School students in the state of Arkansas are now outperforming the national average, and it’s all due to a plan carried out by Republican Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who expanded school choice and created rewards and incentives for teachers who do their jobs well.

Other states should follow her lead, because her plan is clearly working.

Teacher unions typically oppose the idea of school choice because they are looking out for the teachers instead of the students. Local governments need to find ways to work around them. The money should follow the student.

This news out of Arkansas is fantastic.

Arkansas students outperform national average after universal school choice expansion, governor says

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders pointed to emerging results as evidence that the state’s universal school choice program is bolstering student outcomes after a new report indicated students participating in the program scored above the national average in math and English following the overhaul.

“In every single subject, last year we saw a 20% increase for our student performance,” Sanders said Tuesday.

“Arkansas is investing in education where it matters, and it’s paying off, and we’re seeing a big difference.”

Discussing the initiative on “Fox & Friends,” the Republican governor credited Arkansas’ Education Freedom Account program with giving families more control over their children’s education while pairing universal school choice with increased investments in public schools, teacher pay and literacy programs.

Sanders said that under the program, eligible families receive roughly $8,000 per student each school year to help pay for private school tuition, charter schools or homeschooling, while the state simultaneously increased funding for public schools and salaries for more than 12,000 educators.

“We had about 50,000 kids that have participated in last year’s school year and that have signed up for the upcoming year,” she said.

“That means that the money is truly following the students. We are empowering parents to make the best decisions about where and how their kids can be educated.”

In addition to embracing school choice, Arkansas has abandoned the teaching of woke topics on race and gender in favor of the basic skills of reading and math. Those are the skills that children need in order to succeed, no matter where they live.

Governor Sanders deserves credit for putting the children of her state first, ahead of the lobbyists and unions.

Making sure kids know how to read and do basic math should be the most important mission of every school in the country.

All of the progressive nonsense about race and gender helps no one.

US forces hit Iran early this morning for the fifth consecutive day since the memorandum of understanding and ceasefire collapsed last week. 

The strikes began at 6 am ET and are meant to “further degrade military capabilities Iranian forces have used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz,” CENTCOM said.

The military also released footage of a strike on a military target at an unspecified location.

CENTCOM later said in a press release that the strikes were continued at 7:30 am and targeted cruise missile sites on Greater Tunb Island, a small island near the Strait of Hormuz. 

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) completed a morning round of strikes against Iran at 7:30 a.m. ET on July 15.

CENTCOM launched precision munitions against coastal defense systems and cruise missile storage and launch sites on Greater Tunb Island during the 90-minute wave. The strikes further degraded Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

This comes as President Trump suggests that he is considering an invasion of Iran’s Kharg Island and the US is hitting missile and drone targets along Iran’s coastline to “degrade them far enough and deep enough back.”

In addition, the US Naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz took effect on Tuesday, and US forces have redirected at least two commercial vessels attempting to transit the Strait.

Trump said on Tuesday that under the blockade, the Strait of Hormuz is “open to ALL Ship traffic except for Iran” and that the “FULL Blockade” will only effect “Ships coming to and from Iranian ports, or carrying anything [having] to do with Iranian cargo.”

Meanwhile, the President is threatening to escalate the war by targeting Iran’s energy, oil, and transportation infrastructure, as well as taking over Kharg Island.

The network now known as MSNOW, which used to be called MSNBC, until they became too crazy for NBC News, recently tried to revamp their programming.

To say it isn’t working, is an understatement.

Their primetime programming is not gaining people, it’s losing viewers. How could this be happening?

New Lineup of MS NOW Shows Aren’t Catching On, They’re Falling Off!

MSNBC became MS NOW, and while they try to take comfort in routinely spanking CNN, they perennially lose in the ratings to the Fox News Channel. Their strongest stars are Rachel Maddow (only on Monday nights) and Nicolle Wallace in the late afternoon.

Recently, they shook up the lineup with new shows, and these new shows aren’t catching on. New Nielsen numbers show they’re falling off, in some cases with double-digit declines:

— Money, Power & Politics with Stephanie Ruhle airs weekdays from 9 to 11 a.m.) has averaged 710,000 total viewers, a 6 percent decline compared to the 9 a.m.-11 a.m. year-to-date timeslot prior to the lineup change. Among the 25-54 demographic, the program is down 16 percent, averaging 68,000 viewers.

— On the Line with Alicia Menendez (weekdays from noon to 2 p.m.) has averaged 602,000 total viewers, a 5 percent decrease compared to the YTD timeslot prior to the programming remix. Among the 25-54 set, it is down 15 percent, averaging 56,000 viewers.

