Huckabee Announces Update on New US Embassy in Jerusalem Project

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee announced on Sunday that the United States will soon be breaking ground on a permanent embassy in Jerusalem.

In 2018, President Donald Trump moved the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, becoming the first nation to do so. The change officially occurred on May 14, the 70th anniversary of Israel declaring its independence after the British Mandate governing the territory ended in 1948.

The U.S. embassy is currently in what was America’s consulate in the city.

Huckabee announced during a Sukkot reception for foreign diplomats hosted by Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion on Sunday, “We will soon be breaking ground on our property to begin the construction of the US embassy that will be our permanent home rather than being spread out all over the country,” The Jerusalem Post reported.

“It is our commitment as the United States of America and a partner of Israel to say that we are going to put a permanent imprint in this city,” Huckabee added.

Huckabee told Israeli media personality Menachem Toker at the event, “For 3,000 years, this has been the capital of Israel, the capital of the Jewish people, and it forever will be.”

Regarding the new embassy, he noted, “It will be our permanent and forever here in Jerusalem.”

Huckabee said in a July 1 news release after signing the agreement for the land for the U.S. embassy, “Today is another historic day for the U.S.-Israel relationship as the U.S. receives the property that will be the future home of the new U.S. Embassy complex — deepening and expanding our presence in Jerusalem — the eternal capital of Israel.”

“The U.S. will construct a magnificent and beautiful new U.S. Embassy complex that will support our indispensable partnership with Israel. The U.S. decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem was rooted in implementing U.S. law and the recognition of the deep, historic connection of the Jewish people to their eternal capital that goes back thousands of years,” he continued.

“It is meaningful that this milestone has occurred on the eve of America’s 250th anniversary. The Judeo-Christian values that inspired America’s founding fathers come from Jerusalem and throughout the land of Israel,” Huckabee said.

Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa’ar said at the time, “President Trump’s historic decision to relocate the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem was an act of historic justice. Today, with the signing of the agreement to begin construction of the Embassy’s permanent home, that decision becomes even more firmly anchored for generations to come. This agreement is about far more than the allocation of land. It is a recognition of history and a declaration of our shared future.”

Huckabee argued in June, “Without Israel, without the Jewish foundation, there would not be America. We owe our very existence to what happened in this land.”

Indeed, the United States’ Declaration of Independence justifies the American colonies’ break with Great Britain by citing the “Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God.”

The preeminent law book at the time of the founding, Blackstone’s “Commentaries on the Law of England,” elaborated on the phrasing.

“Upon these two foundations, the law of nature [established by God and observable in creation] and the law of revelation [found in the Bible’s Old and New Testaments and directly revealed by God], depend all human laws; that is to say, no human laws should be suffered to contradict these,” Blackstone wrote.

The Bible was written almost entirely by Jewish authors, and the Old Testament is largely about ancient Israel.

Other nations that have moved their embassies to Jerusalem following the U.S. in 2018 include Guatemala, Paraguay, Kosovo, Honduras, Papua New Guinea, and Fiji, according to The Times of Israel.

Colombia’s new government also agreed earlier this year to move its embassy there.

Scott Galloway admits he sold all his stocks after Donald Trump won the 2016 election in an emotional reaction, a decision he now calls “stupid” and one of his biggest investment mistakes.

The Trump Derangement Syndrome on the radical left continues to reach staggering, hilarious new heights of complete and utter self-destruction.

Left-wing NYU professor and media commentator Scott Galloway just admitted to making one of the single dumbest financial moves in modern history, all because Donald J. Trump won the election in 2016.

During his podcast, a visibly humbled Galloway confessed that he suffered a full-blown emotional meltdown on election night in 2016 and liquidated his entire stock portfolio in a fit of rage.

“When he was elected in 2016, I sold all my stocks. That was stupid,” Galloway said. He then put a price tag on the tantrum: “You could argue that decision cost me 40% of my liquid net worth in stocks.”

The comments came on The Prof G Pod and were clipped in a recent YouTube Short from his own channel titled “Why I regret selling all my stocks when Trump won.”

Galloway said he was convinced the market would crater because America had just elected “a reality show host.” Instead of waiting, he dumped everything, ate a massive New York capital-gains tax bill, sat in cash, and then bought back in six months later after the market had already ripped higher.

That is not analysis. That is Trump Derangement Syndrome with a brokerage account.

While Galloway was panic-selling, the S&P 500 closed 2017 up about 19 percent and logged record after record as tax cuts, deregulation, and growth expectations hit Wall Street. Stocks did not collapse. They soared.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Galloway is the quintessential “useful idiot” of the radical left. Just recently, he went on television hyperventilating and crying “doxxing!” after New York City far-left Mayor Zohran Mamdani published a public database of high-end property owners.

Galloway, who championed the socialist policies that brought Mamdani into power, was suddenly utterly shocked to discover that the commies were coming after his luxury wealth, too!

According to Fox News, Galloway spent years pushing radical Democratic talking points, once even insisting with a straight face that Kamala Harris would make a “great Supreme Court Justice.”

Let that sink in.

The man who thought Kamala Harris, a politician so famously incapable of unscripted sentences that her own party eventually had to hide her, belonged on the highest court in the land is the same guy managing his own money based on emotional meltdowns over Donald Trump.

