A far-left Democrat congressman made perhaps the congressional blunder of the month earlier this week while trying to attack Secretary of State Marco Rubio for his policy toward Communist Cuba.

As Fox News reported, Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI) got into a spat with U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz during a committee hearing on Wednesday regarding a report the State Department released earlier this week concerning the island.

The report details a decades-long influence campaign the Cuban government has pushed within the United States to sow division and promote Marxist ideas.

“From its earliest years in power, the Cuban regime has believed that its own survival and strategic interests were inextricably linked to the advance of the revolutionary left inside the United States,” the report notes.

Pocan visited Cuba earlier in July, where he demanded that the Trump administration stop its pressure campaign against the Marxist regime. He also blamed U.S. sanctions for the island’s economic misery.

Pocna predictably bashed Rubio’s report as well, calling it a pretext for overthrowing the island’s government.

When Waltz decided to call Pocan out during the hearing for being a useful idiot for the Cuban regime, Pocan responded by shockingly claiming that Rubio’s opinion and policy toward Cuba hold no water because he has never been to the island.

Except there is one problem, as Waltz pointed out: Rubio’s entire family is from Cuba. They perfectly understand the devastation communism has wrought on what was once a fairly prosperous country.

Such a truism has been instilled in Rubio throughout his life and helps make him a perfect expert on Cuba and the Castro regime, unlike Pocan, who just happened to go on a little vacation.

I don’t need your advice on Cuba. Are we going to have a military action against Cuba? Because it seems that’s what this report is setting up.

WALTZ: I am not going to take military options off the table for the president of the United States, but I would hope you would not allow your visits to be used for Cuban regime propaganda…

POCAN: Yeah but… Marco Rubio has never been to Cuba, so many others who have strong opinions.

WALTZ: His entire family is from Cuba.

POCAN: They left before the revolution! That is decades ago.

That’s a ridiculous answer.

As the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks that murdered nearly 3,000 people looms, families of some of the victims want radical Muslim NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani to stay away from the Ground Zero ceremony, calling him ‘an apologist for Islamic terror’ and adding it would be an insult to the memories of those who died.

Giovanni Galante’s 29-year-old wife, Grace Catherine Galante, was among those murdered by al-Qaeda terrorists.

Galante’s petition drive to bar Mamdani from events has already received 1350 signatures from at least 300 victims’ families.

The petition notes,“This anniversary is one of remembrance grounded in shared American values: respect for the victims, recognition of the gravity of the attacks, and a clear rejection of the ideologies that contributed to such violence.”

“For many families and community members, participation in these ceremonies carries an implicit expectation that those present uphold and affirm these principles without ambiguity.”

The petition then shared concerns about Mamdani’s inclusion in the events due to his “public positions, associations, and responses to rhetoric that many perceive as hostile to these shared values.”

These include:

• A perceived reluctance to clearly and unequivocally condemn phrases such as “globalize the intifada,” which many interpret as endorsing or normalizing violence.
• Support for, or associations with, individuals whose public statements or records are viewed by concerned family members as dismissive of American institutions or insufficiently critical of extremist ideologies.
• Mr. Mamdani’s own father, whom he has acknowledged as having shaped his views, penned a book shortly after 9/11 in which he argued that suicide bombers should be “understood as a feature of modern political violence rather than stigmatized as a mark of barbarism.” He also argued that there was a moral equivalence between the United States and al-Qaeda.
• Mr. Mamdani has praised Brooklyn Imam Siraj Wahhaj, who has been linked to radical Islam, was named as an alleged co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, and served as a character witness for the “Blind Sheikh,” who was convicted in 1995 of plotting terror attacks against the United States.
• Mr. Mamdani has blamed the United States for radicalizing Anwar al-Awlaki, an al-Qaeda propagandist linked to the 9/11 hijackers. Critics have likened this to blaming victims rather than perpetrators.
• Mr. Mamdani appointed Ramzi Kassem, who previously represented Ahmed al-Darbi (convicted in an al-Qaeda tanker bombing plot), as New York City’s chief counsel.
• Mr. Mamdani has endorsed candidates such as Aber Kawas, who described 9/11 as an attack “a couple of people did in the context of U.S. capitalism, racism, white supremacy, and Islamophobia,” and who also expressed sympathy for Ahmed Ferhani, who pleaded guilty to plotting to blow up a Manhattan synagogue.
• Mr. Mamdani recently stood with DSA primary winner Darializa Aria Chevalier, who once tweeted, “I forgot to get napkins so I just wiped my hand on the American flag behind me.”

