The Department of Education Already Has the Power to Stop the School Psychology Pipeline

The Department of Education’s demand that California and Washington explain their secrecy policies as they relate to behavioral health data collection illustrates the federal government doesn’t understand what tools it has to impact the changes needed to save the public education system.

Current laws on the books already provide the necessary tools: The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects education records, The Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) and the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA) requires informed parental consent for evaluations and also limits intrusive surveys and sensitive information gathering.

That legal framework points to a larger truth: federal protections can close the pipeline that turns children into data points, diagnoses, and referrals to dangerous, profit-driven behavioral health providers operating behind a shield of institutional immunity. Why beg for data from the States when the ultimate power comes from enforcing current laws?

Schools were never meant to function as psychological sorting centers. They were meant to educate children, not to funnel them into opaque systems where parents are sidelined, records are hidden, and families are pressured to accept labels, surveillance, and interventions never discussed or chosen.

The federal government does not need new permission to correct a broken educational system. FERPA already limits disclosure of student records. IDEA already requires informed consent before key evaluations. PPRA already restricts sensitive information gathering. The problem is not the absence of legal authority. The problem is the refusal to use the authority or the basic knowledge of that authority.

That is exactly why the National Defense Education Act of 1958 (NDEA) matters. The purpose of the legislation was to strengthen the nation through stronger education in the fields that build capacity, competence, and security. That principle still applies today. Federal education money should support reading, writing, math, science, and practical instructional tools, not expand a behavioral-health bureaucracy that weakens family authority and replaces education with diagnosis.

A child medicated into compliance is not being prepared for independence, resilience, or national service. A country that tolerates secrecy, coercion, and overdiagnosis in its schools does not build strength. It is building dependence. And dependence is the opposite of a defense-ready nation.

The answer is not more silence from Washington or begging for secret behavioral health curriculum developed by the psychiatric industry and drug companies. The answer is enforcement. Enforce informed consent. Enforce parent access. Enforce disclosure limits. Redirect federal education dollars away from mental-health pipelines and toward real educational tools grounded in science.

The Department of Education should deliver parents an avenue to obtain a receipted avenue to process violations of these laws.  In addition, the Department of Education must break up the monopoly of the behavioral health industry and drug companies within the educational system. The laws are already on the books and need to be used now.

“I Did Him Wrong”: Stephen A. Smith Issues Stunning Public Apology to NBA Star Kyrie Irving

ESPN’s highest-paid sports commentator in history has decided it’s finally time to own his mistakes and apologize to Kyrie Irving — who took a public flogging and an $11,400,000 pay cut during the 2021–22 NBA season for refusing to bend to New York’s COVID vaccine mandate.

At the time, Smith blasted Irving as “selfish” for a refusal that left him ineligible to play in any home game for the Brooklyn Nets.

However, last night, Smith put his vacation on hold to issue the apology after watching Anthony Fauci’s oversight testimony — where Fauci pleaded the Fifth 111 times in total, a performance that even made Smith’s friend Chris Cuomo admit it looks like Fauci is “hiding something.”

That’s when Smith realized it’s a “time for reflection” and to “look at things differently.”

“There’s several people that we all owe apologies to… but none more so than the apology that I owe to Kyrie Irving,” Smith opened up.

“This is not about him, the basketball player. This is about him, the man.”

“The reality is Kyrie Irving, no matter what we think, may have been MORE RIGHT than we have given him credit for and unquestionably was more vilified than he deserved.”

“I watched Dr. Fauci on Capitol Hill yesterday, and the person I thought about most was Kyrie Irving,” Smith continued.

“Kyrie Irving stood out in my mind because of the heat that he was taking… He refused the vaccine. New York City’s mandate made him ineligible for home games, and he linked his stance to people losing jobs over vaccine mandates.”

“In my opinion, particularly hindsight-wise, it didn’t make him stubborn or selfish. It made him brave. His willingness to stand up and say, ‘Nah, I’m not doing that.’”

“It’s just a time for reflection — to look at things differently.”

