U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested an illegal alien from Ecuador as she tried to board a Southwest Airlines flight at Denver International Airport on Monday.

The woman was taken into custody right on the jetway while bystanders filmed and screamed, “Help us! ICE is here!”

According to ICE and the Department of Homeland Security, 27-year-old Chantal Alejandra Morales Rojas, an Ecuadorian national, entered the United States on October 20, 2024, on a visa that expired January 4, 2025.

She overstayed that visa and remained in the country illegally. She is now in ICE custody pending removal proceedings.

“On July 20, 2026, ICE arrested Chantal Alejandra Morales Rojas, an illegal alien from Ecuador. She entered the country on October 20, 2024, on a visa that would allow her to stay in the country until January 4, 2025. In violation of our nation’s laws, she overstayed her visa. She remains in ICE custody pending removal proceedings,” DHS said in a statement to CBS News.

Video circulating online shows plainclothes federal agents confronting the woman on the Southwest jet bridge as she prepared to board a flight to Oakland, California. Chantal’s friend, Alicia Dantzker, who was traveling with her, began filming, demanding a lawyer, and shouting at the officers.

Agents escorted Morales Rojas out a door onto the tarmac and into a Homeland Security vehicle while the companion yelled obscenities and accused them of being “evil.”

A Southwest gate agent stepped in and warned the disruptive passenger that she would not be allowed to board if she continued interfering.

More from Newsweek:

A fundraiser for a woman living in California who was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Colorado has surpassed $100,000 in under two days.

The GoFundMe was set up after agents detained Chantal Alejandra Morales Rojas on the jetway of a Southwest Airlines flight at Denver International Airport on Monday night. The Ecuadoran national initially arrived in the U.S. on a temporary visa and had applied for asylum, according to the fundraiser page.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) told Newsweek Rojas did not have to be in ICE detention—she could self-deport.

Southwest denied alerting DHS about Morales Rojas’ immigration status. The airline explained that the Transportation Security Administration and DHS already have access to passenger information through the federal security-screening process.

The airline also said employees are instructed to ensure that law-enforcement officers present the appropriate legal documentation before conducting operations in gate areas. Denver International Airport similarly noted that federal agencies have jurisdiction at the airport and are not required to notify airport officials before taking action.

According to the fundraising campaign:

This fundraiser is for a beloved Oakland resident who spent two years as the au pair for an ultimate frisbee family, becoming an integral part of their lives and the local community. Chantal entered the United States lawfully in 2023 with a J-1 visa as an au pair, complied with the terms of her visa, and has a recent pending application with the immigration authorities that would provide her with status. She is now living and working in Oakland on a work permit. Recently, while trying to return home to Oakland, she was detained by ICE at the Denver airport. In a shocking turn of events, she was taken from the jetway and hustled into an unmarked van on the tarmac. With the help of friends and supporters, we have tracked her down to an ICE facility, and are now doing everything we can to secure the legal support she needs for the long fight ahead.

STIFFED BY THE OBAMAS: Plumbing Subcontractor Forced to Shut Down and Lay Off 25 Union Workers After Being Owed Nearly $4 Million on Barack Obama Presidential Center
July 23, 2026

Mike Owen says his company suspended operations and laid off workers after claiming it is owed nearly $4 million for work on the Barack Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.

A Chicago plumbing subcontractor who poured years of work into the Barack Obama Presidential Center has suspended operations and laid off 25 union workers after being left nearly $4 million in the hole, just weeks after the star-studded grand opening of Barack Obama’s monument to himself.

Mike Owen, owner of Adamson Plumbing Contractors (which performed work under the name Marsh-Adamson), told Fox News the financial devastation from delays, endless design changes, rework, and unpaid invoices forced him to abandon roughly half a dozen other jobs and push the company to the brink of collapse.

He described the decision as painful but necessary to avoid outright bankruptcy.

“It was in the company’s best interest to suspend all operations. Moving forward until we could get back on solid financial ground. It was not an easy decision to make. Laying off close to 30 people is something that no owner in our industry wants to do,” Owen said.