The petition concludes, “For 9/11 families, this is not simply a public ceremony—it is a deeply personal day of mourning. The presence of individuals whose words or associations are perceived as conflicting with the solemn purpose of the event risks detracting from that focus and causing additional pain.”

“Given these concerns, we respectfully ask that the organizers carefully consider whether Mr. Mamdani’s participation would align with the intention of the ceremony and the expectations of the families most directly affected by the tragedy.”

“The 25th anniversary should remain centered on remembrance, unity, and an unambiguous rejection of the violence and extremism that defined that day. Ensuring that all participants reflect these principles is essential to preserving the integrity of the commemoration.”

As Mayor-elect, Mamdani announced the appointment of Ramzi Kassem as the city’s top attorney.

Kassem gained notoriety for defending al-Qaeda terrorist Ahmed al-Darbi when he served as lead counsel.

In 2014, al-Darbi pled guilty in connection with an al-Qaeda terrorist plot to bomb a French oil tanker near Yemen in 2002, leaving a civilian dead and several others injured. He was convicted in 2017 and ultimately transferred to Saudi Arabia in 2018.

Al-Darbi’s brother-in-law was Khalid al-Mihdhar, one of the five hijackers on American Airlines Flight 77, which crashed into the Pentagon during the September 11, 2001 attacks.

During his campaign, he peddled a dubious story during remarks in front of an Islamic center in the Bronx and claimed his hijab-wearing aunt was on the receiving end of Islamophobic abuse after the 9/11 terror attacks.

“I want to speak to the memory of my aunt, who stopped taking the subway after September 11th because she did not feel safe in her hijab,” Mamdani said, fighting through fake tears as he delivered remarks in front of the Islamic Cultural Center in the Bronx last Friday.

It turns out Mamdani’s aunt didn’t even live in the US on 9/11 – and she doesn’t even wear a hijab.

He then changed the ‘victim’ in the story to be a mysterious ‘distant cousin.’

During a recent broadcast, MSNOW pushed the Democrat narrative that Trump is going to try to steal the 2026 midterms, and explained that Senate Democrats are taking the threat so seriously that they’re actually wargaming various scenarios over it.

Minutes later, the same host talks to another guest and the two of them completely dismiss the very real voter fraud that was recently uncovered in New Jersey, where it was discovered that as many as 4,000 illegal immigrants were registered to vote and that hundreds of them had voted.

This is an example of something that could only happen on MSNOW.

The segment opened with correspondent Ali Vitali interviewing House Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on his “doomsday plans” for if Trump made a move against free elections. Vitali summarized Schumer’s concerns:

Schumer feels there is enough information to go off of from the president’s own statements, not just in recent weeks, but in recent years, casting doubt on elections that Republicans lose. To Schumer’s mind, it says that Democrats have not just an edge going into the midterms, but that they need to be able to have some reflexes to draw upon if there are attempts to sow disinformation or send federal troops to polling places. Those are just some of the fears that he has.

Minutes later, they dismiss real voter fraud as nothing.

LEMIRE: -that a few hundred voters were noncitizens, were mistakenly added to the voting rolls, and some did. And it was a mix of Republican and independents-

HEILEMANN: And statistically insignificant. Like not to diminish it and defend it, if anything it breaks the law, and we should be serious and vigilant about making sure that there’s no voter fraud. But-

LEMIRE: It was a mistake.

