According to the latest data from Statistics Canada, the Canadian economy lost a net of 68,300 jobs in September. This follows a loss of 41,700 positions in August and wipes out all job gains for the entire year 2026.

The alarming results come after Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has led all provincial premiers in a coordinated effort to confront U.S. President Donald Trump through an “elbow’s up” program of political antagonism and trade conflict.

Based on economic scale, Canada losing 68,000 jobs in a month would be the U.S. equivalent of losing 500,000 jobs. The “elbow’s up” program may be politically beneficial to Prime Minister Carney, but the economic consequences are crushing the northern neighbors.

The Canadian dollar immediately weakened after the jobs report and was trading down 0.44% at C$1.4287 to the US dollar, or 69.99 US cents. Yields on the two-year government bonds reversed early moves and were trading down 9.5 basis points to 2.410%.

Moms for Liberty has announced a new tool to help parents address controversial policies before they are put to a vote.

The new AI system, Agenda Watch, Alert, Response, and Engage (M4L AWARE), will monitor school board agendas in more than 13,000 school districts nationwide for topics such as DEI, gender policies, curriculum changes, and Title IX issues.

Flagged items go to local chapters as a plain-language summary and a shareable alert, giving parents time to sign up for public comment before a vote.

Tina Descovich, Moms for Liberty co-founder and CEO, told Fox News Digital, “The Biden admin targeted our parents for showing up to school board meetings, but we were just getting started.”

“Wait and see what happens when parents receive timely information about what is being discussed at their school board meetings.”

Per Fox News:

When the system flags a high-priority item, it sends local Moms for Liberty chapters a plain-language summary and a ready-to-share alert designed to help parents organize before a school board meeting.

The organization says its system is designed to give chapters a window of roughly 72 hours to mobilize parents, sign up for public comment and scrutinize proposals before board members cast their votes.

“Moms for Liberty is harnessing AI to increase the oversight of school boards across the nation, empowering parents like never before,” Descovich said. “For five years, we’ve asked parents to show up at school board meetings, and they have. The problem is that it’s incredibly time-consuming to sift through thousands of pages in agendas each week, and school districts count on that.”

The announcement comes after the U.S. Department of Education (ED) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) sent a joint letter to all state Attorneys General reaffirming the Trump Administration’s commitment to protecting parental rights.

“The letter puts Attorneys General on notice that under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA), parents have the right to know and be informed of the most sensitive and personal information pertaining to their children.”

The Biden administration weaponized the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to investigate parents who attended school board meetings,” including setting up a dedicated snitch-line,” with some parents labeled “domestic terrorists.“

“One FBI field office interviewed a mother because she was a member of Moms for Liberty, which it disparaged as a ‘right-wing mom’s group.’”

A powerful preliminary magnitude 8.0 earthquake struck Panama on Friday.

Tsunami warning was issued for 9 countries: Ecuador, Colombia, Nicaragua, Panama, Guatemala, Peru, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Mexico.

The USGS later downgraded the earthquake to a magnitude 7.7.

There are no immediate reports of injuries. Some buildings have been damaged.

ABC News reported:

A strong 7.7 magnitude earthquake rattled Panama on Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The U.S. Tsunami Warning System has issued potential tsunami threats in the region, saying “hazardous tsunami waves” are possible in the next few hours along some coasts in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Peru, Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, Nicaragua, Colombia and Ecuador.

The earthquake struck southern Panama on the Pacific side of the country, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The epicenter was 12 km west-southwest of Pitaloza Arriba, Panama.

Over a dozen aftershocks have been recorded since the earthquake occurred shortly before 1 p.m. local time, according to the Panama president’s office.

On Friday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the Trump administration is sanctioning the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Secretary Rubio said the United States will not allow the court to prosecute Americans and called it a “rogue court.”

The order blocks the ICC’s assets under U.S. jurisdiction and bars U.S. companies and people from doing business with it, including banking and software.

Rubio noted that the United States never joined the Rome Statute and rejects the court’s claim of jurisdiction over Americans and also rejects the threats made against Israel and its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“For decades now,” Rubio began, “both Republicans and Democrats have rejected the idea that the International Criminal Court has any power to prosecute American citizens, to prosecute military service members or political leaders, because America never joined the court.”

“We don’t need that court and we don’t want it.”

“But now globalist experts that are an ocean away, they don’t care what you think. They want the International Criminal Court to do more, including the prosecution of American citizens and service members that are defending their country,”

“They want to prosecute Border Patrol agents that are protecting our nation’s borders, and they want to prosecute our elected leaders that are ensuring our national security. They want more power, and they want it at the expense of our sovereignty as a nation.”

“And President Trump will never allow the International Criminal Court to prosecute Americans.”

“And that’s why today the United States is sanctioning the International Criminal Court. We will ban transactions with this rogue court, cutting off their resources and crippling their ability to operate against us.”

“Because our message is clear: the United States and the American people are not subject to the jurisdiction of this fake ICC. Both parties agree on this, but only President Trump has the resolve to take the action needed to end this threat once and for all.”

“Either the ICC will end its threats, or we will end the ICC.”

President Trump on Friday released a statement on his latest phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Trump said the US will now be importing diesel fuel from Russia.

The President secured several million tons of Russian diesel ahead of the midterm elections in additional to his executive order to slash prices.
