An alleged illegal alien drunk driver crashed into DOJ Pardon Attorney Ed Martin on Friday night.

According to Ed Martin, two drunk Hispanic non-Americans were in the vehicle at the time of the crash, and they both fled on foot.

The car was registered to an unknown person.

Ed Martin appears to be uninjured.

“Just got rear ended at a red light. Car driven by 2 Hispanic non Americans. Beer bottles all over the floor of the car,” Ed Martin said on Friday evening.

“The 2 fled the scene on foot – 1 was so drunk that he came back to get his stuff from the smoking car. No insurance. Car registered to some unknown. Lawless in USA,” Ed Martin said.

Ed Martin is currently serving as the US Pardon Attorney in the Trump Justice Department.

“Edward R. Martin Jr. was appointed the U.S. Pardon Attorney on May 14, 2025. He was also named by President Donald J. Trump to serve as the Director of the Weaponization Working Group for the Department of Justice. He previously served as the Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia where he led the office responsible for prosecuting local and federal cases in the nation’s capital,” the DOJ said.

“Martin, a New Jersey native, is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, where he completed an Indonesian Studies program while studying abroad in Indonesia, the Pontifical Gregorian University, where he interned on the personal senior staff of Pope John Paul, II and Saint Louis University, where he received his J.D.,” the DOJ said.

The brilliant socialist minds in Los Angeles have shown the country once again just how great they really are.

For the small price of $60,000,000 they managed to nearly end homelessness by housing a whopping three units.

The Gateway Pundit reported,

Nithya Raman, the Democratic Socialist (communist) running for mayor of Los Angeles, is also a member of the LA City Council, who chairs their special council on homelessness.

Last year, the city enacted a plan that was championed by Raman, which was intended to get homeless people off the streets and into apartments.

Despite carrying out the plan, which cost $60 million, only three units have been housed as a result.

Los Angeles residents can look forward to more of this kind of success in the future, no matter who wins the current race for mayor, Raman or incumbent Karen Bass.

The New York Post reports:

LA blew $60M on homeless ‘fix’ — it housed just three units

Just three out of a promised 2,000 apartments have been used to relocate the homeless in Nithya Raman’s failed $60 million project to get people off the streets.

Councilmember Raman, the chair of the Los Angeles City Council’s Housing and Homelessness Committee, introduced the Time Limited Subsidy program back in September as a cheaper alternative to Mayor Karen Bass’ Inside Safe Program — meant to get homeless people into an established residence.

Raman’s plan was to lease and move homeless people into 2,000 apartments and subsidize their rent, rather than pay for them to stay in motels or shelters.

However, nearly a year after that plan was launched — with $62.6 million in taxpayer funds behind it — only three apartments are occupied.

This must be what the left is talking about when they say that socialism works, it just hasn’t been done the “right” way yet.

Maybe if Los Angeles would just throw a little more taxpayer money in the trash they could finally solve their rampant homelessness problem.

Rep. Ilhan Omar posted a video on Facebook in which she dramatically claims that Minnesota liberals successfully “defeated” ICE’s efforts in the state.

The 10-second clip shows the Minnesota Democrat sitting down, adjusting her blazer, and taking a deep breath as if preparing for a serious documentary interview, complete with dramatic background music.

The video is her take on a social media trend that began on TikTok, where people pretend they are getting ready for a Netflix documentary interview on something interesting or strange that happened in their life.

A text overlay on Rep. Omar’s video begins, “Me preparing for the documentary on how we defeated ICE’s racist terror campaign in Minnesota.”

Her caption adds, “We’re built different in Minnesota,” along with a flexed arm emoji and a blue heart.

WATCH:

The video has been widely mocked across social media.

Late last year, the Trump administration launched Operation Metro Surge, deploying thousands of federal agents to Minnesota, particularly the Twin Cities area.

The operation resulted in more than 3,500 arrests of individuals in the country illegally.

Rioters organized and attempted to stop ICE enforcement, leading to the deaths of two anti-ICE agitators in separate incidents.

Many of those detained were later deported.

It has been described by federal officials as one of the largest immigration enforcement actions in the area’s history.

Bon Voyage: Alleged Spousal Abuser Dem Katie Porter Announces She’s Done With Politics After California Gubernatorial Disaster
July 18, 2026

To paraphrase another California gubernatorial loser, you won’t have Katie Porter to throw scalding potatoes on anymore.

Porter, the far-left firebrand who was considered a provisional favorite to be the Golden State’s next governor this time last year, announced she was leaving politics late Wednesday on her social media accounts, promising to rebrand her Instagram account to… apparently becoming a book influencer?

Sure, why not? Whatever keeps you away from abusing power and/or staffers.

“I’m done for now with politics and campaigning,” Porter said on her official Instagram account, now rebranded as @katieporterturnsthepage. (I see what you did there.)

“One thing that’s always been a constant from when I was a little kid to now is to love to read, and taking a lot of solace and heart and joy and pleasure in reading,” she said.

“So, I’m rebranding this account as ‘Katie Porter Turns the Page.’ It’s partly a reference to a new chapter in my life… but also to something I do a lot, which is turn the page when I’m reading.”

Notice that nobody got in her shot this time. They’ve learned!

When former Vice President Kamala Harris announced that she wasn’t running for California governor, the race became Porter’s to lose. I say that because you might not remember that she was the favorite, since she lost it with such aplomb that you almost thought she was trying.

