in anger and knocked down a camera rather than give a straight answer about backing the controversial candidate.

The tense moment, captured by Fox News’ reporter Cameron Cawthorne, comes as Democrats face growing questions about party unity and which radical nominees their leaders are actually willing to stand behind in key races.

As The Gateway Pundit has reported, Graham “Nazi Tattoo” Platner, the self-described communist and oyster farmer, won Maine’s Democrat Senate primary earlier this month despite a growing list of serious scandals.

Platner has a chest tattoo resembling the Nazi SS Totenkopf (Death’s Head) symbol. He claims he got it in 2007 in Croatia without knowing its meaning and later covered it up.

He has also been hit with old Reddit posts in which he called himself a “communist,” wrote “all cops are bastards,” agreed that rural white Americans are “racist and stupid,” and referenced political violence and armed resistance.

Additional reporting revealed Platner sent sexual text messages to other women while married and faced accusations from multiple ex-girlfriends of unsettling and, in at least one case, physically threatening behavior.

He has also drawn fire for deleted Reddit comments blaming sexual assault victims and telling them to “take some responsibility.”

Moulton himself previously rushed to Platner’s defense. In late May he told CNN that Platner “clearly made a mistake” with the Nazi-linked tattoo but “owned that mistake,” “took responsibility for it,” and that it was “not disqualifying.” Moulton contrasted Platner favorably with Republican Sen. Susan Collins, whom he accused of doing “Donald Trump’s bidding.”

But when asked point-blank this week about actually endorsing the nominee, Moulton’s calm defense evaporated. The video shows him lashing out and appearing to knock over the camera instead of answering.

WATCH:

Democrats keep telling voters they are the party of “unity” and “decency.” Yet they nominated and continue to prop up a guy with a Nazi SS tattoo who once openly embraced communist talking points. When one of their own members is asked a simple question about supporting him, the result is a meltdown and a knocked-over camera.

Unpopular Chancellor Friedrich Merz is presiding over the decay of Germany – Wiki Commons

Germany is down and out.

13 months into his Chancellorship, Friedrich Merz is polling as the most unpopular German head of government in modern times.

That apparently does nothing to tamp down his cocky self-confidence and sense of self-importance, which so annoy the public.

And things may be about to take a turn for the worse as the German financial reality is biting.

To begin with, Germany is considering raising its pension age from 67 to 70 – the kind of move that set France ablaze for months while Emmanuel Macron tried to pretend all was great.

Germany is Europe’s largest economy, but it is stagnant, and the public finances are collapsing, so a ‘government-appointed commission’ has recommended a ‘radical overhaul of the pension system’.

The Telegraph reported:

“The commission, whose proposals are set to be presented to Friedrich Merz, the German chancellor, on Tuesday, has suggested incremental increases to the pension age every decade according to ‌life ‌expectancy, rising to 70 by 2092 under its current calculations.

They propose a 2:1 ratio formula. For every additional year of statistical life expectancy gained by the population, eight months must be spent working and four months can be spent in retirement.”

Currently, Germany takes the contributions taken from current workers to fund the pensions of current retirees, but the former keeps shrinking, while the latter keeps growing.

“We want to reform our country in such a way that future generations, young generations, also have the opportunity to live in freedom, in peace and in prosperity,” said Mr Merz last week.

[…] The commission also wants to reduce the number of gold-plated civil servant pensioners who receive an average of more than €40,000 (£35,000) a year. A recent calculation by Welt newspaper found the annual cost of these pensions, which teachers in many states can access, to be €67bn (£58bn).”

In the meantime, defense giant Rheinmetall saw its shares fall sharply after Berlin scrapped its F126 frigate program, a project that already spent around $2.6 Billion in taxpayer money.

Euronews reported:

“Rheinmetall shares fell as much as 13% after the German government scrapped plans for a major warship order from the firm, which would have been the biggest warship commission since the Second World War. The news magazine “Der Spiegel” reported on Tuesday that the multi-billion-euro project to build six of the world’s largest frigates, the F126, had been cancelled.

The ministry in Berlin said the decision was a response to significant delays, foreseeable cost increases and other risks. However, cancelling the contract could prove costly for taxpayers.

At the same time, Defense Minister Boris Pistorius wants to procure eight smaller frigates instead. To that end, Berlin awarded new contracts to defense contractor TKMS, whose shares rose about 10% in early trading on Wednesday.”

Trump and Zohran Mamdani meet in the Oval Office – November 21, 2025

President Donald Trump has sarcastically congratulated New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani for helping elect three Communists in the state’s Democrat primaries on Tuesday.

The Communists, Brad Lander, Claire Valdez, and Darializa Avila Chevalier, all won their races after endorsements from Mamdani.

In a post to Truth Social on Wednesday, Trump wrote:

Mayor Mamdani pulled through 3 solid Communists, and has received loud and universal applause from the Fake News Media. Congratulations Mr. Mayor!

I went 16-0 last night, helping to elect wonderful American Patriots, and the Media doesn’t say a word. Over the last two years, my endorsement has netted 259 Primary WINS, and almost no losses, with Zero media attention!!! FAKE NEWS. President DJT

Lander is a former NYC Comptroller who defeated incumbent Rep. Dan Goldman. In his victory speech, he declared, “Solidarity is the force that we need to vanquish Trump’s fascism, to abolish ICE, and to stand up to the billionaires who are rigging our economy against us!” He also pledged to return to 26 Federal Plaza the next morning to continue fighting ICE operations.

Lander has a history of aggressive anti-ICE activism. He has previously been arrested at 26 Federal Plaza during protests against ICE detention practices and is frequently seen court-watching at immigration hearings.

Valdez, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, defeated Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso in a primary to replace retiring Rep. Nydia Velázquez.

Chevalier, who is also a DSA member, defeated incumbent Rep. Adriano Espaillat. She was recruited to run by Justice Democrats, the group that backed Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and has been described as “like AOC, but to the left.”

She pushes affordable housing, abolishing ICE, and universal healthcare. She previously called the American flag “violent excrement.”

Mamdani has not issued a public response to Trump’s specific “3 solid Communists” comment as of the latest reports.