On Monday, Kentucky State Trooper Hayden Phillips was fatally shot by a man during a traffic stop.

The suspect was taken into custody following a statewide manhunt.

Phillips was patrolling Interstate 65 in Warren County near Bowling Green when he was killed in the line of duty.

The unidentified suspect was described as a black male with dreadlocks.

The suspect initially fled in a blue Honda Civic with Alabama plates.

Governor Andy Beshear asked the public to join him in praying for Trooper Hayden Phillips’s family.

“Hayden was a hero who dedicated himself to protecting our commonwealth,” Governor Beshear said.

“Trooper Hayden Phillips, Unit 369, made the ultimate sacrifice while patrolling I-65 in Warren County. He was assigned to Post 3 Bowling Green and was a graduate of Cadet Class 103,” Kentucky State Police said in a statement.

Kentucky Republican James Comer also asked the public to pray for Phillips’ family.

“Please join me in praying for the family, loved ones, and fellow officers of Kentucky State Police Trooper Hayden Phillips, who was tragically killed in the line of duty today,” Comer said.

There is a small army marching on our nation’s border right now, otherwise known as a “migrant caravan.”

In response, the Trump DHS let the country know that they are on it with a funny X post:

A migrant caravan is marching toward the US border ahead of the .

More than 400 aliens from the Honduras entered Mexico on Thursday en route to the United States, Reuters has confirmed.

At least two NGOs are funding this caravan.

According to independent reporter Anthony Aguero, “Proyecto Faro and ADRA” are the two main NGOs assisting the migrant caravan.

Liberals will of course be upset, but this is the most moderate and temperate response possible.

In the old days, hundreds of people from foreign nations marching on your civilization would be considered an invading army and be treated accordingly.

Often these caravans have included large groups of military aged men, some even flying foreign flags.

Refusing them entry into our nation is the most basic and reasonable course of action. Others throughout history might have had them impaled on spikes.

Former Republican Congressman George Santos delivered a blistering assessment of Washington during a new sit-down with Bill Maher, claiming that much of what Americans see coming out of Congress is little more than political theater.

Appearing on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast, Santos ripped the mask off Congress and called the whole operation what it is: theater. Messaging bills. Backroom deals. Cigars, scotch, and pizza while the American people get treated like sheep.

Even Maher, who has spent years mocking Santos, sat there taking it in.

And when Maher gave Santos permission to speak candidly about Washington, Santos did not hold back.

“They’re all full of absolute sh*t.”

Santos then recalled a conversation he said he had with Republican Congressman Ryan Zinke of Montana shortly after arriving in Washington.

According to Santos, Zinke looked around Washington and told him:

“It’s all theater. Just remember this, you have one of the best seats in the country.”

Santos said the alleged remark shook his perception of Washington.

“And, you know, Ryan Zinke was somebody I looked up to as, like, a statesman,” Santos told Maher.

Santos claimed he soon began seeing what Zinke allegedly meant as one vote after another came before the House.

“I witnessed it vote after vote,” Santos said.

According to Santos, members frequently found themselves forced to choose between two undesirable options because voting “present” effectively meant surrendering their vote.

“You gotta pick a side on an issue. Yes, no,” Santos said. “So you pick a side, right? The less of the two evils.”

Then came his most brutal assessment of congressional voting.

“If I tell you the amount of times that the votes were just bullsh*t messaging bills—”

Maher jumped in: “That’s what John Fetterman says.”

Santos responded:

“It’s all f*cking Kabuki theater.”

Maher replied, “Exactly.”

Santos then described what he claimed happens after the public fights and partisan warfare on the House floor.

“At the end of the day, it ends in pizza,” Santos said. “Do you know what that means?”

Maher replied, “You order pizza?”

“Pretty much,” Santos responded.

Santos claimed that after lawmakers publicly battle one another, congressional leaders eventually gather privately and hammer out agreements.

“Nobody cares because they will end whatever their mishegas is on the floor, go and do their backroom deals,” Santos said.

He specifically referenced leadership pairings such as Hakeem Jeffries and Mike Johnson, Jeffries and former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi and previous Republican leaders.

“They get together, they smoke cigars, drink scotch or whatever the f*ck it is that they enjoy,” Santos said.

According to Santos, leadership then returns to the respective party conferences with the decision already effectively made.

“And then they ram it down the conference and the caucus’s throat and say, ‘This is what we’re doing!’” Santos said.

“And, like, we’re sheep.”

Santos claimed members generally fall in line with leadership, though some occasionally break ranks.

“We go there: ‘Yes, this is what leadership told us to do,’” he said. “Every now and then you’ll get a rogue. I happen to be one of those rogues who would kind of go against the grain… Oh, the scolding.”

As we documented in December 2023, 105 Republicans joined Democrats to expel Santos, a freshman with a 100 percent conservative voting record, while far more serious Democrat scandals never even get a floor vote. Steve Bannon told us that purge was “100% McCarthy,” the same leadership class Santos just described lighting cigars and ramming deals down the conference’s throat.

Santos later told The Gateway Pundit there is “no Fiscal conservative Party left in Washington, DC” and that the GOP had become “no different than the Democrat Party.” He called himself a “TRUMPlican.” After this interview, that diagnosis looks less like a campaign line and more like a field report.