The first sign of danger was an October interview with a local CBS affiliate where she threatened to walk out over what were normal questions posed to any candidate who wants to lead any state, much less the nation’s most populous.

That was funny, but the next issue she faced wasn’t: Shortly after that train wreck of an interview, media resurfaced old allegations from her 2013 divorce filings, back when she was a law professor and a California independent bank monitor. In those filings, her ex-husband alleged she abused him verbally and physically, going as far as throwing scalding hot mashed potatoes on him during one altercation.

Porter, a former U.S. representative and 2024 California senatorial candidate, was also unmasked as a terrible boss as well as a terrible spouse, a pattern which included another inimitable clip:

WARNING: The following video contains vulgar language that some viewers will find offensive.

Inexplicably, as her ship of fools began to sink in the polls, she decided this was the moment to make light of, cutting an ad where she says at the end, “Now, could you guys please get out of my shot?”

Ahahahaha malignantly abusive bosses, aren’t they a scream?

Anywho, this managed to somehow get worse when she got on a debate stage:

Realizing that she was not only poisonously far left but also potentially unelectable — especially given two Republicans hovering near the top of California’s jungle primary polls, which automatically advance the top two vote-getters to the November election regardless of party, potentially locking the Democrats out — the party establishment started lining up behind alternative candidates.

First was U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell, who shouldn’t have seemed reasonable to Democrats, but did (at least compared to Porter) until numerous allegations of sexual abuse surfaced. Incredibly, this still didn’t help her much, as that same establishment lined up behind former Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra, who rocketed to the top Democrat slot nearly overnight.

In the end, she finished fifth overall in the jungle primary, and third among Democrats. (In addition to Becerra, who advanced to the general election along with Republican Steve Hilton, crunchy tax-happy billionaire Tom Steyer also beat her with 22.9 percent of the vote to Porter’s 4.4 percent.)

So now, she’s going to become one of those BookTok influencers, or something. I doubt she’ll be a particularly good reviewer, for what it’s worth; as Fox News noted in 2023, she went viral when she was spotted reading the mock self-help book “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F***” during the House Speaker vote.

From the public record before and since, it’s pretty clear that the only thing she internalized from that tome was the vulgarity. Ah well. Bon voyage, Katie! And stay away from those cookbooks, lest you rack up another credible partner assault allegation.

The Times Backs Spain in the World Cup Final: Many Fans Say They’re Fed Up with Argentine Arrogance and Disrespectful Behavior
July 18, 2026

One of Britain’s most influential newspapers, The Times, has made its editorial stance crystal clear: Spain should win the 2026 World Cup final.

This position echoes a growing sentiment shared by many soccer fans, especially in the United States and the United Kingdom. Fans aren’t necessarily tired of Argentina’s on-field success, but of the provocations, confrontations, and attitude they associate with parts of the Argentine team, its supporters, and media circle.

Argentina’s path to another World Cup final has sparked debate well beyond the pitch itself.

Critics point to controversial refereeing decisions, rough and aggressive play, and repeated clashes involving Argentine fans throughout the tournament.

While Argentine supporters celebrate their team’s passion and fighting spirit, detractors argue that the tournament has too often been overshadowed by controversy, both on and off the field, and say they are exhausted by what they see as an arrogant mindset.

Throughout the tournament, videos have gone viral showing Argentine fans involved in verbal and physical incidents with supporters of other teams, including clashes in the United States and offensive chants against Spaniards in Spain.

The controversy has also extended to the media. Several Argentine journalists and influencers have faced backlash for derogatory comments toward other countries. One notable case involved Eduardo Feinmann, who apologized after receiving criticism for offensive remarks about Mexico.

One of the tournament’s most controversial moments came after the semifinal victory over England, when Argentine players displayed a banner reading “Las Malvinas son Argentinas” (“The Falkland Islands are Argentine”), a gesture widely criticized for bringing a territorial dispute into an international sporting event.

Argentina’s image suffered another blow after violent clashes between rival supporters from San Lorenzo and Huracán in Atlanta, where fans threw tables, chairs, bottles, and other objects, forcing police intervention and multiple arrests. The scenes revived concerns about Argentina’s “barras bravas”, ultra groups linked to violence and organized crime.

Off the field, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) is under serious financial scrutiny, including a U.S. federal investigation into alleged money laundering and fraud involving hundreds of millions of dollars in transfers, sponsorships, and banking transactions. Additional investigations in Argentina focus on suspected money laundering and tax evasion linked to soccer officials.

For many neutral fans, particularly in the United States, Spain represents a refreshing alternative.

Spain’s young squad is praised for its attractive, technical, possession-based attacking soccer and has largely avoided the off-field controversies associated with Argentina.

Critics argue that the Argentine national team has become associated with constant disputes, confrontations, fan violence, and an atmosphere of tension.

None of this diminishes Argentina’s soccer quality or achievements, but it helps explain why many fans are hoping for a different champion.

According to some observers, political symbolism, provocative celebrations, and growing polarization have become part of Argentina’s international image.

Supporters of Argentina reject that narrative, arguing that the team is subjected to greater scrutiny precisely because of its sustained success.

The debate has become almost as significant as the soccer itself.

Argentina is seeking a historic back-to-back World Cup title, while Spain hopes to complete the rise of a talented new generation that has impressed fans with its style and quality.

This final is about far more than soccer: it represents a clash of two different philosophies, two styles of competition, and two competing narratives.

Regardless of who lifts the World Cup, the controversy surrounding Argentina has become one of the defining stories of the 2026 tournament.
