Multiple people were injured in a shooting at the Bite of Seattle food festival at the Seattle Center in Washington state on Sunday evening.

The number of people wounded is unclear, and their conditions are not known at this time.

The shooter is at large.

“The Bite of Seattle is the city’s annual food festival, celebrating 40 years of community, culture, and cuisine this year,” the Seattle Center says on its website.

“The event, hosted at the Seattle Center, features over 300+ vendors, beer and wine gardens, cider tastings, local artisans, and over 65+ musical performers,” the Seattle Center said.

“Locals, tourists, and people from all walks of life come out for three days of festivities featuring the best of Seattle’s culinary creations, entertainment, live cooking demonstrations, activities for kids, and much more,” they said.

In almost all of the world, in multi-religious societies, we all know who is getting threatened by who.

Just look at Nigeria, for instance. If you’re a Christian, or even a secularist, you know full well who is threatening you, and it’s generally people of one certain faith.

But in America, if you’re significantly shielded enough — at least if you’re not one of the people in one of two twin towers some 25 years ago — you can believe that the real threat is from Christians.

In that vein, meet Sarah Trone Garriott. She’s a member of the Iowa Senate who’s running as the Democratic nominee in the state’s 3rd Congressional District.

She’s also, like another prominent Democrat we see trying to flip a congressional seat, a nominal Christian figure. Instead of “Presbyterian seminarian,” however, this time she’s a Lutheran minister.

It’s something the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee touted when they started spending money on her campaign to oust Rep. Zach Nunn, a Republican.

“Sarah Trone Garriott has spent her life showing up for her community, and now she’s running for Congress to continue that service: standing up to protect health care, get costs down, and always do what’s right for Iowa,” DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene said back in February, according to the Des Moines Register.

“A mom and a minister, Sarah is in this fight for Iowa families like her own, and she will win this race and work to make life more affordable for the hardworking families Zach Nunn has forgotten.”

Ah, yes, a minister. Who’s, um, afraid of Christians, as one unearthed clip demonstrates.

“We have seen some uncomfortable ways that faith and political power have collided,” Trone Garriott said at a 2023 event before the Iowa United Methodist Church Board of Laity.

“Um, you know, seeing the flag and the cross conflated. We have seen religious actors supporting specific political candidates, even when those candidates might not seem to match the values of that professed religious faith, there is this very strong allegiance to specific candidates,” she continued.

Yeah, gosh, wonder who she might be talking about. Anyway, I can’t imagine how Christians wouldn’t support the party of abortion on demand and “gender-affirming care” for children simply because they get a minister to run.

“That confuses us, and makes us wonder what on earth is going on,” she continued. “And we have seen religion and political violence showing up more and more in our public spaces.”

“It’s something that is just very in our faces and something that we are very concerned about, and something that feels very threatening.”

And this is an ongoing problem. In Nigeria, for example, thousands of Christians are killed every year and tens of thousands have been slaughtered in total by Islamic populations and terror organizations. The country, Global Christian Relief noted, “has emerged as a global epicenter for the martyrdom of Christians.”

If she thinks she’s protected because she’s in the First World, she should reconsider, particularly if she’s going to tell a joke. For instance, here’s British comedian Jimmy Carr succinctly explaining why he can make fun of Christians — and, indeed, other faiths — but not one particular faith:

But yes, please: Do tell us how you’re “threatened” by your own fellow Christians. Or at the very least, don’t call yourself a “minister.”

You may have the credentials, Sarah Trone Garriott, but you’re in another world of delusion and deception, one that is decidedly anti-Christian. You can’t fathom how sheltered you are by our bedrock values, and it shows.

Acting DNI Bill Pulte on Sunday evening announced that he fired more Deep State intel officials.

This is Pulte’s fourth round of firings.

“Since becoming Acting Director of National Intelligence, our team has been smartly, and carefully, reducing the size of ODNI, re-focusing ODNI on national security, the law, and the statute,” Pulte said.

Last month Bill Pulte fired over 50 career Deep State intel officials so far.

“The Deep State firings have begun,” a source told CNN last month.

CBS News previously reported that Pulte fired six political intelligence staffers and sent 45 others to their home agencies.

CNN reported that Pulte fired six political appointees chosen by Tulsi Gabbard.

“Today, I spent time with the National Counterterrorism Center team, who is doing an incredible job protecting our Country under President Trump’s leadership. The room was filled with true professionals and American patriots. It is a privilege to work beside them,” Pulte said last month.

MS NOW reported that Pulte fired more Deep State Intel officials earlier this month.

President Trump previously announced his nomination of US Attorney for the Southern District of New York Jay Clayton to serve as Director of National Intelligence.

