Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche on Wednesday morning faced Senate Judiciary Committee members in a confirmation hearing.

President Trump last month announced that he nominated Todd Blanche to serve as Attorney General.

Blanche, a former federal prosecutor in New York, was chosen to serve as the Acting Attorney General after President Trump fired Pam Bondi in April.

Prior to serving as Acting Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General, Blanche served as President Trump’s personal attorney in New York.

“He’s Acting Attorney General,” Trump said at a Rose Garden event in early June.

Italian Prime Minister will get pushback at home and abroad – but it is worth it.

A fact that is incredibly offensive for the ‘new age’ sensibilities of liberals, but is nevertheless true: human hunters are a vital part of the ecological balance of species in many regions of our planet.

Just think about how many countries are suffering lately with insane invasions by wild hogs breeding with domestic pigs at a speed faster than they can be culled, and turning rural and suburban areas upside down.

Or how the resurgence of bear populations in Japan seems beyond the ability of the government to cope with it.

So, when Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s government proposes a reform of hunting laws, even if in the run-up of next-years’ elections, it seems like a good idea.

But needless to say, the proposed reform has become a huge battleground in Italy’s culture wars.

Politico reported:

“The legislation, which would mark Italy’s biggest overhaul of hunting laws in more than three decades, would expand the rights of hunters by extending hunting grounds and seasons and increasing the number of huntable species. Most controversially, it would redefine hunters as “bioregulators” who help protect biodiversity. It has been passed by the country’s senate and is now being examined by the Agriculture Committee of Italy’s parliament.

If passed, the bill would also renew tensions between Rome and Brussels. The European Commission in December sent Rome an official letter regarding the proposal over concerns it could violate the EU’s Birds Directive; the EU executive has said it is ‘closely monitoring’ the passage of legislation.”

So, there you have it: whenever European countries have good legislation in the works, the bullying and harassment by the Globalists in Brussels and Strasbourg kicks in immediately.

EU lovers from Politico also can’t fathom a reasonable motive for the legislation that’s not naked electioneering. “The government’s determination to push ahead with the reform has drawn attention as a potential play to woo conservative voters — particularly with Meloni now facing pressure from a new nationalist movement belonging to retired General Roberto Vannacci.”

“’We considered it essential to revise legislation that is more than 30 years old and adapt it to an environmental and hunting context that has changed considerably’, Senate Agriculture Committee Chair Luca De Carlo [rejected] suggestions the reform was politically driven. The bill is ‘not aimed at the conservative electorate’ but at protecting wildlife through better management, argued the lawmaker from Meloni’s Brothers of Italy party.”

President Trump is furious over his administration’s decision to capitulate to the radical left and corporate media on deportations after a series of ICE-involved shootings.

As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson reported, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents were yesterday directed to stop pulling over vehicles driven by illegal aliens. The Daily Mail confirmed that DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin created the directive.

This all came after fatal ICE-involved shootings in Maine and Texas.

In a long and passionate post on Truth Social, Trump argues that caving now will play right into the criminal aliens’ hands and that “it won’t happen on my watch.”

It’s not clear at the moment whether Trump has reinstated the policy or is just blowing off steam.

On Monday, 26-year-old Joan Sebastian Guerrero of Colombia attempted to run over ICE agents during a targeted enforcement operation on Monday morning, and he was fatally shot, The Gateway Pundit reported.

In Texas, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was fatally shot after ramming an ICE vehicle, ignoring commands, and trying to run over an agent last week.

A witness to the shooting in Maine confirmed on Monday that the vehicle was “put into drive and was trying to hit the ICE officer” before shots were fired, killing the suspect.

UPDATE: Trump has officially overturned Mullin’s order.

The White House tells me President Trump OVERTURNED the suspension of ICE traffic stops this morning.

This, after DHS sent a memo out to all field office directors yesterday – saying ALL vehicle stops were suspended until further notice.

A woman living in the Houston area of Texas was practicing pole-dancing in her apartment when the pole slipped and tripped off the unit’s fire sprinkler. By the time the water was shut off, multiple units below her had been flooded.

Note to aspiring exotic dancers – Find a place other than home to practice your skills.

Can you imagine being the landlord or the building manager in this situation? You wouldn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Pole dancing mishap leads to water damage in multiple apartment units

A west Houston woman’s pole dancing ended in disaster after the pole hit a fire sprinkler and flooded her and a neighbor’s apartment.

Asha Gilbert was filming herself in her living room on July 6 as she followed along to a pole dance workout tutorial.

Right as she begins spinning on the pole, the top dislodges from the ceiling and hits a fire sprinkler, causing water to shoot everywhere.

“Immediately, I’m in shock because I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, this cannot be happening to me,’” said Gilbert.

The pole was a recent addition to Gilbert’s living room. She says a colleague had given it to her just three days prior.

“He was like, ‘Hey, I have this pole, I’m giving it away. Do you want it?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, absolutely I want it.,” Gilbert said.

But when she and a friend installed it, they didn’t anchor it to the ceiling. Instead, they relied on the pole’s natural tension between ceiling and floor.

“It wasn’t even a thought that it could possibly hit the sprinkler,” Gilbert said. “We were more worried about it hitting a wall.”

This week on CNN, lone conservative Scott Jennings dismantled his fellow panelists, including former MSNBC host Touré Neblett, who were trying to claim that Trump is shredding the Constitution.

Touré kicks it off by suggesting that the goal of DOGE was to shrink the government so that it would be too small to stop Trump. Take a moment and consider what he is saying there. Is it the job of unelected bureaucrats to stop Trump? Why does Trump need to be stopped? These people never seem to take a moment to consider what they are saying or how incredibly stupid it sounds.

Jennings took apart their arguments with simple logic.

“Can I be real for a moment that DOGE is not about cutting money, right? It’s not about spending. It’s about shrinking government so that it’ll be too small to stop Trump with whatever else is in this plan,” Touré said.

“Why would the government stop Trump? Isn’t he the head of the government?” Jennings asked. “You’re saying the government would be too small to stop Trump. If Trump’s the president, why would the government, the bureaucracy, be actively trying to stop him?”

“Because he is shredding the Constitution,” Touré replied. “And creating an authoritarian dictatorship.”

“Is he?” Jennings asked.

“And no matter who is in office, I am going to hold them accountable, but more importantly, I’m going to make sure the government is working for the American people,” said Alencia Johnson, a former Harris 2024 campaign advisor.

You mean the American people who elected Donald Trump president in 2024?

“Both of you made an interesting point, which is that your view is that Trump is ‘shredding’ the Constitution — I’d like to hear more about that — but that, it seems to me that you all both believe that the unelected part of our government, the bureaucracy, has a responsibility to resist the political leadership. Is that your view?” Jennings asked.