Smith concluded his apology with one final statement that summarizes the Kyrie Irving vaccine mandate saga perfectly:

“It turns out that, no matter what the truth is behind all of this, Kyrie Irving did nobody wrong. We did him wrong.”

“I did him wrong. And for that, I’m sincerely sorry.”

Kyrie gave up $11,400,000 in game checks during the 21-22 NBA season and a $100,000,000 extension with the Nets to be unvaccinated.

That cements his holdout as the largest financial sacrifice any athlete has ever made over an issue in history.

WNBA Headache Gets Bigger: More Sophie Cunningham Rallies Scheduled

WNBA Headache Gets Bigger: More Sophie Cunningham Rallies Scheduled
July 31, 2026

It appears the WNBA’s current migraine may only get worse.

Indiana Fever sharpshooter Sophie Cunningham sparked a firestorm of controversy when she recently spoke to ESPN and explained that she opposed self-proclaimed transgender athletes intruding on women’s sports.

“I got a lot of negative feedback about me hating trans. And I’m like, ‘I never once said that,’” Cunningham told ESPN. “I think that I am here to extend love. But I also think with that love is truth, being honest.

“And I want to protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn’t have to go against biological men.”

Cunningham would only double down on “common sense” when she began getting pressed by the media to either defend or revise her remarks.

“I said what I said,” Cunningham told the media. “I think it’s kind of common sense.”

Many supporters of girls’ sports appreciated a prominent female professional athlete sticking up for much younger female athletes who don’t have the same platform.

That led to a pro-Cunningham rally in Seattle — leading the progressive co-owner of the Seattle Storm to chew out young fans who had shown up to support Cunningham.

(There were also some anti-Cunningham counter-protests.)

Well, that behavior forced the WNBA to suspend minority co-owner Celeste Keaton for five home games and fine her an undisclosed amount — an ugly incident for any sports league, let alone one that’s still trying to find consistent footing in North American sports culture.

Taken in totality, this is an ordeal from which the WNBA would like to move on swiftly, but doing so may not be so easy.

According to Fox News’ OutKick, two more rallies have been planned in support of Cunningham, and both are unabashedly pro-girls’ sports.

The first rally is scheduled for Friday afternoon in Portland, Oregon, ahead of the Fever’s game with the Portland Fire.

There will then be another rally on Sunday, ahead of a matinee game with the Minnesota Lynx, and will be held in Minneapolis.

Interestingly enough, both of those rallies are being planned in two of the more progressive cities in America, Portland and Minneapolis.

And if there’s any question of how Cunningham feels about this conversation — and Keaton — the Fever guard made things perfectly clear on social media:

“I truly believe there is a safe space and love for EVERYBODY,” Cunningham posted Thursday. “Biological girls, biological boys, trans women, and trans men. Everyone is welcome at my table! You can disagree and still be kind.”

“Bravo to those girls for standing up for what they believe. You’ll be hearing from me soon.”

She added: “Truly embarrassing of the co-owner. Unfortunately shows the type of leader she is.”

President Trump and his cabinet will meet today at Camp David for the first time in the President’s second term as the fighting in the Iran war continues.

Trump last traveled to Camp David in June after signing the Memorandum of Understanding to de-escalate tensions and establish a framework for a final deal with Iran. The memorandum has since collapsed.

The US resumed strikes on Iran this week after nearly two weeks of nightly attacks earlier this month. Trump called off the attacks to continue negotiations last Friday.

However, Iran launched what the US military called a “surprise attack” on US forces in the Middle East on Tuesday.

Trump said on Wednesday, “We’re going to beat the f*cking sh*t out of them,” following the attempted missile strikes on a US base. US forces launched attacks in Iran on Tuesday and Wednesday, but there were no reported strikes on Thursday.

US Central Command released footage of Wednesday night’s strikes after the roughly two-hour-long mission concluded.

WATCH:

Trump scrapped previously a trip to Camp David with the cabinet in May, citing “bad weather conditions.”

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 11 am ET.