“We actually had about a half a dozen other projects that I had to make the decision and walk away from. It’s a hard thing to do, especially when you know you can finish them and the company can still make money. But we were put in a pretty bad corner, and I also felt that the responsible thing to do was to talk to those other clients, explain the situation, and just say, “It’s best if we allow another contractor to come in and finish.”

The company suspended operations on June 25, mere days after the center’s June 19 public opening.

Owen filed a $1.72 million mechanic’s lien against the Jackson Park property covering the most clearly documented losses. He says the total hit tied to the project runs closer to $3.9 million.

The breaking point came around the glitzy opening. Adamson had agreed to supply plumbers for last-minute overnight work in exchange for a partial payment. The money didn’t arrive on time. Later partial payments, Owen said, were “too little, too late.”

“We negotiated to have two journeymen work for two weeks at night, so that’s premium time. On top of that, they also agreed to provide what came out to roughly 25% of our retention as our agreement to do the work.

“They verified it via email, went ahead and asked us to revise our May billing, which we did, and we went and had our vendor waivers procured. So, really, all we were waiting for was for the money to hit the bank, and it never happened.

“And that hurt us. Really, it was the final death blow for us because the suppliers involved—it would have helped us with what we owed them, and it would have made things a little bit more smooth for us to continue doing work. But after getting the payment skipped, it just made my decision that much more clear for me to suspend all operations.”

“This entire process is just—it really drained me out financially and, uh, emotionally. I’m not easily surprised, but I’m surprised that nobody politically has stepped up to challenge Turner Construction and Lakeside and ask them, “What the hell is going on?”

“I understand why there’s a hesitancy to say that to the foundation, but it would be nice for somebody at the foundation to maybe say, “Listen, we understand what’s going on here, and we’re going to make our best efforts to try to get this rectified.”

“But I haven’t heard any of it. You’re getting media throwing bouquets of congratulations and how great it’s going to be for everybody, and I have yet to hear anybody speak truth to power, as they love to say publicly.”

WATCH:

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported in June, contractors and subcontractors were already sounding the alarm ahead of the opening, claiming they were owed millions while the Obama Foundation’s promised $470 million taxpayer “safety net” endowment sat at a pathetic $1 million.

Costs on the project ballooned from an original estimate around $350 million to over $850 million (and reportedly past $1 billion). The foundation secured the 19.3-acre public parkland site with a 99-year lease for a one-time $10 payment.

Adamson Plumbing is not the first contractor controversy surrounding the project.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, another Chicago subcontractor filed a whopping $40 million racial discrimination lawsuit connected to construction of the Obama Presidential Center.

That subcontractor alleged that engineering requirements imposed during construction resulted in additional work and millions of dollars in losses.

An LGBTQ youth organization is being blasted online for wanting to pay white kids less than everyone else.

Sounds like anti-white racism.

The Gateway Pundit reported,

A Framingham, Massachusetts-based LGBTQ youth organization that was endorsed by Governor Maura Healy openly advertised a marketing photoshoot that paid White models less than “people of color” as a “commitment to racial equity.”

The organization, OUT MetroWest Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that describes its mission as building communities where LGBTQ youth “thrive through social, educational, and supportive programming.”

OUT MetroWest, in coordination with Rose Wine Photography, promoted a “Youth Photoshoot 2026” scheduled for August 12 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at its Framingham headquarters.

According to a report from Mass Daily News, the group sought 20 LGBTQ+ youth, pre-K through age 29, for photos intended for social media, fundraising, and marketing campaigns.

The original public posting and Google form stated:

“White youth will be paid $20 for participating, and BIPOC youth will be paid $25 for participating, as we plan to use these photos for general and specific marketing. BIPOC youth are paid at a higher rate in align to our commitment to racial equity.”

After the ad went viral and the legal issues were pointed out, the organization changed the fee to $20, with a “possible bonus of $5 for photos used at a higher rate, with prime photo placement.”

The left does not believe in racial equality.

The anti-white racism is on clear display.

It goes without saying, but imagine if the roles were reversed. Imagine a Republican governor had endorsed a group that wanted to pay black kids less just because they are black.

JUST IN: US Forces Strike Iran for 13th Consecutive Night
July 23, 2026

Aerial view of three images showing boats navigating a waterway, with red circles highlighting their positions against an industrial background.