However, Trump postponed Clayton’s confirmation until the Senators confirm his replacement for US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

The delay in Clayton’s confirmation has allowed Pulte to carry out the mass firings.

Because things do not appear to be okay at the Walt Disney Company.

This week brought with it the news that Disney had commenced its third round of layoffs in as many years — and with still months left to go in 2026.

A Disney representative confirmed with The Wrap that the company was laying off swathes of employees across a number of prominent divisions.

This latest round of Disney layoffs include corporate jobs, roles at ESPN and National Geographic, and multiple positions across the company’s film and television divisions.

But The Wrap noted that it’s actually one of Disney’s most venerable — and recently successful — studios that’s being hit hardest.

The most significant layoffs that occurred during this round happened at Pixar Studios, the studio mastermind behind hit films such as “Toy Story” and “Up.”

Pixar suffered 116 layoffs, despite having just recently released the critically and commercially successful “Toy Story 5.”

(Of note, “Toy Story 5” focused on a straightforward tale about the dangers of excessive screen time, abandoning some of the more controversial elements that have hindered some of their other recent releases.)

“These changes are part of our continual evaluation of how we manage resources and reinvest across the company as our industry continues to evolve,” the Disney representative told The Wrap.

The New York Post described this latest round of layoffs as a “fresh bloodbath,” noting that this has become something of an increasingly common Disney tradition.

In April, Disney had already made sweeping cuts. Before that, there were significant layoffs in 2024 and 2023.

(2023 included some global cuts, as well.)

The Wrap reported that “Toy Story 5” had already cleared $957 million at the global box office — and is well positioned to cross that vaunted billion-dollar mark.

Disney did insist that this latest round of layoffs has more to do with the changing media landscape than poor box office performances.

And despite just losing another 100-plus employees, Pixar still has plenty of work to do at the box office, and they’ll have two big chances to satisfy their Disney bosses in the near future.

Pixar has announced an original feature, “Gatto,” as well as a sequel to the highly-beloved superhero franchise, “Incredibles 3.”

President Donald J. Trump announced that the Kingdom of Morocco is naming a major new expressway in his honor: the President Donald J. Trump Highway.

Trump shared his gratitude on Truth Social, thanking King Mohammed VI and expressing excitement about one day traveling the full length of the impressive infrastructure project.

“Thank you to Highly Respected Mohammed VI, the King of Morocco — Such a Great Honor! I look forward to traveling the entire length of this Great Highway someday, hopefully soon!”

The President Donald J. Trump Highway refers to the ambitious Tiznit-Dakhla Expressway, stretching approximately 1,055 kilometers (more than 655 miles) along Morocco’s Atlantic coast. The route connects northern regions to key southern provinces, including Laayoune and Dakhla in the Moroccan Sahara, strengthening economic development, trade, and regional connectivity.

The multibillion-dollar infrastructure project is widely viewed as a strategic investment designed to expand commerce, improve transportation, and link Atlantic Morocco with emerging economic opportunities across the Sahel.

Moroccan and international reports describe the highway as more than a transportation corridor—a “road of peace and prosperity” intended to stimulate growth in historically underserved southern territories. Promotional videos released in conjunction with the announcement showcase sweeping desert landscapes, modern engineering, and the flags of both Morocco and the United States.

The announcement also underscores the enduring relationship between the United States and Morocco, one of America’s oldest diplomatic partnerships. In 1777, Morocco became the first nation to recognize the independence of the United States.

During his first administration, President Trump strengthened that relationship by recognizing Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara, a decision that Rabat hailed as historic and that reinforced security cooperation, economic ties, and regional diplomacy within the broader framework of the Abraham Accords.

Spain, meanwhile, continues to navigate a more delicate position. Madrid officially supports a United Nations-led political process for Western Sahara while maintaining complex diplomatic, economic, and security ties with neighboring Morocco. In recent years, Spain has backed Morocco’s autonomy initiative as the “most serious, realistic and credible” basis for resolving the dispute, seeking to preserve stability and cooperation on migration, trade, and counterterrorism despite domestic political debate over the issue. This has been the position of Spain’s president Sanchez against the will of the majority of Spaniards. There rae reports that the residents has private communications intercepted by Morocco and he is been subject to extorsion.

In any event, Morocco’s decision to honor President Trump reflects the kingdom’s appreciation for his support of its territorial position and the close strategic partnership developed during his presidency.

As Trump noted in his message, the designation represents a “Great Honor” bestowed by a “Highly Respected” ally—highlighting a relationship that both nations continue to describe as one of longstanding friendship and mutual strategic importance.