— The Moment with Katy Tur (weekdays from 2 to 4 p.m.) has averaged 718,000 total viewers, a 5 percent decrease compared to the YTD timeslot prior to the programming changes. Among those aged 25-54, it is down 15 percent, averaging 60,000 viewers.

The report goes on to say that the ratings for their primetime shows are just as horrible.

And bear in mind that this is new programming. The trouble is that no one wants it.

The network changed their name from MSNBC to MSNOW in 2025, but the ideology of the network did not change.

Average Americans know liberal propaganda when they see it.

That is all that’s offered by MSNOW and you don’t need to be a media analyst to know that.

President Trump on Tuesday sat for an interview with Fox News, where he suggested that a ground invasion may be imminent in Iran and that the US may take over Iran’s critical oil export hub of Kharg Island. 

The President declined to say whether he would rule out a ground campaign, suggesting it might be necessary if he “thought it was appropriate.”

“Sometimes you need a ground campaign, but we have other people that will do the ground campaign for us,” Trump added.

Trump also said the ongoing air campaign against Iran, which resumed last week, will “continue until I say it’s enough.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, US forces carried out attacks on Iran for approximately seven hours last night, hitting “dozens of military targets near the Strait of Hormuz and Iranian coastal areas,” US Central Command said, releasing video of strikes.

This comes after a five-hour-long mission on Monday, where US forces hit targets across Iran, including Bushehr, Chah Bahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa, and Bandar Abbas.

It seems that the US is working to degrade Iran’s drone and missile capabilities in and around the Strait of Hormuz in preparation for an invasion of Kharg Island in the Northern Persian Gulf.

“If we degrade them far enough and deep enough back, I would do that,” Trump told Fox News with regard to an invasion of Kharg Island.

“We already hit Kharg Island, as you know, twice, even three times. I said, hit everything but the oil. Just leave that little area from 25 yards out. Leave that little area. Don’t touch the oil, because I don’t want that in terms of the world economy,” Trump said.

“You know, it’s a chunk of the world economy, so we haven’t hit that. At some point, we could, but I think it’s unlikely.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump also threatened during the interview to begin hitting Iran’s energy, oil, and transportation infrastructure next week.

“I’ll save the energy targets for last, but ultimately we’ll hit energy targets,” Trump said after confirming that daily strikes against Iran will continue.

“We’re going to knock out all their power plants, we’re going to knock out all their bridges unless they get to the table and negotiate,” he added.

The cyclospora outbreak is spreading like wildfire across the country. There were roughly 300 cases nationwide just a week to 10 days ago, now there are more than 3,000 cases in the state of Michigan alone! And these numbers are expected to grow dramatically over the next few weeks, in part because we still have no idea what is causing the infection.

Indeed, as cases of this parasitic infection, which causes “explosive diarrhea,” continue to sky-rocket, health officials are struggling to determine the exact source of the outbreak. According to The New York Post:

State and federal health officials are continuing to investigate multiple outbreaks, but the source has not yet been identified.

In previous US outbreaks, cyclospora has repeatedly been linked to fresh produce, including raspberries, basil, cilantro, green onions, snow peas, lettuce, mesclun and salad mixes. Research has also connected past outbreaks to blackberries, watercress, mangoes and vegetable trays.

Health officials in Michigan, one of the states hardest hit during the current outbreak, are beginning to suspect lettuce or salad greens may be responsible, although the investigation remains ongoing.

While the culprit remains unknown, what we do know is that the symptoms from the parasite aren’t pretty:

The parasite, cyclospora, spreads through raw produce and water contaminated with human feces – and it causes the intestinal illness cyclosporiasis, whose symptoms include cramps, nausea, fatigue, loss of appetite, low-grade fever and vomiting. The most commonly reported symptom is “watery diarrhea with frequent and sometimes explosive bowel movements”, according to the CDC.

Many Americans are asking what they can do to avoid this parasite:

Officials recommend following proper food safety practices when preparing meals.

Experts also say some foods appear to pose much less risk.

“To date, no commercially frozen produce, cooked foods or peeled fruit have been associated with cyclosporiasis infection,” one study cited by WPIX found.

The CDC advises washing hands thoroughly with soap and water after using the bathroom and before preparing food. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers do not kill cyclospora.

The Treatment

You can try to avoid every single food linked to cyclospora, you can follow all of the proper food safety practices, and you can still end up with the infection!