CENTCOM launched strikes against Iran for the 13th consecutive night on Thursday.

President Trump recently said the ceasefire with Iran is over after Tehran struck vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.

“U.S. forces started another night of strikes against Iranian military targets at 6:45 p.m. ET today,” CENTCOM said.

“This is the 13th consecutive night of strikes aimed to hold Iran accountable and diminish threats from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to commercial shipping,” CENTCOM said.

Earlier Thursday, President Trump said Iran will pay for all damages done to ships, cargo or anything related.

Please let this statement serve to represent, until further notice, that from this point forth, any and all damages done to Ships, Cargo, or anything related thereto, will be paid for by Iranian Money that the United States has in its possession, and controls.

These damages may be very substantial but, nevertheless, this is the fair and equitable thing to do. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

On Tuesday morning, President Trump said any time Iran shoots at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, the US will respond by bombing one bridge or power plant:

From this point forward, any time the Islamic Republic of Iran shoots at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, whether it be by Missile, Rocket, Drone, or any other device or weapon, the United States will bomb and destroy ONE BRIDGE OR POWER PLANT, including those located next to, or in, the Capital City of Tehran. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

On Tuesday night, CENTCOM struck aircraft hangars, drone storage facilities and maritime capabilities.

18 US service members have been killed in action since the beginning of the US-Iran war.

President Trump on Wednesday attended the dignified transfer of the four American patriots killed in action in the Middle East by Iranian drones.

POWDER KEG BLACK SEA: Russia Is Striking Hard at Ukrainian-Bound Cargo Ships, Halting Odessa Region Ports’ Operations

Ukrainian-bound cargo ship struck in Black Sea – Social Media/Telegram

Navigation has become too risky.

There’s no denying that Ukraine’s deep strikes into Russian infrastructure and the campaign against shadow fleet tankers are causing real problems for Russia.

But the effects of these strikes are always much exaggerated in the media, since Reuters itself has just reported that Russian budget revenues from the oil and gas sector in July increased by approximately 60% compared to the previous year.

It’s also been reported that Chinese refineries have been buying Russian oil.

In the meantime, the renewed strike campaign by Russian forces against cargo ships bound for Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea are throttling Kiev’s exports.

Worse – reports say no vessels are entering any Ukrainian ports in the Odesa region for the first time since the start of the war.

Of course, in the MSM, when Kiev strikes Russian ships it’s a triumph, but when Moscow strikes Ukrainian-bound ships it’s treated as a despicable, criminal behavior.

Politico reported:

“’Russia is holding global food security hostage. Today zero vessels passed through Ukraine’s Black Sea maritime corridor — right at peak harvest. This is deliberate economic and humanitarian terror’, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said in an evening statement on Wednesday.

‘Just as Iran targeted energy routes in the Strait of Hormuz, Russia is now targeting global food markets in the Black Sea. Millions of families across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America may face rising prices and hunger if this terror continues’, Sybiha added.”

Global shipping firm Maersk stopped operations at the Odesa region ports this week, redirecting cargo to Romania’s Constanta Port.

Voennoe Delo reported:

“Ukraine has effectively lost the ability to receive vessels at its seaports. Vladimir Zelensky confirmed that no ships were able to enter Ukrainian harbors on July 22. He made the statement during a joint appearance with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin in Kiev.

The Financial Times had previously reported growing difficulties with exporting Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea. The newspaper linked the deterioration in maritime traffic to Russian strikes on military facilities near ports used to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces.”

“During the night of July 23, the Russian Armed Forces carried out another series of coordinated strikes using air-launched precision weapons and attack drones. In the port of Odessa, the attacks hit infrastructure used to unload and store military cargo. Elsewhere in the city, a plant producing drone components and a warehouse holding completed unmanned aircraft intended for the Ukrainian military were also struck.

[…] Russian forces have regularly targeted facilities in Chernomorsk, Yuzhny, Izmail, Odessa and the Dnepro-Bug port since July 11. The targets have included berths, military cargo storage sites, fuel tanks, drone assembly facilities and vessels both at anchor and in transit.”