HEILEMANN: -400 votes were cast in, you know, against, against- given the raw vote totals, it’s a statistically insignificant number. And that’s been the case, we’ve seen voter fraud in the history of America, but just not on a scale that’s ever been enough to tip an election.

Rahm Emanuel, who has served as the mayor of Chicago and Obama’s chief of staff, is worried that the far left faction of his party is going to blow it for them in the 2026 midterm elections.

He has a valid point.

Historically, the party in power loses seats during midterms. It would not be a surprise if the Democrats retook control of the House, for instance. But the DSA folks are spooking average Americans by talking about emptying the prisons and defunding police, as well as other crazy ideas like abolishing the Senate and the presidency.

Rahm Emanuel warns ‘Bernie bros’ could sink Democrats by saddling moderates with socialist agenda

Former Obama White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel warned Thursday that “Bernie bros” and democratic socialist candidates could hurt the Democratic Party in November’s midterm elections by forcing moderates in competitive districts to answer for unpopular progressive positions.

Emanuel wrote in a Wall Street Journal opinion column that Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) candidates could divert attention from the issue he believes Democrats should make central in the campaign.

“In the name of ‘authenticity,’ the DSA and others are saddling the Democratic Party with nominees whose wildly unpopular positions will protect Republicans from having to pay the price of Donald Trump’s corruption and economic incompetence,” Emanuel said.

He compared the current political environment with 2006, when he led the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) as the party gained 31 House seats. He said Democrats succeeded by recruiting candidates who eased voters’ concerns that the party was culturally out of touch and weak on national defense…

“When the DSA attempts to turn safe Democratic states and districts a darker shade of blue, Democratic candidates in swing districts are put at a distinct disadvantage,” Emanuel said.

The far-left judge at the center of the alarming verdict in the Shiloh Hendrix case is going viral, and much has come about her judicial past. And it is not pretty.

As The Gateway Pundit’s Cassandra MacDonald reported, a Minnesota jury on Thursday night delivered a split verdict in the disorderly conduct trial of Shiloh Hendrix.

The jury found the 37-year-old mother not guilty on the count related to her words directed at the eight-year-old Somali boy who was stealing from her, but guilty on the count stemming from her comments to the man who filmed and confronted her at a Rochester playground.

Last April, Hendrix was at the park with her toddler when the boy reached into her diaper bag and took an applesauce pouch. She confronted the child and allegedly used the N-word.

A Somali man named Sharmake Beyle Omar, who was not the child’s father, began recording the scene, became extremely confrontational with Hendrix as she was holding her toddler, and continued filming as he demanded and provoked her to repeat the slur.

Following the verdict, Judge Christa M. Daily sentenced Hendrix to a $1,000 fine, 200 hours of community service, supervised probation, and a stayed 90-day jail term.

While racism is horrible and no one should condone racial slurs, punishing someone for uncouth speech is precisely what our Founders fought against. Yet, Hendrix will pay a legal price unless the sentence is overturned.

This outrageous travesty of justice becomes even more glaring when one learns of Judge Daily’s past cases.

Back in January 2023, Daily sentenced a pervert named Thomas Lee Meyer to NO JAIL TIME even though he was convicted of four felony charges of possessing pornographic work.

The victims were reportedly 6 to 8 years old.

Back in August 2024, a 22-year-old Mississippi man named Trashun Haywood was convicted of first and second-degree assault and sentenced to 5 years in prison.

Haywood had repeatedly stabbed a 26-year-old Rochester man with a pocket knife after the two men got into an argument at an apartment complex in northwest Rochester on Christmas Eve of 2021.

The victim suffered stab wounds to his neck, abdomen, and arm. The injuries were so severe that medical personnel at the St. Mary’s Hospital Emergency Department had to perform “life-saving measures.”

But Daily decided to waive 4-1/2 years of the sentence. She said she did so because Haywood eventually admitted to the stabbing and expressed remorse.
