Leftist comedian and HBO host Bill Maher just delivered a massive warning shot to the Democrat Party.

Appearing on ABC’s This Week on Sunday, Maher flatly admitted his presidential vote in 2028 is “in play” and that he could vote for Vice President JD Vance if Democrats continue their hard lurch into actual communism.

During a conversation with Jonathan Karl, Maher admitted that the modern Democratic Party has aligned itself so closely with the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) that he can no longer ignore the writing on the wall.

Jonathan Karl: You told J.D. Vance you’re open, your vote is up for grabs.

Bill Maher: Yes, my vote is in play because it can’t be Trump running. So I’m not living in communist America. I mean, I know that the talking point is that it’s not communism, it’s socialism.

Okay, I’ve read the quotes from the DSA platform, from their own mouths. Don’t tell me I’m not seeing what I am seeing. And DSA, again, they, they say things like, you know, takeover of key industries, government. That’s communism. You know, there is a definition.

Jonathan Karl: By the way, Trump’s doing that, too.

Bill Maher: Of course. Yes.

Jonathan Karl: And to a degree that we haven’t seen any other president. No, not a Republican.

Bill Maher: That’s crazy, too.

Jonathan Karl: He’s got a piece of Intel, right? A piece of the AI companies.

Bill Maher: He treats everything like it’s a real estate deal or, or I don’t know, he’s an agent or something. He always wants 10 or 15 percent.

Jonathan Karl: So you want to see Democrats win in the midterms?

Bill Maher: Absolutely. And they will, because it will still be a referendum on Trump. So I think the Democrats will do very well in the midterms. 2028 is a different story because by then this wing of the party, this new wing with all the energy— and it’s not just a few people anymore. I read every day, I read about a new person in some Colorado and Wisconsin, somebody who is saying some variation of not defund the police, abolish the police. No prisons, no police. Like, what world do they think we could possibly live in under these conditions? It’s just a level of nutty that I’m so glad that whenever it was, I was like, no, I’m not going along because this is where it ends.

Jonathan Karl: Could you see yourself voting for J.D. Vance?

Bill Maher: Yes. If this is the, the Democratic side, yes.

Jonathan Karl: Now, you, you have interviewed several of the possible Democratic candidates for 2028. How do you assess? Who do you like?

Bill Maher: Oh, I’m not going to ruin future guests by telling you that, John. How ridiculous. They’re all great.

This tracks perfectly with what Maher told Vance himself on Real Time back in June. The lifelong liberal told the Vice President straight up that if the Democrats continue down the path of Democratic Socialists, anti-capitalism, Jew-hatred, and “no prisons,” his vote is in play.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, co-chair of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), Gustavo Gordillo, went on national television and openly defended the DSA’s radical platform while demonstrating a shocking ignorance of basic American government.

He called the United States Senate an “undemocratic institution” because it gives equal representation to smaller states and large ones, revealing he does not even understand the fundamental difference between the Senate and the House of Representatives.

The DSA’s official “Workers Deserve More” platform, which The Gateway Pundit has extensively documented, calls for:

• Eliminate the U.S. Senate.
• Replace the President with an executive chosen by Congress.
• Replace the Supreme Court with a judiciary subordinate to Congress.
• Grant universal amnesty to all illegal aliens.
• Defund the Department of Defense (which the platform refers to as the “Department of War”).
• Close overseas U.S. military bases.
• End American economic sanctions against foreign adversaries.
• Abolish what it calls the “carceral forces of the capitalist state,” including sweeping police and prison reforms.

If implemented, these proposals would fundamentally transform the American system of government by eliminating the constitutional separation of powers established by the Founding Fathers.

The DSA has become increasingly influential inside Democrat politics, with many of its members and allies winning elected office at the local, state, and federal levels.

President Donald Trump dropped a major bombshell on Truth Social Sunday night, revealing that the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) has been caught publishing fraudulent, biased, and misleading “scientific” manuals on climate change that federal judges relied upon to greenlight massive climate cases.

For years, everyday Americans have been forced to sit back and watch as radical left-wing activists, rogue activist judges, and entrenched bureaucrats used junk science to destroy energy independence, cripple domestic manufacturing, and force the fraudulent “Green New Scam” down our throats.

These bogus manuals, Trump announced, have created huge losses across our country. He is now ordering Federal Suspension and Debarment Officials to review the conduct. Taxpayers will no longer fund this climate fraud, and judges will no longer be allowed to treat political propaganda as science.

Trump wrote:

The National Academy of Sciences has long served as an adviser to the federal government on scientific matters, with its reports frequently cited in policymaking and litigation.

According to Reuters, the manuals in question are part of the Reference Manual on Scientific Evidence (Fourth Edition), a joint product of the Federal Judicial Center and the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM).

The latest edition included a highly politicized climate science chapter written by authors tied to climate litigation outfits, including Columbia University’s Sabin Center for Climate Change Law, the same network that has spent years pushing activist lawsuits against energy producers and states.

Earlier this year, a coalition of Republican state attorneys general, led by Montana’s Austin Knudsen and including nearly 30 red-state AGs, blasted the chapter as biased, riddled with conflicts of interest, and designed to tip the scales in climate litigation. The authors had deep ties to advocacy and active lawsuits.

Under pressure, the Federal Judicial Center withdrew the climate chapter from its version of the manual in February. NASEM, however, kept the material available online and refused demands to fully pull it.

A 29-year-old Turkish migrant living in Germany refused to sit next to a woman on a flight because of Sharia law, then punched or slapped the female flight attendant who dared to confront him.

According to BILD, the suspect was arrested after the June 1 flight landed in Düsseldorf.

Police say witnesses told investigators the man refused to remain in his assigned seat because it was next to a woman, claiming his actions were based on Sharia law.

When a female flight attendant approached him in an effort to defuse the situation, the passenger allegedly punched or slapped her in the face, according to police.

German Federal Police took the suspect into custody immediately after the aircraft landed. Authorities say he later admitted to assaulting the flight attendant during questioning.

The incident reportedly escalated further during police questioning when the suspect allegedly insulted officers in Turkish, apparently unaware that one of the federal officers understood the language. He now faces charges related to both the alleged assault and insulting law enforcement officers.

Sharia law has zero legal standing in Germany. Yet this migrant felt entitled to impose it mid-flight and then attack a woman who wouldn’t accommodate his demands.

Initial reports incorrectly identified the aircraft as belonging to Turkish Airlines. The airline later clarified that the incident did not occur on one of its flights, according to the New York Post.

Nine people were injured early Sunday morning in an overnight shooting outside the Reign Event Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

The nine victims ranged in age between 18 and 27. Two men, 20 and 21, were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but are expected to survive.

No arrests have been made as of Sunday evening as the investigation remains ongoing.

Minneapolis Police Chief Bill Peterson said during a press conference that the investigation “remains in its early stages, and we are committed to identifying every single person responsible.”

Reporting suggests there was a confrontation outside the venue, but police don’t yet know whether it was a drive-by or the suspect was on foot, nor whether there were multiple shooters.

Police from all five Minneapolis precincts responded to the scene shortly before 12:30 a.m.

Lettuce grown in central Mexico that was used by multiple Taco Bell locations has been identified as the source of a Cyclospora outbreak that has sickened Americans across the country.

A recall of the lettuce was announced by Taylor Farms, which posted a notice on the website of the Food and Drug Administration.

“The company has stopped receiving product from the implicated lot, suspended distribution of the iceberg lettuce from Central Mexico, notified our customers, and we are continuing to work with the FDA, CDC, and state authorities,” Taylor Farms wrote in its notice.

The FDA notice listed the multiple brand names under which the affected lettuce is being recalled.

The notice indicated that products being recalled were sold in 27 states — Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

The products had “best if used by dates” from July 16 through Aug. 3.

The Washington Post reported that on Friday, federal investigators said that one supplier of iceberg lettuce from Mexico shipped lettuce to Taco Bell restaurants in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia.

Taco Bell Corp. said Friday it had removed all impacted Taylor Farms lettuce from its restaurants.

The FDA noted that 1,644 people infected with Cyclospora said they had eaten at a Taco Bell in those five states.

Other companies were also taking precautions. Sysco, a major food supplier, has stopped distributing any Taylor Farms processed iceberg from Mexico, The Washington Post reported.

“We will continue to actively monitor the situation and work with regulators as needed,” a Sysco representative said.

“Food safety is a critical priority for Sysco, and we have robust food safety and quality assurance processes to help ensure the safety and quality of all the products we sell.”

Cyclospora contamination comes from human feces, according to Matthew Moore, a food scientist at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

He suggested tainted irrigation water used on crops could be linked to the outbreak.

“The fact that human fecal material is finding its way into the food is definitely striking,” he told The Washington Post. “There’s so much lettuce in this country.”
